I was thinking the same. But the goal says we need to complete the other goal first. I think if you get the Bell Fairy as a reward, the step for hatching and collecting, the 24 realm runes automatically will complete

I'm afraid I need to skip this SB. I also thought and wanted to the last SB, but for some reason I did completed it, but for now I'm afraid I need to skip because of lack of space. Don't have room for all the creatures. Full habitats. And I never sell a creature, personally i think that's a waste, I want as many as I can collect.

The only thing I'm afraid of now, will I have enough at the end of this month for the King and Queen of the sea......

And I never sell a creature, personally i think that's a waste, I want as many as I can collect.

I sympathize. I only ever sell coin animals, animals I have duplicates of (either hatched or in storage), or adult/epics to replace them with babies bred along the way.

If you really want a particular animal, you might consider selling one of the basic coin animals that you can easily replace, or a Skyger or something else (like an Armordillo) that you know will be super easy to breed a replacement for when you have space again. Just a thought! :)

I have similar problem with lack of space, but I have duplicate babies that I don't want to sell until it's my only option. I decided to change my 9 big regular habitats for 16 small habitats. That way I can have 32 animals instead of 27 on 12x12 space. I'm on lvl 46 and I don't mind that they can hold less coins, I suppose you don't even need coins anymore :) I would suggest you the same thing, I've visited your forest and saw you have many regular habitats that you could sell and buy small instead. You just need to sell some farms (probably 2-3) to put old habitats while building new, transfer animals there, than sell old habitats, and do the same with the rest of 9 big habitats, and after that build new farms. If you want it quickly, you can build 14 fire and nature habitats that finish instantly, or earth for 1 hour, and the last 2 you can make dark (12h) or electric (20h), and slowly change them 2 by 2 to hold more coins. With this 14 you will get 1 new place for animal, and when you finish changing 4 more places.
That would provide you to finish this storybook, take total of 39 runes to expand and also get tidal tiaras. Last month storybook was 4400 fawn flowers, and hatching tournament animal is 1000 more, together 27%.
I hope you can understand me, english is not my mother tongue :)

Is there a trick crop?when it calls for 60 i will plant an 8 hr crop and it takes about 5 harvesting to do it. I never use gems when harvesting because it takes 16 for one 8 hr crop. I try and plan to do my planting at night so it will be ready the next morning if I can. If there is nothing specific we have to plant or harvest I try to have six 8hr crops ready just in case. Good luck and you'll find something that works for you. Trial and error

I think if you get the Bell Fairy as a reward, the step for hatching and collecting, the 24 realm runes automatically will completeI also have the bell fairy from a previous event and when I bred the mermaid to the kirin it told me to collect the bell fairy because all my nests were full the bell fairy went into storage. If a nest had been empty it would have gone on the nest so make sure before you breed for it that all your nests have eggs on them. I also got the 24 runes go into storage as well.

You need to breed Dark + Earth creatures in order to get the racmoon. The racmoon is also available in your Market for purchase but you get it for free if you manage to breed it. The other way is to skip the "Start breeding with a racmoon" task for 25 gems if you want to proceed with your storybook. Good luck.

I will usually plant two rune prunes when it calls for 60 or 1 prune and the rest 5hr crops so i can harvest 1hr crops throughout the day. :

Just found a few spots for the creatures. And ready for chapter 10 tomorrow. I really wanted to complete this SB, even I'm not a big fan of all the creatures, but I personally thought it would be a waste if I can't get the monthly animals, just because I didn't do my best to get it. Now if I can't get it too, I can say I did everything I could.

Not the best time to breed one but will take it. And will finish breeding tomorrow morning just in time to finish off the Storybook before it ends.

Wow! Condolences (on the delay) and congratulations! Sea element contributed Earth to my breedings, but it must have thrown in Fire for you since Planters was supplying Earth. (See, I'm learning this thing with the special types and their curious breeding habits. LOL)

Oh, yes! Yes, thank you for asking. It was indeed Aquatter. I sped the last 3 hours of breeding once a nest opened up, then sped the hatching when Mermaid came out of the Flower. Aquatter should be finished evolving in a couple hours from now.
I stopped all breeding, feeding and evolving that was not related to this project. Even the Amakihi goal will have to wait. NOBODY makes a move until I see that Coastal Kirin egg!
LOL -- This may be the first time my Breeding Garden is empty since I started playing.

I'm sorry that you can't get the Coastal Kirin. :( However, I wanted to say that I totally agree: I don't usually like the humanoid creatures, either, but this mermaid is very nice. Most of the new animals have been great lately, although it does seem like there is a big emphasis on being flowery or "wavy," maybe because of the spring weather?

With only 8 hours left and the servers going into maintenance twice this afternoon, I decided not to take chances when I was so close. I sped up two short evolutions to get the necklaces for 10.3.
Coastal Kirin is now on my main nest. (OMG - Freaking GORGEOUS egg!) I will sleep SO happily tonight!
Yes, gems were spent here and there to speed up this or that, but they were all free gems gained in game-play. I didn't need to use gems to skip any steps, thank goodness.
My first Dragon Tales in Dragon Story ended at the beginning of Chapter 9; not enough food to go further, so it was great to have completion here. I like this game far, far better than DS anyway (which I initially only downloaded for the gems. LOL)
