Hey Fellow Caretakers and welcome to the 2nd tournament for the month of July. I guess we have a flying insect as a tournament boss this time. Introducing the Hive Queen Dragon. By the way, this dragon is very creative. Win 30 battles and she's yours. Good luck to all!

Give it a go NuiCakes, you've been doing really well on tourneys. I'm behind because I waited for lower level battles for Tales. Good thing because Ninja had 3 losses! Playing catch up now...

If you have Amazon, I'd try it out. Maybe try Crusader, Ridgeback, a max Fire/Neo Fire or Glasswing/Neo Glasswing.

Not sure what you've tried but Achilles worked for me; Sky succeed with Neo Fire. Maybe try Crusader, Passion, or Glasswing? Sometimes I get lucky with the new beast types like Unicorn 2nd.

I just bought an iPad a week ago, tried it out for the battle arena (not for the tournament) and noticed battles are harder than on my android. I'm going to experiment with using the iPad solely for the next tournament and give feedback.

I lost with Infinity 2x, inquisitive, Warden, Barbarian, Dark, Unruly, Neo Glasswing, Dire Wolf, Mithril 3x, Sketetal Knight, Warrior Princess too. I have Passion but, I always forget about her. I just beat her with Passion. My younger account lost with Mithril 3x too, Neo Valiant 2x, Warrior Princess, Sketetal Knight, Inquistor, Light Mother and Berserker, Barbarian. its funny when I got Inquisitor its named Achilles and I didn't even know that I just noticed it haha. Same as my Highland. On the younger one don't have Passion, both I don't have Achilles, crusader or Neo Fire.

I was stuck on Stalwart for a day and finally was going to use gold to get past him and figured knock a bingo card out of the way...so I used Bramble and what do you know he beat Stalwart on his own

I know that Elsa suggested that it might just be bad luck and maybe that is true. However, if so, my string of both bad and good luck has lasted for almost 2 years. I had been playing with an android tablet since September of 2014 and doing okay with most tournaments. That tablet became more and more difficult to use at all though as to do anything, I had to delete all data each time I came on, could not get a keyboard and if I let the graphics load for a battle, I would get kicked out. Finally, about 2 years ago, I purchased an IPad and it has been much better, but I kept the android. A funny thing happened though. in tournaments, when my opponent was level 16 or higher, I almost never won. Finally, in desperation, I tried the old android on a level 16 opponent and won. I finished the tournament using the android, no battle graphics and just trying to make sure the battle results were finalized before getting kicked out. On occasion, I would get booted before the results were finalized, but not often. Now, I use the IPad for the beginning of the tournament and the android for higher levels and have finished every tournament that I have entered without problems. So, yes, maybe I do have bad luck with the IPad against high level opponents but my luck using a badly outdated android, has been incredibly good. Good luck to you

Why is Carnival so hard to beat? Got stuck on it on 2 different accounts. Decided to quit the tournament since I can't get past it.
I did finally get the Hive Queen on my oldest account, but I think that is because I used gold to get past some of the battles in order to complete the Storybook. I don't mind spending gold when it counts towards: the Battle Boss, the monthly tournament dragon, the final SB dragon, and the prize you get for winning the final SB dragon and the final deco (being able to choose another dragon, farm boosts, or adventure tickets). An investment of 120 gold isn't bad when it helps you get all those things.

I didn't get on much yesterday and am paying for it now. Not sure if I should spend gold or hope Hive Queen comes back around.

I would say if you think it's worth getting now then spend the gold. If you could do without it then wait about 4 months for it to be in the codex. But if you want to defeat it then I would say use one of the ADIPS dragons again and use the disposable fire strategy while the dragons heal. Also, if you have Defender and it's over level 12 then use it or Glasswing/Neo Glasswing. I would say try Dark like I did but Dark doesn't work for everyone. Good luck!

Thank you Sky, I will try Defender 15, and my Dark is 12(?) - May be just the ticket!? I'm healing Achilles now.
I've got so many good dragons in storage, I can probably do without. Just like the looks of her. I remember where we had a string of repeats in the tournaments, so maybe it will show back up?
I get a bit stubborn when I've battled the same dragon a bunch & have won before on the first try, same dragon choice. It also won't **** me to fork over the 30 gold. Time will tell- lol!

With 16 dragons in line for the spa and 30 minutes left to battle, I'm calling it.
