Elsa;1544811']Just sharing a tip that pops have a chance to drop as extra loot from buildings. If you're on the quests that ask you to visit a craft biulding, you can complete any craft and the pops will have a chance to drop from there. There aren't any crafts specifically for the pops. https://forums.storm8.com/images/smilies/smile.png

If you have are on a quest and an item you're asked to craft is locked by goal, you may need to collect a pop first!

And that haunted broom is a recycled item. I've got 2 from a previous Halloween goal, different color of course....lol.

Looks like I'll be hoping for these pops to get the headless horseman.

At first blush, I think this has the makings of a pretty good event and I'm glad they've finally interested me enough to unload some of my stored energy. I really like the look of all the craftable pets and I hope it's like last year's Halloween event and we can craft as many as we please. The treat bag drops are awesome and I cannot wait until they go on sale, I'm for sure going to stock up on them since they seem to have the same drops as Rainbow Pots which are always welcomed.

If you have done the Elven goals and have the apothecary, you can craft the kitchen boost which temporarily speeds up the kitchen timers. But that will eat up your Elven coins if you use repeatedly.

I haven't received any either. But unfortunately my neighbors accepted requests that were automatically sent from the last event before this one even started. Accepting requests from an expired event is pointless and in this case even detrimental. :(

I have asked for the sweet treat bags from all my neighbors twice today, and have yet to receive a single one back. I think it's a glitch in my system. I usually have no issues with this, but one day in the last event, I had to ask 3 times before any of them appeared. All other days, I had no issues. I have been receiving requests from others and have respond to them all, but I have not had a single response to my requests.

Update: I checked and my newsfeed says 10 friends responded to my request, so why aren't they showing up?

Ali-colts, barrister bakery, harvest pergola and horses just to name a few. But with random drops no doubt we will be growing and harvesting a lot of sugar cane and making sugar in the kitchens to keep up with the sugar needed.

My Egg and Dairy Exchange just gave me sugar. I'm still doing those almost non-stop.

I can confirm I just got a glimmerbulb pop from my jeweller even though I have crafted the broom and am waiting for part 2 to start. I didn't however get any pops from 4 hatchery collections, so am assuming we have to wait until the appropriate goal before the new pops become available (except for from treat bags as I got a lumin pop from one) unless I am just unlucky (would love to know otherwise if that is incorrect).

Beware to all who have the witchiest workshop - there is a major bug! At first I thought it was me . This morning when I used gems to speed up and open the pumpkin craft, i selected the pumpkin and instead I got a broom.

The first time I thought it was my error but it just happened again. That’s a lot of wasted time and resources crafting sugar, not to mention gems. Very unhappy and i was going to post about how cool this event was, Love all the different things to do and such and there’s little advantage to extra energy

But gem spending has caused trouble for me - beware.

You can also craft sugar in the Winter Bakery.

These aren't guaranteed drops every time, but I have gotten sugar from all of these places.

You don't do much with Sweets Bags. Those are what you have received from neighbors and then you "give" them to complete the goal that earns you one Bag of Treats to place and chop. If you have extra Sweet Bags left today, they should apply to tomorrow's goal when it pops up.

I was excited about this event at 1st as i sat out the last event and saved energy. I have been very picky on the events I participate in lately. Only choosing ones that give me something useful at the end (trade tickets, permits etc). Now that I have time to ponder the rewards of this one, I am extremely disappointed. I don't really need more Halloween deco. I had put out a bunch from last year waiting for the last event to end but I had to take most down to put out all the buildings needed for thus event. I know there have been a lot of expansions opened up recently but they are sooo expensive it will take a while for me to unlock them.

Also, I have only recieved pops and black flags for already maxed items from the treat bags. It takes so long for me to visit 10 kingdoms, I'm not sure its worth it. Decisions, decisions....

Having just read danzplace’s comment about the witchy pot making errors, I just checked mine. I know I touched bar o’lantern not haunted broom, and when I click on the witchy pot to see how much time is left, it says it is making a haunted broom! I already have the one broom I made sweeping away, I don’t want two, and now I presumablyhave to make all the necessary pops again, since they’ve been used.

I crafted the Bar-o-Lantern from the regular Witchy Workshop. I feel terrible for you, I'd be so disheartened if that waste of resources happened to me. I hope this issue gets fixed.

There is a lot of downtime for me in this event, but rather than having extra Energy, I end up using it all up in harvesting Sugar Cane. The Vineyard Horse (4 hours) and Dark Unicorn (8 hours) have decent Sugar drops for me in these times of Sugar shortage while the Royal Exchange that used to give me 1-2 Sugar suddenly gives me amazing odds of 2 Flours, haha.

My bat gave me an earth wisp, kinda disapointed as that wasn’t shown and I have way too many things that drop wisps. I was maxed on lanterns with nowhere to get rid of them! I can now make some more lumin essence as I upgraded my deep mines, any other suggestions for using up Lanterns or wisps would be hugely appreciated. I like that we aren’t glued to this event and I have plenty of energy for milk and eggs for trade tokens but it seems that using all these resources for decorations is a waste. Please can we work toward items that drop cool/useful things rather than useless walkers or seasonal decorations.

My bat gave me an earth wisp, kinda disapointed as that wasn?t shown and I have way too many things that drop wisps. I was maxed on lanterns with nowhere to get rid of them! I can now make some more lumin essence as I upgraded my deep mines, any other suggestions for using up Lanterns or wisps would be hugely appreciated. If you have expansions, you can "give" your lanterns towards that expansion. But you don't need to finish those requirements until you are ready with your money and/or tickets.
You can also start making enchanted lanterns. That craft is way towards the bottom on the list in your workshop. Warning tho, the wisps are a pain to collect.

I'm not too much into decorating, so I'm not really needing the costumes pets, but since so far they are pretty easy to get, I'm playing along. I guess the big prize here is that vampire bat that has the best drops. I'm hoping I get one from a treat bag. So far I've just gotten black flags and pops.

I'm not to crazy about the walkers either.

This is disappointing, happened to me as well. Serious sugar shortage in my realm makes it a total bummer! If I had the resources I wouldn?t mind the spare broom. Thanks to those who posted & noted the glitch. Trying to get word to my neighbors.

Having just read danzplace?s comment about the witchy pot making errors, I just checked mine. I know I touched bar o?lantern not haunted broom, and when I click on the witchy pot to see how much time is left, it says it is making a haunted broom! I already have the one broom I made sweeping away, I don?t want two, and now I presumablyhave to make all the necessary pops again, since they?ve been used.
This happened to me too. Thought I had made a mistake but was sure I hadn't know I know I didn't.

I looked at the treats adventure and it’s locked by a goal. Does anyone know when the goal is available? Thanks in advance.

I just checked the first page and it looks like the adventure won’t be needed until the Franken Pig so I guess I need to wait another day. I usually do the adventures around 7:30 or so EST so I need to wait for Pacific time

Do we know that the adventure will drop the right pop every time? My concern is that it drops only sporadically and will have to be run a few times per pop.

The adventure dropped the right pop for me each time. The potion shop drop is not guaranteed. It dropped the pop for the first couple of times and then only half the time.

I am on Sweet Surprise Part VII Craft at the Potion Shop (Craft anything you want)

I crafted 2 orange dye in my Toadstool Potion shop and used runes and gems to speed it up. Neither one of the dyes counted towards the goal. I got 1 glimmer pop from the chopped treat bag and must have received one from the craft but I did not progress with the goal.

I could sell the toadstool potion shop and replace it with a regular potion shop but hopefully will not have to.

I sold the toadstool potion shop and did 1 craft. The goal got checked off. Unfortunately I already started the pumpkin cottage craft and now need to get the same items again to complete the next goal.

I wish S8 would consider starting new quests earlier in the week so that the programmers are around in case of issues.

That being said I am enjoying this new quest.

The adventure dropped the right pop for me each time. The potion shop drop is not guaranteed. It dropped the pop for the first couple of times and then only half the time.

Teehee, I got lollipopped into buying that thing, too! No way that's helpful. And seems it takes 15 horses to get 1 sugar, lately. Sure wish I had another bakery or kitchen besides just the 2, but so be it.

Seems fun so far. You only have to make 1 of each item to progress towards the headless horseman. So I'll just move stuff around to accommodate the coolest & store the ho hums. Burned out on all the previous events, so this is nice pace for us game weary folks. Still bummed my pot doesn't bubble & wisp while crafting. That woulda been cool!

For those getting broom sticks....make sure you tap the item...the lantern, cow, chicken before you tap craft. You are not automatically on the craft just because it's open. Hoping that no one is still having problems with the crafts!
I've only been using the Witchy Workshop & haven't experienced any problems yet.

Seeing all these posts about the crafting buildings not crafting the correct items has me seven kinds of paranoid! I've started to take screen caps of each and every step of my crafting in the Witch Workshops just in case. Thankfully, I've been lucky enough to not encounter this bug (yet) but I really feel for those that have. It's never a good time when something goes wonky, but it's twice as bad when it's a limited event issue. I hope they get this sorted soon for you guys.

We do have other places to craft sugar, if your kingdom is old enough. It's the Winter Bakery, which we have 2, and the Cooking Camp. Here we can make 3 sugars every 15minutes, so a good supply as Sugar Cane crops are valuable to find pops also and the Kitchens used only to craft pops.

The Vampire Tomb dropped 650 coins plus a Haunted Path tile. Pumpkin goat drops coal. I am maxed on coal so I do not know the quantity. Pumpkin Cottage drops 220 coins and a Glimmerbulb pop.

The drop of Mithril pops from the Magic Forge appears random. I have done different crafts 6 times and got 1 Mithril pop.

A similar thing happened to me. I had the toadstool potion shop and the goal wouldn?t clear. I sold it and bought the regular potion shop. I did not want to wait until the programmers came back to progress.

Does anybody know what the goal is where you get the witchiest workshop. I have it in my first kingdom, but not in my second.

The only reason I can think of is that it was a drop from a sweets bag. And even when I won't be able to use it (don't want to try after the stories here) it is useful. Because when I'm crafting something, I can use the witchiest workshop to see what I have in stock or what I still need to collect/make.

It was a Reward Reward from Sweet Surprises Part I aka the first day. I keep confusing myself on goal numbers and days. Good thing I obsessively write up events so I can easily go back and check... and double check, lol.

Try checking ALL in your inventory. I missed seeing mine at first and was looking for something else, not a building, when I found it. I have been using the gifted pot and not the coin purchased one and have not any problems. Chicken is crafting now.

The first crafts were very sugar intensive. Thankfully I have two winter bakeries and the cooking camp to make sugar while the regular kitchen made the pops. One time I did use runes to double my sugarcane harvest. Note for those still on the Mermaid quest, the double harvest works on the drop (dark pollens) from the flower bushes.

I missed the original event, but I feel very lucky that I got the Winter Bakery when it was on sale earlier this year, I think. I have been using my Winter Bakery all of the time since buying it , and for this event - making sugar is a must!

Actually I did not find a second Witchy Cauldron. I found a Brewing Cauldron and an Ivy?s Cauldron, neither of which will work for this event. I do not see a second Witchy cauldron. I have the one I bought with coins.

Is there a glitch on the chicken. I made one and the goal did not finish . Do we need to make two? So bummed. My goal just will not finish. So I cannot move on to the next goal.

Abou to give up,. My date 10/8 time 12 am. Trying to get to the ghost chicken. Don?t see anything about skipping the cow and buying gems to skip. Do u have to buy the cow to move forward? Must have missed something.

The option to skip with gems is in the goal book listing for this event "Continue to Sweet Surprises." The Kingdom Goals book is in the upper left hand corner of your screen.

Wow... I gemmed ahead to get the adventure started today since it was 4 hours long. I just collected & Thurston said Gemma came back with loads of candy! Well, no she didn't Thurston! It was 1 lonely spellbound pop!

If she came back with loads, that adventure should've dropped at least 3 pops...maybe a variety but including the 1 needed for the Franken pig.

I'm sorry I don't know what's wrong. Maybe you could take a screen shot and submit a ticket to support for help. Sorry again that I can't help you.

My knights are out, so I cannot go on adventure yet. However I opened a bag and got a pink pop, which triggered the dialogue with Gemma returning from trick-and-treating. It didn't complete the goal though

There's one workshop in the market and you got 1 from goal.

I'll write up goals tonight. Sorry for the delay, was away most of the weekend.

Thank you, I located the second workshop in my inventory! Still very frustrating that Ithe workshop defaults back to the broom even though the lantern is shown as available, very misleading and puts us way behind, hope I can complete all these goals, so really need expansion permits.

Thanks Riverly & I. Understand what what your saying but I wanted to skip to part 4 & not do the cow. Is that possible? It’s been on part 3 for 2 days. I have nothing in my goal book that says I can skip with gems or how to get past the cow.

Nothing except I already had one from a previous event. Are u telling me I have to do the cow to get to the next part. I understood that u skip over the parts u didn’t want, my either waiting a period of time or bought with gems. Screwed up again.That appears to be the case. I know I had to get that silly Baron Lantern and it went straight to storage. I wish I had had a way to skip it. Or maybe somebody out there knows of a way. Anybody?

It was a Reward Reward from Sweet Surprises Part I aka the first day. I keep confusing myself on goal numbers and days. Good thing I obsessively write up events so I can easily go back and check... and double check, lol.

Well, I must be blind as a bat, because I checked my inventory 3 times already and I can't find it. I also searched my kingdom in edit-mode, but came up empty. In both kingdoms I'm at part 5. Just to make sure I'm looking for the right pot: the witchy workshop was bought for coins in the market, the witchiest cauldron can be bought for gems and has pumpkins around it. When I put my witchy workshop in storage it shows up under buildings, the witchiest workshop in my first kingdom also shows up under buildings.

The workshop is still available for gems at the market in my second kingdom, but no longer in my first. A real conundrum...Looks like I just didn't receive it (what did cows have to do with anything?).

It reads like you should have an option to gem skip ahead. It's not too clear though how far you can gem ahead without doing the goals. Could be better explained. I think it should be worded differently.

But because the number of gems is increased, it seems like you should be able to skip the goals.

We fed our hamster, but possibly one of his friends is very tired. We're working on rejuvenating all hamster operations as soon as possible. :)

I’m able to get into the game again. Hooray! But I just realized I purchased the witchiest workshop instead of the witchy workshop when I had to complete that goal a couple days ago. 50 gems lost. I was better off not knowing. :(

Not sure why we needed a witchy workshop then given the witchiest workshop. My kitchens are about to burn down trying to churn out all this sugar for sapling pops, then making the pops. Kudos to whoever is so on their game that they are crafting multiple items at once.

My game keeps crashing immediately after opening the app. I have enough time for maybe 5-6 clicks before it closes on me. I tried putting away my walkers to see if it would help. Just wondering if anyone else is having game-crashing problems?
