Assumptions:
Ginger Mix: 1 (Gingerbloom (2x with Elvenboost))
Snowball: 3 (Drop per tree +3)
Gingerman Buttons: 10 (Gingerbread Man (Spawn 4; defeat 6))
Snowman Cookie: 1 (Crafted in Kitchen)
Steed Feed: 1 (Crafted in Workshop)
Gummy Drops: 1 (Drop from Gingerbread Steed)
Knight Cookie: 1 (Crafted in Kitchen)
Energy per Day: 320 (Gingerman Stack (Spawn 5; defeat 12))

The Gingerbread Man is by far the most energy consuming element of the event. My energy consumption is so far enormous for the sword. Stacked with the snowman cookies you end up with a very heavy butcher bill. To make it in time for the end of the event, you need to invest over 300 energy a day.

Do you mean a boost?
I also see there's a gingerbread man in the Forge.....wth...shouldn't he be made in the kitchen?🤣

Also...watchtowers, spires & lanterns really should be *built* in the workshop!
The Baron just said the ginger blooms make great *building* materials so that tells me workshop -- not Forge!!!

okkkkaaaaayyyyyyy....so I can see already that this will be an energy hog. I'm thinking of bowing out. Just reaped three ginger plots and got 4 ginger mix. Was hoping we would get multiple mixes with each reap. I know I won't have the time(or the energy) for this one at all. And yes...for those who can, get that harvest boost going.

Well, so far my game has crashed and reset 8 times after I've harvested crops in order to plant the ginger blooms. I'm so fed up of the constant resets (usually after I've just had a drop of something useful) that I'm not even sure I can stomach starting this event.

Elsa, can you please have them investigate the constant resets as well? I have chopped the same 4 trees at least 5 times trying to collect enough snowballs to craft a watchtower. I finish the task, see the knight on a horse and my snowballs are gone along with some of the trees and energy. Some are back, but not all, and the rest are gone along with the snowballs. I had the same issue before crafting the spire.

Force closing after each tree and before I started the craft (for the 4th time!) is how I finally got through that. But having to force close the app every ten clicks, and even then still getting some resets, has already turned me off this event.

For the record, I am playing on iOS, on a relatively new device (less than a year old) and I have the latest update of Castle Story. My WiFi connection is great (I’m not getting bumped off the internet on here or any other app.) And the cache and history have recently been cleared.

It’s been happening for months now, but this is the first time it is literally every few seconds.

Makes one hesitant to purchase the value pack with 15 minutes of unlimited energy. You'd lose so much time with all of the resets. I hope this gets fixed.

After complaining, I went back and managed to finally get the needed snowballs. Again (I lost count of how many times I got to 40 before it finally let me stay there.) And this time I was able to start the craft without another reset. We’ll see what happens in 30 minutes when I try to complete the next task.

Thankfully, I don’t have the max amount of buildings yet. But since we keep getting events like this, eventually we will all be maxed with all these special buildings. The ones with skins shouldn’t count against us, especially since we need multiples of most buildings just to complete events.

Are you speeding up the collection time? I have found that if you speed up the collection during the unlimited energy and during special collection items for events it will reset every time and yes, you lose your items and seldom gives back the energy although every once in a while I’ll Get the energy back. So, I have stopped speeding up the collecting during events and it doesn’t reset, at least for me.

I begrudgingly understand s8 putting a cap on event items; but what I cannot understand is when that cap is an ODD number. Drives. Me. Crazy.

I love the look of the Gingerbread items but I can already tell you that I wish they would've included skins for ALL the main buildings. It's always the same few buildings that get decorated at any holiday but I hardly want my realm filled with only those few buildings, now do I?! Who wants a realm of only farmhouses, cottages and spires/towers? I wish they would expand on the Builder's Guild and offer seasonal skins for all the main buildings like our Keeps, OT's, Sabrina's and Ivy's that way our entire realm could look festive.

Yes, the ginger mix is needed later on.

Didn't write down the earlier steps:

Goal 9?
Gather ginger mix
Bake Snowman cookies
Make sugar
Build a Gingerbread Farmhouse - 95 ginger mix, 12 snowman cookies, 10 sugar -45 minutes in magic forge.

Goal 10
Make Steed Feed - 24 ginger mix, 3 sugar cane, 1 carrot - 1 hour in workshop

Goal 11
Make Steed Feed (counted from previous goal)
Summon the Gingerbread Steed - 1 Feed, 1 simple feast, 1 sword -2 hours in the keep.
Gather Gummy Drops - pet the gingerbread steed

If your keep is tied up, just continue making snowman cookies, you'll need 14 of them for the gingerbread cottage.

It says 50 is the limit for Royal Buildings.. how come I read I have 51? Not that it's a problem.. but it has been like that before-event too. There's a Royal Building in my inventory that counts as an extra.. or doesn't have a limit? Anyone else with a max of 51?

The limit is what you own.. placed + stored. You can tap the star where your level appears in the top lefthand corner of your screen.. they're all counted there.

I've noticed this morning, compared to last night, my total Royal buildings have changed.. I how have 49, instead of the 51 I had before. Limits as Elsa posted have been changed, so a fix came in.. but I haven't figured out which ones yet.

Last night I sold 2 normal Spires in order to place the Gingerbread Spires.. and was at 51... but this morning I didn't have to sell anything in order to place the GB Watchtower and I'm now at 49 placing the new Watchtower.

Magic! It's all clear now :D So maybe I'll go for another Gingerbread Watchtower!

I think you have the storybook events in mind? Nope, this is not one of these. The storybooks have individual chapters which unlock every 24h. Each chapter has a list of goals. If you finish up within the given time, you are good, and have to simply wait for next one to open. If you are held up, you are good as well, as long as you manage to catch up at some point. In the end, the timer runs down and you will only win the prizes if all goals of all chapters are met.

At the moment I average a little over 3 cookies per tree. So you seems to have a slight better drop rate. I need 4 tree per cookie and then if lucky I have 1 or 2 snowball left.

And the timing on things again is bizarre.....two hours to bake a cookie but a building goes up in half an hour? Good thing we have two weeks considering the number of cookies to be baked!

It?s very bizarre timing. 2 hours for a cookie is a lot of time to tie up the kitchens, considering we?ll all be needing to make sugar at some point too. This event is already un-fun... time consuming... energy drainer... chop chop chop... plant and collect...YAWN.
On the bright side at least we don?t have to grow the snowy pines

The majority of players don't have stored energy. If goals are as usual.. it should take us approximately 3,000 energy to finish the event. Let's see what Shibuya's predictions are when she posts the usual table. Surely.. we'll spend more if we make 2/3/4 of each, instead of 1 of a kind. It's up to the player. The goal ticks off when making 1 of each however.

WOW... this event is going to use ALOT of energy! Just for the snowballs alone ( need 20 for each cookie), need a billion cookies ( exaggeration but we do need ALOT of them) throughout the crafting Gingerbread things.
I put out 10 snowy pines and got 38 snowballs for 100 ENERGY..... seems a bit steep to me.

Placing a Gingerbread Man before chopping pine trees helps alot.
Chopping 10 trees I got 88 snowballs.. that's 7 cookies and a couple snowballs left over.

Just noticed that the harvest champion boost transfers to the farmhouses. The toadstool farmhouse doesn?t get it, the dainty does. As well as cottages. Including the toadstool cottage. And then also Old Thomas?s house. Is this new or just new to me?

Wow! The building requirements are pretty steep! 12 cookies for a farmhouse & 14 for a cottage? I am spawning gingerbread men okay, but the snowball drop rate is poor. I am also spawning my gingerbread man before chopping the snowy pines (very pretty imo) because the fangbeasts are thick. And this event is going to be an energy drainer for sure. Thank goodness my weekly alicorns had time to reset after the last event. But I am going through them pretty quickly.

On a bright note, I finally got an expansion permit from my white flyger! I collect on him all of the time & this is my first one! I also had one drop from my bat (from the Halloween event). Three down, 5 to go for my next expansion :o

I just saw in the featured section of the market that we could buy additional gingerbread items with gems, once the goal is met. If I end up wanting more of any item/building, I may just go that route. The energy & resources required to build from scratch are pretty high.

My estimate is that each snowman ⛄️ takes about 75 energy:
40 energy for 12 snowballs - each pine tree (10 hits) yields about 3 snowballs
27 energy for 2 buttons
8 energy for 10 glimmerdust (troves)

I did not mean that it increases the drops per se, but that if you were already getting corn or tomatoes for instance, that maybe they would be doubled, like for the flower petals or pollen.

So without even accounting the sugar aspect... making just the gingerbread farmhouse will take roughly 900 energy...
I think the amount of snowballs dropping from the snowy pines needs to be re-visited by S8!

Very early numbers as I am missing the Gingerbread Man 3rd item needs:

Item Ginger Mix Snowball Gingerman Buttons Snowman Cookie Steed Feed Gummy Drops Ginger Man Energy Day Delivery Day
Gingerbread Lantern 80 80 0,32 1
Gingerbread Spire 85 35 190 0,76 2

Collector 609 616 96 45 2 21 2 3 487 13,95 15

Assumptions:
Ginger Mix: 1 (Gingerbloom (2x with Elvenboost))
Snowball: 3 (Drop per tree +3)
Gingerman Buttons: 10 (Gingerbread Man (Spawn 4; defeat 6))
Snowman Cookie: 1 (Crafted in Kitchen)
Steed Feed: 1 (Crafted in Workshop)
Gummy Drops: 1 (Drop from Gingerbread Steed)
Ginger Man: 1 (Crafted in Kitchen)
Energy per Day: 250 (Fully used for the event)

Please bear in mind that the requirements will go up as soon as we know what it takes for goal #15!

This event is energy hungry, but by far not as crazy as some past events. The energy hog will be without doubt be the snowballs!!!

PS: Common materials are discounted from this table, but you should always stack some: Glimmerdust, Wood, Stone, Sugar, Sugar Cane, etc.

Thanks for the table. I always find it really helpful to know if I am on track.
I kind of dropped the ball with my glimmerdust. I always seem to be full, so I hadn't even noticed that it was an ingredient.
I made a bunch of cookies yesterday, then this morning I thought I would put on a kitchen boost and finish off the last few. Had plenty of buttons and snowballs, but I was out of GD!!
I have 15 troves in inventory, and now they will take 4 hours by which time my kitchen boost will be gone.
I harvested enough mushrooms to get the GD to start two cookies, but I am really kicking myself.

Thank you Shibuya.. from the assumption table we see high energy consume! Considering we may want to make more items of each as we're allowed to, so will be more. For lower levels I would suggest to make only one for the time being, the craft still remains so you can decide after what to do. They're also for gem sales for who wishes too.

I'd suggest too.. to keep some plots free for harvesting sugar cane.. or.. don't use boosters like crazy on the ginger. Go slower as all plots harvested with ginger soon gives you the max200 and while you're baking the cookies to craft the Farmhouse (which takes time) you'll be idle.
Here the Cooking Camp and Winter Bakeries are precious for higher levels.. as you can keep up your Sugar supply while baking Cookies. Ready made Sugar supplies are not guranteed drops, so may waste energy looking for it. The Armored Dark Unicorns from the MCR are dropping at the moment.

For Glimmer Dust.. luckily I got them out y'day when SW posted.. all 16 I've collected from already.

Barrister's Bakery is dropping both Sugar and Sugarcane. 2 of each last collection.

Frustration to the nth degree. Most of us would be tearing our hair out. Something is definitely wrong and it may not be entirely the game. I play off and on at all hours and experience a brief “hiccough” reset maybe once or twice a day at most. I’m not a programmer or a techie but long time working with computers suggests a few possibilities. This game uses a lot of memory. Is your device within 10% of maximum use? Have you cleared your cache. Sometimes apps/programs develop errors, have you deleted and reinstalled Castle Story? Have you tried putting your walkers away? Just a few suggestions. Would need a UK and US English Professor's opinion here. A simple little word with so many meanings.

I thought the 'Keep' was a partof a 'Castle'. The strongest part where it's most protected.

But... I had a UK English preparation, maybe it's different in US English... or maybe I've lost track. Only after living abroad I found out not only many words were differently written, but some word-meanings changed too! It's however quicker to pronounce Keep than Castle for EU's.. as the 'tle', like the 'th'... ties up their tongue and pronounced differently.

Queen's Court? ...another argument. What if a King lives with her too? Too cute!

It's great to have an International Forum with Worldwide opinions!
...and oopps... off-topic BUT Cookies are baking, baking and baking.. too many of them! Will this GB collection be recognized after? I think I saw this question posted.. but no answer yet.

I think you can make it if you wish the Steed. After the 12 cookies for the Farmhouse the Steed goal* starts. There's still lots of time before the event finishes.. I'm sure you can reach the Steed.
After there's the Cottage/14 cookies and last is the GBmen which is 18cookies. Now that will take awhile! and very very high energy consumption :(

It's not only the drops that count in your realm.. it's also the milestones you collect along the way. Even if you don't reach the double Gingerbread Men that drops: Permits, Tickets and Spellbound Dew.. you were there with your Steed when you look back.

End Prize seems a Gingerbread Man walker.. as both Gingerbread Men are different.

Usually every Friday night, approximately 10pm for me.. we receive many roll-backs in the game, even though they are annoying if you're playing at that moment, are all uploads or fixes for the weekend.
After your first complaint posted I noticed we received the new page of Baron's Tent prizes, new Value Pack, Diamond Fairy offered and also a Gem Sale.
Maybe you were playing just at that moment? I received the roll-backs too, but smiled as knew "S8 was communicating". Seems creepy.. but everytime we have a series of roll-backs and becomes unstable.. check your game for novelties.

Ok.. thank you. 5 are the max cap and best to have all. They're not as difficult as the infinate number of Cookies! It's public holiday here and ALL day I've been baking.. I'm burnt now and there're still not enough.. phew!

Are we limited to making only one gingerbread man?

My first post - bought the energy pack today as I might do on a weekend. DISGUSTED that snowballs have a cap. It feels sneaky, after so many events this past year have had no limits, due to the huge number of the resource that is required. Also, the high demands of this event take the fun out of it.

I’m on the gingerbread farmhouse goal. Making cookies that require tons of energy for a much smaller building vs the whole entire watchtower that was much easier to build... I am averaging 3 snowballs per pine (every great once in a while 4). My gingerbread man spawns by every 7th farmhouse. Trying not to get discouraged by the monotonous chopping and gobs of energy for 12 cookies.

I'm going to take a risk and just make two steeds. Too many resources needed for the cookies and such. And it's going to take a long time just to get all those cookies made, so hopefully will have time to gather gumdrops needed.
I also have been wondering about that energy pack, especially with the caps on GB blooms and now hearing that there is a cap on snowballs. Thanks for posting(warning).
I'm assuming the cap on snowballs is 200? GB blooms are capped at 200.
Not GB blooms but the Ginger Mix.

Snowballs are capped to 99. So the infinite energy boost is more or less useless for this event. You can use it for something else; a WW every 2 weeks is enough for me to restock what I need. If the raw materials where capped to 999 as in some other events, then this infinite boost would be gold.

The cap of 99 snowballs are too little with all the cookies to bake. It takes 12 snowballs to make 1 cookie. We have... 12 cookies for a farmhouse, 14 for a cottage, 18 for a Gingerbread Man. Luckily non for the Horses. That's 144 + 156 + 216 = 516 snowballs. And what if we want to make 2 of some of the items? The Snowball cap of 99 is really not enough.
I do believe s8 forgot to raise this cap to 999 as they usually do in these type of goals.

See the math on page 1. You need even more snowballs, thus if you are affiliated to Greenpeace, better stop playing this event. With my current drop rate I will have to cut >200 trees!!!! Or 2000 energy, good for global warming

If you get 2 steeds then you?ll get 3gummy drops per day (with 50% chance, 3 collections per day). So it?ll take you one whole week to collect the needed 20 gummy drops. I?m not sure if gummy drops are needed in the next step but if they?re, the sooner you have the steeds the better shape you?ll be. The steeds are cheap to make and if you use a harvest boost they?re practically free. Plus I seem to get a sugar every single time so far so i really like them. I?ll get maybe a dozen of them if not for the limit :tickled_pink:

Can someone please explain - is the last craft a walker? I saw mention of a Gingerbread with drops. Was that real or kidding? I always start events and play until finished or it is clear that I don't want the prize enough for the work. So I am still going, but would not finish for another walker ☺️. I fell for the Armored Shadow Wolf in the last hunt, and saw everyone's informative posts later. I haven't had a single drop that was listed when I made it. So if there is a final prize with drops, how can I be smarter about what a prize really is and not get fooled again?

I see we can't sell these Gingerbread Spires and Towers.. we can only store them.
But what if in a future date we need to sell these Gingerbread Royal Buildings to build others (as happens often)...
Will we be able to do so?

I am maxed on both Royal and town buildings and was able to make all 5 spires and towers. So it seems as if they do not count towards the 50 limit at the moment. However, if they end up counting at some time and we can?t sell them, it would be a major problem. S8 really should address this issue.

While I'm by no means struggling for energy, I still find this event to be a bit too demanding. I'm currently working on cookies for my Gingerbread Cottage but I'm really wondering if I should craft more farmhouses/cottages or just buy them outright. I had no qualms in crafting all the towers and spires but the requirements needed for the town buildings is more than slightly ridiculous.

If I'm understanding things correctly, it looks as though there are two different Gingerbread Men. One seems to be a walker and one a 'pet', one is awarded for completing all of the goals and the other is crafted in the Magic Forge. I'm only goal 12 right now so I can't say for certain, keep checking back in the forum and I'm sure we'll see definitive answers as soon as someone finishes all the goals.

While the requirements are quite monotonous and time consuming, we have a lot of time. I think that it?s probably possible to get all of the farmhouses and cottages without buying them. I personally don?t want to spend 880 gems to buy them. I?ll just get as many as I can the boring way

I'm in agreement but I think my first post was poorly written. I have zero doubts that I'll have enough time and energy to craft them all, my struggle is whether or not I think the long term value of the buildings is at least equal to the energy I'll expend crafting them. Since this event started, I've used about 7k of my energy reserves which is causing my concern. Normally, I just go full steam ahead crafting as many items as I want during events but for some reason this one seems more extreme in my realm and it makes me feel like I should fully weigh the pros and cons of purchasing vs. crafting.

I mulled it over these last few hours and I think I've come up with the best way for me to go forward. My current aim is to only craft the items needed to finish the goals at first. Once I've finished the goals, I'll work on crafting the extra buildings but set a daily energy limit for myself. On the next to last day, I'll evaluate how many buildings I've crafted and how many I need to purchase to have the full sets. If I only need to purchase one of each then I'll likely buy them, if I still have to buy several of each I'll have to revisit my energy concerns.

Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and be able to craft the max amounts within my self-imposed limits but I doubt it. I feel better about the event now that I've got a rough idea of my game plan. It makes things feel less daunting and chaotic. The only thing left is for me to sit down and work out exactly what my daily energy limit should be in order to keep my reserves where I want them but still allow me enough to progress at a reasonable pace. (This is where I thank Shibuya profusely for offering us the energy estimates!)

Looking at this screen splash.. we know we're receiving 2 kinds of Gingerbread Men. If you look at the very end of your crafts in the Magic Forge.. you can see, even if still shaded out.. a craft for a double (one sitting on the shoulder of the other) Gingerbread men. This one should be the ticket/permit dropper.

It's then clearly stated on the screen splash the other gb'man is a citizen, thus a walker, which I assume is an end prize. Whether it's assigned as a final prize, or to buy with crowns, we can't know yet. We are however earning crowns during this event.

I'll add picture of the Gingerbread Men screen splash.. however I posted it before.
Whether the ticket/permits are guranteed or random drops.. unfortunalty like all droppers, we learn after we have them. It's a risk we all have to take.. because if it's guranteed.. we bite off our fingers for giving up, instead of sweating for it.

This is a very involving event even for well-equipped kingdoms and also very expensive for those who usually gem ahead.. so reports have been null so far. I did however see a kingdom complete.. I'll leave a post asking info, hoping in a reply.

Craft 5 horses. It will take you a few days to have 20, but then you need to craft 18 cookies for the next stage and 14 for the cottage, so you have plenty of time. Unless you have a field of alis and you do power play, then use gems.

This event takes a lot of energy, but it’s fun to actually play and not just have to wait for ivy’s hut all the time. Wizard school for sure. Get maxed out on those as soon as you can and then start investing in alicorns. Alicorn parts do drop from quests. Not often. But, not wizard portal because that only gives you 4 energy every 5 hours.

Alicorn parts only drop from quests if you have the love shack. And very few players now have that as it was a super early on event. And I agree about actually getting to play again!! I don?t want an energy intensive event every time but it?s nice to finally have one that I want to play again! And I like that we are getting buildings instead of animals. I am a bit disappointed with the limits on snowballs and ginger mix. I think players should be able to stock up weekends and nights so that they can just keep their kitchens cooking during the day.

After making the cottage, the next step is to bake knight cookies in the kitchen. Requirements: 35 gummy drops, 40 gingerbread swords (from fighting gingerman stack from cottages) and 25 milk. The spawn rate form cottage is pretty good and you get 1-3 swords per monster (20 hits). I guess the last goal will use the knight cookies baked in this step with 18 snowmen.

You definitely need all 5 gingerbread steeds.

The gingerbread man we recieve had better drop permit every single collection for all this effort.

And I don?t think I?ll craft extra cottages.

PS: I accidentally sold a cottage and when I tried to buy another one it said max reached. Looks like the new buildings count toward the limit (but they can?t be sold) so this will be really problematic if later on you need to build other buildings for whatever reason. S8 please fix this.

I would go for Wizard school every single time - yes, takes bit to upgrade. But max level wizard school will give you 10 energy every 5 hours. If you have 2 max level Wizard schools you get 20 energy every 5 hours. That way if you collect even 2 times from both in one day - it already gives you SAME amount of energy allicorn gives in 7 days. normal allicorn just drops 40 energy in 7 days.

I love the building design though it?s a shame it?s always the same buildings that get makeovers. For all the energy & time it?s taking to gather or make the massive amount of build items I don?t think custom buildings are too much to ask for. The snowball drops & monster spawn rate are a ****er, not to mention the number of cookies needed. I?d like two of each for balance but I?m not sure I?ll get there & the number of gems required to buy the buildings is way too steep. Where are the matching decorations to buy?

Thank you for posting. The Ginger Knight cookies seem real steep with 35 gummies required. Let's hope the gummy drops from the horses increase. So far I've collected 3 for the whole day and have all 5 horses. I do have another collection before sleep time so hope more should be added. These I'm collecting now are for the cottage. Definitely I'll be building only one, now knowing how many are needed for the Knight cookies.

I fully agree about your expectations of the Gingerbread Man.. this event is a full-time job, using all the hours we have during the day checking continuously and consuming ALL energy available. I'd be really disappointed if permit drops weren't guaranteed... but I'd love the game with my whole heart if they were guaranteed ;)

Good Luck and pass by again.. we're all curious what the future goals are

Yield is even better.. it's 10 energy every 4hrs 20mins.. each at 5th level

They prefer asking you for what you don't have.. or rare drops you can't build up. Blue shells eg. Wheels I have heaps.. they don't want any.
Does black flags convert into coins? I never realized that. Maybe I won't feel so guilty anymore ;)

So not sure where the original quote is for this but I love the idea. I am maxed on wheels, beams and almost glue. Would love a way to get rid of wood for random stuff.

Each item dropped is converted into 15 coins. Well for "wood" I won't care, but I would for an "Earthen Beam" . And yes Elves mostly ask item where you have movement in your inventory, since a few weeks I am focusing on crafting some mermaid stuff, just wounder what elves ask each time, those very mermaid stuff. I use this feature during WW to convert tons of useless raw material into coins.

Now back on topic, I don't feel bad on wasting tons of wood, most events requires tons of stone going to waste, so for a change I am happy. I craft Spellbound Beams in industrial quantities with this event. Now I could start upgrading some buildings past level 5. S8 should alternate wood-stone chopping so we can use the resources in a more balanced namer.

PS: I accidentally sold a cottage and when I tried to buy another one it said max reached. Looks like the new buildings count toward the limit (but they can?t be sold) so this will be really problematic if later on you need to build other buildings for whatever reason. S8 please fix this.

This is going to be a major problem S8 and needs to be addressed now. What is the incentive and purpose for us to craft all gingerbread buildings if we are just going to have to turn around and sell as many other buildings to accommodate them down the road?????

It's in post#144..
great idea.. but I'm afraid for the time being we'll have to be happy being 'black flagged'. Shibuya's post#195 however says not all is dumped and is converted into coins, even if wood gives little.. it's coins anyway.

sorry for my ignorance - what is a black flag??

When we have an excess amount of whatever materials we're collecting in our inventory.. we see on the right hand side of the screen a black banner/flag popping out saying "you can't hold more ...."
In the game we call that a black flag, or say 'black flagged'. Certainly it means you have reached your limit on that particular item.

I have no qualms of just tossing them.

I did make 5 steeds for the gummy drops.

Nevermind I bet some more mix will be needed for the gingerbread man in last goal.

Thank you for your help.

With the amount of gummy drops needed + the long timer + the low random drop rate, we should be allowed to make as many steeds as we want to.

This behavior has been around since years. You can only store the event items just after you bought it. I don't know the exact length of the window, but 5 min is on the safe side. If your game makes a long sync (horse splash) then you might loose the ability as well. Take it as a one off deco.

I got 3/5 again.. good drops compared to others, but we need 20 for cottage and 35 for knight cookie. At this rate of 5 per day it'll take 11 days to gather needed 55. This definitely damages us on making other cottages and a HIGH RISK of not finishing in time.
I'm a fan of doing 2 of each. I'll put in all the time and effort needed.. but realistically this is not possible due to LOW drops.

WE DEFINITELY NEED HIGHER GUMMY DROP RATES!

I would suggest you slowly keep baking the snowman cookies. You don't have to fill up your inventory with buttons. I prepare just before setting off the new cookie craft.
It's only 4 buttons for the 2 cookie crafts: less than 7energy to spawn cookie monster, max 7energy to beat. So max energy needed is approximately 30... for both crafts.
Place enough farmhouses so you can collect all 4 buttons needed at one go. Some cookie monsters drop 2 buttons as well. Then leave a ginger monster spawned so you don't waste anymore energy fighting others.. especially when chopping trees! Some fangbeasts are spawned as well from the farmhouses.. but I've noticed many are null energy to beat, considering what you get back.. and some even return 2energy.

Thank you so much for reposting pic! Now I understand why people were mentioning a prize with drops. Where would we be if it weren't for people forging ahead? This Event is steep and energy consuming, but I'm finding it different and interesting.
I saw the Ginger Stack in nbrs kingdom.. it's a fixed figure with slight animated movements.
So the single Ginger Man we have to craft in the Magic Forge is the walker.

I recently sold a number of my regular cottages & farmhouses to buy fae houses (best coin value) because town buildings are limited to 40. I kept 10 of each for events but that includes all the different types of which there are now six including gingerbread because it?s always the same buildings that are made over but if there not included for future event goals what?s the point participating in events to make them?

My farmhouses at the moment do spawn the Gingerbread Man.. so I assume also the cottage will spawn the Ginger Knight. I put out 12 farmhouses to do the spawning for the button collecting.. and I'll do the same for the Cottages. I'll have to sell some regular farmhouse to do this, but that's what I always do. The Toadstool farmhouses are spawning as well.

Have you built the Spire?
Eventually try deleting the game from your device and reloading it again.

For that goal we have to fight the Ginger Stacks spawned from the Cottages.. receive swords to make the Knight Cookie.. and then receive... a Gingerman Walker? It 'should' be the Gingerman Stack considering the type of materials we have to collect for this craft.

That way the Citizen Gingerbread Man should be released at the end goal as usual. It makes more sense.

You have been chopping too many trees, we all have! But that doesn't mean your logic is faulty; it would make much more sense if we were crafting the Gingerman Stack. Unfortunately if we look at the details of the crafts, this event sort of falls apart. I mean, we're making Snowman Cookies purely out of Snowballs, Buttons and Glimmerdust? I know the dust is magic and all but it doesn't make sense as either an edible cookie or a building part. That is one cookie I don't want anywhere near me!

Finally got enough Gumdrops to craft the Cottage and during that time it took to collect them I crafted all the cookies needed for the next goal and then some. I'm a lover off all creatures but those horses really need to be whipped into shape, the drops are just abysmal. I'm so irritated that I now think I'll just get two of each building and be done with the entire thing. This event started out with real promise but with each goal it goes down in my esteem and I shudder to think what my opinion will be at the end of it all.

--------------
Listen up s8, this is meant to be a Holiday Event! To me, holiday events should be better than regular events, they should be more fun and enjoyable than the regular ones. Holiday events should make us want to sneak away from our loved ones and holiday obligations to log in. We should want to work for prizes that really should be better than average, not just a repeat of things we've done before and recolored buildings we can get anytime. Most importantly, it should be able to be completed in a reasonable manner, with a reasonable amount of time and energy required. Not only is this spoiling Gingerbread for me, it's completely ignoring that most people are busier during the holiday season than at any other time and most have less extra cash to splash out on your game for gems to hurry things along. Is it too much to ask that you take this into consideration and have the events reflect this reality? I so wanted to love this event but unless some changes are made in the drops department I don't think this is one I'll remember fondly, if at all.

Toadstool farmhouse/cottage, gingerbread farmhouse/cottage and gothic cottage all spawned the monster needed.

The gingerman stack drops 1-3 swords each time.

What is the ave spawn rate of the stack from cottages? Does stack spawn from haunted cottage too? Thanks.

You do realize that this is the same kitchen where it takes two hours to make an ice cream sundae..... logic just doesn't apply!

Does anyone know if the snowy pine deluxe will be a decoration after the event ?

I feel bad chopping them since they are so pretty, thanks. :)

This event started out with real promise but with each goal it goes down in my esteem and I shudder to think what my opinion will be at the end of it all... <snip>

If you're able to even think about getting 2 of each buildings.. you're doing great :D
I started out hopefully.. but reasoning won. There's not enough energy to craft 2 of each, so after the first 2.. backed off. I'll see towards the end, but sincerely say.. gummies will be a problem.

I see the Gingerman Stack now.. it should be at the end of the goal I just posted pictures above. It's in the top righthand corner. How/when we get him we'll see.

I'm enjoying the event.. it's very involving even if difficult and different from the usual events.
I'd need another 5 of the horses though!

Hei, can someone please tell me if there?s any reason (other than the crowns for town square) to complete goals 13 to 15? The cottage is on the goal 12 and I really think I would very much rather concentrate on getting some more gingerbread buildings (spires, towers, farmhouses and cottages) than to work so hard on those knight cookies - especially since I?m not really sure what they?re for. What are your plans, are you doing them? If yes, why? Am I missing something? Good luck to everybody :*

As with all events/goals in CS it's totally optional how far you complete them and what you do with your time and energy in your realm. I plan on finishing all the goals because I really want that final goal reward, the Gingerman Stack because it's an Expansion Permit and Trade Ticket dropper which I think is worth the effort despite it being a bit extreme.

My Haunted Cottage has spawned the Stacks but I don't know about the spawn rate, it always seems different for each realm.

Thank you! I didn?t really understand that the stack was the ultimate reward, since it?s not listed as a reward on the main goal table on the first page. Expansion permit droppers are always worth it for me as well. I?ll see if I?ll be able to catch up, since I didn?t start playing the event from its first day and I?ve just crafted my first steed today...

Thanks again for details! :*

Ok feeling REALLY disappointed storm8. 40 sword drops required from enemies that may (or more likely in my case) may not appear from cottages which are only available every 4 hours? I?ve used gems with NO success. Not to mention it takes ALL of 20 energy (nearly zero double hits) to take them down? And after I do they drop one sword. ONE SWORD! I have made multiple purchases on your game. You?ve now made me sorely regret them. Come on. Make this game worth playing. I agree with other loyal players- where is your Christmas spirit? Please do right by your customers.

Stacks drop differing numbers of gingerbread swords. My range has been 1 to 3 so that makes it not so bad.
