Add a "Dream Gate" to your story. I had the idea (perhaps not originally, dunno lol) to place a "Dream gate" to add a sense of wonder of "Where is that going to?". I also did several on my bakery story fall story. Try it, it gives you something to sit and day dream about.

Here's my haunted house! Witchy kitchen, mad scientist's lab, roomful of clowns (definitely the scariest bit!), Dracula's dining room, creature cafe (I wouldn't eat there, would you?), haunted mirror hall, ghostly conservatory (how do they play so well without real bodies?) and then a fun party at the end. Buy yourself a costume for next year in the gift store on your way out!

My fall before Holiday decor goes up. Still working on the layout. The stoves will go away after they finish then a secret goes there ;) I'm kinda pleased with my stage, looks like it is raised.. ? Hope so..

Cooking is done, the staff is getting the grounds ready for winter, putting plants to bed so they can be replanted in the spring. And of course gathering some fresh fish for dinners!

It has been a while since I last posted on a "Show Off" thread. How's everyone holding up with the new goals? It makes it so hard to redecorate, ain't it?

Anyway, thanks to the recent Halloween goals, I'd decided to jump on the bandwagon and decorate for Halloween even though I don't celebrate it. I am still amazed at how I actually finished this remodel lol (autumn didn't make it and believe me, that one took me a looooong while lol) so... here we go, hope you guys enjoy!


It's that time of the year again where all superstition comes alive~

Do you dare to eat the exotic cakes and potions concocted by... The Witchy Twins?
Do you dare to enter the Haunted Clock Tower where the bell only strikes at midnight... on the eve of Halloween?
Do you dare to walk on the path where skeleton hands will... reach out to grab and pull you under?
Do you dare to eat with demon dolls... staring into your soul?
Do you dare to enter the Monster House where kids dressed in cutesy costumes.. can never get out?

It was hardly possible. Surely I was dreaming. A moment ago, I was in a fierce snowstorm, and I saw.. No, I was imaging it. How could an old Man and Woman be standing there in the middle of all that torrent, snow flying every which way.. No, it was a mirage. That's it. That's the only explanation. But.. mirages are a trick of heat rising from the desert. And this is hardly a desert. What was that? Something on the wind.. brushed my ears.. "Welcome stranger, come inside.. rest, eat, you are most welcome.."

I took one step then another and soon I was standing in the midst of, well, a party. The snow swirled behind me and then closed off the gap I just passed through, like a curtain closing. Laughter and music filled the air. There, right there, can you see it? No? the Old Couple, smiling. I stumbled on towards two large Wooden Soldiers. Honestly, brightly colored, steadfast and true, Wooden Soldiers. Much taller than I. The cobble stone path, recently swept, led me to a smiling, much younger face. She beckoned me in, and I answered her request. As I approached the most wonderful aromas wafted past me. If this was dream, I never want to 'waken. Inside I was warmed by a cheery fire, and warm drink offered and accepted. My smiling host led me to a table, set with Stirling silver and porcelain dishes trimmed in gold. I sat and as if by magic, a sumptuous meal appeared. I stopped questioning my good fortune and ate and drank. My dinner mates looked on and drank to my health and wished me a prosperous New Year.. From the corner of my eye, I saw a man in a green cap, with a long white beard, he winked at me. I rubbed my eyes. He was gone when I opened them. I looked at my dinner companion and asked "Was that..?" But she smiled and put her finger to her lips. We continued on eating and talking. I cannot believe my good fortune, I think I would happily stay here.. Time will tell..

A secret, a journey, and a wonderful beginning...

For quite some time, Chip was content being a just another guy in high school. He excelled in sports, running, jumping, you name it. He was liked by all, but he was very quiet. What he really wanted to do was be able to talk to the girl in his class, named April. She was the school skating champion, and to say she was popular, well.. She was very popular. So much so she was pushed into talking to Chip, since her friends thought they should be homecoming King and Queen.

After much back and forth, she approached him and stuck up a conversation. April did most of the talking, and although they didn't become Homecoming King and Queen, they did become friends. And in time, a touch more then friends. April even held his hand at the movies. Chip just watched the movie, but never pulled his hand away. After a time they became a regular couple. The townsfolk smiled as they walked by, because April was usually doing the talking
while Chip hung on her every word.

Except one day when fate stepped in and they had an argument. Nothing bad, but.. still, she wanted to know about his family, where he was from, the usual things couples talk about, trying to get to know each other better. This went on for a time and one winters day Chip was driving his new car (new to him, it was more of a wreck but he loved it ) through a storm and again April was upset because Chip wouldn't say where he was from etc..

As they drove on the storm got worse and worse. April wanted to go back, it was too hard to see. Chip had no problem, he could see perfectly. April finally demanded he take her home, and he took his eyes off the road. A loud thud was heard and they were thrown forward and back. Chip had gotten out and was upset and kicked a sign post covered in snow. April got out and was looking at the sign in disbelief. "Must be an Christmas Park around here or a town, they obviously put this sign here as a joke." remarked April, Chip kicked some snow and walked past it. "Come on, let's go" he said, and started walking.

Time passed and they heard laughing and singing. The sounds grew louder and the lights grew closer. They walked into a very lively gathering where they were offered food and drink which they happily accepted. April, asked how Chip knew how to get there. Normally April was very intuitive, and clever, but this puzzled her. "I.. well, ummm, I.." He took a deep breath. "Actually his name is Chris, short for Christopher." The voice startled her and she turned around quickly. "Hello Father" said Chip. "It's good to see you son..". They hugged and April stood blinking. "April, this is my Father, Father, this is April." Continued Chip. "Pleased to meet you my Dear. Welcome to the North Pole!". April smiled and looked around. Chip, errr Chris would never say where he was from, nothing about his parents, or where he lived. It all made sense now. He could appear out of no where and vanish just as quickly. Now she knew. And she had a secret to share as well. Her mother had told her, she would marry a kind man, a giving and caring man. And they would be ever so happy. Seems Mother was right. After a time, they both took to their new roles at the Pole and started learning all they would need to know. But most importantly..

Aww TY :) It's the programmer in me, too logical. LOL The main reason for my symmetrical setup inside the restaurant is to expedite traffic and sell the fastest. Least that is the plan :)

Hello fellow decorators! Just want to share my Easter theme before I redecorate! Yes, I know this was back some time in April/May lol Been having this layout for months as I was quite happy with how it turned out. I had to rearrange the tables and chairs cuz I wasn't earning as much if I were to go the aesthetic way so.. /shrug.

Welcome one! Welcome all!

Here at Anywhere we are in the festive mood for Easter celebrations but if you do not celebrate, fret not! We have lots of other activities for you to partake with your loved ones! So let's get it!

Feeling overwhelmed by everything you're seeing? Have a seat in any table and chair of your choice to take it all in! I know the half egg shells tables and chairs look really fragile but you have nothing to worry about as they're as strong as steel! *whispers* we have pixiedust! teehee! You can also choose to dine at our exclusive VIP table* in a beautiful garden setting with twinkling fairy lights that make for such an intimate and romantic setting! Do let us know if you're planning a proposal! We're good at surprises! Not only that, you'll also get to see our little resident koala sleeping in its little home. You may take tons of pictures (strictly no flash, please!) and if you're lucky, give it a little cuddle when he's awake but be careful of its sharp claws! They will hurt you when manhandled so please be gentle with our little friend! Our staff will always be ready to assist you so you're in good hands. ;)

For this season, we have 3 different kitchens to serve you a wide variety of food in the menu but we decided to open up two. Have a peek into the Family Bear Kitchen where they get busy cooking up the most delicious porridge and the Faerie Kitchen on how our delicate pastries are made! Be sure to let Chef Baby Bear know how you like your porridge otherwise you will get them too hot or too cold!

Let's finish up the food tour before moving on, shall we? Whenever it comes to dessert, who will ever say that they're too full? Pfft! There's always room for dessert! Even if you are full and the DIY Sundae Station or Easter Cookie table spread does not appeal to you, staring at our edible Marshmallow Fountain will soon change that thought! Kindly let our friendly Ms Honey know if you wish to have a taste! She's the one in a bee costume! Unfortunately, dipping your fingers into the fountain and snitching a piece of that marshmallow is not allowed for safety and hygiene purposes. We care about you and we want you to leave with an enjoyable and fond memory, not an aching stomach!

If you're finally full to the point of exploding, have some mellow family time with your little ones in our Egg Painting session! With all kinds of colours available, paint your heart out! Make them as pretty as you can as Little Chickie is watching you! She can get a little nitpicky if you paint out of line! *snicker*

If you're not feeling up to having someone breathing down your neck, head over to our Bunny Pen and have some hoppity fun with our little friends! During feeding time, you'll get to dig up your own carrots from the carrot patch and have a little feeding sesh! Let your hearts melt at the sight of these bunnies munching with their twitchy little noses and quivering whiskers! You can take pictures but again, no flash please!

Before you leave, you can choose to take a beautiful photo (or photos!) in our Unicorn Fantasy Studio for a small fee. All proceeds will go to charity so if you wish to add more, please do! Don't forget to sign your name and leave a message at the booth!

Oh dearie me! I seem to have forgotten the Most Important Thing of all! Mr Bunny White is making a special appearance for the next couple of days! Have a little chat, tell him about your favourite chocolates, take pictures, anything you'd like but hurry! His time is limited each day and once the stopwatch rings, he's gone!

Most impressive. I also like your little detailing of the gift in his hand.

Not only that - but aside from the pumpkin king, you've managed to create some Christmas themes within the Halloween design.

Really making it a Nightmare Before Christmas.

It's not crowded (like mine always is) and it has a wide variety of items, but none of the items don't look out of place.

However I especially like your plant area, and your oven/cooking area also.

I don't know if intentional or not, but the way you have the bird (I think that's the animal) just diagonally across the Lily Pad table almost looks like it's standing on it, if that makes sense. It's almost like a forced prospective. I really like it regardless though!

I would say this is my favourite completed theme I've ever done on any game. As it's not overdone or too gaudy / flashy. It's simple, it's functional, and it's not too cluttered. I am very happy with how it turned out, and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

So, for a while now, I've been challenging myself to design and decorate my restaurant to go with whatever 15 day challenge we've been tasked with. Some have been easy to do and some have been very difficult to stick with the theme. Some of them I'm quite proud of so I decided to screen shot them and share them with you guys.

Here is my Start Learning restaurant. There's 3 classrooms with students: math, art, and chemistry. There's a school cafeteria at lunch period and a playground with children at recess. There's also a football ref watching the marching band practice on the field.
