How Marble Key helps in expansion?

I am new to DS.. currently in level 86. I have expanded using mining landparts. But I am not able to understand what is the usage of Marble Key. I got couple of raw marble from breeding, which I crafted to Marble Key? But after this, what am I supposed to do with these marble Keys?

Welcome to DS & the forum!! :D

There's a new stretch of land on the far right side of the island where you started the game. Each space needs a particular number of keys to be cleared. Fortunately there's no time to wait and no foliage to clear but seeing as how each key takes 24 hours to craft and some of the space take 10, 15 or more keys it will probably take a million years for us to totally clear that island.

They are not very useful. Soon you will have 2000 of them and just stacking more...
