Chapter 1

Many tales are told of the Forest of old, but none quite as thrilling as this. This is the story of the brave Hippocampus and the Skyvern and Muuse who set off to find Apollo's golden hoof.

Chapter 2

Chapter 5

Hippocampus just kept awimming though the tumultuous waves! Her determination was unbound by the courage of her cause. When the waves became too strong she dove deeper and deeper but the deeper she went the stronger the currents became! It was almost as if the storm was following her into the depths! Just when she thought she was safe she found herself sucked into a glowing whirlpool!

Sha used her Lyre-like antlers to create soundwaves to echo though the canyon with a sonar effect. The sounds, as beautiful as they were, caused the walls of the labyrinth to collapse!

Chapter 10

All at once, the three friends found themselves landing face first in the green and glowing landscape - they were at the Underworld Fissure! "What brought us here!?!" they all exclaimed in unison, and they heard a serene answer. With golden light casting away the green flames of the inderworld. Apollo himself appeared before the adventuring ladies! They indeed found the hooves of Apollo, four of them in fact! But they were on Apollo's legs and he would nor part with them. It was then they learned the true lesson of theur journey: It is not the destination that defines an adventurer, but her journey that forges her into a heroine!

I must say that I absolutely love the Skyvern! I can't believe that it is the first prize and not the top prize. The cloud pattern in the wings is just beautiful.

Me too. Not happy with the game now too much money to finish events. On my second game I have a clearing axe that’s sits across two expansions making them unusable, this has been a problem for over a month and S8 tell me there is nothing they can do about it. Then they put out 4 new habitats every month and I could not place them if I wanted to. Laughable.

Ever since I came across a picture of Hercules battling the Hydra, as a child, I have been fascinated with all types of mythical creatures. So it is with both delight and great sadness that I greet this month's theme of mythical creatures. Delight because this is what I have been hoping FFS would one day have when I first started playing it. Sadness because the developers are still steadfastly refusing to release any expansions or say anything about it, and so I am unable to purchase any new habitats or hatch any new creatures without my first having to euthanize any of my current darlings.

I think the baby Muuse is so cute! and the wings on the Skyvern are quite lovely. Not a fan of the epic form though and Apollo just a bit too plain ... so I might just sit out the final prize this time

I tried so so hard to breed a hippocampus ... But nothing came , I used several gems still nothing all I was trying to do was get the most wonderful animal , The Apollo :( nothing works for me :( I'm so so sad

It took me some time to get the Hippocampus, as well. I had a couple 14 hour fails in there. Don't be discouraged. You still have a few days to keep trying. Basic works best. Frostfang and Pandaffodil. I hope you get it!

I am very happy for you that you got the Hippocampus! :D Looks like my good luck sent to you worked. Keep going, you should have no trouble finishing the Storybook to get your Apollo.

I too am having huge trouble breeding the common, just tried skyvern and crystal and I get 18 hours??? What is that?? It?s a shame they don?t seem to give as much attention to this as dragons as I prefer this one but with the introduction of creatures into dragons I think this is becoming an afterthought

I suggest u keep trying frostfang and the panda , if that doesn't work then try the glacial griffin ( the one with mythic and leaf ) with frostfang ... I'm so sorry about ur breeding problems :(

I have no idea how far behind I am, I let the storybook start automatically and started trying to breed the hippocampus as soon as event was available. I don’t want to waste any more gems as I am still on level 21 of the tournament, not having good luck there either. I have been playing this game as soon as Castle Story offered it and I have only not finished one storybook before a Zodiac one but got that the second time around. Hopefully the power of the post will help.

Power of the post did help, I sped up the last breeding and it worked and I’m also up to 24, so hopefully I can get to level 30 for the storybook chapter 10. Party time!

Squee! I just finished the Storybook and got Apollo! Of course, I went into the Storybook at level 24, so I only had to do the easier challenges...I am still happy though that I was able to finish.

The Storybook is the one event that it seems we can usually get all the animals, as long as we are able to breed the required animal (in this case the Hippocampus). Just so you know, all Storybooks follow the same format, so now that you've done it once, you'll be prepared in the future. Keep your Bamboon and Plantlers because you have to breed with them every Storybook.

I'm hoping that tomorrow brings a leaderboard!

Aww, that is such a cute name! Yes, I forgot, the other barrier to completing the Storybooks is that you must finish found 30 of the tournament every time. I try to make sure that I get past 4-5 opponents per day in order to stay on schedule.

I liked these animals. Skyvern is beautiful! Only thing I'm still suggesting...run the Leaderboard during this. Like, on the last day when we need to waste food feeding the second animal to level 14. 56,000 is a lot of food and, for LB, points.
