Hey Guys,

Please hold on to your event items and follow through the goals. The counters may reset once you used them up and they wont count if you made the crafts in advance. I know we are anxious to prepare in advance after seeing the goals posted by others ahead in Post 2. But please dont mess up your event in your rush to get ahead, we dont have much time to waste to redo things.

I would advise once again that all players read the following to be clear of what to do and what not. Spending a few mins to read them will help you to avoid hiccups.

I seen a bluebird looking at Morgan's Mystery Seeds. You've got to find somewhere to prep those seeds indoors! Otherwise, you may find some of your seeds disappearing.

Mine is Messed UP I am not getting ANY drops from Deliveries (Done about 20). But I got Drops From Pigs (Some Blue Bag) and Apple Trees (Looked like the same as what the fryer gives). IF I cannot Complete this Event I am Getting rid of this app. It Really Takes all the fun out of a game when you Spend Days Trying to Complete Goals and get no drops. The last event I was able to complete was in December.

Just keep planting wheat on all your plots and sell. Only takes like 2 minutes

It's true that wheat is the fastest and easiest--and also the most in demand on farms--but it's not going to sell quickly (or, really, at all). I would suggest just growing your crops the way you always have, but just do so as frequently as possible so as not to overwhelm yourself.

Corn works well, being only 4 minutes' growing time, and it also has a lot of uses--among other things, pig feed (which we will need once again as the pigs are dropping something for the event). Potatoes are vital too since they cook the fastest in the Deep Fryer (wheat grows faster but Fried Eggs take longer than French Fries). Sugarcane takes longer but with so many crafts needing sugar, this is important too.

I admit, I was relying on a growing a lot of wheat yesterday, but only because I had a truck order of 58 biscuits to craft. Drop rate was about what I'd expect, considering the logical action would be to switch to wheat in the hopes that more frequent harvests would yield more drops.

Totally agree! I haven’t completed an event for a long while...

I just opened my farm today....harvested 60 something plots...guess how many dirt....zero...zilch...no dirt...I guess I have a clean farm;)

I?m doing wheat mostly too. I fill up all my plots. Wait until everything is ready. I usually get two to three drops this way.
Then I sell everything as low as it goes or I make a lot of cow feed or flour or bread.

Im not getting ANY dirt piles from crops! I'm harvesting and planting over and over! And nothing for 2 days now! It's ridiculous! I have never finished any event on this game!! Not without every effort possible! It's not fun to play a game that you know is impossible to complete events or challenges. It takes me months to complete levels and even longer to get enough papers to expand. I'm done putting money into this game!!! 😣

I turn in 35 plots of wheat every two minutes. That is the amount of plots I am using for wheat...why...because they are the amount in one area. I have neighbours that are using all their plots but I am doing great with 35 plots.
Yes it is a lot of work and you aren't going to make a bunch of coins but you are going to get all the dirt you can use.
Wheat is a two minute crop. I can turn in 30 collections in one hour.
I get at least ten to fifteen Dirt or MORE in that hour.
Paul__ and Scalezzzz have both stated you get dirt this way.
I fill my entire store with wheat...I use market price...this way I can do it fast.
What doesn't sell I discard not like it is a high value item.
Honestly you cannot believe the amount I sell but I AM not sure what the limit is for neighbours and I am at the limit.
You need neighbours to buy your stuff and to sell your stuff too.
I sell over half of the wheat ...am I making a bunch of coins no but I am getting dirt.
The event pet is more important to me but that is me.

Another thing I don't do the dump truck, balloon and I limit the train to doing six items for two gems.
I need my product for planes.
Again I flip through neighbours stores hourly to buy hard to make items and check paper constantly...it refreshes every five minutes. If I see ten of something I will buy and then sell off six...like purses, pillows etc. If I know odds of finding the plane order is slim and too long to make I delete it.
I need shovels and pickaxes for the mine so if I don't have silver etc I delete the plane order.
The mine, the pond and the Passion fruit all give two event items each time you get which really helps.

Wheat can also be used for making dough balls in the bait store which you need.
Flour for bread and use with bacon for pet food.
The cat is using wheat for litter...smile

Nope, dont start crafting until you get to the Goal. You can prepare the ingredients in advance.

There's an easier way, though it requires you to listen carefully and pay attention.

Once you've finished mining and are shown what you've found, you have the option to Play Again. Do so and select your tool. At that moment, listen carefully. If you hear a sound like when you've found something, then you've received a bucket. You'll also see the display at the top of the screen indicating that something was added to your Barn inventory.

You'll also hear the sound and see your inventory number change when you leave the mine...assuming your last tool found a bucket.

For example, you have good drop rates for your fryer and apple trees, mine are terrible. I get almost next to zero drop from the fryer, vines, mine, apple trees, crops etc... I'm too depressed to list them all lol

About Dirt in my farm :)

I tried plant 16 plots wheat & 16 plots corn. When I collect them together, usually I got 1 dirt. But sometimes no dirt.

And then I tried plant 54 plots with various plant, then harvesting them together. And sometimes I got 2 dirt.

The drop rate on dirt from crops is outrageously bad. I have been harvesting 60 plots constantly, as fast as they will grow for two days and I've gotten 10 dirt total. That's one dirt bucket! Which we will need MANY of to get even one parrot. This is only a 7 day event so this rate will not enable me to even come close. I was really excited for this pet, and haven't gotten the last two despite hard playing. It's pretty frustrating and demotivating. Are other players having the same issue?

After purchasing the boutique the wheel barrow and the tree because most items came so well I thought hey might actually manage to this this one. It?s now 48hrs after starting and I?ve only been given 6 bags of dirt. Never going to manage this task. I?ve even updated my phone in case was a bug issue. Every time I?ve tried a task I?ve been let down by not being able to get 1 item for it. I?m a grown up yes and I can deal with the constant disappointment. However my six year old is really excited to get the flower stand and love bird on our farm and does not find the constant battles easy to handle. When we started this we read how this was a fun family game. I don?t see why they have to make it so time consuming and the constant adds and buy diamonds 💎. Then I realise they just want to make u spend money in the game. Very satisfying and fun game my child has loved it and learned a lot oabout the world of food and farming and money but now she says she?s sad because of how tough it is to get things dangled in front temptingly that are impossible to attain.

Tip, I completed the mud bucket goal in 4 hours tops this morning on my farm, I also did my mums too as she was at work today, but hers did take longer to complete (must be different drop rates for different farms). the way I did it is very tedious and time consuming but it worked and I'm now on goal 6/8. the way I did it was
1) plant as much wheat as possible,
2) harvest all in one go - that might mean having to get rid of some stuff from the silo as I did
3) replant wheat and sell the rest in the shop - as both mine and mums only had one slot free due to other items I didn't want to discard as they are going for a lot more money, I ended up loading the wheat in, discarding and reloading wheat in until the next harvest. (I do not recommend doing this on 2 farms at same time #confusing)
4) I generally got between 1 and 3 most goes (did get nothing quite a few times) but when there was 3 goes without any I left it for a bit and planted a range of other crops and waited until they had all done to harvest them

This is how I managed to do task 4 in quite a short space of time which I was really shocked about as I've not got past task 3 on previous events
My farm must have had a higher drop rate for a while because it only took me 2.5 hours tops to do mine, but 4 to do my mums when doing the exact same thing.
I must add I did have my breakfast, get ready for the day and started uni work (but not motivated) during the day as well I have not been tied to my phone all day - although I have been lucky in that I have a day off so I can *hopefully* get through the other goals today as I'm working the rest of the week

I hope this helps people - I know its time consuming and boring but it works even if you do it half an hour here and there over the course of a day :/

The drop rate on dirt from crops is outrageously bad. I have been harvesting 60 plots constantly, as fast as they will grow for two days and I've gotten 10 dirt total. That's one dirt bucket! Which we will need MANY of to get even one parrot. This is only a 7 day event so this rate will not enable me to even come close. I was really excited for this pet, and haven't gotten the last two despite hard playing. It's pretty frustrating and demotivating. Are other players having the same issue?

Yes exactly the same problem and I am done. I stopped doing the events for this very reason...too frustrating and not fun. I thought things might be different now so I gave this event a try but it is not worth it for me. I wish everyone good luck and hope you are successful in getting the pet!

The game did not give me credit for my first mud bucketthat I made in goal 4.  drop rates are so low for crops. Tried making wheat and selling but drop rate seems extra low for wheat.
Clarification: I made the bucket when I reached goal 4. I then made it into a mystery sprout and it decremented my count as though I’d never made it. I managed to make 4 more and saved them, looking ahead to step 8.

For stage 4 of the growing pains task,make your 4 buckets of dirt, but DO NOT make them into the final ?seedling? step. It will drop your number back down. You have to have 4 buckets of dirt to complete the stage

no problem. Another tip is to make sure that you have a lot of space in your silo. I usually make like 60 slots and then plant wheat, harvest, plant again, etc and when the wheat is growing sell and discard your access.

I took the Judy challenge of planting large plots of wheat and capturing the dirt collected for each round. Here were my results:

I was planting 39 wheat for each round. As you can imagine, I had to get rid of a whole lot of wheat, putting it out to sell and just deleting them. I was very disappointed in this result. I knew I was getting very little dirt for my crops, but this was an eye-opener. Can I say how very ridiculous this is. This game is a huge disappointment over the past few events. This is simple nonsense. But of course, we could get some dirt if we want to spend $10. I don’t mind spending money on the game, I have done plenty of that to expand my farm or buy something they are selling. But for events, we should not have to spend money. Anyway, I’m going to try corn and see if I get different results.

Thanks Judy for trying to help. In spite of the fact that I’m disgusted with this game right now, I am very appreciative of you and others that try your best to help us out. You and Pookie Bear and Rynetory are always working hard to give us clues for what to do to succeed. I will let you know if this ‘other’ crop gives better results. Me too! I crafted & was so excited that I had one to go! I?ve done everything Rynetory suggested & I made them after starting goal 4! I’ve wasted items before so this time I made sure to go goal by goal so all items made would count. I’m not happy to say the least!
Also, is it ok to start working on the Parakeet Prize Checklist goal before we finish the Grow’n Pains goal 1-8?

Do make sure you craft the items after you reached it. Crafts made before you get to Goal 4 won't count. Do not use them up until you get pass the goal.

I?m on Grow ?N Pains 6/8. I?ve made the 4 required Mystery Sprouts, used them in the wheelbarrow and received 4 prizes (no parrot though). The goal (#6) still says 0 buckets have been made. I hope this is a glitch that can be fixed and I didn?t throw $15 straight down the drain.

By the way, I won?t complain as many do about having to spend money. I understand this is how Storm 8 makes money to pay for the development, talented employees and constant maintenance of the game. However, I have spent quite a bit of money on this challenge and the previous two and even with spending the money and playing all throughout each day, I was unable to win those prizes. The counter counts them in your barn... :( I will advise you to hold on to everything until you get through to the next goal.

Please hold on to your event items and follow through the goals. The counters may reset once you used them up and they wont count if you made the crafts in advance. I know we are anxious to prepare in advance after seeing the goals posted by others ahead in Post 2. But please dont mess up your event in your rush to get ahead, we dont have much time to waste to redo things.

I would advise once again that all players read the following to be clear of what to do and what not. Spending a few mins to read them will help you to avoid hiccups.

I've also had no issues with the passion fruit dropping event trowels.

So far I'm pretty lucky, I'm getting decent drops. The chocolatier is Def a challenge, but I do get drops. The dirt is the worst, but Judy's advice has been sound for me. I've been making wheat on about 35 or 37 plots, posting 10,discarding,trying all over again. I get 0 sometimes, but I also get 3 sometimes. Average is 1 or 2,and it goes quickly if u do it that way cuz it's so quick to grow. And there's zero risk in discarding it cuz its the foundational crop and coats zero to make. Literally. So whether u sell it dirt cheap (see what I did there?) or just dump it, it's a win, as ur end goal here is the dirt.

I got thru 4, 5, and 6 really quick. Crossing my fingers for 7.

The key is to keep making wheat and when it is growing SELL the extra wheat. You will eventually get dirt.

This does not work for everyone. I planted 390 plots of wheat and got 5 dirt. That took time of just sitting on my farm and continually planting, harvesting, collecting and selling to get just 5 dirt. So, I switched to corn...no better results. So, this does not work for farms where the drop rate is abysmal no matter how much you plant. Just letting you all know...

If the drop continues like this, I’ll never finish. But maybe I can get a few done to collect a couple of items at least.

All I can say is clear out all of your plots and keep planting wheat,post to sell and discard discard discard. I have gotten a ton of dirt by repeating this process over and over many times. It takes a bit of patience though.

I accidentally put up 8 trowels and 2 dirt buckets for sale that haven’t sold and can’t get them back :( :(. I’m not sure where to post a suggestion for this option in the shop.

To the Boutique and click on each recipe because two are really close to same colour the purples.
I thought mine weren't showing and it was wrong ones.
I seen by clicking on each recipe.

I think ones from Deep Fryer and apples both purplish.

A suggestion for those who have expanded to the Balloon Dock...

If Mr. Merriweather asks for a short-growing crop (wheat or corn aren't likely, but maybe flax, tomatoes, potatoes, sugarcane, or peppers), plant as many of those as you can afford to (you'll likely need to save some plots for ongoing requirement). You have nearly 4 hours, so depending on what he asks for, you can perhaps give 2 of everything else, then flood him with the extra crops you've been growing. I'm doing that now with potatoes.

It may be time-consuming and take longer overall to get dirt, but on the other hand I don't need to do the harvest-plant-sell-discard cycle over and over again (within reason; I do have to sell to Mr. Merriweather intermittently because my silo is already pretty full) and I do get paid for my crops. Potatoes are 6 coins per, so it isn't a lot, but I can send him 50 or so all at once.

Naturally, it won't always be that effective since it is luck-of-the-draw what he asks for...but it might be something to keep in mind, for future events if nothing else.

Have you tried growing all wheat.
I did it in 60 plots every two minutes
Filled my store what didn't sell in two minutes was discarded and store refilled
You sit and do this for say 20 or 30 minutes
You will get Dirt
Sometimes zero and I have gotten up to three Dirt

Special Event items like in this event should not count towards the count in the barn then, you would have to have at least 100-200 item space if you should not craft items in advance.

Also I wish there is one even WITHOUT bugs in it I am on goal 4 and made 4 dirt buckets non show up ... but the Gnome event is still in my TO DO list Mr. Gnome and Ms. Gnome.

Two questions:

1. When you leave the game, do you close the app completely? If not, there may be synchronization problems when you return to the game. Try leaving the game without starting more dirt buckets, close the app completely, then open the app again and start the dirt buckets. See if that changes anything.

2. Are you using the dirt buckets as they are completed to make the final stage recipe for the Mystery Sprouts? If you use them before you finish the goal, they disappear and your progress returns to 0. If this is the case, avoid making the Mystery Sprout recipe until after you have finished making all the dirt buckets.

A tip from Rynetory2 is to always visit a neighbor before you leave the game to make sure it saves.

I'm happy today! I'm still on Goal 8, and after flowering the 14th wheelbarrow, I got the Green Parakeet. WOW! Thank you Storm8!
So now I will grow wheat again to collect more dirt & to finish Goal 8 (9 more flowering wheelbarrow). Keep fighting guys! I'm sure this goal is able to finish (I'm not using any gems).

I posted a thread in the Bugs and & Issues forum about my Green Parakeet having text on the back of its tile that is exactly the same as that of the Pink Lovebird currently in the Market. I'm just wondering, if anyone has completed Goal 8 and received the Blue Parakeet, does it have the same text as the White Lovebird, or does it say "Blue Parakeet" on it?

Is anyone else having trouble getting past level 4 of 8? The game won?t save my buckets. I?ve made 7 buckets and the game won?t save them. I only needed 4 buckets to move on to level 5. There is a huge bug in this game so it looks like another challenge I have to pass on. :(

You need to make all 4 buckets and not use those buckets until the goal is done.
Using the bucket removes it from the four for the goal.
See post 1 of this thread for information pertaining to goal 4.

I guess this differs per farm. I get trowels each time I harvest. I'm on 8/8 now and only need fertilizers from pigs to complete my last mystery sprout so I'm basically just discarding my trowels and other drops.

They don’t seem to want to listen to us. It’s all about the mighty dollar. I end up sleep deprived, migraines for what?! I have to give my head a shake. They don’t care either. I just want to play get the prizes and pay for what I want. But not paying anymore.

The key to getting the dirt is to harvest wheat continuously and when it is growing sell it. Not sure why people are so upset about the crops. I mean yes, the drops are rare but it is super easy to plant wheat and it grows fast. You can do like 50 crops In a minute and a half... and the trowels also aren’t that rare for me...

I think that this event was easy compared to the other luck events. We still have 4 more days. If you are having trouble with disappearing items visit a neighbor before you leave the game to force save. It is probably your internet causing the issue because am not having trouble with items disappearing so perhaps try to restart the router. If the internet is good and you force save and the issue is still going on make a bug report.

I?m actually really happy with this event. We get two pets and unlike the other type of luck events we don?t have to give any items and all the items are unlocked from day 1 too. This is my favorite type of event tbh. Even if you don?t win the pets you get cool decorations from just doing the day to day farm activities.

Mine were not showing up towards the count, so I have gone ahead and put them in the wheelbarrow. Very frustrating. I can relate Kit.

I'm in shock! On my 11th wheelbarrow I got the green parakeet ... no gems used. Wasn't expecting that. I may even get the blue parakeet if I can do all 23 wheelbarrows. If that happens; I should buy a lottery ticket! Thanks to all who have posted their tips on how to succeed in this quest.

Are you putting them in the wheelbarrow?

I had trouble with the make 4 dirt bucket goal until I figured it out you have to make the four dirt buckets first before you make the nutrients bucket then the goal will check it self off for the dirt buckets then you do the next step. Hope this helps also press on the wheel barrel and see if there?s any completed buckets there

Plant, harvest, sell, discard, lather, rinse, repeat. Yes, it's time consuming g, but... Is it? It takes no time at all for the wheat to grow, and it costs literally nothing. U lose zero coins by discarding it. I sell mine for cheap, while I'm discarding, in case it sells while I'm doing it. I get 10 dirt in an hour easily. I mean, unlike the gnomes and the beaver, this event is absolutely doable with this workaround.

The lack of trowels is definitely itely a problem. I've had one or two per harvest more or less, but I've had zero today, so I'll be in the same boat. No workaround for that like there is for wheat. D'oh.

It feels so wrong, but it looks like I'm going to have to follow everyone else's example and discard wheat and such from my shop.

In all the time that I've been playing, I have never once discarded anything...somehow I always managed to work around the lack of capacity. Unfortunately, with dirt being so difficult to come by, I may have no choice anymore.

Discarding harvested food...I know it's virtual and just a game, but it just doesn't sit well with me...

Ion goal 6/8 I have accidentally pressed diamond button and gave away 200 diamonds while I was Needed 4 Plant nutrients and all of them were in process in the boutique. Is possible to reverse it again? Any help?
