Special Notes for this event:
* You can purchase the Woodland Rider for 400 gems in the Town Square and will become a permanent citizen in your kingdom.

* The Woodland Rider will boost event drops of Woodland Nectar, Mossy Wood, Mossy Ore, Woodland Fur.

* Collect all Woodland Wagon crafts by 4/12 at 6pm PT.

Poll created. I hope it covers off on questions raised throughout the event... open for 4 days. You may need to log in and change to Full Site to see the poll. (you can always tell if there is a poll on a thread as the icon changes in the name of the thread.)

Good luck to those still going. There was a splash screen in game today and it said:

Complete the event by 4/11 6PM PT. The knight has a chance to drop the displayed items (hearty feast, simple feast, light armor, longswords and mithril).

* You will spawn Glimmer Golems and Dire Boars when chopping rock outcroppings!! They aren't goal related, just annoying as usual! lol

* Remember you can use the Elven FAST WORKER boost to speed up your Workshops if you want to.

You may see different requirements from other players for some tasks, this is not a bug in the game. Drops after getting the new citizen are boosted, but they do not become 100% drops.

Apparently the Woodland Rider Walker is meant to help with the drops for the event.

43335

I haven't started yet so I'm not sure if the drop rates are low enough to actually need the boost. Also, I'm holding out until someone can report in if it's boosts are worth the 400 gems. To me it seems to be an equivalent to the token drop statues from the monster hunts that sell for 400 gems but maybe I'm wrong and it's more useful?

Limit 6 of the flowers.

OMG...

6 items with a 20% chance to drop a item... every 1.5hrs...

HOW ABOUT 2 Flowers that GUARANTEE a drop of the item every 2 hours.

IF you really need it to deplete my energy, make each click subtract 10 energy.

Or how bout we just set the max turns per day to like 10. That could be FUn!

... stop with the wasting of the energy and do better math ahead of the event instead of relying on players to do math for you during an active event that will be changed during the event.

I need to use the word event one more time.

Be careful buying the wooden gate! I accidentally touched the wrought solar arch, which was right next to it & didn't notice it was the wrong one till I placed it. Then I realized I had just spent 20 gems!

Oh dear, that doesn't look promising. I hate to sound negative, but it seems like too much of a coincidence that they're suddenly not giving us guaranteed drops from flowers that have always been guarenteed but they are offering the Rider (for 400 gems) that boosts the drops.

Not to beat a dead horse buuuuut....After a few hours of playing this event, I've chopped several of the Trees/Rocks and my numbers have held steady. I did get a few Dire Boars from the rocks so I'm parking a monster until the goal for the event monster pops.

Every 10 hits of the Mossy Oak yields anywhere from 10-13 Mossy Wood (Those numbers look pretty okay to me)

10 hits of the Rocks gave 10-13 Mossy Ore. (Again, not bad as far as event drops go)

First collection of the Woodland Blooms gave me 4/6 Nectar and the second yielded 6/6. I see this may the bottleneck from others' reports.

My long-winded point is this: these numbers aren't looking bad, when compared with past event drop rates. So where is my incentive to purchase this walker that's meant to increase drops that are already decent? Especially if we keep in mind that every other event-only item we've had for 400 gems goes down to 200 gems toward the back half of the event.

The only way I can see the purchase being worth it is if we find out that he at least doubles every event drop as that would essentially be doubling our energy... But I can't see S8 making any purchase have definite results as everything else in the game is random. Am I missing something? Is there a way of looking at this where it's not a huge risk to purchase the event walker?

For the time being I'm holding off on buying it to see if I can do without. 400gems is quite alot for any character or building, specially when after event is useless.
We already have to store walkers and floaters if we have them all.

I'm sure many will fall into the trap of tapping thinking they are spending Crowns as it's placed in the Town House where we have always used Crowns.. before realizing it's Gems!

Can you check the goals on page 1 - do you think you can be on goal 7 and not goal 6? I don't have the specifics of that goal as yet in my game. I'm close though!

my own question though: where do the woodland bears spawn from? (apart from the trap)??

Good point. If they always drop what's listed in the first post, may be worth attempting to craft (at least for me).

Has anyone bought the fun pack with 15 minute unlimited energy? Seems previous events it was glitchy.

The game has been very glitchy for me all afternoon and evening. There have often been times where it'd glitch 3-4 yes iv a row. I generally take advantage of the unlimited energy packs as I'm always inpatient and it allows me to restock on some things. I just got one because I had a lot to catch up on collecting. For me it was just as glitchy either way. I've done it for past events. Maybe slightly glitchy, but I think this is the worst it has been (that I've seen), but I haven't noticed a correlation with the energy packs.

ok, just arrived at goal 6 and mine says I need to make another 2 beams, as it's 1/3 beams and blocks each and the tower needs 3 of each to build. The screen shot I've seen of this goal from another player off line is 2. I'll report it...

* Make woodland blocks 1/2 GO (skip 20 gems)
* Make woodland beams 1/2 GO (skip 20 gems)
* Build a Woodland Tower 0/2 BUILD | 2 woodland blocks, 2 woodland beams

My game has this info:
Goal 6:
* Make woodland blocks 1/3 GO (skip 40 gems)
* Make woodland beams 1/3 GO (skip 40 gems)
* Build a Woodland Tower 0/2 BUILD | 3 woodland blocks, 3 woodland beams

Looks like game level is impacting goal requirements... I'll make a note. Perhaps it's not a bug after all.

OK, looked at the pics again. So we are chopping trees and rocks at the same time for something that looks like a wood cow and a wood bear, and a thing with a skull face? Which will drop what after the event? Wood? Milk? Wood and milk? A sword and milk? I’m tired of endless chopping for same old same old dressed up animals.

Goal 7:
Search a sparkling mine
(This will most likely spawn a woodland bear - 15 hits, Once the bear is defeated you will receive a woodland fang)

Goal 8:
Fight off the Woodland Bear
Find a Woodland Fang (reward for fighting off the Woodland Bear)
Forge 4 Woodland Shields - (make in workshop, 2 hours, each shield requires 2 woodland fang, 3 woodland beam and 3 woodland block)

*I also spawned a woodland bear at a sawmill

Can you check the goals on page 1 - do you think you can be on goal 7 and not goal 6? I don't have the specifics of that goal as yet in my game. I'm close though!

my own question though: where do the woodland bears spawn from? (apart from the trap)??
I just got my first woodland bear from a sawmill. This is after a full round of collections from my sparkling mines and sawmills that didn?t bring a single one.

So I guess it was only Goal 6 that had that weird, random variation???

Woodland Bears are 15HP but only need 10 hits really and have been giving back 2-4 energy which seems pretty on par with event animals. I'm hoping that the Mills and Mines aren't the only places to spawn the bears; maybe the Woodland Towers or the Mossy Oaks will spawn some too...but I'm not holding my breath.

C'mon S8 why do we have to try to figure out what causes your bug each time.

This is the moment where you write on the forum - or even better: on a game pop-up - "we have identified a bug causing goal 6 not to be the same for all. We are looking into it, and you will receive an update in max 4 hours". If you have not solved it in 4 hours, you write this in a new update and so on, with an estimate when you expect it to be solved. Once you have solved the bug, you clearly explain how it will effect players. It's not that difficult, very human in fact: Communication creates understanding, understanding creates forgiveness. Good for game economy :rolleyes:

So some people need 4 blocks total and 4 beams total, while others need 6 blocks total and 6 beams total.

Definitely capped at 6 for me. I have completely chopped 1 + 2 unchopped placed on the board + 3 in storathat juge = 6

Well that just sucks for me! :( Maybe it is because I am one of those who require "2" of each item in goal 6?

I also carefully recounted and I could only account for 5. -- 4 on board (1 of them partially chopped) + 1 in storage (which was likely my second tree, which I stored before buying the rest - I hope that didn't do me in). Although I saw at least one other person said they capped at 5 as well.

Amarice
03-30-18, 06:14 AM
I capped at 7 or so? Maybe it is a per day thing? I had chopped 2 yesterday and put another 2 in my inventory. Then today I chopped one and put 4 more in my inventory.

I do not know the exact numbers anymore but it was at least more than 5 over the 2 days. But today I am now definately "out" of being able to buy them.

butterfly_25

Not device related. I have 2 android devices both level 50 and one account is requiring the 3 the other only 2.

Definitely confusing then!

As I stated; my goal 6 is

Make woodland blocks /2
Make woodland beams /2
Build a Woodland Tower /2 (requires 2 woodland blocks + 2 woodland beams each)

I am crafting my first tower and I have 1 woodland beam left for materials.
Task 1 & 2 above are now checked off and the tower task says 0/2.
So I have only made 3 beams and 2 blocks in total.

I have been level 50 for almost 4 years and started out on the ipad, which is still installed but not used. Then I used ipad + android when they added CS to android.
For awhile now I've only been playing on android.

I don't understand why level 50 players are seeing different requirements AND getting a different cap on trees.

Thanks for the heads up! Either this is true, or they have fixed the max on my account. I just checked my featured tab and saw that it went back to 8 pages (it goes to 7 when the tree disappears). I went to the end and lo and behold - the tree was there!

Now, I was only allowed to buy one, lol. But now I have purchased 6 like most people were able to. I guess we will have to check to see if it reappears again tomorrow! Otherwise, probably just a fix for me.

Goal 6
Make 2 blocks

Build two towers (2 blocks/2 beams each)

I believe only 5 trees can be owned at a time.

Just as other items with caps, the limit of 5 means we can have 5 trees at a time, either in storage, on the board or in combination. As soon one or more are chopped, the ability to purchase them is restored. But we can only own 5 trees at a time.

*towers are 1x1, have 4 hour timers, and dropped 300 coins each with no black banner. Tower max is currently two since the craft disappeared after crafting the 2nd one.

I just finished browsing through the forums in general... S8 also had a Going Gnome event for ... I think it was Farm Story 2 ... I think they are now naming their events the same thing across their multiple formats which is causing confusion among the programmers which is resulting in things like "wood" coming from Mines and continued inconsistencies among individual goals.

BUt what do I know. I'm the one abusing myself with a game instead of relaxing with a game.

Find woodland fang (1) skip 20
Forge woodland shield (4) skip 240 (note it says forge but actually make in workshop. Another error!)

For me, the shields require 3 woodland beams, 3 woodland blocks and 2 woodland fangs. Curious to see if this one is the same for everyone. Goal 7, checking the sparkling mine didn?t spawn a bear for me either, but the second mine did. Try the sawmills for bears also. I am averaging about a 50% spawn rate from both mines and sawmills so far. Hoping that stays the same or improves. The nectar is my bottleneck with their poor drop rate and awkward 1 1/2 hour timer. :-/

Even with him on the board I haven?t noticed that huge of a difference. I had a 100% drop rate for nectar one time and the rest have been 50%.

I’ve only gotten one golem so far and, unfortunately it was a male. So since my rock outcroppings are infested with dire boars, I will be parking a woodland bear (or something) while chopping rocks and wait for a monster hunt to get the last 8 golem milk I need for the craft.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have seen it asked a few times, but no real answer.....I too am wondering …… What exactly are we working toward here? Is the reward just the ability to craft the creatures in the woodland wagon? If so, why? :confused: Any guesses on what, if anything, they will drop? This whole thing sort of reminds me of the toadstool warriors and those mainly drop items needed to build toadstool skins for buildings. Makes me wonder if we will be getting woodland skins eventually.
So WHY do I want Dire Boars and glimmer golems? Do they have a purpose in this event? In fact, what is the overall purpose of this event? I just find it odd that the actual company can't make this clear at the start. Why do I want these woodland dudes anyway?
I do strongly appreciate that the tree we need comes already grown and has so many chops needed as well as equal drop/chops going on. Makes chopping the trees less of an energy waster. Same for the rock chopping. 1 to 1 is a major improvement over random. I hate those darn flowers though. Out of six, my max collection has been two saps. One round I got zero drops.
OMG...
6 items with a 20% chance to drop a item... every 1.5hrs...
HOW ABOUT 2 Flowers that GUARANTEE a drop of the item every 2 hours.
IF you really need it to deplete my energy, make each click subtract 10 energy.
Or how bout we just set the max turns per day to like 10. That could be FUn!
... stop with the wasting of the energy and do better math ahead of the event instead of relying on players to do math for you during an active event that will be changed during the event.
I need to use the word event one more time.
Kinda what I'm wondering. Came in a little later than usual & I am not sure what I'm actually working toward. Def not spending 400 gems (esp since purchasing through the Town Square made me think that it would be Crowns, & how cool it was that I hadn't already spent those on Maya yet!) when I don't even know if I want more of those warriors (& I don't know what if anything they drop).
Aw man, I didn't realize that the Woodland Tower was capped at 2 I was planning on crafting 4 altogether. I really hope that they plan on having them available either for purchase in the Market or in the Workshop to craft more later in the goals. The way I always set my realm up is by using 4 towers per area and if I only have 2 then I'll have to really think on how to use them, if I use them.
As for the Woodland Tower craft, I definitely only needed 2 Woodland Beam and 2 Woodland Blocks to craft them. My Mossy Oak cap is also at 5 not 6 like some others. I'm offering up no ideas on the reasoning for the differences, it's baffling and unless it's a level differential then I think everything should be standardized in events...Isn't that how it's always been?
Usually reading the forum helps people better prepare for future goals but it seems we're causing confusion more than anything with these last two events, lol. You know what they say about good intentions....
The short answer as to the purpose of the boars and golems is to make us burn energy. ;)
As for the purpose of the event and whether I want the woodland creatures.....I am wondering the exact same things. :confused:
I agree about the tower. I only checked them twice, just to make sure there were no drops and hoping they might spawn the woodland bears. As is, they just appear to be deco with a timer, unless they will have a purpose later. (I suspect they might since they have limited the ability to craft. However, every time I think I have a handle on what S8 is up to, I end up being wrong. Shrugs.)
Dear Miss Manners,
The burping thing is a big turn off for me too. Silly and childish. As for the glimmer golems, same also. I managed to get one male (no milk) and quickly grew tried of the boars, so I?ll wait for the next hunt.
The varied requirements is a curious decision. I can only believe that ultimately all players use the same energy, resources, etc. in the end or there would be an outcry of, “That’s not fair.” And that really would be unjust.
At a first glance, it would seem that the choice to vary requirements would be an attempt to disempower the forum, right? Coming here at the start of an event often makes it possible for me to finish an event, something that is increasingly difficult to do. I often don’t have the time required to chop, collect, or craft all things necessary to make it to the last goal, and inevitably I have to spend gems.
I even stockpiled energy for the first few days of the week in the hope of helping myself. I was up to 250 energy on Thursday morning and down to zero by this afternoon.
I’m also unclear what the end goal is.
I'm also interested in hearing why they've decided to suddenly randomize the goal requirements for this event. I'm worried that since I was one of the people that only needed two of each item to build my towers that in a later goal my requirements will be higher. Actually, it's just worrying in general to learn that goals are no longer regulated.
I understand different requirements for higher and lower level players, but why the disparity between players who are otherwise on equal footing?
As a level 50 player, I suppose I should be grateful that I only had to craft 2 blocks and beams per tower this time, but I will not be happy if that means I will end up with a harder task than equal level players later on.
Can we please get more clarification as to why this is being done? I would hate to think it has anything to do with trying to cause confusion or to hinder the use of the forum to compare notes. If the goal is to alienate long time players, then kudos! I think it’s working.
And also, can we get some kind of an idea as to what the end goal or end result of this quest is supposed to be?
Waiting for that to get to level 7 which no info seems to be there for that yet. Also wondering why the disparity in this. S8- whatsssss up?
Guys, learn from my mistake please! I never had unlimited energy before but somehow I thought that there would be infinity sign or something and the energy count would stay on 40 and orange. Well... after completeing the middle goal my energy refilled back up to 40 and when I started using it it was going down so I was so confused, was it just a refill? I thought maybe when I complete the last part I will get the 10 mins unlimited energy so I quickly did, it was easy. Again my energy refilled but started going down once I started using it. I came here to write a confused comment but checked back with my game for a second and energy was full again after I used it so... after you use it will keep refilling for 10 mins. Use it all quickly than wait few seconds and it will be full again. Use quick collect, I don’t know about android but on iPhone and iPads you just need to swipe up than back down and all the items you have tapped will collect instantly. Even tho I lost a lot of time I collected my whole kingdom, I chopped many rock outcroppings and mossy oaks I have over 500 each of mossy wood and mossy ore. I have also chopped down all my ocean reefs and blue anemones I have hoarded over time. It was great =D
SpiritWind even tho you have 300 energy collected I think the unlimited is worth it. I don’t have to chop trees or rocks for the rest of the event =)
Holy cow!!!! This was WAY more efficient than any unlimited energy pack ive bought in the past!! It auto-starts when you complete to goal... fills your energy to 40 and then refills to 40 if you hit zero within the 10 minutes. So I queued a bunch of stuff, did a quick collect, and started over. I cleared my whole kingdom, all my fields, and I have over 850 each of the event related items. Amazing!!!
Honestly prob more than ill need but i ran out of stuff to do lol
Wow! Just WOW!! That’s two major slaps to all of the loyal CS players that S8 has delivered in just a few hours.
FIRST - We get an in your face reply about the different requirements for different players. Kind of a “We know we aren’t treating our customers equally. So what! What are you going to do about it?” reply.
SECOND - A blatant attempt to steal the energy it’s players (CUSTOMERS) have stored by sneaking in a task that is nearly impossible not to complete. GUESS WHAT S8 - We (YOUR CUSTOMERS) can lay down our electronic devices and just spend this weekend catching up with friends and family.
Enough already. It’s time for S8 to remember THEY NEED US. WE DO NOT NEED THEM!!!
It takes a lot to raise my dander, but Dear S8 you have pushed me over the line. I’m off to enjoy my weekend without worrying about this irritating, insignificant GAME that used to be a lot of fun. See you Monday neighbors.
After you complete the first 10 min unlimited goal, you get another opportunity to earn ANOTHER 10 min of unlimited energy!
8 hrs to complete. You have to fight 4 monsters, tend animals, and collect crops. (Idk how many though b/c it auto filled when I cleared my kingdom)
Thanks for clarifying! Probably don?t have time to complete because they only give you 8 hours and my workshops are already going. Oh- and I need to sleep at some point.
I already had kitchens,potion shops and magic forges with completed crafts in them. When the goal came up I collected and it counted.
From what I remember I don't think the goal wording was pertaining just to workshops.
I guess I'm either going to have to burn through the trees and rocks to deplete my energy or lose it. It's that or let the goal expire and not collect more than 4 crafts till the offer expires. Not playing for 8 hours now brings me to 8pm tonight so I'll lose most of the day. #heartbroken
I completed all of the Weekend Warrior goals and did not lose my 460 stored energy. However, like others I had to reboot my game. As soon as I finished the goal and the unlimited energy started I restarted my game and it had the unlimited energy with the 10 minute timer. I lost about 30 seconds doing that. When the 10 minutes expired my energy total was exactly the same as just before the goal started.
This was my experience. I certainly dont want anyone to lose stored energy but I didnt.
Guys, learn from my mistake please! I never had unlimited energy before but somehow I thought that there would be infinity sign or something and the energy count would stay on 40 and orange. Well... after completeing the middle goal my energy refilled back up to 40 and when I started using it it was going down so I was so confused, was it just a refill? I thought maybe when I complete the last part I will get the 10 mins unlimited energy so I quickly did, it was easy. Again my energy refilled but started going down once I started using it. I came here to write a confused comment but checked back with my game for a second and energy was full again after I used it so... after you use it will keep refilling for 10 mins. Use it all quickly than wait few seconds and it will be full again. Use quick collect, I don?t know about android but on iPhone and iPads you just need to swipe up than back down and all the items you have tapped will collect instantly. Even tho I lost a lot of time I collected my whole kingdom, I chopped many rock outcroppings and mossy oaks I have over 500 each of mossy wood and mossy ore. I have also chopped down all my ocean reefs and blue anemones I have hoarded over time. It was great =D
SpiritWind even tho you have 300 energy collected I think the unlimited is worth it. I don?t have to chop trees or rocks for the rest of the event =)
I lost my first 10 minutes of unlimited energy reward as I didn't understand what S8 was doing. I have done the unlimited energy packs before - the energy bar goes to full with a 15 minute timer underneath it. I expected the same thing only with 10 minutes instead of 15. To my surprise, I saw the energy bar at 40 with the normal timer (I depleted my energy to 0), not a 10 minute timer underneath, and a new goal pop up listing a 10 minute reward pack. I was VERY confused and could only assume I needed to finish one more step of collecting 10 crops, 10 animals and 4 monsters (I think those are the correct tasks). So then I got the unlimited rewards and the same thing happened - 40 energy and no timer. It wasn't until a few minutes in I realized S8 changed the way they did the energy pack.
Bummed, a 10 minute energy pack lost. 🙁
I understand different requirements for higher and lower level players, but why the disparity between players who are otherwise on equal footing?
As a level 50 player, I suppose I should be grateful that I only had to craft 2 blocks and beams per tower this time, but I will not be happy if that means I will end up with a harder task than equal level players later on.
Can we please get more clarification as to why this is being done? I would hate to think it has anything to do with trying to cause confusion or to hinder the use of the forum to compare notes. If the goal is to alienate long time players, then kudos! I think it?s working.
And also, can we get some kind of an idea as to what the end goal or end result of this quest is supposed to be?
Edit? Wow, so many of us on the same page! A lot happened while I was typing. Lol!
All of this makes me quite sad really. I wasn?t thrilled about this timed event to start with. Especially as it?s not very springy or easter like. But I was plugging along. And I even bought the walker because I like walkers. But now I feel like since I have chosen to invest real money into this game over the years, S8 is now punishing me as a result by making my goals harder than others that are also level 50. I was just about to spend my weekly budget on gems but if this is the way things are going to start happening, I will reserve that for my book budget instead. Shame S8.
Goal 9: Recruit 2 mothraki warriors, which means you will need 8 shields total. Whoops - or at least I do, since S8 isn't keeping the goals consistent for all (higher level) players, this may not be what others need?!?
Ahh, yes. Very happy with the Weekend Warrior challenge. Makes up for all the shenanigans that happened with the pastel event.
I'm not sure how it worked fr everyone else, but my "unlimited" energy worked kinda like 40 energy every 2 minutes. I used up the energy more than once and had to wait for it to be refilled. But still, that was awesome.
Is anyone having problems at Goal 6? It keeps resetting my Woodland Blocks and Beams to 0/3 when I've clearly built a Woodland Tower and am building a second one right now. I can't progress if the game keeps resetting my values to 0 and I don't have a ton of items/creatures to generate free energy. Playing on Android, 2.1.0.1 level 26.
That was a great idea but a bit confusing. I kept randomly jumping back up to 40 after a few seconds but I didn?t know when or how many more times. The ?unlimited? word only showed up when it was down to less than 3 and change at which point it really was straight unlimited.
You may see different requirements from other players for some tasks, this is not a bug in the game.
Performing psychological experiments on your customers without their informed consent is highly unethical.
Regarding the unlimited energy, mine didn't start properly, and initially it was using up my banked energy. I had to force close and reopen to get the timer to start properly. There was 1.5 minutes wasted while waiting to reopen. Then the game was lagging and slow. But I did get three of the big trees chopped along with several rock outcroppings. Once the timer ran out, another game restart brought back my banked energy.
It?s when you swipe up to pull out the menu that has the brightness, volume controls, camera, Flashlight and all that. Also instead of swiping back down it might be easier to just tap in a neutral area, that makes it goes back down on its own. That triggers auto collect for me. I think your home button would thank you if you switched your method lol =)
I was a lil sad about losing the first unlimited energy pack but after I caught on to the second one and collected from everything and chopped down so many things I don?t know what I would have done with another pack.
I think it would be great if they were in crates that you could activate whenever you want, like the regular energy crates. Even 1 min unlimited energy crates that you could chop down whenever you want would be great.
I felt the same way. I took a photo of my stored energy then took the plunge. I got my original stored energy back also. Through out the unlimited energy time I had numerous resets but ended up ahead of where I started with regards to materials. Not as successful as some but glad I did it.
Ok well that was a horrible experience for me. My game crashed 4 times for the first pass and i got about 100 mossy ore all up. Lost everything else. The second time I also had to force close to get the unlimited offer and so I let my ruler just collect by herself. My game rolled back 3 times during the 10 mins so I ended up losing several mins again. At the end of it I got 220 mossy ore and about 270 mossy wood. Everything else rolled back including 3 of the trees and 6 more rocks, crops and all the mermaid area items.
Would I do it again? No, but perhaps my expectations weren't realistic. I am very happy others found the experience worthwhile. And yes my stored energy returned after force closing yet again.
I lost at least 5 min of the 10 min of unlimited energy while the game rebooted twice. Even though I was able to chop down a couple of trees and rock outcroppings and used quick collect, there were 2 rocks that I cleared 3 times each, then moved on, only to find out that when it was all over I had a boar and the rocks were still there. The game kept freezing, too. I'm disappointed as I should have had more things cleared. Then when the time was up, it only gave me 20 energy and didn't count the tree that I cleared and used quick collect on.
AnnirasSweets
03-30-18, 08:54 PM
Ok, I did the unlimited goal and I managed to clear my board, get 794 mossy ore, 867 mossy wood and 5 golden nuggets, and got to keep all my stored energy...not too shabby.
That said, it doesn't mean I'm going to magically forget all the things I'm not pleased with in this event: such as the lowered nectar drops that I think are meant to push us to purchase the Rider, the random goal changes for some of us, etc.
So to conclude, thanks for the free energy S8 but you still need to work on fixing the actual game issues instead of trying to distract us with shiny presents.
Perhaps our varied requirements have to do with our xp level rather than our actual game level. Many of us are at level 50 because that is where it is capped, but yet would be much higher otherwise.
I?ve been wondering about that as I have been playing since Sept?12, so would be way above by now. Wish they would increase levels.
I agree with all you said. After my earlier rant, so many players reported they had kept their stored energy that I decided to take the plunge. Took a screen shot for proof of energy stored, closed my eyes and started tapping preset rocks and trees like a madwoman. I am so happy to say i did not have even one glitch and was able to max out on both mossy ore and mossy wood. I even had time to tap on every animal, every crop and every building on my board.
Kudos S8. I am now eating crow and singing the praises of this part of the event. Thanks for the energy, but please, please get your act together.
I would like to congratulate the graphic art department. With a couple of notable exceptions in the past (ahem, cross eyed fairy), you guys rock! As a retired computer graphic artist, I want you to know how much I admire your work.
They're unrelated. With the bundle of unlimited energy, it has always basically wiped your existing balance and for x amount of time given you the ability to expend energy whereever you wanted to. The timed goal available for a few more hours still, has 2 offers of 10 minute unlimited energy and will keep your existing balance of energy once the timer expires. I did have to force close for the screen to come up. The area where your energy level is removed and it has the words UNLIMITED ENERGY with a countdown clock.
The goal unlimited energy starts as soon as you finish the related goal. You'll still need to sit through dialogue and congrats screens which eat into your time. I didn't like that at all. Hope that helps! :)
