I just bought a witch cauldron from the oven design tab, placed it, and the game refreshed...and it's GONE. Then I go to try to buy it again and it's not in the design tab to buy anymore!!!

This is one time that I'm thankful it's a repeat prize I don't need, lol. Obviously I would enjoy getting a prize offer that I don't have already but it is nice to know I only have to play long enough to unlock the new recipes.

I agree. It is a lovely piece and I've displayed mine every year since I got them, the older Halloween stuff is much 'spookier' and not so cutesy which I prefer. Despite this being a great item to have, I do wish that they would offer several decos when the prizes are small like this.

Bit stupid , we got another oven , pumpkin stove, with cauldron (cup)cakes they look just the same but

Fixed my flub on Goal 2, thanks for pointing that out guys.

Somehow I missed it despite going over the goals three times before posting! I think it likely was because there are so many 5s in the rest of the goals that my eyes started to glaze a bit whenever there was another 5 on my screen, lol.

I have 7 ovens going and it?ll be harder since the original recipies took so long. I just want to unlock the recipies and think I can do that. I liked he goal prize but not spending gems because I shouldn?t have to, pulling 7 ovens out of storage ?should be? plenty for any 5 day goal. We will see.

Edited: this is one of my favorites ovens the recipies were so cute. The new recipes are pretty yuck compared to them. Not sure why they couldnt keep the same flow/design/feel of the originals?!?

I'm glad that I have played this game for a long time since they first released Bakery Story. I already had 13 Witches Cauldrons in storage and enough materials to build three more. I'm almost done with the goal. I'm on the last part.

Long time player but I had none of these ovens and I know I wouldn't get the items but I'm thinking I may not be able to even get the recipes open. It's as if they are discouraging new players and so many people have quit playing. It really makes me sad that they are ruining these nice games with just pure greed. I keep looking for a similar type of game because this just isn't fun anymore.

I already had the prize on my main account, and 4 of the ovens, so I'm taking it easy, just building a couple more and opening the recipes. On secondary accounts I'm just not stressing getting the prize, even though I didn't have it, I'll get as far as I get.

So really the only thing that's bothering me about this goal is the people who send me the wrong parts. :mad:

The Witches Cauldron was originally released in September 2012. There have been Halloween goals of some sort every year so this is not the first. The 5 day goals are notoriously difficult to finish, my advice is to build as many ovens as possible/comfortable for you and use the first post of this thread to help manage your time.

You can start the longer recipes ahead of time which can help; for instance I'm on part two of the goal but am only using 2 of my Cauldrons to make Witchy Puddings and the rest have started making the Cauldron Cupcakes that are needed for part 3. This way, by the time I finish with part 2 half of the work for part 3 is already underway. Hang in there and I hope the forum helps you make it as far as you can or want to with this goal.

Yep, uncreative lookalike parts is paying off handsomely. Campfire logs, logs, firewood, maple planks. Black iron, witches brew. If Storm would stop trying to reinvent the wheel with parts that are one-time-only instead of screws, etc. they wouldn't be so pitifully desperate.

I too had none of these ovens or parts. I know the long timers here get tired of old prizes but this way us newer ones get a chance at them. The prize looks Really nice, wished it was shown next to something so I could judge scale but thanks for the picture!! Refuse to pay gems for goal parts but still hoping to finish!!
Actually, if the goal does end on the 24th then we've gained time, lol. Lately its been starting in evening (PST) then ending morning of the 5th Day so really only 4plus days!
Also I live by the Moderators schedules, A Super Great help, thanks!!

Ive been playing these games for many years but i never spent real money to buy gems at all. I earned my gems by masterings recipes and occassionally by watching ads video so i dont have the right to complain coz basically i played this game for free and im grateful for Storm8 for giving us this game. If the odds of not finishing a goal like this one is high i just skip some steps by using my gems.

I have been playing on and off for several years, meaning I have missed quite a few prizes, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to get the old ovens and recipes (plus new ones), however, I can see why people are frustrated if there are only 5 days to make several recipes that take between 6 - 21 hours. If you only have a few active neighbours, or get gifted the wrong parts, it can make a difference to completing the goal.

As I said, I'm grateful to Storm8 for bringing the ability to get the old ovens back :tickled_pink:

S8 -Thanks for bringing back the old stoves, as I did not have this one. I am glad to get old, cute recipes.

Goal prize- nice, but too small for the amount of work we are doing on a 5-day goal with very long cook times. I had none of these stoves so I will not be able to finish. Many neighbors have left the game, so I don't get many parts back and therefore only build 1 stove a day. ( And yes I do go to the Add-Me forum and get neighbors but people keep leaving anyway).

I am hoping I can at least unlock all the new recipes ( which are also cute!).

I agree with some opinions on both sides about the new goal set up and how much harder it is to finish goals. I feel though that the constant tapping due to asking for too many parts and yet we still are not making much profit and don't get enough servings (especially for RS) will not cause people to want to spend more money to play the game. I have spent real money, but this does not want to make me spend more if I feel taken advantage of. I NEED to get my money's worth. And this is a fair opinion to have. Overall, I hope the game continues and that they listen to players a little more. If the game is on it's way out, I'll play for as long as I humanly can ( as I work full-time which ALSO makes it hard for me to complete the new intense goals ), but if it ends, so be it.

There's no way some players can finish this.

I had two cauldrons already built from 2012, and managed to build another 3 in a day between parts I already had, gifts, and requests. If I plan if out, it still takes me until the last day to just cross the finish line.

So, how are others that didn't have this exact scenario gonna have a chance?

Nope thankfully I have 2 accounts. My Android Bakery I?ll be lucky to open the new recipes much less finish the goal completely. Bummer. I too try not to spend real money on games. As a few I have went under. Unless it?s necessary. I think keeping these games is good. At least it helps me wake up in the morning plus I?ve been playing since at least 2010. I?d find it very hard to quit. Not completing goals, while not a deal breaker for me. Just disappointing is all. Deal with it n move on already.

With the new Value Pack offers today, it looks as though this goal will end in roughly 29 hours. They always end on or a bit after the goals end so it's a good guide.

I have 10 appliances and almost 70 neighbors. I was able to get my 5th cauldron built this morning. Tonight I?ll finish part 3. I do bake ahead whenever I can. I spent 2 gems because I messed up my timing. If I calculated the rest correctly, I?ll finish in time and won?t need gems. I figured the 2 were worth it. Based on when the timer switches over this event should end midday Wednesday EST.

I admit I do have to set timers throughout the day. It has certainly been a tough event.

Just like the other players here, WE NEED EXTRA TIME to finish this 5 day goal!
This is supposed to be a fun game, not stressing out! I won't be doing these goals any more. Not investing anything until things are changing. Using this game ONLY to keep in touch with the friends I made over the many years I played these games.
I wonder if the devs are listening at all to the amazing list of complaints?

I think a lot will stop doing these goals, don't see me carrying on tbh.
You need plenty of neighbors to complete these but I like to tip everyone and that takes time as it stands. It becomes less personal the more neighbors you get. It takes up enough of my time without having to tip 50 more neighbors.
It used to be lovely to sit at the end of the day and go through it ...

now it's becoming a painful chore! :mad: :(

Of course they?re not listening to the complaints as is evidenced in their disregard for requests to lower part counts/extend goal timers. I?ve been playing for years but only joined the forums a year ago due to unhappiness with the struggle many long time players face and difficulties newer players are having with completing goals. I don?t plan on finishing this goal and wouldn?t be able finish it anyway. I just want to unlock the new recipes on the appliance.

It would be awesome if we could start getting teasers a couple of days in advance for these 5 day goals. Since they typically use existing appliances, if we could get a head start gifting the right parts and building it would be so much more doable. I already had 10 witches cauldron built from previous years, so this goal was easy for me but I can't imagine being able to finish if starting from scratch.

It wasn’t that bad at all. I started with 1 appliance built 5 more but really only used 5 total was constantly cooking ahead. All while working full time and dealing with 2 small boys. The longer cook times helped though.

HOW CAN GOAL END TOMORROW!!!! My Goal chart on top left Says 2 Days left Unless they're ending it at 12AM Wednesday???? So It might Not even be 4 Days, S8 has got to be Kidding!!!!
I can finish Only If goal ends late in day And I didnt mess up, Great Nbrs, Good Timing, Etc!!! NO ONE Will finish before unless Just Buying their way thru!!! I Want the Prize!!!

I will finish in 8 hours without spending any gems and I'm not no one(: I started with no ovens like I said in an earlier post. There are people who will finish without buying their way through as they have mentioned in these threads. You and others are just choosing to ignore those posts.

I unlocked all the recipes, but will not finish the goal in time. This is the first goal that I couldn?t finish.

Thanks! I decided from the start to only focus on the recipes which takes a lot of the pressure off of these goals.

I can only hope the next goal goes smoother than this one, lol. I know five day goals are more intimidating than the fifteen day ones for some players but I really think the late start put some added pressures and uncertainty into the mix that upset players more than usual. Fingers crossed that they've worked the kinks out of the system for the future goals.

It would be awesome if we could start getting teasers a couple of days in advance for these 5 day goals. Since they typically use existing appliances, if we could get a head start gifting the right parts and building it would be so much more doable. I already had 10 witches cauldron built from previous years, so this goal was easy for me but I can't imagine being able to finish if starting from scratch.

That would be nice; I miss the days of teasers from s8!

These goals are the exact reason why I never refuse any part that's been gifted to me. You can never know what you'll need in the future and I'm a 'better safe than sorry' type of player. The good thing about using these older ovens is that they require less parts than the ovens released these last few years so they're quicker to build.

When I started the latest getting spooky part 2 my collectibles disappeared. Is this normal, and are there new collectibles with the witch cauldron, as I am not showing any? Thanks for any insight.

I noticed how first oven goal parts are on second page they are trying to trick us into sending the 2nd oven parts first

Has anyone else found they are not getting anything from asking for parts when sending a gift request, I know my neighbours are great at responding & yet nothing is coming through. It?s almost like they are trying to make you buy gems to complete the goal ��

Yes, I have definitely noticed this is the case. This is the first goal I have noticed an issue. I suppose it's possible some of them chose not to do this goal, but it's been frustrating. I only just built my 5th oven this morning because of it. There was absolutely no way I was ever going to finish this goal.

Did you scroll to the right in the menu? It took me a little bit to realize there were more recipes available than the 3 on the first page.

Welcome to the forum. :)

The collectibles are removed at the end of the goal. Keep a lookout for the timer in your goal list to see when the goals end. The new goals have started. Good luck!

If you completed all the requirements and received the final pop up that congratulated you on winning the prize, then it should definitely be in your inventory. Make sure that when you're flipping through the pages, you do so slowly because it's easy to miss specific items. Unfortunately, I can't tell you where you should look for the item in your inventory as its position depends greatly on what other items you own and of course, it's different between android and iOS.

After looking carefully through your floor decos, if you still cannot find your Witch Supplies prize, you might want to open a support ticket with s8 so they can look into the matter. https://support.storm8.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I had 13 hours left on my timer for this, had everything set up to finish when I woke up, got up with about 2 hours to go, but it was finished already?? How is that fair to end it early?? :mad: I am in the same time zone as storm 8 so that's not the reason.

Did you guys complete the goals on time? If you did, restart your device and scroll through your decorations tab from beginning to the end and check if your prizes are there.
