How long do you have to collect on a contract after it expires? Is it longer for longer contracts - etc?

if the contract is say 1hr, you have 1hr after the contract is complete to collect ya cash before the contract is broken.

so if I try 1 day, I have a full day after the contract is done to pick it up - I assume. I tried picking one day to start a contact and noticed that it started as 22 hours instead of 24 - anyone else notice that?

it's the same in Farm Story, maybe it's not Earth, shorter day for all things
