That's the worst! The glitches during the tourneys do seem to be getting worse, at least on my island. It happens to so many of us and in the same situations that I refuse to believe it's our devices. I hope you have better luck the rest of the tourney.

I'm off to fight Dozer....again. I beat him the first time but when I came back an hour later there he is waiting for me. Sigh. Good thing we have plenty of time for this one, I think we'll need it!

I already had 2 glitches so far.. Beat Dawn with marshmallow, only to find him still there an hour later...I can't remember the other dragon, but I definitely know it's 2 rounds to had to repeat. It's a major issue, especially knowing you could be a lot further with the tournament due to these glitches..smh.. hope the rest of the tourney goes smoothly for you as well as everyone else...

I don't understand why these tournaments are so inconsistent. I have lost to every dragon I've battled at least once so I'm only up to round six. I have multiple dragons at level 14 and 15 so it's not that I'm new to this.

Use your lower level dragons to start with, I find that helps, normally I save my higher levels to the last quarter to third of the tournament. Just finished round 11 and the highest dragon I have used was a 7, a lot of wins with level 1 debutants! Hope this may help.

Baby dragons are notorious for taking out the big dogs. Don't use anything higher than around seven until you're at the halfway Mark or they'll be making spa reservations.

I have a question for those of you that rely on color matching. Since no one has a dragon above level 15 and a level 1 common dragon can beat a champion, I'm thinking that color matching is more important than level or rarity. I seem to be doing okay with that strategy but would like to get some opinoins on choosing dragons.

For example, if your opponent is a 3-color dragon (color A, color B, color C) and your dragons are similar except for its colors, which dragon would you choose?

Dragon 1: 3 colors good against color A.
Dragon 2: 2 colors good against color B, 1 color good against color C.
Dragon 3: 1 color good against color A, 1 color good against color B, 1 color good against color C.

All opinions are helpful. Sorry for the long dialogue.

I'd factor in the first two colors of the opponents when I choose dragons or if my single element dragon is level 14 or above and can beat the first element of the opponent then I'll choose that dragon.

I am not actually as good in this as others but what I am doing is I keep in mind the colors which we should avoid using against each element and the make a note of which will be strong and try to use them. At times a three colored dragon with one weak element works too. If you get what I mean. forexample if I have a comic dragon as opponent I will make a list of weak elements against it. Comic is red/blue/yellow type so i will try to avoid green for red, red & blue for yellow and red&white for blue. Then going to the strong elements n eliminating the weaks from them I will try to use atleast two strong elements for atleast 2 of the emlements of the opponent in this case a dragon having the dragon having three or atleast 2 elements from Yellow, purple, pink and black like Marshmallow(Pink/yellow/purple).

Actually I'm glad somebody pull this kind of disscussion. Honestly I think this is well worthed.
Personaly It would be nice to obtain champ type dragon at early game introduction however I was not so luck to play at all.
So obtaining and winning tournaments is more difficult.
In my personal experience and believe me I have more dragons winned from tournaments and tales rather from breeding...single colour dragons are best and first choice when leveled up.
If you dont have it go for Dragon 1 when multiple colours are involved. Opponent first colour is one you should focus keeping in mind to avoid ALL 'bad colours'. If you can have colour that is good for all three opponents colour while beeing safe on 'safe side' go for it. Sure you can not always have ideal candidate for fight however avoid using high level dragons agains low level dragon like using lvl 15 on lvl 1 or 3 same goes for viceversa. I personally never won using lvl 1 on lvl 15 or 20.
Also for exmaple you could find many dragons which have yellow/red combo and only few which have red/yellow like firestorm, keep this in mind when choosing. So in short words colour order DOES mater, less is better and try to obtain rare/neutral colours like now passion (valentine). Olympus and metal would also perform good when @ lvl15.

I have a good amount of Champion type dragons but i rarely use them during a tournament. Against chanpion i usually used, blue/green, yellow/red, purple/blue type against lvl 20 champion. Once that doesn't work, i will try black, pink hybrids. If that doesn't work, i would use white hybrids, if that doesn't work, i will use fairy, rainbow, gemstone hybrids.

Unruly is an easy champion, in general i think that the events in valentine are low cost / easy to win

Have you tried Wardrum, Creator, maybe even if you have Beloved, my level 1’s have been huge, I would throw anything Pink, Black, champ or cosmic at it. Good luck

Those 3-element dragons drive me crazy. I'm sure it's almost instinctual for many of you, but I'm sitting here cursing math and madly scribbling on paper. Then it's frustrating if I don't have any good element combinations or if that dragon loses and I don't know what to try next. Being a newbie forces me to be creative.

That said, Valkyrie is like a shark and all my dragons are chum in the water. Diamond 15, Metal 15, Achilles 15, Valiant 14 and Passion 13 have all lost so I'm going to try disposable dragons.

I used Seeker but mine was level 14 Skyharbor602 used Sobec or whatever it?s called mines in storage. I had always assumed Egypt was based on Purple/Yellow and I added the Green to it so just try a purple/yellow/green if you have it!

I really don?t think levels are that important as I can take out Level 20 champions with Level 1 dragons.

Also do you always use the same attacks, I tend to use bash for the first half and then switch to magic first towards the end of a tournament.

I kept recycling knightmare, wardrum, mexican, and I think I finally got it with a L15 champ. This tourney had spots of long battles and then I would win those L15 champs in one battle...it was odd for sure. I dont get the long long long hatch times on these new dragons.

Just finished the tourney and for once I had no major issues with either roll backs (think there was only 1 early on) or any opponents that were virtually un****able.

Normally, I only get 2 or maybe 3 videos to speed up rounds but by some weird stroke of luck there was a glitch that was actually in my favor and I was able to fight rounds 16-25 by watching videos. My mind was blown that a glitch actually worked in my favor for once!

I am so relieved that this was an easy tournament for once. No major issues with any of the opponents. I think I had three that I had to fight a second time. Unfortunately Broken Heart has to sit out the tales before heading to the nest, 30 hours are quite long.

This definitly happens. At that time is hard to chose right one. Happened to me many times as well. And that is also the rason why I think they are manipulating battles as well as breeding mechanisam.
In this case keep hitting persistantly. Dont give up. Start using good color higher lvl and switch using lvl1 to try. I'm sure it aleady gives you the pain but keep on hitting.

I had to use gold on Valkyrie. Well over 20 losses. Ridiculous.

Then got treated to 6 losses through rounds 27, 28 and 29 with 50-60% win chance dragons.

It just seems like a completely broken tournament to me. I'm not going to continue playing this game if this happens again. Don't need to put up with what amounts to outright theft at this point.

I thought so too, I only had 3 drags in the healing spa, usually I have a good dozen. My worst experience this time was Bronze, don?t know why, but metal types always stump me. I lost 5 drags on that before beating it finally.
