Unfortunately I planted glimmerbulbs this morning. So I had to expand my garden plots. We will need 80 beans for first level up for firefly cove. Thank goodness they only take 10 minutes.

Whoops! Lol
Goal four:
Upgrade stalk to lvl 3
35 bulb fruit
85 beans
2 wooden beams
2 stone blocks

Important information:
Energy-dont forget packs of 20 energy can be made in your GREENHOUSE !!
Do trades for either 10 or 15 energy in the exchange!!

Pull out you farming plots. Beans take 10 min (speed ups DO work for harvesting!!)
I chopped the bulb for fruit and received various petals (black flag) and only 1 fruit out of 10 chops.

Not that one would want to toss anything expensive, but for new players: you can clear any plot by storing it. When you bring it out it will be empty.

If you have unlocked it you can use the elven boost that doubles crops. Then it’s only 40 energy for 80 beans.

Edit: Also, as a side note, I accidentally bumped a cloudberry bush and it doubles the drops for those as well- how did I miss that before?!

Normally that is 100% true, however many players (myself included) earn the items needed through various events and normal collections and we do so without even paying attention to the items as they are not needed at the time of the drop.
Many players should/might have stored up enough items needed during the MH while trading for tokens...
This was a reminder to all to check their inventory, a extra energy source is always helpful especially if it's "free".
Actively making the required items is ill advised during ANY event, however if you already have what's needed...I say use it✨

Ha! Thanks for your reply! My above post was strictly regarding the energy from the GREENHOUSE ;)
Doing exchanges (any of them) if usually fine. At the moment I can't remember that last time we were required by an event to use the exchange building, so my assumption is it is safe to do so.✨

Faeire Elixir is the name of the craft (3rd down from top) in the GREENHOUSE. When you have a look, you will see if you have the items needed to craft. If you DO NOT have the items needed already, it's best to ignore this option all together. Do not waste time and energy trying to craft this if you don't already have what's needed✨

True, but I still use the greenhouse as a way of storing energy for a later point when I might need/want lots at one time. I keep the ingredients filled up at other times by using energy when I don?t need it for anything else (like when I have no goals left and/or no collections ready) otherwise the energy just goes to waste anyway by not using it, so may as well.

PrincessCelestian

Someone once posted that the energy expended to gather ingredients for the exchange trades and conservatory is way more than you get in return. Unless there is an easy source?

You should save them up in between events when you are not expending all of your energy and then actually make the faerie elixir during the events when you need energy. The bulb that you have to chop for this event drops glimmer dust and red and purple petals. So it?s a great thing to work on instead of letting those petals go to waste.

The garden bulb plant drops white, red, orange, blue, and purple petals, glimmerdust, and bulb fruit.

The beans have spawned skunkupines but so far nothing special has dropped from them.

We will need that glimmer dust for goal 8. We have to make garden elixir (12 bulb fruit, 10 glimmer dust, 2 firefly fires), and then we will need 12 elixirs to upgrade to level 5.

Sigh. I’m having Tea Party flashbacks.

Also, I recommend spawning a firefly before chopping bulbs. I have spawned skunkupines and fangbeasts (a miracle after the monster hunt) from the bulb plants, and so far, they don’t help with the quest.

It will just clear it. But you can do this instead of speeding with gems to clear the plots if you don’t want to wait for the currently planted crop to grow. It also saves the energy that would have to be used to harvest the current crop.

~~~~~~~~~~
The lightbulb just blinked on......No wonder I burned through energy so quickly! I was using the harvest boost and I definitely did not get any energy return either. And I do have that shard. :mad: Come on S8, throw us a bone...the bulb plants with the low drop rates, and the low firefly spawn rates should be enough of an energy drain......surely a few energy back from harvesting beans wouldn’t hurt the economy that much.
Someone once posted that the energy expended to gather ingredients for the exchange trades and conservatory Greenhouse is way more than you get in return. Unless there is an easy source?
I gather the items over time, the green houses are a good way to store energy for the future you can have a hundred energy stored as items ready to combine minus the 5 energy needed to collect the elixir. Plus one extra energy to get the water for the 5th elixir. The monster hunt gave me quite a few items. Yay plus the new expansions gave red petal bushes so only one energy to collect 3-4 petals!!
I wouldn’t make items during an event unless items needed are dropping as part of the challenge
In the greenhouse, you need floral glow with is made from red petals, purple petals, and glitterdust. Then you need vital extract that is made from seed piles, mushrooms and dead wood.. With those you can make faerie elixir and it gives 20 energy. I make energy packs from the trade exchange all the time just from collecting regular stuff.
Noticed after crafting 5 Giant Blooms ... craft disappears from Giant Beanstalk!!!
Also have Harvest Crop Boost (for double crop) on
appears on Giant Bloom but doesNOT / didNOT give double ... though have noticed if sped up doesn*t always apply...did try
Maybe if not sped up will apply which will/ would help with collection time for 20 needed to upgrade to L6
but as only 3 hrs apply to Boost need to try when 6 hrs are up... will post if works
Yes I agree.. this is a very high level of energy consume. Not that I want to turn players off, but instead suggest to get out your Greenhouses to help with energy supplies. The major part of materials needed to craft energy there are dropping and going to waste, except living wood and seeds, which can be resolved.
It's possible to speed the garden elixir crafting in the Potion Shop, but on the long run very consuming on silver runes there. I would suggest to try and slowly continuously craft the elixir, instead of waiting the last moment to do all.
The Fairies are adorable though.. and lots of time to do the event. I do think it's worth the try.
Good Luck!
I crafted one Giant Bloom, and the craft has disappeared from the Giant Beanstalk. Spirit Wind, are we supposed to be able to craft 5? With a 6 hour collection time, and Giant Petals definitely not dropping each collection, this part of my goal could take forever. This must be a glitch.
I had 21 Energy ready and 25 plots of Beanstalk. I figured I would get the remaining 4 while collecting, but of course that didn't happen. I got TWO energy back from harvesting 23 plots and had two remaining plots to harvest. I usually get 2-3 Bulb Fruit from the plant, too. It took me quite a few Farmhouses to spawn 5 Firefly. All low spawn rates/drops for everything. This is the first event other than Monster Hunt that I've had to stop most kingdom operations, it's so Energy-draining. I feel like I can't finish with my few Energy resources. :(
For those asking what else we gain out of this event, I guess the Fire Fly Cove? It started around $700, I think. By the end of upgrading it, it might become close to $1500. Maybe it will drop something nice? I also want confirmation if there is something else to this event. It seems odd that so far no nicer item has been advertised. I feel like a Gem item is coming.
In Goal 12 (Upgrade the Fire Fly Cove to Level 6), 20 Giant Petals are needed. These are collected from the Giant Bloom. The Giant Bloom has a 6 hour collection time and the Giant Petals do not drop every collection. I used gems to speed up collecting from the Giant Bloom to see how many collections it would take to get the desired drop. In real time, I would have waited 18 hours to collect a Giant Petal. This drop rate must be improved as this could literally take days to complete.
Also I only am able to craft one Giant Bloom. Perhaps I have encountered a glitch, as kolakid2 earlier said they crafted 5 Giant Blooms. That would certainly improve matters. Perhaps a moderator could look into this.
Made & placed 5 Giant Blooms (craft then disappeared from Beanstalk)
Also sped up before but sometimes didn*t always give & l didn*t get ...so waited the full 6 hrs for Giant Bloom to only get orange petal (was maxed tho) SO NOT guaranteed drop:mad:
Faeries can be purchased in Town Square - 500 crowns each for limited time. There is currently no way in the game to acquire crowns except event participation and I suspect most people already spend their allowance on other walkers. I wish we would get a bit better information about how people will get crowns to acquire those faeries. (will they be awarded at specific times during the event, will the fully built Cove start a regular drop, anything else?).
I?m in level 23. Will a Greenhouse Help in this quest.
Crafting energy in the greenhouse, having all the materials dropping, is always a help as it gives 20energy from both houses in a couple minutes.. that's equal to an extra energy bar supply.
But in my opinion this particular event has an extremely high energy consume to work with normal energy the game supplies. I'm at goal 9 this is what the situation & suggestions are at the moment.
*collecting beans from plots* - here park a monster/firefly not to waste extra energy fighting unwanted monsters.. their drops are not needed.
*spawning and fighting fireflies/fangbeasts from farmhouses* - get rid of monster, you'll need all the fireflies you can spawn from the farm houses, but you'll have to fight fandbeasts as well.
*chopping buds* park your monster again.. monster spawns are not needed.
*refreshing glimmer dust supplies* have a couple troves ready if you need dust supplies.. they take awhile to mature.
If however it seems too much for your game to handle.. keep moving on at the place you can. In goal 5 you win the fairy called "Puck" and we should win Crowns at the end of others. Also.. after goal 8 the Firefly Cove, even if not terminated, has pretty decos. These are all positive to have.
Good Luck!
So sorry you are having problems too. I contacted S8 Support yesterday and half of the problem was fixed. Now it is the weekend but I still have hope that it will be remedied soon. I cannot make the Giant Petals and soon will not be able to move on. Best of luck to all.
It is a very energy intensive event and comes so soon after another energy draining event. Those who do not have hoards of alicorns are at a distinct disadvantage because there was no downtime to replenish energy from them. Too bad!
I noticed kola posted a reward of 50 crowns after updating to Level 6. This might be one goal that most players could reach.
I don't think Gem packs will help out too much with this event. It seems to me the best thing to do if and , that's a big IF , you want to spend money on these goals is buy an energy pack for 4.99 and then chop for bulbs as fast as you can in the 15 minutes of unlimited energy.
P. S. Have your potion shops ready to start making the elixirs with firefly fires.
I wonder if we will get weekday warrior. It seems S8 has timed them for in between events.
MoonVillage3
08-04-18, 06:26 AM
yes riverly's is the best solution at the moment for those with limited energy... and get out as many farm houses as possible. when they're ready start the unlimited energy for the spawning. you should have time for another round as they mature in 10 minutes. some fireflys drop also 2 bottles. The more farm houses you have ready.. the more fireflies you can spawn. Good Luck!
I'm relatively new, so I may be wrong, but weren't crowns given as rewards for completing certain stages of the quest during previous events even if you couldn't complete the whole thing? I don't see any listed on the first page as rewards here, and I know I will not be able to complete this event as I am only level 22. If there are intermediate rewards between getting Puck and finishing the event, I'll keep working on it, but if not, there's not much point. Does anyone know when and if crowns are awarded in this event?
It seems like this event is going to be impossible for many people. I used up every last bit of energy I had on the MH so I now have limited energy. I do not know how anyone that does not have extra daily ali's can finish this one. It will be interesting to see how many do finish and how many gems were spent by people who do finish. I have 40 daily ali's, 2 wizard schools, a wizard portal, and 2 greenhouses (the greenhouses are only good for energy if you already have the things to be used-once they are gone you have to waste energy collecting which defeats the purpose) I am using my greenhouses for energy for the first time ever and am using up the materials rapidly. I am only at level 4 of the fire fly cove -working on level 5 so that tells you how hard it must be for those with no extra energy. I sure hope we get a decent prize at the end. My hat is off to all those lower level people that must really be struggling.
I can find no notice that you can only craft 5 of the giant blooms. For people who do not use the forum, that doesn?t seem fair. I had collected from two with no drop, so had planned to craft a lot. This is getting to the point of no fun! Everything is set up for gems to be spent. I do buy gems, but am having to spend more and more as the numbers are getting out of reach! 20 potions to upgrade. Six hours on blooms that are not a guaranteed drop? We all have a point to just walk away. Fast getting there.
Have hope! I'm level 27. I have no alicorns. I do have a greenhouse but not enough supplies to use it, BUT, to give hope to lower level players, often the requirements for a level for me are lower than stated by SpiritWind. I think the requirements for level 50 are always given and at first it was very discouraging but mine have regularly been lower in a few of the items. I am going to play on and hope for lots of crowns.
I'm a bit concerned that many of my other drops have shut down. I need mermaid scales and my water sources have stopped dropping them. In the last 8 clicks on wells and ponds and fountains I have had no scales. Is this normal or a glitch?
Meanwhile I spent ~30 Energy and got 5 Bulb Fruits. If I wait another 2 hours and spend 40, will I finally reach 12 to craft a Garden Elixir?
I don?t know if it?s going well or not lol :) I was just enjoying the tasks not following the same formula as some of the same recent ones! :)
I just started goal 11 about an hour ago, so is that going well? I?ve not looked at what kind of rate I should be progressing yet! I was fortunate to have 2 weekly Ali ready for collection on day 1 though, so I got a good start at least.
Hope it goes well for you :)
I read the Forum and did not know this. Now I am stuck because the Giant Bean Stalk has no crafts. Cannot advance without a fix. Maybe this game is therapy for me to learn to be more patient. However, I am getting very impatient with it!
Have you already made your 5 seeds in the Giant bean stalk, if so the craft disappears because the Flower to get giant petals from is made in the workshop not the beanstalk. Good luck 😃
I can't do anything but wait while my little horse runs, runs and runs, my wall takes forever to load or I get a message about the Internet and then I get kicked out. I finally get back on and do a couple of things and then this pattern starts all over again. I will never finish this quest let alone be able to visit all my nbrs. Is anyone else having this problem? Is S8 doing something on the game? Can this be fixed? HELP. I've already forced closed and reopened, deleted and reinstalled. Have basically the same thing in my kingdom as I did before this quest started. I guess my kingdom is just tired! HELP!
Also, when visiting neighbours, only visit the lowest level ones as they have less in their kingdoms for your screen to load. Hopes this helps. 🙂
Goal 11:
* Trade for Giant Bloom Seed 0/1 | Workshop, 1 hour - 24 magic beans, 1 simple feast, 1 light armor
* Pluck Giant Petals 0/1 | tend to Giant Bloom (not a guaranteed drop!)
Rewards: 100 coins, 10 xp
Note: ONLY CRAFT 5 GIANT BLOOMS - the game won't let you place the 6th giant bloom.
For lower level players, keep going as far as you can. It's good practice for learning how to plan your tasks. After a while you'll consistently be able to complete events. I have a few, but not many extra energy sources, so it's enlightening to find those who have lots, used all their energy on the MH are now having to contend with the lack of energy many of us have for every event.
Thanks for your concern. I only have 1. So I only have a grand total of 3, yes 3, Giant Petals. I have all the Elixirs to do the upgrade to the next level. Made them all by myself. S8 is gone for the weekend so I suppose I have to wait until Monday. I contacted Support late Friday and they put the Giant Bloom craft back in the Workshop. I guess they did not realize that the craft also had to be put back in the Giant Bean Stalk. Patience is not my strong suit.
Best of luck to you as we all struggle to complete this event. At least there are still a good many days left.
Is there any chance they will offer the Armor Stand again. I hadn't been playing long and didn't have any resources when it was offered, now I know how nice it would be to have a source of swords and simple feasts. Same thing happened with the Beastbane Display... I was so new to the game I didn't know what it was when an offer was triggered by a goal. I could have saved a lot of gems but didn't understand. At least I can still get the Beastbane in the market at full price, I can't find the armor stand anywhere.
please increase the citizen cap for having them IN our kingdom like i said last time, my device can handle it and i want to show off hahahaha
Yes I?m now maxed and I think the only one i purchased with gems was the skeleton pirate. I want more of these citizens in my kingdom, all the crowns in the world aren?t going to help unless they increase the cap. We need an increase in the cap. No need to have it really. This part of the game allows you to have the walkers or not as you wish. And I love having people wandering around. I haven?t even won any walkers from LB events so goodness knows how those players are deciding who stays and who goes for a spa. Lol.
WARNING: If you collect the first giant petal and complete the goal you can NO longer craft more flowers. So if you want the 5 flowers, you?d better stay away from the giant blooms. Unless this is a bug and S8 will fix this. Also do not make more than 5 giant blooms, someone pointed out that you cannot not place or store the 6th flower, the only option is ?sell?.
Darn it, wish I?d seen this before I played this morning. Having said that the few upsides of being in the UK are the fact that my first was crafted early last night so wasn?t ready to collect from til first thing this morning, so was able to craft 4 and have 3 placed and one crafting.. I also now realise why I couldn?t craft the 5th.
Looking ahead at goals 13-15, it requires 40 crowns. Will they drop from grand fire flys spawned from cottages?
In that case I'm thinkimg of focusing on getting all the fire fly fires now (40 needed for the final upgrade) before beans and bulb fruits, so I can store the farmhouses. I don't have space for both farm houses and cottages.
Collector 700 664 104 49 91 2 6 81 5 328 13,32 14
Assumptions:
Magic Beans: 1 (Grow a Beanstalk)
Bulb Fruit: 4 (Chop a Garden Bulb Plant)
Fire Fly Fire: 8 (Spawn: 3; Defeat: 5)
Garden Elixir: 1 (Produced in the Potion Shop)
Giant Petals: 3 (Tend the Giant Bloom)
Queen's Garb: 1 (Produced in the Magic Forge)
Giant Bloom Seed: 1 (Produced in the Giant Beanstalk)
Antenna Crown: 10 (Spawn: ?; Defeat: ?)
Energy per Day: 400 (Fully used for the event)
This is event is a HUGE energy drain, especially for the last 2 levels. Bulb Fruit are the most expensive to get.
I am only getting one petal every third collection. I also only have 1 Giant Bloom as the craft has disappeared from the Bean Stalk. If this is not a glitch, it will be impossible to finish. I have to believe it is a glitch and will be remedied on Monday. If not, it is beyond unfair.
So, all of this energy and effort and 150 crowns is the only reward? That's not even half of what's required for a citizen. What is the reasoning here? Am I missing something? Do you think they will add a community goal like they did with Allegra? I believe that gave extra rewards.
Yes, with my 4, I typically get one petal every collection. At 6 hours between collections and we need around 80 of these things... it’s going to be impossible even for me with 4. Once again, however, S8 will fix it by making them give 2-3 per drop or giving all of us a “gift” of petals next week. At least I hope... that’s what thy usually do when something becomes next to impossible.
I'm in the same boat you are, as I'm level 22, except I hadn't gotten to the giant bloom seed quest yet. I was hoping there were different requirements for those below level 25, but I guess this means that even the first 50 crowns are out of reach for us, which was the only reason I was playing as I'd like to get a citizen eventually and I've only got 60 crowns right now from previous events. I kind of wish they would just make these events not available at all until you reach the level where all of the items/tasks will be available to you. Otherwise it just feels like a big waste of time.
Yeah, I know some of the requirements were lower for me than those posted on the first page. Thanks for the math, Shibuya. It helps immensely to see at a glance what materials are needed as well as the time and energy costs that lie ahead.
I’m currently at L5, having crafted 4 of 26 garden elixir (of 46 if I count L7) and collected 3 of 20 giant petals (+35 more for L7). This is not even counting how many fire flies + grand fire flies I have to spawn and slay! Progress is definitely really slow on this one, but I’m now optimistic I can finish this event.
Not sure this event is worth the trouble for only 150 crowns, though....
Update: I now see total crown award for the entire event is 450. Now a little more balanced in view of the excess energy and effort required.
OK, thank you for your help. I'm struggling the most with Bulb Fruit right now, and even collecting 18 Energy from my Wizard Schools can't get me enough to craft a single Garden Elixir. That's why I was hoping. :'(
The only positive thing: Thanks to forum posters, I was smoothly able to get all 5 Giant Blooms and didn't waste any time trying to craft more. I just have to hope the drops after waiting 6 hours will be decent. Thank you all for your input. :)
Edit: Bulb Fruit drops improved a bit. 3/5 Giant Petals from the Giant Blooms, I'm not sure how good that is, considering the 6-hour wait time.
I'm level 39 and maxed out at 4 Giant Blooms (I crafted 5 total, hearing it maxed out at that).
In order to upgrade the Fire Cove to level 6 I need:
2 Lumin Essesnce
85 Magic Beans
8 Garden Elixir
10 Giant Petals
I have a few of the newer energy items (like the +2 energy alicorn) and using the harvest boost from the runes/Apothecary has helped with the magic beans so much. But those Garden Bulb drops are atrocious, sometimes I'll have one drop 3 or 4. Or get one that drops like 1. Such a huge energy drain to chop them. We'll see how it goes.
I don't know if anyone mentioned this but if you have the Trade with Belladonna in the exchange it's been a decent source of glimmerdust for me. Granted it's 5 hours but it's a good return on energy invested if you already have stock piles of mushrooms, rat tails and living wood.
All events should have brightly noted.. before the start.. what levels have the capacity of participating. s8 usually does inform this, but I'm afraid this event that important information was omitted, or at least I haven't seen it.
It's sad when you're working for awhile you reach the point you're thrown out due to lack of level capacity without being advised.
Hoping you all get a fix today omitting the light armor, which is only a secondary necessity in the Goal 11, Trade for the Giant Bloom Seed.. you've already reached a long way.
Congrats and Good Luck!
can we store the bean stalk after we make the 5th giant bloom?
Mine can be stored without problems, the option for storage is there... but due to our different devices our same games always propose differences. It's now empty of craft capabilities.
When I placed the 5th giant bloom, the option in the Work Shop shaded out stating 'inventory is full' even though I had enough to craft another. So there was no mistake in crafting a 6th and not being able to place it.
I can't make big seeds in the bean stalk.
I can't make anything in the bean stalk, even I have all the items for that..it says No Graft...
So, without the big seeds I can't make the bloom in the workshop...
From what I've read so far, if you collected from the giant bloom then the option to craft more seeds disappears. Can you please contact Support - and post in the bugs forum so I can escalate and track this issue. There is an existing bugs thread already. It's worth doing both of these... thanks, SW
I only have two giant blooms and the adventure to get three more giant seeds has disappeared from giant beanstalk. Have force closed and still nothing. Cannot finish event in the time allowed now, so will not be bothering in future. Always too many things to gather in the timeframe and I am level 50!!
Did you collect from one of the blooms. I think that collecting stops the ability to collect more seeds. I didn?t collect from my first bloom until I made all five blooms. Just a theory. It seems grossly unfair that if you are allowed five you should be able to collect five seeds regardless of whether you collect from a bloom. The drop rates are so bad for such a long timer that none wants to delay collection while waiting to make more blooms. Hopefully S8 will remedy this. Keep collecting the other items just in case.
I think it's made hard aimed at the players who like to go hard at it and get events done quick. It's now not possible to do that without speeding or skipping a lot....using gems....of course.
Personally I used to use gems but now I usually don't because I don't trust whats coming ahead. If I use gems too early then something else hard comes up like stupidly low drops then more and more needed and so it gets rediculous. The skip/speed up costs are far too high. I'd tend to speed/skip more often if lower cost but as it is now I will not at all.
I spend when enjoying game and the prize is worth effort/money but I don't when the game is just too greedy and uncaring to it's players....no gem confirmation button, not fixing what lots of players ask for like sorting storage as one example, also making events stupidly hard so higher levels/players with lots of energy are targetted and so lower levels/players without lots of energy suffer and often can't complete events.
I gradually stopped spending in the other games when things were changed for the worse. I have 3 big islands, 3 big forests, 2 big cs kingdoms and 1 small. I gradually lost interest and I hav'nt logged on to the other games in months,not even to collect gold from all my dragons or gems from my forest animals. I won't spend on my small cs kingdom and am now looking at not bothering much with my 2nd big kingdom,so will be left with my main kingdom, for how long who knows,but on principle I will not spend loads on it...unless it becomes more fair! I'm well over the 'I must have every item'.
This event is too demanding. The surveys at the end of events ask 'were you sufficiently challened', it should also give the option ' did you find ths event far too challenging'.
Good luck to all.
S8 should consider rolling out new events on a Tuesday or Wednesday. That way, when the inevitable problems arise, support people would be there to refer these glitches to the tech department. Just a thought.
Well that explains why I stopped at 2. I think I?m out of this one. Will save up energy for next one. Regret the 1000+ energy I spent so far. :(
Every firefly I've had to fight from the farmhouse has yielded two jars while I've had the harvest boost running. This may be pure coincidence. This will need further testing.
Just coincidence.
I have to admit the storyline is done really well. What magic does ruler possess?
Do not give up just yet. I only have 1 Giant Bloom and only 6 lousy Giant Petals to show for the whole weekend. Let us see how they fix this mess before we throw in the towel. We should hear pretty soon. Good luck to you.
I?m so tired of ivy?s hut events! If you?re not able to play at the 12 hour mark, you may only be able to collect 3 times every 2 days and that?s beyond annoying! Thank you S8 for giving ivy?s hut a much needed vacation!
Same here.. let's hope drops will be gererous too.
New Expansions added.. pity Flygers & Co are constipated.. Lions too and takes ages to craft just one Permit. It's real slow opening just one plot, specially when it needs 9 permits. :blue:
Thing is, I?m at 5 Giant Blooms now with the freebie and unsure as to whether I can add a 6th or 7th etc. Ok I?ll give it a go, and chance it.
It’s official I cannot make any more giant blooms inventory is FULL but the craft stalk still allows you to make the seeds. Grrr. So I’ve now got a seed being made as we speak that won’t get used.
I did get the free bloom, but I was already crafting my final two by the time I received it. The crafting finished a few minutes after the free one arrived and I couldn't place one of the ones I crafted. So it is still a limit of five.
[I hope that this is not a duplicate post. I don't see my prior attempt to post this.]
I made all five blooms before collecting too. Not that it does any good as you can only collect every 6 hours and the giant petal drops are random so I have collected from all five blooms 3 times and I have 8 giant petals to show for it.
That is not a very promising ratio.
I received the gifted one after I made the 5 and the gifted one was added to my kingdom so I have 6 now.
That sounds really unfair. I had seen early Stymies warning of not collecting petals before crafting all 5 blooms. And I now received the 6th. But all those who didn't and due to the glitch were not able to craft all 5 and are behind on petals, they can now craft, but the gift counts towards the max of 5. They are the ones who really needed an extra bloom.
The Giant Bloom Seed has been updated to require Longswords instead of Light Armor so lower level players will be able to craft this item now.
Then it must make a difference whether you placed the gifted one before or after you placed the five that you crafted. That is unequal treatment!
Saw the in-game announcement about expansions. Are they related to the current beanstalk-whatever storyline? I'm not pursuing it so I don't know.
Of course, Sabina quest came out with new squares after two separate expansions were released .... but I'm a new player so I don't know the traditional experience. Is there a "usually X happens when an expansion come out of nowhere"? or are they just giving us more space?
Ummmm... I think they should have just added a second craft option to the menu instead of changing the first one. I get and appreciate the need to include the lower level players who were allow to start this event, but were roadblocked by the armor requirement, back into the fold but I wind up on the short end of this now as I ALREADY had a large inventory of armor and presently no swords. Now I have to go craft them as well, instead?!? Not cool.
That's pretty much where I've landed on the matter also; after all it wouldn't be a true CS event without at least one point of major confusion, lol. I've not collected any of the giant petals either so maybe that was a factor in freebies? Not that it really matters, either way I'm pretty neutral on this event as a whole. I'm working on it when I get a chance but other than the story itself I'm not very interested so it's slow going for me.
I am wondering about the Fire Flies though and whether or not they'll be offered as pets at some point in the market. A pet FF would be the perfect companion for my lonely, single Wisp.
Dunno if there IS a determining factor. I'm level 39 and I received the bonus Giant Bloom. It previously told me I couldn't place anymore Blooms due to my level. However, I was able to place the ones from my inventory (including the bonus Giant Bloom). So now I have 6 in my kingdom and 1 in the workshop that says I can't place or store. Weird.
Yesterday I crafted and placed 4 giant blooms and did not collect until #5 was crafting. Did not get any petals from the first two. After placing #5, I noted the grayed out craft with the warning that inventory was full. BTW that notice was on all grayed out items in the workshop. The beanstalk could still craft the giant seed. I just now collected from 4 of the 5 blooms and got 4 petals. Yeah! That completed step/goal 11, dialog came up between Ruler and Ivy and the reward for the goal was a giant bloom as indicated by the reward screen. Bloom was in inventory and placed as #6. It just might be that those who had already finished Step 11 just got the bloom placed in their inventory and those who haven't gotten it have not yet finished that goal. Others will have to confirm this.
I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that isn?t usually the way things work and I have been playing for many years. Usually if it shows at the bottom of a goal page, it means it the reward for that goal.
