Is anyone else having an issue with the Free Gift videos telling you that they did not finish? This is happening to me over and over, and I keep getting the same advertisement so I wonder if that?s it (one that features chickens). I watch the video, and even wait an extra 30 secs or so after it finishes, then click the cross. I get the message that the video did not finish, no gift, and the choiceto play again. I have hard closed the game, waited a full day, and it?s still happening.
i?m watching the videos, so give me the gifts!

Not sure about free gift but with the double reward.
I get notices saying it didn't finish and right under it is a notice saying it did and that I received the notice that I did receive the double reward. I think sometimes with the free gift too but play so many games and can't remember as it does then reward. I know another game has this too.

I’m on an iPad Pro, and have iOS 12.1.3. The game app is up to date. I doubt it’s that as it’s worked properly until the last few days.

I agree with you newzealander... the first video finishes and then gives you nothing. The second one works as normal, but I haven't gone to the 3rd one. I've only noticed that this week, and only twice so far, but I haven't had time to check on this properly.

I think I'll go ahead and report this to S8 for us... done

OOPS - we’re there. Ok so far it’s the chicken/farm one for me. Wild West? And also the Clash of the Something where the two teams of soldiers meet in the middle in a trench of some sort and battle with a view from above? If you’ve seen it, you’ll know it! And the one where you cook your own burgers? It prompts you to select the ingredients to sell burgers to the waiting customers.
I’ll note any others as I get them.

Ok, so tonight the chickens worked (first time for them in ages!) and the slot machine - huuge casino worked twice. I don’t know what’s changed (nothing at my end), but long may it continue!

Thank you for the description! Do the ads say what network they're from? It's usually on the final card at the end of the video or in the bottom corner.

I’ve narrowed it down, Elsa. The only one that does this often (at least 80% of the time) is the Wild West New Frontier. And the interesting thing is that I have another S8 game (with dragons), and I have just noticed that the same video doesn’t do what it is supposed to there either. It should ‘finish’ the waiting time to battle dragons, but it never does.
Also interestingly, I downloaded the game and played it a little to see if I could stop getting that video. It didn’t work! Even after completing restarting my device, it doesn’t pick up that I already have it.
So there’s definitely a problem with that video. Here’s the final splash screen:

I just keep getting the same ad over and over, the game with the island that is a matching game, and I always get the prizes but... tonight after the video I got the pop up that the prize I won was an alicorn! I nearly screamed for joy! But then the galloping steed came along, and nothing! No alicorn! I sent in a note to support through the link in the settings in the game, surely they can look back into my game to see this and give me back my baby ali right?

Thanks Elsa. I got one video to play this evening. It was a poker video I think. Sorry I didn't pay close enough attention to the name. Then got a message saying I had received a stone block (I think) then got this error message:

Thankyou so much for getting this fixed!! I am so glad the ads for the island matching game are gone! Everything is working perfectly for me now! :)

:confused: They keep showing, ?Error, something happened with the Video, would you like to see another. And same thing. The Videos are not playing, so no rewards. It?s been a few days. I asked about it on the last goal, Monster Hunt, guess it was wrong place, no answer. So, Fix this, Please!

So this this is what has been happening now for the past few weeks. I click on play video and get that error message in the first photo. If I press "continue" then I get the man on a horse graphic and then back to the error message.

I've found that the videos that demand participation never seem to work.... they act as though they are over but when you hit the X it will say "are you sure you want to quit" even if it is a half hour later.

So! The Video for gifts 🎁, still isn?t working correctly. Yesterday, I watched one and got gift, but then I three times I got the, Video didn?t finish, do you want to watch another. Then once more and got 🎁. Today...Nope! Not working at all! I don?t know if it has anything to do with the IOS update, but the Video first thing for getting coins as a reward for playing, isn?t working either. Also when sending gifts 🎁 to your neighbors, it takes FOREVER to load! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

After things working for a while now its the adverts for Homescapes!! Over and over no other ads allear at all, and they always “ fail to finish” :(

I get the black screen a lot. It most cases you can't even tell the content of the video.

I am playing this game for years now (on different iPhones always with their latest iOS).

These video-did-not-finish-messages (although the advert clearly ended and showed the little x to close it!) occurred from the beginning - no matter which kind of video or who the advertisers are.

To me it is just a trick to earn more money for S8: the more ads they show the more income they generate.
I sometimes have to watch 6, 7 or even 8 adverts to get my 3 measly daily gifts:
90 percent of the time it is 1000 coins, 8 percent it is a beam or block, 2 percent it is 1 energy - and once (!) I received a pig :O and twice (!) a lemon tree.

I only watch the ads because I want to get rid of their reminders.
And when I say watch: I start the video and then do something else while they are showing - you could go to the loo, get something to drink or even just pick your nose ;)

I have been getting the "video did not finish" message and no reward given, for months on the same 2 videos in both my kingdoms even though they did finish with X displayed.

They are: MyCafe Recipes & Stories and Slotomania Vegas Cadino Slots.

S8 can you please fix or delete them, obviously they are not programmed correctly. Thanks.

Same thing happening to me....always the same videos that say they don’t finish in different games that I play. Very frustrating as it’s a real time-waster! Sometimes I end the video early and the next one that comes up is different and I get a gift (but not often).
