I'm getting very few crowbar drops. The majority of the ones I had, I found in the Newspaper. I'm glad some players are so fortunate as to get so many crowbars and are putting them up for sale...but it would be nice to get more on my own as well.

There is nothing to fix. THIS is the challenge. Most of the canteens I've gotten, not to mention crowbar, have been from the newspaper.

I made it to goal 7 of 8. On the plus side, at least it seems I only need to make 1 Piranha Punch...which is a good thing since 1 Piranha Punch requires 18 Jungle Canteens, and my pigs are so thirsty with this hot summer that they aren't giving up their canteens willingly. But 4 Expedition Souvenirs? And another 5 for the Ear Wiggle goal? Well, I know I'm going to hold out for the Hippo first, but that still requires a LOT of Jungle Canteens as well as a lot of Crowbars I'm going to be needing. Sigh...

I got the hippo yesterday. Not doing the rhino since I don't care for decorations. Been able to sell around 40 canteens since then. Luckily I get 2-3 canteens every time I collect from my pigs.

Yes it can definitely go in the waterfall, which is like 5k coins, far better than gems.

Am I misremembering something? For some reason, I am remembering that the rewards for completing the 8 goals included showing images of components for the Souvenir, as well as one Piranha Punch. Or, were those images intended to indicate that the RECIPES for those components had been unlocked? If so, it would be better to not show those images at all, because they are confusing...in particular because it is not really a reward the way the coins and the xp are.

As I wait for my last gold coin needed to make a souvenir completes, it just occurred to me that I need to do this THREE MORE TIMES, plus make a Piranha Punch. I thought I might be able to make it to the Rhino decoration, but looks like I won't. I just plum forgot that it was four souvenirs, not one. D'oh! At least I got the hippo. Guys, those who are close to the hippo, keep going, he's worth having. I'll try to help out!

I did deinstall and reinstall. Still not good. I stopped doing the 8 part goal at step 6 because I wanted the hippo more than the rino. Perhaps that may be my problem of not getting the Piranha Punch which is required at step 7. I will work on that goal and see. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and support

I wonder if I will be able to finish and win the Hippo. I have 3 more Souvenirs to craft, but they are requiring a lot of Canteens, and my Pigs are being very conservative. Total I need 39 more Canteens, but in less than 5 days? With my pigs only dropping 1 or 2 with each collection cycle, The odds are not looking too good...

I wonder if I will be able to finish and win the Hippo. I have 3 more Souvenirs to craft, but they are requiring a lot of Canteens, and my Pigs are being very conservative. Total I need 39 more Canteens, but in less than 5 days? With my pigs only dropping 1 or 2 with each collection cycle, The odds are not looking too good...

I think you'll make it. I was getting 2 or 3 each collection, a couple times I got 4, and a few times I got 0. I was able to do about 1 souvenir a day, as I also hunted and HUNTED the newspaper and community for canteens. I would buy statues and fish tile things I didn't need, cuz if they were selling those they might be selling canteens. I got my hippo and rhino, so stick with it.

I did deinstall and reinstall. Still not good. I stopped doing the 8 part goal at step 6 because I wanted the hippo more than the rino. Perhaps that may be my problem of not getting the Piranha Punch which is required at step 7. I will work on that goal and see. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and support

I am finding this event rather confusing with regard to the hippo and the rhino. Are they both decorations or is one an animal which will require a habitat and roam loose on the farm and if so which one.

Hippo is a pet. Rhino is a moving decoration, it stomps in place.

Hippo Pond is not a habitat.
The hippo can live in the Jungle Falls or the Gentle Gazebo.

I just totally wasted ALL THAT WORK for the Rhino. Really S8? All that for a decoration? F! Can't even give it a D grade it's that bad... :(

Well looks like I did the same. I read and re-read the task list and apparently didn?t read it right. Under ?Wiggle? is Goal 8 so I thought that was for the Rhino so I was working on the Expedition goals thinking it was for the Hippo. Confusing how it was written. I had one more souvenir to give and finish on time and now there?s no way to get the Hippo. What a joke.

What I am really struggling with is getting enough coins to buy the creates for the binoculars, 500coins each and look at how many we need, I’m broke, each time I get up to 500 coins I buy a create then back to waiting, I have my shop full, honestly how are we meant to get enough coins to do this, for me it’s nearly 2am, I can’t stay awake any longer, I only need to finish 2 more or the things in the studio to complete the quest and it all comes down to no money

Finished the event and received my Hippo (probably won't put it out until November, though...my Pet rotation schedule is totally full :p), but it took so long that there's no way I'm going to have enough time to even start on the Stomping Rhino decoration. Which is a shame, because I saw it on a neighbor's farm and it looks really good.

Oh well. Time to start preparing for the next event...

My best advice on having enough coins is to pass up events until you have a good bank built up. Spend a week crafting really high cost items and sell constantly. What do ppl need for the event? Sit it out and craft them for others to use. The only way to make real money is sell. The only way to sell expensive stuff is to craft it. The only way to craft it is to be patient and spend the time. It takes 7 hours to make a purse, so it's a 7 hour wait. Use the time to harvest all the base items u need for more expensive stuff. U should be able to make at least $50k every three days or so if u craft wisely. Then you'll be well prepared for the next time u have to spend coins on boxes.
