The following notes have been consistent since season 1. Season specific information will be posted below.

* Get rid of any monsters on your board. You can tell if you have one you can't see because of the music.

* DON'T tap the troll pit. The following do not drop tokens - trolls, pink skunkupine, pink alicorn, wedding alicorn, gem horses.

* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.

* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.

* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83751-Castle-Story-08-06-Update-Jousting-Arena-Renovations-(levels-4-amp-5)) thread.

* The Mythic Research Center is a new long-term goal, meaning it will be around past the current season. All crafts within the MRC are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.

* The new trades will appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.

This goal is just to let you know where you can spawn the Lion from. You can also spawn from pigs. 15 hits to defeat.

Pfferknot Pony did not spawn the golem (it has in all other hunts). The wisp is dropping tokens.

I do not have the daily hunt goals and there was only 1 goal:

Tend cow
Fight lion
Obtain token

For anyone that is on my leaderboard, I am only fighting monsters for tokens.

After that last event fiasco and the fact that no one from the company bothered to even acknowledge all the errors in their programming that jilted their customers, I have to say: I'm not at all inclined to participate in any event right now let alone one I despise at the best of times. However, I'm so addicted to this game that if the reviews so far were glowing FOMO would probably kick in and I'd feel the need to participate. I'm kind of selfishly relieved that it doesn't seem like a normal hunt...maybe this difference will help me stay away from CS this week and not get sucked in when I log in for my daily collections, lol.

Good luck to those competing! I hope it goes better than the last event and all players can actually get and keep the prizes they worked for.

After I defeated the Lion (9+ cows to spawn), no new set of goals appeared for me. The Horse still spawns Purple Glimmer Troll. I'm going to try the Dead Tree next.

Edit: They added Daily Goals. Dead Tree spawns Blue Dire Boar.
Edit: According to the first page, the first and only goal requirement was just to introduce the Lion. I hope the game makes it more clear in the future so that players don't expect more and think the game is bugging out like the previous event.

I'm assuming the lion tokens you get from fighting lions (I received 5 from 1 lion) are only used to forge leaderboard trade items.

This may come in handy if I get close to 2300 points battling monsters.

On the plus side: thanks to my 3 unicorns I have already crafted 3 gold troll tokens.

I think this may be the last straw for me. Considering the reaction to the last leaderboard/monster hunt, I hoped s8 would never do that again. I should have known better when they didnt respond to me asking if beast master meant leaderboard in the sneak peak thread. After the disastrous storybook event last week, this is enough to break my CS addiction. I finally quit smoking 2 weeks ago and now I'm quitting CS. July is turning out to be very life changing for me. Now to find a new hobby so I don't fall back into old habits...

LOL because there are INSANE people who will get tens of thousands of points to make sure they get the first prize. Not every time you will end up with people like that but I highly recommend not spending money to try get first or second place. If you can't get there just by the beast event then you'll probably not make it

Or someone who spends a lot of money on boosts and such can win easily. The problems occur when things get overly competitive and players can find themselves spending and spending. That's their choice, but most players do not like that type of competition and we see it as a money grab event pushed on us by S8.
For me, the leader already has over 2000 points. I'm not going to try to compete with that or get caught up in that mode of thinking that I have to win at all costs.
I'm usually ok with wherever I end up.

get all the flygers you can. then the lions. [although not sure yet the drop rate on the trade tickets from lions, but they DO take 30 to make a permit] I have gotten a nice number of permits from my 7 flygers but they are VERY rare

Just go for gold coins in the meantime. What's in the MCR you can always build after event if you've collected enough gold. Intresting is the Wizard Portal, that's new.. wonder how it works. Haven't read any info on that yet, but seems that craft will disappear as the Trade Wagon usually empties at end of events.
When you're maxed on gold coins, if you can, then you must choose.

The Pastel drop varies. For me it’s usually 2 energy. Very rarely (& I do mean VERY, VERY VERY rarely), is it ever more.

Not a walker, as not located in town square. Plus, when tapped on the prize page, info says to pet it to see what it's found for you. This info is in regards to the plain lion that everyone can win, NOT the lion with the crown on its head.

Wow. I feel pretty frustrated on your behalf. I hope they fix it for you ASAP, as Monster Hunts only happen once in a while, and it is a time-sensitive event.

Mine is the same. The timer on the events seem so arbitrary, S8 adjusts it often or doesn't always respect it. If there are any bugs for players like on the last event, I hope they fix it for them. For now, that seems to be the amount of time we have for this Monster Hunt.

i think 1 reason is only the 1st placed player gets the prize, in this case, the lion
so like you could put in a lot of effort but cannot get the main prize? and most players like to be able to win the prize for an event..
I have participated in 4 of it and only aim for above 6th place just for the trade tickets

Advice wanted - I finally managed to get the MRC last hunt... which creature/s should I go for first? I haven't got any of them yet but I should be able to craft enough tokens this hunt to get a couple.

Looking at the hub the unicorn and the armored alicorn seem like they'd be the best value (or is there something else I should consider?) What is the minimum energy drops for the armored alicorn and unicorn and does the unicorn drop tokens every collection?

Also - when you fight the lions do they just drop lion tokens or do they drop other tokens as well? (Not going to bother with them if they just drop lion tokens as I don't care about the leaderboard. If I complete the goals in my quest for gold tokens, bonus.)

I wish the beastbane thing would go on sale - I've been saving up gems but still can't afford it.

Armored alicorns drop minimum 4 energy, plus have a chance of other drops.

From the Hub

Unicorns also drop a minimum of 4 energy plus a chance to drop troll tokens, including gold ones and spellbound dew. They do not drop the tokens daily, but they drop fairly regularly (except for gold. Those are very rare.)

Armored flygers are also a very good choice. They have a chance to drop earth wisps, lanterns, and extremely rarely expansion permits. Plus a few other things as well.

Golden peacocks have a chance to drop gold nuggets, apples, and eggs.

Beastbane is definitely worth the investment, it helps to prepare for hunts and also helps to use the MRC between hunts, because it drops tokens daily. Either staff, sword or gold. Gold tokens are a rare drop but they do drop.

Are you relatively new low-level player with 40 energy every two hours, like me? The people zooming along have armies of alicorns and other energy-dropping pets that allow them to accumulate 900, 1000 or 1500 energy. Whereas I with my 40 often cannot finish a purple golem in one sitting - even with frequent critical hits of 2 and 3 points I will still need 30+ energy.

The problem for us with events is that we have to stop "playing" anything else in our kingdom and use all of our energy for the event. Because I am a compulsive clicker, I have to store everything to keep from using it: kitchen, workshop, library, marketplace, character houses - they all must be banked if I want to reach the goal - in this case, the lion pet at 1750 points. (not the leaderboard prize walker.)

I did buy the Beastbane at my first monster hunt. It has a little time-limited "quest" that gives a gem reward if you buy it - basically a rebate. Full prices was 400, then I got like 25-75 (can't remember) afterwards. It drops gold uncommonly - in the three months I have somewhere between 30 and 40 gold tokens.

Okay, I admit. By incorporated into the Monster Hunt, the Leaderboard has become much less of a chore since we get point by hitting monster (which we mainly do in MH).

But I still hate the new format where you can only have ONE Pet animal (not counting the fancier version from the rank prize) as a final LB milestone. I remember back in the good old days, you could craft 2, 3 or even more pets depend on your liking, given that you have enough dedication, time and resources.

Just bring back the option to craft the pet straight from the Token (without limitation in quantity, of course) and replace the last LB milestone prize with something else. After all, the Pet animal is suppose to be the grand prize of MH, NOT the LB! :mad:

And then collect up my gold and see what I can get after that - maybe an armored ali or if I can get enough tokens maybe I'll wait and collect up dew again until I can get another unicorn. Yeah I think I got about 15 gold tokens in my first Monster hunt too. That was a 7 day hunt (I think) and this one is a few days longer. 2-3 gold tokens a day is good if you don't have a lot of extra energy sources. Last hunt I managed 30 something tokens but by then I had 2 wizards schools and a few alicorns. My kingdom is pretty much completely abandoned for the duration of the hunt except for wizard schools and anything else that give energy (adventures, ali, etc). I do collect from my 1 golden mine, but other than that nothing get collected. I used to have difficulty resisting collecting other stuff but now I can ignore it easily.

At least the lions drop shield and sword tokens. I will fight some of them simply to help with the massive token imbalance I have going on (way too many staff tokens and not enough sword tokens - and you can't even trade the staff tokens unless you have 25 sword tokens).

I feel like that kid in school who never had the cool clothes or never got to go on the field trips because they couldn't afford it. I only have 20 gems and it seems like whenever I get to about 40 I'll accidentally click on some thing and waste some. I don't even know what the last mistake was that took 20. I'm just really bored now since play lasts about two minutes then I have to wait two hours. Is there anyone out there that doesn't buy gems that has advanced to reasonable play? How long did it take you?

A regular tower is 72. If the lion tower is less than that I'm not going to be concerned about losing them. They're pretty big.

But I don't like things disappearing from my inventory.

As to missing towers, force close.
I end up force closing my game several times every login due to missing items/points/tokens.

Email support through the game, should get them back. I found mine under buildings whereas the gate was in decorations but I guess in your case the reset must have caused the problem. Support sorted me out for similar problems in the past. And yeah they?re only 16 RP.

Me. I have no idea how long it has taken me. I start and stop and start up again whenever I feel like it. I’m at level 39 and make it a point never to buy gems with real money since they’re just too darn easy to lose by accidentally hitting something.
This is a game but it isn’t a competition. At least that’s the way I view it. I play at my own pace and go after completing the main storyline goals and expanding. I am doing this monster hunt mainly because I want the Lorelei sapphires for the Lorelei fountain so I can hopefully tick off that goal.
I watch the videos for the free random stuff, especially gems and stock up on gems that way. Also the purple cow drops gems pretty regularly for me as well. I have three alicorns I won from the videos and the tent and the Pastel alicorn I must have received from a challenge. Those come in handy for energy as well. I like the fact that the energy runs out as I have other real life stuff to do and i don’t need to be sitting around all day tapping a screen & getting carpal tunnel! :)
It also forces you to be strategic in how you use that limited energy resource. Don’t waste time & energy trying to get 5 fangbeasts when the blue dire boar, dire boar, lion and purple golem are a sure thing is what I say.

The 5 fangbeast goal is really not worth wasting your energy on.

I've been playing for about a year (now level 48). I got my first wizard school fairly early by doing lots of the "play this other S8 game to earn gems" quests and trying to be super careful to not fall into gem traps (I still lost gems to traps along the way though). After you get on in the game a bit it actually becomes easier to earn gems (through adventures, purple cow, royal exchange). That's how I got my second wizard school. I did buy gems at black friday last year because I wanted a golden mine and figured it would eventually repay its gem cost through trading the golden items. Other than that though all my gem items were earned. It takes longer if you don't buy gems and you have to be careful about gem traps but it's possible to get there. The wizard schools are worth it. Sometimes these days I even have more energy than I know what to do with (not during monster hunts though). I think it took me 3 hunts to get the MRC (or maybe 4?) which give you access to various energy animals - didn't have enough tokens left over to get an animal from it after I built it last hunt but I will definitely get one this time (maybe even 2 or 3).

As to how long? I felt like I was at a reasonable level after maybe 4-5 months or so. (I think that's when I got my second wizard school and before I bought the golden mine). I was super dedicated about going after the wizard schools though. Somewhere on here, I forget where, I came across a few tips about avoiding gem traps. They're not foolproof (I shudder to think how many gems I've lost to traps over the year) but they did help a bit.

Thank you all for the really useful information. I have saved about 80 gold tokens from several beast hunts. I was planning to blow the lot on a wizard portal, but seeing how little energy it drops, and what it will cost to upgrade I'm not going to bother.

So the question is what to get from the MRC: I have room for 2 more armoured flygers, and I only have one armoured Wolf. I can probably get more alicorns for that matter. I shall do the sums, work out what I can get and have a little research splurge. What I need most is expansion permits.

Remaining questions are what the armoured lion drops, and whether to make the effort to try for the prize lion from points. I have no plan whatsoever to try for the royal lion for first prize. I do not participate in competitive events.

universal advice is to cash in some shields (1 bronze hunter trade) when you get maxed. you will obviously keep getting more shields, and meanwhile by doing the trade you will get a little something.

Have you tried to chop a dead tree. You need to buy one in the market and try it out. 1 chop should spawn.
Adding: That is just good once a day when the daily goals come up.
Adding part 2: I just chopped my dead tree twice and spawned boar both times.

I am finding the blue dire boar spawns repeatedly now, and it is a much better paced accumulation of tokens than the glimmer golem.... you don't keep maxing out on shields and having to do those bronze trades. In fact, the best combination seems to be spawning blue boars and wisps (I am still trying to collect faun seal drops)

Some of it's useful, some of it's cr*p.... for example I have enough path tiles to entirely carpet my kingdom with nothing but walkways. And I only get 1-2 sword tokens from the bronze trade so I don't find it as helpful, but if you prefer fighting the golems then I agree the bronze trade is important.

About every 3-4 months. You make was many gold tokens as you can and then keep collecting. The list of items to use them on continues to grow too, so you?ll have some tough decisions to make. Good luck. :D

I just remembered this .. where is the daily goal to defeat the lion 5 times and get an energy box?? We normally have that with every monster hunt .. even the LB ones. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

I was wondering the same thing but I can't remember if the last LB/Monster Hunt duel event had the goal or not. I do know that regular hunts had the goal (pretty sure it was called Beast Master) and it was to defeat 5 of the new monster to receive the +10 energy crate; they started it like five or six seasons in I think.

Hmm, now I'll wonder all night if it's due to the LB that we don't have it. Guess I'm heading to the HUB have a look-see!

EDIT: After some quick checking it looks like we don't get the Beast Master goal when the Hunt is combined with the LB. Hopefully the next hunt will be a singular event, I really like the security net of having those chests in my inventory!

When this monster hunt started I'm getting none of the Trademan (walker) statues from farmhouses. At least 200, if not 250 energy used (while also "attempting" to spawn fangbeasts) and not a SINGLE statue to assist in my upgrade of the Trademan building. Is anyone else getting these statues during the monster hunt? If so, please post.. or I will go post a bug issue. Thx.

The max is 3 and after the event it will be a decoration only with no drops. For future reference, if there is a max on items it usually says on the back of the inventory card which you can read by clicking the little question mark in the lower right corner of the item card in the market.

As for the chests, they're not actual items that we get; instead you receive the item from inside the chest which you should see on a pop up screen. For example, the last chest I received gave me 71 LB points that added to my total and the one before that gave me a Gold Nugget which went to my inventory.

We need to be careful what we wish for. I think now that S8 is providing new ways to get trade tickets and expansion tickets that's why the number of expansions required to expand are increasing so much. It used to be 3 or 4 expansion tickets were a pretty large request, but now they want 8 or 10 or more.

Just to let everyone know, Princess Lorelei's fountain has given me a gold troll token Every Time I've hit it since the MH began. It's usually possible but doesn't happen every time .. so don't forget to collect from the fountain!

You are very fortunate. I have never received a gold coin in all the monster hunts. I think I've only received 1-2 gold coins from mermaid ponds, too. No alicorns of expansion tickets from watching videos, but I keep trying.

I agree. At this rate it'll take a month to complete just one expansion. And what has been most disappointing is that a drop from the direwolf or white flyer is very, very rare for me. I can't recall the last time one of those dropped a permit but they are good for the lanterns so it's not all bad. :)

I'm glad that people are getting the gold coins/tokens. I hope it continues. Like you said, it would be nice if this was something new that S8 was trying to make up for last week.

I was wondering if it was better to get the Wizard’s Portal and spend the next two years upgrading it or to get an Armored Direwolf. The first would give four energy points every four hours (eight when fully upgraded in two years) and the latter 20 to 60 every five days (mostly 20).

Also, is the Armored Lion worth its weight in Troll Tokens? It has a chance to drop Expansion Permits but are its chances any higher than the Armored Flyger or the regular Direwolf?

Armored Flyger max them out. Then work on lion. Thet have the same drop rate.. why would S8 change the formula for max 4 Mystic Researh items.. unless S8 is really mad at us for not giving them more money

I think there is some major confusion going on between the differences of a trade ticket and expansion permit . the lion drops trade tickets which you need 30 of to make one expansion permit and the flyger drops expansion permits rarely.

Me. I have no idea how long it has taken me. I start and stop and start up again whenever I feel like it. I?m at level 39 and make it a point never to buy gems with real money since they?re just too darn easy to lose by accidentally hitting something.
This is a game but it isn?t a competition. At least that?s the way I view it. I play at my own pace and go after completing the main storyline goals and expanding. I am doing this monster hunt mainly because I want the Lorelei sapphires for the Lorelei fountain so I can hopefully tick off that goal.
I watch the videos for the free random stuff, especially gems and stock up on gems that way. Also the purple cow drops gems pretty regularly for me as well. I have three alicorns I won from the videos and the tent and the Pastel alicorn I must have received from a challenge. Those come in handy for energy as well. I like the fact that the energy runs out as I have other real life stuff to do and i don?t need to be sitting around all day tapping a screen & getting carpal tunnel! :)
It also forces you to be strategic in how you use that limited energy resource. Don?t waste time & energy trying to get 5 fangbeasts when the blue dire boar, dire boar, lion and purple golem are a sure thing is what I say.

I haven't been lucky enough to get an alicorn by watching videos, just two dragons but I keep trying. I haven't gotten to the purple cow yet either. I do enjoy the dialogue in the story line though. It's a better written story than other games I've played.

The 5 fangbeast goal is really not worth wasting your energy on.

I've been playing for about a year (now level 48). I got my first wizard school fairly early by doing lots of the "play this other S8 game to earn gems" quests and trying to be super careful to not fall into gem traps (I still lost gems to traps along the way though). After you get on in the game a bit it actually becomes easier to earn gems (through adventures, purple cow, royal exchange). That's how I got my second wizard school. I did buy gems at black friday last year because I wanted a golden mine and figured it would eventually repay its gem cost through trading the golden items. Other than that though all my gem items were earned. It takes longer if you don't buy gems and you have to be careful about gem traps but it's possible to get there. The wizard schools are worth it. Sometimes these days I even have more energy than I know what to do with (not during monster hunts though). I think it took me 3 hunts to get the MRC (or maybe 4?) which give you access to various energy animals - didn't have enough tokens left over to get an animal from it after I built it last hunt but I will definitely get one this time (maybe even 2 or 3).

As to how long? I felt like I was at a reasonable level after maybe 4-5 months or so. (I think that's when I got my second wizard school and before I bought the golden mine). I was super dedicated about going after the wizard schools though. Somewhere on here, I forget where, I came across a few tips about avoiding gem traps. They're not foolproof (I shudder to think how many gems I've lost to traps over the year) but they did help a bit.

I appreciate the encouragement and perspective. I need to chill out and enjoy the journey!

After 12 hunts I've realized that I seem to only ever complete the Bronze and Gold trades in the wagon throughout the entirety of any given hunt. Due to this: I'm drowning in towers and gates, have enough paths to cover five realms but I'm sorely lacking in the walls that match said towers and paths.

It would be nice if they could somehow make it so that all trades have the possibility to drop all the decos or maybe next time switch them around so they drop different items? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that I'm getting free decos and that I'm able to complete so many trades but after years of getting the same drops every event my inventory is seriously imbalanced. There's really only so much one can do with 300 rainbow towers, ya know?

Well I have to say I’m really enjoying this - it’s nice doing it at my own pace, I’ve managed to build the research centre so am now happily working for gold coins to use in there - I’m not fussing about my kingdom or other goals - not fussing with the leader board but steadily working to get the prizes - could just do with a weekday warrior :)

Hi loana958, unfortunately the forum cannot help with in app purchases. You need to contact Support to resolve your issue. There are devices not compatible with S8 games, so it may be worth checking with Support if the issues lies with your device or not. Does anyone know the timing of the Wizard Portal? If it drops energy every 2 hours it may be worth it however if it is a daily drop it is really not such a great idea I think given the number of troll tokens needed.

Just did 2 gold and 1 silver trade, no gates or gems from the golds and no wall from the silver...?
I almost always get the deco from those trades with the bronze, it's a 40/60 percent chance for the paths. Asking if anyone else is experiencing this as the other gold trade I did when I woke up also produced no gate. Thank✨

Personally I suggest getting the fountain. While I don't have the armored flyger, I have 2 white ones and 2 dire wolves and can say that permit drops are indeed quite rare. I get 2-3 a month if I'm lucky, and that's from four of them. The fountain is capable of dropping many gold tokens during a hunt if you collect promptly and on time. I've received 3 golds so far this hunt, allowing me to get the glimmer Ali and still be in line for my second cabbage hut with the possibility of another armored Ali if I keep at it. Hope this helps✨

My beasts are too stingy. I’m lucky if I get 1 expansion permit in a month’s time from my 5 flygers (4 of which are armored) when collected daily.

I've got just one armoured flyger, which I got during the last monster hunt. I can't pretend that I collect from it every day - I sometimes forget, but I've yet to see it deliver a single expansion permit. Maybe it would be more generous if it had a few flyger friends but I'm going to wait to see if I ever get a permit before I use up precious resources on making another flyger.

I've never regretted getting Lorelai's fountain. You always get a few gold coins from it, so it's a bonus every hunt.

Really enjoying this hunt. Have a new armoured alicorn and am about to get my fourth and final unicorn. (Decided not to go for the second cabbage hut at the moment since the tent hasn't had much that I've wanted for a while.)

For the last couple of leader board events I'm made an attempt to come last (it's really very hard to do this!) but this time all the monster bashing means I'm accidentally sitting at the top on one of my games. I'm sure it won't last, but the other players haven't been that active and I had a lucky surprise drop of 100 energy from an alicorn yesterday

Honeybee: I haven't tracked the staff coin return from monsters. However, I did notice that the boars from the dead tree (30 life) take me close to 30 hits without a lot of energy return, while I can **** a purple golem with 40 energy, have a couple energy left AND do atleast 1 token trade.

aquanther and marmosea give shield and sword tokens. Also, from blue boars I'm getting 11 staff usually.

As I said, those were just the numbers I personally found by fighting five of each animal and noting my results. I'm glad that the sea animals are dropping for others but in my realm they're all but useless. Unless I was focusing on LB points since all monsters give 1 LB point per hit but I'm going for the gold; cheesy pun intended.

5 hrs collection time.

Lv1 drops 4 energy, upgrade - 15 staff token, 20 Troll token, 2 spellbound block, 2 spellbound beam
Lv2 drops 5 energy, upgrade - 18 staff, 22 troll token, 4 spellbound block, 4 spellbound beam
Lv3 drops 6 energy, upgrade - 20 staff, 23 troll token, 1 earthen block, 1 earthen beam
Lv4 drops 7 energy, upgrade - 22 staff, 25 troll token, 2 earthen block, 2 earthen beam
Lv5 drops 8 energy

And I have to agree that the amount of materials needed to upgrade and the drops yielded are in no way balanced and isn't making me want one. For something to require that many Troll Tokens, it should really have better returns. I'll only go for this building once I've crafted all four Armored Lions and have no other use for my Troll Tokens but I'm hoping that before I get to that point they'll have introduced a new energy source that has better drops.

I had originally been saving up for armored direwolf as I was just short a little last time.

Each time I make it something else comes out. So now I?m between using gold to craft armored lion instread or go for the wolf I?m still patiently waiting on. Which do those who have both recommend?

Do you feel one of each then keep going or is one more valuable and first max out on it?

I should state energy is not really an issue with me. If I collect schools regularly, I get 400-500 a day plus depending on alicorns

However permits I am in desperate need of. Not sure how I missed animals give tickets so now I have to go and look and make sure all are out and where they come from as they are my new favorite pets lol

I LOVE monster hunts!! I do not care much for the leaderboard but like to try for around 5th just for the trade tickets. I wonder how these work. Are the same 20 ppl all on the same 20 people's lists? I don’t know how else to word that. Say I have 20 ppl on my list and one of them is my neighbor. Will she have the same ppl on her list that I have on mine and so on? I hope any of that makes sense and that someone can answer it for me. Sorry to ask a silly question

I think I understand what you're asking so I'll give you my general understanding of LB brackets. Let's say 200,000 people play CS in total. When an LB comes around, s8 randomly pulls players and puts them into groups of 20 (but sometimes less) to form a bracket; that's the list of names you see - your bracket. So for this example, there would be a total of 10,000 different brackets each containing 20 random players.

Sometimes you'll have neighbors or names you recognize and sometimes not but during the event, a player can only see the other 19 players in their own bracket. If I have a neighbor that is not in my bracket, their list will contain 20 different players than mine and so on and so forth. No one is really sure how they group us so far as we know it's totally random. I have heard of players seeing the same names in their brackets more than once but so far I've always had different players to my knowledge. I hope I explained that in a way you can understand. The downside of internet communication is the difficulty we sometimes face when trying to describe things with words only.

The armored flygers are the least generous when it comes to expansion permits. The white flygers and regular direwolfs have much better drop rates for permits.

The MRC should become available at Level 22 and you craft it in the Trade Wagon. The craft stays in the Wagon in and out of seasons. Are you L22 or more?

The MRC should become available at Level 22 and you craft it in the Trade Wagon. The craft stays in the Wagon in and out of seasons. Are you L22 or more?

I am also debating if I should go for the portal or not. It requires lots of gold tokes but isn?t it better energy return to have the level 5 portal than having 2 of armored direwolf? Or am I wrong? Math people, please tell me!
Hmmm... you got me thinking; I'm wondering the same thing. And I'm close to being able to get one or the other. The armored direwolf is 85 gold (and 75 mithril, which can take a while to build back up for that 2nd direwolf). 2 direwolf would be 170 gold; they drop 20, 40, or 60 energy every 5 days for a daily energy average return of 4,8 or 12 energy. For 2 direwolves that would net 8, 16 or 24 average daily energy. A level 5 portal cost 175 gold (and other resources, but nothing that is too difficult - 5 more gold than the 2 direwolves) and gives 8 energy every 5 hours. If you collect 3 times daily that is 24 energy daily (4 collections daily would be 32 energy).
In doing the math (if my math and thinking is correct) the portal actually nets more average daily energy. I'm guessing the direwolf wouldn't drop 60 energy that often. Personally, I prefer energy daily vs more energy every 5 days.
I'm guessing, but we don't know for sure, that you can level up the portal between monster hunts if you get enough gold tokens from your beastbane display and unicorns.
Can anyone confirm my math and thinking?

they drop 20 energy, sometimes 40, and very rare-rare 60:mad:
so 4 energy per day vs 4-8 per 5h....

So I?ve got the lion. I just want the trade coins for the Wizards Portal, boy is that going to take a while to get fully levelled up. I?m in 2nd as we speak. Not that I really care that much about that. Although I would be interested to know the drops for the normal Lion and the Royal one. I?m playing against 2, yes 2 neighbours. And each morning someone new is in the lead. Lol. Someone last night jumped to double the total to what the second place was sitting at.

I?m not currently considering talking to my LB players and seeing if they want to do a joint place. These monster hunts combined with the LB events are making it impossible to join together along with causing some to stop and lost trade coins as a result. Which I found out last time too.

So with a heavy heart I?m just carrying on and aiming for as many trade coins as is possible. Am I right it?s also a couple of days longer as well?

I only just found out about the LB Lion but that as I understand it is the walker. The Lion prize for getting to 2300 isn?t a walker.

I am finding the blue dire boar spawns repeatedly now, and it is a much better paced accumulation of tokens than the glimmer golem.... you don't keep maxing out on shields and having to do those bronze trades. In fact, the best combination seems to be spawning blue boars and wisps (I am still trying to collect faun seal drops)

The bronze trade sometimes gives you the Sword tokens which can mean you get enough to to the Gold trade and get the gold coin. In my kingdom it?s the Sword tokens which I?m always struggling to get. Ever since they changed the requirement of how many were needed.

Sorry, I tried to find the citation but I wasn?t able to locate it, but someone said ?if you need sword tokens, fight lions?. Seems to work for me. I?m sooo grateful for this hint because I never realized how to balance my tokens. Either I drowned in sword tokens or I couldn?t get any of them. The lion spawns like every 2nd to 3rd collection in average from ?farm animals? and seems to give sword tokens and no staff tokens. This way you can balance without having to wait for ?regular monsters? (like fangbeasts or boars) to spawn, since those often need like 20-30 taps to appear.

I was responding to someone else who was asking, mine was a statement, but I did wonder if Chinese whispers was at fault for Royal Lion being a walker or whether it’s been confirmed. Do we know yet?

I think I understand what you're asking so I'll give you my general understanding of LB brackets. Let's say 200,000 people play CS in total. When an LB comes around, s8 randomly pulls players and puts them into groups of 20 (but sometimes less) to form a bracket; that's the list of names you see - your bracket. So for this example, there would be a total of 10,000 different brackets each containing 20 random players.

Sometimes you'll have neighbors or names you recognize and sometimes not but during the event, a player can only see the other 19 players in their own bracket. If I have a neighbor that is not in my bracket, their list will contain 20 different players than mine and so on and so forth. No one is really sure how they group us so far as we know it's totally random. I have heard of players seeing the same names in their brackets more than once but so far I've always had different players to my knowledge. I hope I explained that in a way you can understand. The downside of internet communication is the difficulty we sometimes face when trying to describe things with words only.

You cannot, but if you are of the same level and start the LB on the same time you might have a chance, very tiny though!

Level 50 team might get very unballanced as some are fake Level 50, I have 1.2mio XP on my u-goal realm, whereas my queendom has 260k or so. Booth have totally different economies and game play, making the LB totally uneven.
