Is it possible to create a dragon from the codex using essence if you already have one of those dragons ?
Yes I do like some of the dragons enough that I would like two of them ;)

I was just wondering that same thing. I couldn't see that option.

No, unfortunately, you can't.
You can only craft with essences a Dragon that you don't own at all or a Dragon that you own but he is being kept in the storage (not the Stable), because the Codex doesn't recognize our storage invenory!
