Hello Fellow Caretakers and welcome to the battle arena. Today starts the 3 day, 18 round tournament for a champion hybrid. Introducing the new Aquarknight Dragon. Win 18 rounds and this beauty will be on your island. As usual, more info about opponents and description are upcoming. For now, here's the battle strategy table.

Upon winning my first attempt on round 4, the battle arena was left open (timer for the next round should've already started). Then I entered the arena again and it was round 5 now. Battled and won the said round. Then the battle arena was left open again. When I entered, the game rolled back to round 4. Pfft. Won again round 4 and now the timer for next round is up.

Edit: all right, so when I entered the next round, it's still at round 4. Beat again the same opponent with the same dragon I used. Wow, I've been fighting round 4 3x already. (-_-)

After a whole day fighting against Strength I got him down with Lovers Dragon (7, Tarot, Heart, Yellow). On my other account I'm still trying everything. Perhaps it helps someone.

And Enamoured was great on my other account. He ****ed Strength with one bash.

Anyone have any tips for BARBARIAN?
I've gone through: Passion 15, Mithril 15, Achilles 15, Valiant 14, Diamond 15, Metal 15, Lovers 10, Passion 15 (again).

I had a similar problem with Strength lvl 17 during the Tribal tournament. 9 fails until I used Passion.

(First edit). (just got it with Smitten 14).... yay!
(Second edit). Ugh, originally I wrote Strength but it was actually Barbarian.

Wow, I was really lucky this time. All the Champions went down first try with Diamond 15.
I had the most trouble with Brazil which I finally took down with Neo Fire (I think).
Tribal 9 took down Goldleaf - my go-to Gold 12 (diamond/yellow) didn't work this time.

I used Jade to take down Naga in my game. The one I had the most trouble with was that blasted Goldleaf! It took out all the logical choices before Light Mother came in and cleaned house.

I guess I'm not getting this prize. I'm stuck again but, on strength the timer is about 14:41 I want to get them too on wondrous waters. I can't remember the last time I got community prizes. I believe the last when we collect from quest outposts, harvest, breeding, things like buried brazier. Why was it changed? I finally got water rune but, not enough money to buy food. I'm poor :blue:

Unfortunately, there's no magic dragon to beat single element champions. All dragons (except Achilles, Diamond, Infinity, Passion and Soccer at 25%) have a slim 10% chance of beating a single element champion. I would say try Diamond again if it's healed or try any other level 15 dragon you have.

Mithril level 10 helped me take down Barbarian, after 3 diamond fails and 3 more fails with other dragons..
Heal Diamond15 often and try different types of dragon in between.

I can only hope that this aquarknight is a real top dragon as anything and everything I threw at it just sidestepped. The only option left for me was to finally ultimate it with time restraints. Will take me a long time for my dragons to get through the spa. Was the most stubborn tourney for me. I would hate to count how many dragons are exhausted and those that have been on the rinse and repeat cycle.

So I'm on neo valiant with 9 hours left. I've already tried my best dragon metal 15. He's usually a beast. Not this time. I've also tried my diamond 15 and nothing. I've also tried my pyramid 14 and love letter 13. Should I try my metal and diamond again. Any suggestions please. I haven't won a tournament in 2 months. I'm so close really want this one. So I'm on neo valiant with 9 hours left. I've already tried my best dragon metal 15. He's usually a beast. Not this time. I've also tried my diamond 15 and nothing. I've also tried my pyramid 14 and love letter 13. Should I try my metal and diamond again. Any suggestions please. I haven't won a tournament in 2 months. I'm so close really want this one. Thanks in advance.
Yes, Diamond 15 for the third or fourth try has won battles for me before.. also try different types in between...

Bad luck today. I'm still stuck on strength and certainly no videos to help. I believe any dragons that I have to beat strength but, too young. I see a lot people have passion and I have it. Either passion is too young or it never wins. Run out of food to fast. I'm a huge fan collecting. Any every event I can't help to try to get them. I finally got water rune not enough food to raise it so get roughstones prizes. I need 69 gold to at least get waterway so I certainly won't get enough roughstones to get community prizes and I don't get them anymore. It's getting to difficult to get them. I need a lot or dragon to win the tournaments especially infinity is my best because he's 15 my diamond and Angel is 10 on 1 account none on the other account can't get it. Please low down the food amount. Food is the most important to survive to events and battles.

What dragons other than champions , Diamonds, map, etc to beat strength. I have neo valiant 14 failed my dark omen is pretty good beating champ but, not this time on 1 account, other account infinity 15 is the best of warrior to beat for champions or than the one I have failed 2x, Diamond 10 failed and Angel 10 too young, neo glasswing 12, Unruly 15 failed 2x and tribal 13 they all too much food to raise.

Ugh, I sunk 96 gold into this tournament! I was busy at work so I didn't have time to battle at all the first full day (did maybe 3 battles) so when I got stuck on Strength for a while, I used Ultimate to beat it. Then I got stuck on Barbarian and used gold again....then with a bit over 2 hours left, Neo Valiant beat my Achilles (15) and Diamond (15) so I used Ultimate and used some gold to speed up waiting. I wasn't going to take any chances with Aquarknight as I had 30 minutes left, but I got him with Glasswing (14).

Ordinarily, I would have had more time to take losses but figure it wasn't Storm8's fault I was behind so not annoyed about the first Ultimate but as you got closer to the end, the dragons got so hard, I had to use the rest. I just got sucked into it once I started using gold. I haven't used more than one Ultimate in a tournament in ages, this was frustrating.

When the champions are hard to beat and it's 18 then give more time. I didn't have any money to buy gold. I usually use gold if that im close I will but, no videos to help this time so

Yeah, I had to edit my post because I went in and realized I didn't fight Aquarknight yet....so it was 96 gold. With two gold producing dragons and dedicated neighbors it is going to take me 8 days to replenish what I lost. I used to spend more money on gold but last Spring everything started changing with the game so I started spending less, though I did splurge for the second gold producing dragon at 600 gold or something. I did the math and in 6 months I break even. I didn't have any videos to speed things up either. I think so many hard to beat dragons at the end of the tournament is to much - or like you said, more time.

I was almost late getting the dragon b/c of work. Should've just ultimate Neo Valiant before I left for work, saves me the stress. -_-
