Just wanted to say that if the event starts out as tradable, whether intentional or by accident, the event should stay tradable. To pull the event items from the market four hours into the event is not at all ladylike. The event started off 'Tis the Season to be Jolly, four hours later it turned sour real fast. I love this game, honestly I do. But I don't understand the reason behind changing rules of game once game has already started.

Anyway, nothing for me to do now, my passion fruit vines just yielded zero basil, three hrs wait time.

Btw, is the Noodle House a permanent thing? If so are the recipes behind the three yeti food permanent?

Ok, I don't want to sound overly negative since it's only starting of event. For some odd reason, this events reminds me of that other event where we have to collect millions of feather hats. That event with the feather hats we have to GIVE each costumes 3 then 4 then 5 then 6 then ultimately 7. Those feather hats can be sold in market. I remember buying them.
If this event is same format, I doubt I'll finish now the raw event materials can't be sold to help others. I hope fervently this is another type of event.
If it's the same as feather hats, Storm 8 please let us trade event raw materials. Thx

Is the boiler the only way to get boiling water? I purchased the one for coin, and now it says I’ve reached my limit. I harvested it by accident (yeti was to close to the noodle house). The noodle house and boiler appear to be new permanent craft buildings (unsellable and unstorable). I wish they would stop doing that. If we want to remove building or get rid of an animal/animal enclosure, we should be able to. I have craft buildings, like the cotton candy maker, that I don't use and don't like, but I can't get rid of. I don't have the geese because I don't know if I want them, and I know I can't get rid of them. I actually like the noodle shop, but some forewarning would be nice! And why can't we at least store these things? Not being able to store or sell makes decorating a chore.

So I’m trying to be realistic here about how much my kitchen has run since this game has launched. I have had one item drop since last night and it’s been running pretty much nonstop. If the drop rate does not improve I am logging off and that may be the end of Farm Story 2 for me for a very long while. The side goal of Catch A Yeti has a glitch or problem. I fed it 5 fish and it went to 2 of 2 and then back to 1 of 2. Event is already frustrating with low drops and not being able to sell things. Only the bots can buy. Now a glitch... I used to like this game but lately not so much.

I'm getting very little from 1. Planes 2. Kitchen 3. Chicken. Perhaps the super low drop rate is meant for tradable event? For those wanting to store the Noodle Shop and the Boiler...you will most likely be able to store them AFTER the event ends. This has been the case with all of the event-only buildings; if some farms are still displaying those buildings, it may be because the players like how they look and feel those buildings fit in with their design plan.

I think only the first three blue items are event items so I think this is a permanent building and the other recipes are permanent? MeowMeowBeans?

I would like the holiday tree but then again I have so many different Christmas trees, still. LOL! :)

so......as much as i'm trying to stay positive and just keep my head down and try my best to slowly work through the abysmally low chicken drop rate....i can't help but wonder...


as evidenced by numerous previous events and player feedback, it's apparent that different farms have different "low" drop rate items. for me, and many others, chickens are our kryptonite. for others, it may be the kitchen, the mine, etc etc. you get the point.

and let me emphasize again, i don't mind having to work hard to get a super cute pet. and trust me, i should NOT be spending nearly as much time glued to my devices playing. BUT, as BakeryAvenue22nd has pointed out in his/her post, we need 375 drops of parmesan from chickens v.s. only 50-75 of any of the other items. that is 5+ times more than any of the other items...........

while i understand that S8 has their reasons for making items not-tradable (and i truly appreciate them for bringing us all these FREE, fun, super addicting games), it just seems a bit of an uneven playing field when some of us have to work against a 5 times worse odds.......:\

so there you have it. i'll return to my nonstop chicken collecting now....g'luck to everyone who has chosen to stay and enjoy this event. That Snow Yeti is seriously adorable! the team has outdone themselves once again! :)


p.s. maybe a work-around could be to lower the # of parmesan required per craft to similar levels to the other items and still keep the items non-tradable. wishful thinking...i know...:p

I think Storm8 wants 2 force us 2 buy the 10$ item packs. Some of us dont have that ability. I was excited to see a side event to the current Yeti Spaghetti event so with some enthusiasm I started producing the required items. I finished level 3 (of 6) this morning and looked forward to the next only to find I need to produce 12 (yes twelve) orange cotton candies. After my initial shock I?m scratching my head to do the maths for how many white sugars I?ll need. I don?t know how I?ll do this and the other events. I do realise this is only a side event. :confused:

I need 18 each of the spaghetti and lasanga for the last three goals. The ravioli is the only one that I seem to be doing okay on. Sent 15 plane deliveries this morning and not one event item drop. I?ve deleted at least 8 of Storm 8?s games, after repeatedly asking if they couldn?t please put in a ?are you sure? button. I deleted each game the next time I lost my gems over accidentally hitting a wrong button. This is the last game I am playing of theirs & im one more mistake away from deleting it. I?m sick of saving, saving, saving, & have yet to buy something I truly wanted to use the gems on. I wouldn?t pay for another gem again if they put a *** to my back. I went to Send a delivery & hit the send button, but it wasn?t on the right delivery. Miraculously, it cost just what I had in gems to send, if it would have cost more, it wouldn?t have gone. These events where everytime you do ANYTHING, they shove something in your storage, so when I try to get an item that?s finished out appliance it?s in, I can?t, cuz my storage is full again, are another reason I?m ready to put this game in with the other deleted ones. I?m sick of waiting a week or more for 1 paint or 1 map, so it takes a month+ for one barn upgrade or 1 land expansion. Yep, you got it bang on there, I just do what I can, when I can, and super careful to not use gems by accident, I have learnt the hard way, over the last year or so I have noticed it?s gotten worse and worse and events one after the other, while people keep using real money they will continue making it more difficult, I?m on level 6 of the event but am now giving up, you just cannot get enough cheeses from the chickens x

How have you done so well, I am on level 8, made all of the others but not even 1st spaghetti and it wants 6!, drops are rubbish from the chickens compared to the amount needed so no wonder people are complaining and you won?t stop them, I just do what I can and so be it, hope you manage to complete it, good luck, I doubt I will but not really bothered as I haven?t wasted real money on it 😁

Glad to hear you are doing well and so close to the finish line. As for me, not doing well but I’m not ready to give up. I’m still on goal 8 and been there 3 days—still need 2 spaghettis and 2 lasagnas. I’m lucky if I get 1 yellow lasagna sauce to 20 plane deliveries. As far as the spaghetti is concerned I can either get cheese or the blue sauce. I can make all the ravioli I want, but that doesn’t help. As far as my complaining goes.....the 3 minutes it took to respond to your comment didn’t hinder my playing time. It gave me something to do instead of sitting around waiting on my chickens.

Thanks for the giggles....definitely not an event even if you even have half a life and some commitments. I can't seem to collect enough to get past level 7. I keep tickling my chickens but they aren't being very cooperative and as far as my deliveries go guess the plane isn't going to the correct destinations.

I finished all the Lasagna, and all the Ravioli. The sticking point: the Spaghetti. I gave it my best shot, but I won't be able to craft 7 Spaghetti in the last 7 hours of the event, not unless every single chicken (I have 12) drops Parmesan Cheese every single time I collect. Oh, well.

This event started off well enough, but the ending was not so enjoyable. The scramble to collect enough Parmesan Cheese was extraordinarily difficult with drops being appallingly limited. I was only able to finish and win the Yeti by breaking down and purchasing the package...I just needed 5 Spaghetti, so it fit my needs rather well. Still...

I am hoping the Noodle House is used regularly. I have been told privately that another player is already receiving train orders for Noodle House recipes, but I have yet to see any. I am hoping that it does not become another Smoke House in which it's there, but there's no use for it because nothing gets requested for any of the different options (plane, train, truck, balloon).

I like that the Sauce Maker now sees another recipe.

I question the idea of rice noodles being used to make ramen. As far as I know, ramen noodles are often made with just flour, or sometimes flour and egg. I can't recall it being made with rice noodles, but I suppose it is possible.

I would like to get the Pepper and Cheese Ravioli restored. Not sure where it went, but I went to the trouble of crafting all those other goods for the "Prepare Your Ravioli" side-quest, so I would very much like to get that prize back (started a thread in the Bugs & Issues forum, just FYI).

I didn’t like this event at all it was way to difficult to get the cheese from the chickens �� I had to many eggs it wasn’t even funny long with the rest of the ingredients you should let buy the ingredients from the market like it started out to be.. Bad move

I put a ton of effort into this goal but could never get enough cheese from the chickens. Pretty much an impossible event with the limited drop rates. Wasn’t able to finish the extra recipe goal either with having to do 20 deliveries a day plus regular train and truck deliveries. Too much time effort to do all these goals. So far I’m zero for two. Hopefully I can win the seal but it will be tough since I started a day late.

This quest was far from enjoyable. Unreliable and appalling drop rates from the chickens rendered it virtually impossible to make the multiple Yeti Spaghetti recipes involving parmesan cheese that each successive goal required. If Storm8 prevents recipe ingredients from being bought and sold in the newspaper the ingredient quantities should be reduced or drop rates should be increased. There is no progress in having NONE or ONE parmesan cheese drop from 12 chickens when a recipe requires 15 such ingredients for multiple goals in which successively larger amounts of dishes are expected to be created! Despite playing regularly, I did not get beyond goal 7 ... the Yeti Spaghetti recipe being the culprit holding up progress. I was also not prepared to purchase multiple "value packs" in order to complete this quest. Please Storm8, make goals more realistic when trading ingredients is excluded. It would also be appreciated if you would present quests with opt in/opt-out options as forced participation is no fun at all (the only way to avoid forced participation is not to play the game for the duration of quests that one does not wish to participate in). I for one will check quest details very carefully in future (even at the risk of starting a day or two late) and will certainly avoid the frustration of participating in quests where ingredients cannot be purchased in the newspaper. I'm sure I'm not the only player who feels this way as I have seen numerous posts in the past along similar lines. Ignoring players' reasonable feedback is all very well, Storm8, but you run the risk of losing players when frustration levels dominate the gaming experience.

They're not supposed to be NEW PETS FOR EVERYONE! Which would be nice, but ... while I wanted the Yeti, I ... wanted to EARN the Yeti. I didn't want it given to me. I see pets in this game as a bit of, I dunno, status? Kind of? Not the right word. Perhaps achievements is a better word. I spent months wanting a pet very badly, finally purchased my doggie and was elated. Then I EARNED one, and I was over the moon. Now I've got a ton of them and am wishing I could store some (note to the Stormtoopers, make that the next android update you make, let us store pets!). But I love all of them, and while I get so angry when I want one desperately that I can't get (the beaver ... I'm never gonna get over not having achieved my beaver! I bought one with the Thanksgiving sale), I sort of pick my battles. If there's something I want really badly, I'll spend the $5 and get one. I mean, I get a $5 mocha at Starbucks every single day, if I can spend that, I can spend money for a pet in a game. But I'm not gonna do it all the time, I'm gonna do it when I desperately want it. I didn't want the Yeti badly enough to do it, so ... I ended up JUST finishing level 8 with like 8 minutes to spare.

Another observation is that I think it's a little nutty that we keep getting updates with new buildings, etc., but we have this wackdoodle fish, the Bass, that we can do, literally, nothing with. Fill the random order with it, and that's it. It's the only thing we have on the whole farm that is pointless and goes to nothing. Why? Find a recipe for that, peeps.

I love the present stack a day thing, but 20 orders a day is HARD.

The Bass meant to fill up our space barn, imho. So I keep only 1 or 2 bcs farmers often put it on the newspaper.

Another observation is now there are too many buildings and menus sometimes I craft the wrong menu to send my train order, and lost my precious time limit. Also, my farm is getting full with the permanent buildings and pens.

The prize pets meant to be a mark for some farmers. A mark that they have been fighting really hard during the events, working really hard on their farm everyday, no matter what pet they have. There are some low level farmers who win some good pets while we know that the events were crazy and the pets are not on the sale yet. That's my opinion. :D
(The higher the level, the more difficult the challenges).

But for me, I know that I've made it...is those show ponies on my farm. I did not buy them with real money, I collected gems from the train, download the new games, sometimes I'm lucky with the butterfly, and from the pets too.

Just my thoughts, if the 20 deliveries task has time limit for 24 hours, then please don't put two, yes two, menus which need 8 hours long waiting time. Can you imagine you have to wait for 16 hours while your building is full. I discard those requests but they sometimes come back with similar orders, lol.

briefly, like many others, I don't mind spending the time and energy on these events. but asking for 375 items (compared to 50-75 of some other rare drops) while taking away our ability to buy/sell is really unmanageable (just look at the math....-_-). i would be forever grateful, if next time, the number can be slightly reduced so we can maintain the "challenge" but still allow for some achievability....

That's because the Noodle House is a permanent building and it needs boiled water from the Boiler or Chef's Gnome Boiler, means that those Boilers are permanent too. That's why the goal is still there.

To add: simply ignore it and be careful :D

raissawinda is correct. This is a regular game update and the Chef Gnome's Boiler goal is a regular game goal. Like all regular game goals, there's no expiry and they remain in your goal list until completion. See Page 1 of current thread for list of regular and limited time goals of this update.

But the pasta generally seems to be a long term goal?

I've done parts 1-3 and now part 4 requires rice grains from the crop dryer? I'm on level 44 and can't yet grow rice so I'm wondering if I'll be able to get the crop dryer when I can? What level is this at?

I can't see crop dryer in my market though so I'm a bit confused.

You expand to the water garden to get the crop dryer then you put the rice in the crop dryer. You can't grow rice in a plot

Yes some of these goals are regular game goals, mentioned in Page 1 of current thread.

That's absurd? There have been dozens of other timed events where items have become permanent like this, but once the event is over, the "goal" disappears but the item can still be purchased in the market.

So you're telling me that for the first time in the game's history, a timed event's goal to waste gems is going to stay and that I have to ignore it and be careful not to accidentally click on it? Ridiculous! S8, please fix this... Thank you.

This is not the first time we have updates with regular game goals. You could be thinking Chef Gnome Boiler was part of the event. It is not an event goal; it is a regular game goal. I do have some older game goals which are still in my goal list. Regular game goals remain in our goal list until completion, for Farm Story 2 and other Storm8 games. You can see the list of regular game goals in Goal Guide.

You can't buy it, neither can I: it was a special event you had to win the recipe by doing a series of goals.

I did not do the goals so it is level 1000 for me as well.

I'm afraid the game does not allow anyone to buy it, even those who are able to craft it. I've submitted members' feedback to the team. Hopefully the team will give us the option to buy it. For now we can't.

You DO need the boiler. You do NOT need the chef's boiler. An dig you really don't want the boiler at all, there are ALOT of boiled waters for sale in the paper all the time.

I had viewed that thread but still am unsure as to whether I?m missing out on some aspect of the game by not purchasing the 200 gem boiler. I have the other boiler and have been using it and the pasta house for quite some time.

I still have the goal though prompting me to spend 200 gems on another boiler. My question is....by not making that purchase am I preventing other goals from opening or missing out on game features opened by that one purchase. I certainly don?t need more another boiler and definitely not for 200 gems.

I don't think you are missing out on anything.
But I just finished buying my sixth show pony is what I have been working on a long time.
That was my priority.

On the other hand--and for this you may want to ask someone who actually did buy the Chef's Boiler to find out if it does apply--spending the gems here may allow you to collect 2-3 extra points during leaderboard events. It may not seem like a whole lot, but 2-3 extra points every couple of hours does add up.

Though, to be honest, I still have that goal sitting in my queue too. Maybe one day I will clear it...IF I ever manage to save up enough gems to buy a show pony...

Hi, I bought the 2nd boiler back when it was on sale. I can tell you that you are not missing out, if you already have enough boiling water for your noodle house crafts.
During LB, when I collect from both boilers, I get 5 LB points (like Pookiebear said). That’s about the only good thing.
