Yes! In fact, I’d argue that it’s always better to do it as early as possible.

Tasks you can do before the goal comes:
Having the specific animals asked for
Raising those specific animals to certain levels
Finishing battles in the arena

Tasks you have to wait for:
Harvesting or planting food
The evolution flower goals (the ones with no specific animal)
Mining goals
Breeding goals

Because your new to SB events, I will tell what you can do. You can hatch and feed all the animals in this SB if you like. You can also evolve it to lvl 15 if you want. It will auto complete.

Thank you so much! I?m still trying for the viper. I have the WORST luck when I have to breed for a goal- literally can never get that animal! I?ll be amazed if I get it in time :(

Does anyone know when the SB will autostart? I was stalling trying to breed a Bamboon and a Cottonmouth Viper before starting. I got the Bamboon, and I have a five hour breed going right now which I hope is the snake. In case it's not, I hope I still have a little more time before autostart.

I'm not sure but I think within a few hours. Most of the times 2 days lather. But you have time for breeding the viper, because you need it on chapter 6. So 6 days further. Good luck.

You can place one out your storage, like i did. Look for the shortest hatch time. And the act before that with breeding Racmoon, probably gives you a dark element included.

Something similar happened in my first Storybook. I wasn't ready to breed Tidepool Mermaid with Coastal Kirin because Kirin was either still a baby or still in storage - can't recall. But the Bell Fairy popped up as soon as I paired Mermaid with some other creature. What's more, the fairy jumped on to the empty nest where I was about to put a stored egg.
And nope, while it was inconvenient, I didn't complain either. LOL
I think King of the Sea also showed up in that cascade of pop-ups. Details elude me but I know for sure that the side quest involving the pairing of the last two prize animals jumped the *** somehow.

In general, the game has WAY too many pop-ups that can make it hard to see your actions and their effects. They defeat their own purpose, especially when they tumble on to your screen in rapid succession, and can make you tap on the wrong thing.

Has anyone else noticed that none of the storybook animals have the new element? It’s frustrating, because I always buy the new habitat right away and I currently have no use for it. I have no more space for animals until I expand, and I can’t put that empty habitat into storage :(

Usually you have to close and reopen the game to collect these days, hope you get it!

Can you check your goal list to make sure you have completed your Storybook? If you did, restart your device and check storage under "All" tab.

You're, so lucky! I have so far used four bombs and have only gotten one statue (but 7 runes). If I fail on this step, I'm going to be very upset.

Update: Maybe exiting to post, and then re-entering the mine helped, as my next two bombs yielded two statues each. Now I just have to finish rounds 28-30 of the tournament. 😕

This worked out for both my accounts, even the baby account which became eligible just last week, and really wasn't expected to go all the way to the end. The main account got held up trying to breed Cottonmouth Viper, which gave baby account a headstart. I fell behind on both accounts over the weekend with leisurely distractions. Found myself with mangoes growing when I needed bananas, Dark-Earth fail breeds sitting in the way when a chapter called for breeding, a lot of ooopsy moments. I think I was less focused than I would have been if I were working with just one forest -- it would've been easier to track where I was in the story.
Along with doing Storybook for two forests, I had a DragonTales going as well in Dragon Story. Didn't make it past Ch 9 over there, but happy endings on this side.

1. There were at least two chapters that had EXACTLY the same text. Then the final chapter was SO much longer than all the others. Had the story been properly broken up, there would've been no need for repeat narrative on ANY chapter. Please work on this. It is sloppy.

2. Please provide us with information for how you tier the requirements for different levelled players. At what level does a forest have to do the high-level tasks? How many tiers of difficulty are there and what is the range of player levels for each tier? Adding a note that the acts for each chapter "may be different" for lower-level players really is not very useful for such players.

I just did the poll. I wanted to add a comment. PLEASE S8, stop linking the tournaments to the storybooks. I DO NOT want to be forced to do a tournament if I want to complete the SB. I really appreciate you guys trying to keep the game interesting, but all the back to back events, and overlapping goals, are bad enough without being required to do 30 rounds of a tournament in order to do a storybook.
