I had to give up and craft the guy. Black is always breaking down. If Pyramid was still a pure element then I would've been able to skip black altogether. After a parade of Neo Bubbles, Lunar Rams, Ferrets, Athletics and that dreaded Penumbra I said to heck with it and cut my losses.

Wow, got one with Fire & Night on the first try!

Tried for a second one with the same combo and got 22 hours - oh well.

I always breed or craft two of these dragons - one I keep at level 1 to send on quests and I evolve the second one for points. After the event is over, I sell the level 1 dragon.

First attempt: Raven + Playful = 9hrs
Second attempt: Raven + Playful = 11hrs
Third attempt: Neo Fire + Night = 4hrs
Fourth attempt: Neo Fire + Night = 4hrs

Got it with night elf and fire after a few long fails.

That is my strategy too. When finished the evolved dragon goes into stable. Sometimes I will evolve the other dragon and disenchant.

So far, no joy with breeding Khnum.

Heh, same here too. It's why it's so maddening when you have no choice but to craft for the first one, since by that time, you've literally lost hundreds of points via collecting from the quests xP
