First try Air/Forest - 6 hours - either Druid or Leaf.
I seem to recall that Leaf was a Tales Event Dragon that I failed to breed. Of course I’ve had many many since!
At least I didn’t get the 18 hour nymph
If I do happen to get lucky can I hatch Buttercup or do I have to leave egg on the nest?

I have never started a Tales late but I have a Penumbra and Wood Elf under construction! My question is that in 20 odd minutes Chapter 2 will start, if I start then will I have 33 hours to complete Chapters 1&2 or do I only have 24 hours to complete them.

I would also be interested to know how many red blossoms are up for grabs as I have over 6,000 Birthday Cards left in storage after the last event, so do I really need to complete Tales!

I am on the same thought process as you. Is this really worth it. The b'cards I think totalled around 6265 from the tales and the first 3 chapters listed here are the same drop numbers as the last tales. I too have over 6000 cards left over.

As far as I know, you can just complete the chapters whenever. So you can still complete Chapter 1, even if other chapters have been released. They don't expire.

I do the same thing...my problem I?m over lvl 180 & I have dupes I can?t find. My other dragon game you click on what is their codex, hit find & can get rid of the dupes you don?t need. The other thing I wish we could do is sort by type (namely the ultras) for that one quests. The other game they do one quest like every couple months, I agree the quests are hard because you don?t have time to refill your food.

S8 staff are not the kind souls who post the chapters, my dear. It is other players who are willing to spend gold to hurry through to the end who do this. As more and more people are leaving the game, we have fewer people willing to use gold to hurry and to share the information. So we are at the mercy of and indebted to the people who post this information.

You can just look at the past DT's and you'll have a pretty clear picture as to what is in store. The chapters have been pretty much consistent over time so you can use the past tales as a guide just plug in the appropriate craft and dragon names.

Yes, it has been changed. Last couple of tales have autostarted this early.

I feel extremely fortunate for any posted Chapters. That means another member was generous enuf to spend thier gold to rush thru chapters and share with us!! Kooky doesn’t spend gold to speed up, the players do. Kooky is a moderator who compiles the posting of each chapter and other info posted and puts it at the beginning. She takes what others post regarding the chapters. And, it seems that our trusty people who spend the gold to skip though the chapters have quit the game. Too bad! They were so kind to share the info.

I somehow always seem to forget what you can and can't do ahead of time. Can you send the first dragon from the spell shop to the nest before it is asked, so that it still counts? And same question for hatching the first dragon from the nest? Thanks!

Evolving ahead of time counts btw, that one i'm sure of.

Yes, it is safe to hatch and evolve any of the dragons ahead of time (Foxglove, Buttercup, Hyacinth). I have always done it and never had an issue. However, you must wait to do the breeding tasks when you are prompted to so you can't "Breed with a Mist Dragon" ahead of time.
Also, when crafting the decorations, leave it in the Spell Shop until you are prompted to place it, so for example "Start crafting a Veggie Box" in Chapter 4 but don't put it on your island until you are asked to "Craft and decorate with a Veggie Box" in Chapter 5.

Same shoe with you, but, I'm only at chp 4, so still have 2 days to try. Last event also gave up, stuck at chp 6 for 2 days, but accidentally got the common dragon(red, yellow) from a Mythic (breeding Mythic, green, purple). Luckily caught up and finished the event on time ;)

That's pretty much my results too. Tried other peoples combos as well to no avail. Looks like I will be able to save food if I can't breed this common dragon before the required chapter. I don't understand their thinking in making a roadblock, it doesn't encourage me to spend gold either.

I am so incredibly stupid - this morning I bred Foxglove with Anubis (Chapter 7, step 4) and got a 44 hour result :( While it's nice to get a Diamond fail so I can trade it for essence, the timing absolutely stinks since I need Foxglove to breed with Buttercup tomorrow :(

At level 25, I was happy to get the first free Dragon in Tales and never could I have gotten enuf food to get the second one. You can't even get your 7th farm till you are level 37. You are brave to take on the challenge, but there will be lots more. Concentrate on Bingo for a month and you will have enough boosts that you won't have to spend gold for Breeding, food, etc. Good Luck!!! Also, you are ahead of the game just by referring to the forum. Most older players are super happy to help with advice, extra Coins etc.

I don't know all of the steps because I'm into the upper levels now, but from what I remember, you probably won't need to craft the Climbing Carnations. When I was at that level, whatever that last crafting item was was given to me, so that means less quests. You will also only have to level your dragons up to (I think) level 11 instead of level 12 and 14.

Also, a tip, you can level up the dragons ahead of time. That's what I do, especially when I have to send that dragon on quests a lot. I level it up until it says "Evolve" (so either level 3, 6 or 9) and then send it out. I evolve overnight so that I have time to do quests during the day. There is no penalty for leveling up ahead of time.

I startet my 2nd game a few weeks ago. The chapters for low levels are nearly the same as for high level. The 1st dragon was to feed to lvl 11 to get the 2nd one. And you had to breed the special common dragon. The only difference I remember was planting pumpwings instead of impruberries, the same like this time. And you get the last deco as prize but - and thats stupid- after that you need to craft one material. After getting the 2nd dragon I stopped because of empty food. The 1st dragon should get to 13. For this time I'll stop too after getting Hyazinth. I hope this helps a bit.

It would be nice if the Neo Iris was even remotely iris-like. It's one of my favorite flowers, so I find the design of this dragon particularly disappointing. It looks like just a generic flower-ish dragon. Tbh, I'm not too pumped about any of the Tales dragons this time aroumd, and usually I adore the nature- and especially flower-themed dragons. Buttercup (aka Neo Citrus) it cute. I really like Warmth, so will finish the event for him. But ... meh.

I think you will still get it. I have never skipped an act but it is my understanding that paying to skip it has the same effect as completing it. You would still have to level it up to level 14 later, though, so you would need food for that if you go that far.

Oh, SNAP. I was hoping that 10 was the max level for players below L30 and that I wouldn't have to feed Foxglove beyond L10. (She ate me clean out of food at L9 and I had to struggle to raise another 10,000 fruit for her to evolve.) LOL
I guess this is as far as I'll get on my first Storybook run. Maybe I'll get the parts to craft Hyacinth, but I know I can't feed THAT one beyond juvenile stage.
Foxglove is now evolving to L10 a day late. Her chapter 8 breeding will be further held up by my first Virtue (33 hours) breeding. It sure took a KRAPPY time to show up. This has been quite the learning process, juggling this and the Adventure League Bingo. Good thing I didn't have a tournament to work on too.

I haven't bought the Noble Crystal yet either, KingSpike. It was one more building for which I could not spare the space. Foxglove is my very first dragon to reach L10!

At level 25, I was happy to get the first free Dragon in Tales and never could I have gotten enuf food to get the second one. You can't even get your 7th farm till you are level 37. You are brave to take on the challenge, but there will be lots more. Concentrate on Bingo for a month and you will have enough boosts that you won't have to spend gold for Breeding, food, etc. Good Luck!!! Also, you are ahead of the game just by referring to the forum. Most older players are super happy to help with advice, extra Coins etc.

Type "Bingo Boosts" in search bar above. There is a forum about how to the the most out of them. I found after I wasted several boosts. I would say good luck, but you are doing Everything right. You will be giving advice here in no time.

Yes, you should do, if you do use gold take screen shots of you paying gold to skip that act as a back up, them if you don?t get the dragon you will have proof for support!

Not sure if anyone else is having issues, but have been losing battles since yesterday and even now at level 12 can?t win and has made me over a day behind in this tale!

My level 9 Hyacinth beat Neo Valiant and Dahlia with 1 try each.
I spent almost 2 days trying to beat Neo Glasswing so I guess that easy battles made up for it.

There are plenty of times when people start the Tales late which means that the next event starts while they're still finishing the tales. One event doesn't cancel out the other in this instance.

Got it! Mine says 1 day and 14 hours. Chapter 10 unlocks in 14.75 hours.
So I will havr 24 hours to finish it.
I think I'll be able to finish this.

1. Foxglove has finished breeding but she can't get out of the den because stupid Virtue egg is on the nest with another 24 hours to go.
2. Hyacinth has finished crafting but she can't get out of the Spell Shop because stupid Virtue egg is on the nest with another 24 hours to go. The game won't let me put the Hyacinth egg in storage.

3. There's that one-time starter pack for $2. It would give me 100 gold, 15000 fruit and some Flower Power dragon egg.

15000 food isn't really that much in the end. I think these events usually require around 300000 food, so any bit helps but if you're way off, 15000 doesn't go very far.

Well, I managed to mess up majorly on one of my two games. I thought that I had to feed Magnolia to 14, and that took all of my food except about 10,000. I was already kicking myself for spending about 135000 food that I didn't need to, but on top of that, I apparently hadn't fed my Foxglove up to level 14 yet, so I spent 200 gold to feed him/her. I guess I could have just paid the 180 to skip, but at least this way I have a higher level dragon. Fortunately I didn't make the same mistake on my second account.

Well, darn it. Won the first fight using Hyacinth easily but then came up against some dragons that she wouldn't fight well against so used other dragons (using video speed ups). Now I'm up against a Super dragon. Hyacinth won the first battle but it rolled back and didn't count. Now I've tried twice and she's been defeated both times so forced to wait 2 hours between battles. Hoping it won't take too many tries.

Let me recommend saving your gold to buy a second nest, it's perfect for this kind of situation! It also lets you hatch more dragons which gives you more points for leaderboards and world events.

Congrats! There's nothing worse than making it to the end only to find your battles might hold you back from completing. I lucked out with easy opponents so I didn't worry this time.

I do wish that they'd have the neighbor requests in an earlier chapter since a lot of my neighbors are from different time zones. This means they often check in much later than me and sometimes I'm forced to spend gold to finish in time only to see that my neighbors did accept the request just after the event is over. Putting it in an earlier chapter would give players a bit of breathing room for the reqs and take away the unneeded stress of waiting for them to go through.

Unfortunately, other than skipping with gold or re-crafting your only real option is to put in a support ticket with s8. I say unfortunately because I'm not sure how late they stay in the office so they may not get your ticket until morning.

If it were me, I would skip with gold then finish the last chapter before submitting a ticket explaining the situation. From my past experience and posts I've read it's more likely that s8 will refund the gold spent (assuming they see the error was on their end) than they are to extend your timer. This is just my opinion of course, you have to weigh the pros and cons and decide which route is best for you and your style of playing.

Out of curiosity, did the game put the Climbing Carnations in your storage without clicking off the task or did it not complete the craft and you still have the raw materials in your storage? There were a lot of glitches today with all the maintenance and I'm wondering if your Spell Shop rolled back after you started the craft and whether they'll try to say that is a user error.

Excellent cross referencing! Don't feel alone in the egg department, I've got eggs in storage from several years ago. With the rate that they release new dragons it's nearly impossible for us to clear out our storage.

In my realm, I can either have space to put the new event dragons that we are forced to hatch or have room to place the eggs from storage. It's an easy choice because so long as I have the egg I can hatch the dragon anytime and it's not taking up real estate. But every now and then one of them is so pretty or useful that I have to rearrange everything to make room for the egg but that's thankfully few and far between anymore!

I do wish we could put any dragon egg in storage, that would be a huge help especially in DTs. With each new event I'm forced to clear a plot of land and buy a new habitat to hold that event's dragons and with this new event schedule that's a lot of work just to have room to place the new dragons! Luckily the only dragon I had trouble placing this time was Warmth but since it's getting disenchanted it won't be there for long. I've got all the other flower dragons in one habitat and they do look very lovely together. I'm sure by the end of the month I'll be sick of flower dragons but for now I'm still enjoying them but I am wondering what theme they'll be going with next month.

600? I have 1313 on one account (how did I get an odd number like that?) and 1044 on my other. I probably haven't been crafting as quickly as you have, though. I basically took the entire "Dragon Tales" event off from crafting keys so that my spell shop would be available for whatever I need to craft during the Tales.

I do believe the monthly dragon habitats that hold 2 dragons and sell for coins are at a limit of one, at least they were in the past. Sadly I can't know for sure as the rules change month to month. One month the monthly dragons have a cap of 1, the next they don't then it's back to a cap again. I've basically given up considering anything a 'known' fact in this game, lol.
