The least S8 could have done was give us 10 NEWWWWWWW prizes that we don't already have & haven't already seen on repeat umpteen times & ad nauseum, already. Heck, even ONE new prize woulda been nice, at this point.
Oh wait, that's what the Emperor Griffin is, but we gotta fork out MAJOR rotten cabbages to get it..(which prolly has the same-ole, same-ole drops as every other Griffin. *yawn* The only unique thing is the way it looks.)

I'm pretty sure winning the grand prize from the tent 10 times, any prize, will work. To be honest, I'm not impressed by the griffin which is essentially just a recoloring and not going for it. But I'm happy to see an energy dropper, and a gorgeous spring unicorn at that, even if she's a re-release.

Eh.... I'm glad to see an energy dropper back in the tent but that's all I'm happy about.

Boo to s8 for raising the number of prizes needed to win the new animal but not giving us any new items. You want to push the tent on us s8? PUT NEW ITEMS IN THERE and I guarantee you, you'll see players swarming the place. It's really very basic and it's astonishing to me that you can't seem to understand this.

The collector in me really, really wants to get that bird despite knowing it'll likely just give regular drops with maybe a chance for gold or something. However, I think the pragmatist in me is going to win this one. I don't feel comfortable tossing my precious cabbages at items I've already got and don't take out of storage. Maybe I'll eat my words but unless I get that Unicorn several times (only saw it once last time) I just don't see it happening.

In addition to your 3 free daily rotten cabbages, you can accumulate (& save) more cabbages if you have the Cabbage Hut. To read more about that, check out the section of the HUB that SpiritWind dedicated to the Baron's Tent. (Link is always near the top of post 1 for each month's Tent update).


I agree with the sentiments posted here about the Emperor Griffin. THAT prize (along with a few more), could have been a NEW item in the Tent this month instead of forcing us to win 10 things we already have just to get it!
I really miss the old days when there were at least roughly half new items along with half repeats to compile the list of 10 prizes available, which gave us something each update to look forward to getting ....but as it is lately, most months are just a copy/paste of that month a year before.
This month is no different & repeats the same disappointing pattern with it being an exact copy of March 2018 (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?103394-03-02-Update-Baron-s-Tent-Prizes-(March-2018)).


SW ~ Could you please inquire about the official drops of the Emperor Griffin for us?
With the exception of the Spring Unicorn (which we all know probably won't appear 10x in the next 20 days), using our saved rotten cabbages for 10 ho-hum prizes we already have is not really incentivizing players to go for a reskinned Griffin.

I don’t have anywhere near enough cabbages to get 10 items for this, so the most I was hoping for was to at least get a Spring Unicorn, as I didn’t have any (didn’t have a cabbage hut the last time they were in the tent). To my surprise I have been offered a Spring Unicorn both today and yesterday, so I have got 2 of them now, which I’m quite pleased with! :)

We have seen the cap of 4 placed on some energy animals we can craft and on some we can purchase in the Market but never in the Baron's Tent because if it appears there and you "win" it by throwing the rotten cabbages for it, you get it regardless of how many you already have on your board or in storage.
Otherwise, a whole lot of Support Tickets would come streaming in by players who didn't receive their Tent prize!

Unlike (almost?) every poster in this thread, I happen to *LOVE* the Emperor Griffin!!!! I?ve never really liked the look of the griffins (kind of ?eh? to me), but I really like how this one looks, ?reskinned? or no. And it?s not entirely, as the wings are in a different position than the other griffins I?ve seen.

I just wanted to add my two cents so S8 knows there are some players out there who DO love the griffin! ❤️

I would play to win him regardless of the drops because I?m one of those players who doesn?t obsess over that and isn?t royally peeved when it?s not the-best-darn-dropper-released-yet. However, I also don?t have enough cabbages stocked up to meet the 10-win goal. I could make it to 6, assuming I have to use 25 cabbages each time, which is not always the case but was for me today, so it could happen. I really hesitate to start playing and trying for it if it will use up all my cabbages and still not be a guarantee of getting the griffin. That?s the part that?s very disappointing for me.

I have 561 cabbages. I have 2 cabbage huts and I collect from them every day and I don't use them in the tent unless there is something in there I really want. They add up after a while..

i've had the spring uni (which of course i grabbed), gnome ivy (nope), teacup garden (no-i debated on this one though so if it comes back up, i might), carriage (which i actually like the look of-i know i am in a minority. but it has crappy drop so no), and the corgi (no). i may do the poodle. if i knew what the giffin drop was then i might be more inclined to get less nice prizes.

They could program it to randomly select items from whichever event is in progress - given how variable the tent is for players anyway, I can't see that this should detract from the 'challenge' of events in S8's eyes. That would certainly increase the tent's appeal. And yes, timing could mean that someone got an item pop up just as an event ends, but given we get prizes we don't anyway that's a very minor issue.

you know what would be worth it? if we just gave them 5 cabbages & it would speed up the timer on the "day" so we could have a new prize posted. that way if you didn't like the one you had, you could "refresh" the tent

I really don’t understand how some people get multiple unicorns out of the tent and others of us don’t see one. I feel like there’s an unknown component that you do that gets better drops or items for some players. The randomness doesn’t seem right.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere, not that I looked very hard, but here it is. How much energy remains to be seen, since it has a 22 hour timer and I just got it.
I ended up getting one unicorn at least. And a fox cub, 2 extra griffinas , Gnome Ivy, 2 ugly poodles, and 3 palisades. But I had a cellar full of rotten cabbages, so hopefully it'll be worth it.


First collection was......drumroll......an underwhelming 3 energy. Woohoo.

My tent has had a variety of items, except for the spring unicorn of course. That only showed up once. Lots of griffins, poodles, penguins, and palisades.

I really wish S8 would have gotten back to us on the drops for the Emperor Griffin, cuz even with just the reported 2-3 energy drops, I probably would have gone for it. But since we heard radio silence, I assumed its drops were just like all the other Griffins & they just didn't want to confirm it.
Oh well, I got 3 Spring Unis ...
It'll be interesting to see if the prizes will change out tomorrow for April or not, seeing as how these prizes haven't even been in the Tent a month. Again, I assume they *will* change cuz S8 doesn't like for alicorns or unicorns to stay in there too long now, lol.

I've never had any strong feelings one way or the other in regard to Foxes. However, having seen the darn thing in my tent daily has tipped me over into not liking them... at all. I fear what my reaction will be should I see one in real life any time soon, lol.

When the Griffin goal popped up and had a timer, I foolishly thought that this was an indication that the tent items would be changed at that time as well. I should've known better. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of having more time (in theory) to get a shot at the Spring Unicorn. But I can't help but want the tent items to change when all I'm seeing is that darn Fox and the Teacup.

They've really got to update the way the tent operates, it's ridiculous that we should get the same item so many times in a row!

I know exactly what you mean!! I play with 2 different accounts and I got 1 spring unicorn just a few days ago on my older account and just this morning got 1 on my second account. There is still time as they are doing this all month so I wish you loads of luck!!!
