Not sure if it is my lucky day in the game or extremely unlucky...

I made rookie mistake in Warriors Weekday - and collected from 44 daily alicorns - after unlimited energy ran out - ALL of this was for nothing. Just had max 40 energy - but energy from collecting from 44 daily alicorns was gone.

On bright side of miracle - my flygers and direwolves have been very kind today and dropped FOUR expansion permits.

The white feather is a random, but fairly good, drop from the swans which are available in the market under Nature/Animals. White swan is 20,000 and Black Swan is 40 gems. If you have the Turkey or Raven from previous events, they are a guaranteed drop.

Just a reminder, if you upgrade the snow mound, the timer resets to the 8 hours.

When you're in the inventory guide, press Ctrl F and use the search function within search engine. If you're on a device, you type the name of the item you want in the search bar, wait and then in the suggestions that come up, the last one will always say "ON THIS PAGE (X MATCHES) and then you click on the words Find x and all of the results come up 1 by 1 with an arrow button at the bottom of your screen to go to the next entry.

Yes, you still absolutely get a trade ticket - you get one with any trade. The text said coin and trade ticket, so it was about clarifying how many coins. Hope that helps!

Nope, I can assure you the level typo was all me and from my own previous entry. lol I don't tend to use other players posts to write up goals as in the past I've ended up in a bit of a muddle. I'll copy a quote to paste it, but when I get to the goal myself, will retype everthing with all the info you usually see. I use my own screenshots the majority of the time :)

Changing the topic slightly, did you see how we are only getting 5xp now for each goal? Minks are cute as is Harvey.

I'll add some more info about where to find the materials we're using for the blocks and beams to page 1 as well as I'm sure that would be helpful. Happy Gaming!

That was quite the fake to think we could successfully craft a 2nd Harvey and then be forced to sell it at collection time.

BTW the grown Harvey has a 30 min timer. In addition to mink lint, fish and bones, he drops silver. The mink lint is not a guaranteed drop.

I think you need 40 of each winter block and beam (1+2+3+5+7+10+12).
I don't know about yarn, because I am not yet up to the blankets, but I suspect they may need yarn.

The bird stole nearly all my coal just before the event started.
Been maxed on coal for months. Figures that it would ask for it today. :mad:

Chopping the red acer trees replaces the wood, some living wood as well as dropping the icy paste. And chopping the rock outcropping replaces the stone and some coal along with an occasional gold nugget. Like everything else, we need lots of energy.

Well currently wood is no issue, with the forest of dead trees we need to chop to get the apes. I still had to take out my living trees out of very deep storage. As for stones with 4 mines I just need a small complement from time to time with a rock.

Yes you can have TWO Harvey?s. For goal 9 you?ll need to put Harvey in the forge to dress him up. At that point you can collect the second baby Harvey and grow him to get dressed up as well.

Don’t forget to make two sweaters in step 8 cos you can’t make more. If you want a souvenir then make 3 ;)

I missed the comment about clearing dead trees. Wondered how to spawn the snow ape but figured I’d find out with the next step.

Hi Shibuya, don?t forget Mountain of the Wilds (Sabina?s storyline). It drops up to 9 stones every 4 hours (I think)

Oh and armored wyvern too.

It’s the same number of coins and the same 8 hours to do the new quest as the one with Naga items. The amount of mink lint with the randomness of the drops makes me think I won’t be able to do that particular trade until this event is long finished.

I didn't want to block my forge for 2 days (time estimation to get to that part), so sold my second baby. Well, nice try.

I seem to be having a hard time staying motivated for this event... I think I've collected maybe twice from the baby minks for the growing process. My give-a-dam is a bit broken and I am trying to fix it, do we know if the nuggets are going to be regular drops? That would help.

And if the fairy is going to be named Effie she should at least look Greek... what's with this pale, blonde and blue-eyed business?

Yes.. I'm not so enthusiastic either with this new trade.. assuming at the moment it's permanent and even if it gives a good amount of coins.. we'll have to keep a numerous amount of Minks clustered on the board permenantly with the poor drop rates they give. 8 hours I consider a long time for *1* ticket.. which is what the majority of players are looking for. We need shorter 2hr trades to help with the Permit crafting.
I see as directed towards high-level players with lots of secondary energy who're building up their coin supplies as a night trade to do the exclusive expensive expansions.

I've been collecting the fairies from Town Store, but the Water Fairy is too alien-like. Not sure.

My Mink has pink / red eyes. It's really cute though

Also the fish from the otters will help with the trade. I think it's called the Meat Trade. It takes 2 hours. And I had to fight the Ape 4 times to get 2 furs and 1 token.
I'm doing this event a little more casually, can't seem to get focused on it, but still a lot of time left.
And why do we use coal to make yarn? Go figure!

I don’t like popping your bubble, but Harvey has RED eyes, which indicates that he is an albino. A genetic condition that means there is no melanin present, hence the white fur and with no pigment in the eyes, they are colored by the blood vessels.

The Winter Mink ( 40 gems) does have drops as listed by its picture on page one. The timer is 90 minutes like the other grown minks. I will have to watch if it drops lint every time. It dies drop more often The the brown minks. No, you can't dress the winter minks.

Yes it is 15 minutes of energy. I often collect from things I normally don’t collect from. This time I used the energy for spawning enough Apes to craft one. It’s probably wasteful using for harvesting crops and fighting monsters because you get energy that goes to waste but that’s usually what I end up doing.

In my realm, I would think one per tree was lucky! Thankfully I have hundreds of the Old Logs in storage and they're proving to be much better at spawning the apes. Naturally, the spawn rates differ from realm to realm so maybe play around with a mix of both Old Logs and Dead Trees to find out what works best for your realm.

They have a 1 hour timer and mine has only given me 300 coins and black flags for red petals. I'll still craft a partner for the first though they might get stored.

I also collect faeries. I have them all now and they all fly around my kingdom. I agree that the water faerie looks weird, almost ugly. But she?s growing on me the more I look at her :)

I wonder why nobody is talking about the earth faerie. I?m glad I got her. I was holding out on her cos I thought she looked plain and didn?t like her. But she?s much cuter looking once she flies around, she might even be my favorite of all the faeries right now.

WHY allow to craft 2 Harveys if we cannot place the second one on board? Why not remove or disable the craft in the second forge if one is in process of crafting? This is all so not thought through! Quite disappointing! Storm8, you should all people who crafted the second one to have it!
We can "place" 2 Harveys. Leave him in the Forge and don't sell him!
Following the instructions of Melany77's post #113 at goal 9 you can dress and place the 2nd one after completing the first. Prepare 2 sweaters for this step instead of only one. Crafts needed are available.

Somehow I do think that s8 thought this out as I found a set of buttons for the sweater in my inventory that I don't remember preparing. I had to prepare only 1 set! This is creepy.. lol!

I am trying to decide whether to buy a winter mink. Normally I don't buy event animals for gems, especially if they are only useful for the event but

In your greenhouse you can make Floral Glow and Vital Extract out of extra items that you get while collecting. Then when you need extra energy, you can make the Faerie Elixir in 2 minutes and it gives you 20 energy. I am maxed at 99 each of the Floral Glow and Vital Extract-I just craft them whenever I get the materials so that they do not go to waste. It takes a lot of energy for this event, so I just wanted to remind everyone of this valuable resource. :) It took me a long time to get the 15 coins needed to craft the Snow Ape so just keep plugging along :)

Ha ha-I thought about that also but the answer is no. :) I have the Ice Castle out all the time because I have an "Ice Village" in my kingdom and it also gives a little over 2000 coins, which helps since all these new expansions are so expensive.

I am getting a lightly better drop from the bushes, looks like the energy requirements might go down a little. Still this event is very expensive for level 9 & 10. Took me 27 hours for the first 7 levels, 24 for level 8. I will need 36 hours for level 9. Level 10 might be similar.

Come think of it, I have 2 dressed up Harvey by pure accident. When I couldn?t place the second baby Harvey I just left him in the forge hoping for S8?s change of heart or maybe some miracle. The only reason had 2 sweaters was because I crafted 2 by mistake because I tend to craft 2 same things so the timers match. Then when I put the first Harvey in to dress up, I realize I could place the baby. Hurrah. But I didn?t want to grow him up, fearing that doing so would force me to sell the first, already dressed up, Harvey. After I collected the first Harvey safely, I proceeded to grow the baby and realized the booties craft as well as the dressing up craft were still available. Voila.

I've noticed the Mines are dropping them.. check there regularly.. as Coal drops there too.

I saw that. One of the quests kinda wiped me out, so I'm trying to regularly hit up my mines for coal and hopes for a few more crucial nuggets.

I'm tackling each level as it comes and also haven't really gone out of my way for additional resources. Got rid of about 5 rock outcroppings littering my board which was good. Haven't any trees left after the last round of tree carnage and it's only now when I'm on the verge of completing level 9 I've practically run out of wood. Overall I've liked this event. It will be nice to be done in another day so I can keep catching up on others things here.

Worth repeating that baby flygers are a terrific source of coal as they drop multiple coal from each baby.

And yes, as Moon mentioned, make sure you have 5 golden nuggets for the final goal. I'll add the sources of them to post 3 as well shortly.

I only have 5 daily energy droppers and 1 weekly alicorn as well as 2 wizard schools. I did manage to get the MRC in the last monster hunt. Haven't crafted any energy animals yet (only have 14 troll tokens), so that will be the next monster hunt goal for me. I honestly don't know how I managed to complete some of the past events considering how energy intensive they are.

I have become addicted to this game but it may cost me my sanity at some point, lol!!

I've seen a note I made about this item which may help others: it's as much as the dead tree but with living wood that makes it a good buy.

I have my second set of booties and sweater, but when I put naked Harvey in storage it doesnt show he is in there so I can not dress him. I even tried putting both him and Harvey who is dressed into storage but nope. So I guess I just have a set of boots and sweater I can never put on my cold little undressed Harvey :(
They should have it set up as in past events that the ability to craft more than one thing is disabled if you will not be able to actually place or use it!
Storm 8!!.... let me dress my second Harvey you allowed me to craft!!
Edited to add: I just realised I have not petted him to make him grow up! I Will do this and try again!
Ok I grew him and now I can dress him but don’t know if I want to! Lol

I didn't have any problems crafting, dressing nor placing both Harveys. They're together now placed in the kingdom. The only thing to be careful of is the extremely high consume of energy. Crafting one is high, but crafting 2 is extreme. You're bound to completely finish wool and coal. I have out 14 (I think) baby flygers for coal supplies but had to chop about 8 outcropping rocks for more supplies in this phase.
There was also at one point when 2nd baby Harvey was placed in the kingdom to grow.. that my game degraded to rubbles both baby and Forge where I was dressing the 1st Harvey.
As seeing this did think I was going to loose both, so used gems to grow 2nd Harvey, place in 2nd Forge then speed Forges to finish them both.. that was about 10 gems, maybe less as few were required. Maybe it wasn't necessary but also.. I was in a hurry!

Yes.. I agree. One dressed and the other natural would be so cute and to tell the truth look more like a couple.. the male dressed & female showing off her natural White Mink Coat. Both dressed look more like twin brothers that momma dressed identical.

As Shibuya said.. it's not possible to leave undressed the 1st Harvey, otherwise the goal doesn't tick off and you can't move ahead... but if you're able to craft the 2nd one, you don't have to dress him as obviously the 1st ticks off the goal. There's then the choice of buying the gem one which is undressed.

The Icy Paste from the bushes is the energy sucker in this event! It has a wicked drop rate! I've added something like 60 bushes to keep the both WorkShops in continuous craft for a 2hr check-in play. I barely have enough!
There's lots of time left.. but if bushes are not checked 2 or 3 times each check-in visit.. it's difficult to collect the amount what's needed.

First of all, a big Thank You for all the math in your chart(s). I’m usually a collector but the yarn needed for an extra set of booties is daunting and doesn’t seem to be accounted for in your figures. While souvenirs do clog up the inventory, I find it fun to look back at the wonderful artwork of all the items from past events. But sometimes the cost is too much. A lot depends on coal collection. Six extra yarn for the booties is 60 coal. Right now I have 8.

Same with me 10 minutes ago. Expansion permit hoorahh...errrr grrrr glitch no permit. Permits are rare for me but glitches crashes kick outs are pretty plentifull nowadays.

Someone else said it took them over 7 collections - so I guess it is normal. Some are lucky and get one immediately - mine dropped two in a row ( one immediately and another one while I was crafting a key) - so appears to be just your luck.

If you like sweet things yes: What you CAN make there - flour, sugar, Bread,Ice Cream, Chocolate, Syrup, Royal Sundae; Sweet Feast; Cake, Baked Butterfish; Teacake; Orange Cobbler ,Apple pie
I'm mostly using mine to craft parts for sweet feast - or use it for crafting sweet feasts - since I don't want to occupy kitchen for 6 hours. Basically those are kitchen crafts you CAN do there - takes same time and everything. Only downside- you ran out of materials faster with that many crafting buildings. But if you cook a lot - it is worth having.

If you like sweet things yes: What you CAN make there - flour, sugar, Bread,Ice Cream, Chocolate, Syrup, Royal Sundae; Sweet Feast; Cake, Baked Butterfish; Teacake; Orange Cobbler ,Apple pie
I'm mostly using mine to craft parts for sweet feast - or use it for crafting sweet feasts - since I don't want to occupy kitchen for 6 hours. Basically those are kitchen crafts you CAN do there - takes same time and everything. Only downside- you ran out of materials faster with that many crafting buildings. But if you cook a lot - it is worth having.

Definitely keep my 2 kitchens busy crafting, thanks for the advice!

On a side note, anyone have the Winter Bakery and is it worth it? Its on sale now.

Definitely! We're allowed 2, at least we were allowed when it came out in the Event. We won one during the event and the other we could buy end event. I use both mine daily crafting the sweet menus, while the Kitchen crafts the salty meals.

Have fought FOUR SNOW APES and gotten ZERO monster tokens for trade wagon.

Yes.. all calculated I guess. Tokens drop about every 5th Ape battled, at least in my kingdom this is the pattern

I collected 3 times from Spooky Tree and zero Living Wood. I think they want us to spend the gems and buy the blocks and beams. Getting fed up with the last remaining Storm 8 game I play. I stopped playing the others because of the impossibility of finishing goals without spending and the annoyingly CONSTANT advertisements to play other games that this one now has. Every time I open the game it says it can?t load and the ad pops up and I have to close the ad to get to the game. Every single time I buy the energy pack immediately after it says I got the items it goes to the Baron talking that I have to click cancel to stop.
I have chopped 4 trees with zero living wood. They are making it extremely difficult and expensive to finish. I am getting very close to stopping all together

I was not playing CS yet when winter bakery can be won at event. But i bought one at the last sale and now it did not appear in the sale items in my kingdom. So only 1 purchase allowed?

Exact same problem. Even other things that drop coal are being stingy. I don’t have all this energy to waste chopping rocks. Impossible to believe that drop rates are not tampered with on purpose

I really wish they would stop describing the drops this way.. just say what it drops. It makes it easier when playing events and you need to put a million things out for collections of things you don?t normally need.
Am I the only one that this drives crazy?! .... pet it and see what it found you... drives me..
