Build a new building to make specialty goods to avoid cross contamination! Oh but by the way, you're going to mill your almond flour in a building that's covered in wheat flour dust. Yeah... there's no way that almond flour would avoid being cross contaminated (and then so will everything else).

I know, I know - it's just a game. :) I shall just have to pretend that my windmill owner has opened up a second entirely separate building, and staffed it with people who have no contact with the wheat windmill so that it can actually produce genuinely gluten free almond flour. :rolleyes:

I have 2 almond trees. I harvest each tree and then go to the windmill to make almond flour, which requires 2 almonds for each bag. It shows I only have 1 of the 2 required almonds, so each almond tree yields 1/2 an almond?! That means I have to harvest each tree twice to make 1 bag of almond flour?

When you collect from the Almond tree you get either 1 almond or 1 almond milk.

Hi It could be your getting an almond milk instead of an almond as each tree drops either of these. Hope that helps. ��

I have the croissants craft in my specialty goods store but I don't have the ability to make butter yet. I'm level 18 and according to the guide butter will show up in the dairy at level 22. Looks like croissants aren't needed for the goals though at least. I don't have the gluten free cake craft (which I also wouldn't be able to make yet).

Edit: croissants are showing up in my delivery requests for the plane which is annoying since I can't make them yet. I had this issue with potpourri too - it showed up in delivery requests for quite a while before I got to level 18 and then the craft finally showed up in my dehydrator.

You're correct about croissants should be at least at level 22 instead of 14. I'm checking on this as well as your potporri.

Hang on to the milk. Opposite to you, I seem to get mostly almonds. I am at goal 4, after being stuck on 3. Since 4 requires 15 milk and I just used mine to make almond butter I?ll probably be sitting here a few days. Ona positive note, you can be making your wheat baguettes while you wait for the random drop to swing in your favor.

This event would be easier if the almond trees dropped only almonds. The almond milk should be crafted as needed. A suggestion on crafting the almond milk would be 1 almond and 1 cows milk crafted in the dairy.

I did accidentally buy the BLOSSOMING almond trees for gems, but now I'm glad I have them. I mean, it wasnt an accident, I did it on purpose, I just didn't see that there were regular ones for coins. But if I had seen them, I wouldn't have gotten the Blossoms, and then I'd probably be behind. My suggestion to folks is that if you want to participate in almond and specialty crafting, then u might wanna think about investing in the Blossoms. They've been pretty helpful.

I’m on goal 6 and need just two more almond puddings to make. I’ve bought 9 almond masks and almond butters from the stand. I’ve been searching endlessly but can not find any almond milk for sale.

I've been watching the newspaper like a hawk but haven't seen any almonds yet. I've seen small quantities of milk twice (which I jumped on) and almond face mask a few times (got myself 5 so I only need to make 1 more when I get to goal 7). And I came across 1 almond cookie in a community farm that I visited to just force save my game. I saw 1 almond tea service in the newspaper early on in the event but none since (wish I'd bought that one now).

If I finish early, I will definitely sell my spare almonds and the milk but I'm still on goal 6 for now - got to get the ingredients to make one more pudding before I can move on.

This is true. One of the tasks does require that we make at least one of the requested items. On the other hand, because some of the requested items are multi-stage (that is, requiring crafting of one item to craft another), it may also be helpful to sell some Almond Flour or Almond Butter as well so that players who are short on time (due to work or other commitments) can bypass the first step and get straight to the second.

Part 1 of goal 9 - prepare an almond tea service - did that complete for you without actually making one in your bed and breakfast? After posting yesterday I found someone selling single almond tea services in the newspaper so I bought 2 but I didn't buy a third because I thought goal 9 wouldn't complete unless I made one myself.

Still having to make 1 almond tea service shouldn't be too hard. I've got a pile of cookies to finish first though.

Yes but I would buy the third once you reach goal 9 and not before. I found it odd that it completed for me since it does say to “prepare” tea service.

There is a gnome in a white baker's outfit turning the crank when it's ready to be collected from (every 2 hours), but no gnome while it's counting down.

Ah - so it's probably the increase in number of almond tea services in your barn that checks off that part of goal (but it doesn’t matter if the increase comes from buying or crafting). Well if I find one in the newspaper before I manage to make one when I get to goal 9, I will give it a shot. Thanks :)

I completed all nine goals.
I received the almond maker but a gnome did not come with it.

It takes some time before the gnome appears. When you collect the cinnamon stick and almond the gnome has for you he goes away for 2 hours and then comes back with a almon and a cinnamon stick.

I used the bucket to collect instead of tapping in case I accidentally speed it up.

Both are the same. The Machine has a gnome chef, see picture in Post 3.

For the last goal I didn?t make anything. I simply bought the tea service from the newspaper and finished the goal that way.

It turns out that lower level players only need to give 1 almond tea service not 3 so the 2 I bought earlier aren't needed. Oh well, should be able to on sell them for the same as they cost me.

I managed to finish the goals, but now my farm layout does not make sense: where do you put a gnome with a machine who drops Cinnamon and/or Almond items, that covers (unusually) a 1x2 space, and shows the animation AFTER the building has finished its "crafting"?

I was halfway hoping the Newspaper Holder (whose text reads "Good morning! Check the news in this Newspaper Stand!") could be placed anywhere on the farm and we could tap it to access the Newsstand instead of dragging back to where our Side Shops are, but no such luck.

Did you craft an Almond Tea Service for goal 9? Unless I am mistaken about the requirements for lower levels, "prepare" means that you actually had to craft 1 tea service...it should not have been checked off just by buying one. We can buy items and "give" them to satisfy some goals, but a "prepare" goal means that we must make it ourselves.

You must have the special touch. My newspaper keeps showing the same usual stuff. I got all excited one time when I found almond milk, realized my barn was full, sold stuff, got back to the paper, bought it, went to use it, and realized I had bought goat milk.......
I?ve even tried cooking with my iPad next to the stove so I can see the new paper every five minutes. I?m glad you are finding what you need. I?ll be even happier when I finish and can start sharing extras.

I was able to complete the goal by buying a third tea service. It wasn’t even my intention. Bought it on accident and realized that the goal had been checked off. I know it worked the same for others as well.

Buying an almond tea service while you are on goal 9 will check off the "prepare..." goal. I was 3/4 of the way through getting all the ingredients needed to make an almond tea service for the first time when I saw some in the newspaper. I bought them and it checked off the goal. It seems like the thing that triggers checking off the goal is the number of almond tea service in your barn increasing (after you're on goal 9, of course). Having almond tea service in your barn on reaching goal 9 won't do it -
because I had two at that point and it didn't check off but buying some after reaching goal 9 did.

I thought I would have to prepare one myself (that's why I only bought two earlier) but Scalezzzz explained a few days ago that they had managed to get the goal to check off by buying them while on goal 9 so I decided to try it and it worked.

I’ll be selling all my almond products in my shop. In an effort to help others, I will reserve my almond products for my shop; not letting them go out on the truck, plane, train.

You'll see the new regular game goals in your game for this update. They have been added to Post 3. Limited Time Quest has been pushed to Post 4.

I've just opened farm story 2 and lots of new goals have shown up, for example, Boba Bounty- make almond milk tea then give 20 to Morgan, Tantalising Toffee-make Almond Toffee then give Piper 10...I enjoy doing these goals (most of the time) but feel that they are a fair bit of work for very little reward...You only get 200 coins and 3xp points for doing these. I'm guessing I could sell these, individually in my shop or as deliveries, for a lot more coin,especially when I have to give 20 of one item away. I just think the prize is a bit unfair and not reflective of the time and individual effort of each item. Does anyone else feel this way or I am over-invested in this game?!

I completely agree. Honestly, I'm exhausted from non-stop events, and now we've been given multiple side goals offering little reward for a great deal of effort. Not good.
