General Information
If you have NOT placed Maya through purchasing her with crowns you are triggering the glitch by visiting someone who does have her. The glitch is that the goals associated with Maya start. You can stop visiting until this is fixed so this goal doesn't keep starting for you. To stop it, you need to force close your game, not just close it.

This is a known issue currently under investigation.

PErsonally I like that I have OPTION to put away some walkers - like this cross-eyed fairy...but now I DON*T FEEL ANY motivation TO EVER win another walker. Since what is the point - I don't want to put my beloved walkers AWAY. So they would just be pointless prizes in the storage ( town square)...hope they would let us have as many as we want. The limit does not benefit anyone - players feel unmotivated to even try to win new walkers = no one spending gems for events which give us walkers as grand prizes = benefits no one.

I don't have the Baron icon, but I'm sure I also don't have 10 walkers yet.

If you click on the regular market icon at the bottom of your screen there should be a new icon for the Town Square beside the Decoration category.

As for the new event, is it just me or do the "old" Lovecupine spawns not drop the new materials?

Post #27 from a staff member mentions version 2.1 so perhaps your CS needs updating? That's the only thing I can think of.

Question on the Town Square ... I'm one who would love to put some of these walkers away, but don't have the option.

Is this a Version issue (currently on 1.9, which the post on page one says is OK for the Val event, but doesn't mention the Town Square addition & somewhere earlier someone mentioned a 2.1 ver), or is this an iOS vs Android issue?

(ie ... why would I upgrade to a new version if it isn't going to do anything for me. I'm old enough that "upgrade" == "break the things that WERE working in order to add some feature that you may/may not want & may/may not work anyway", especially since I play on a slightly older/cheaper/(aka slower) device.)

I couldn't find a post for JUST the Town Square (I presumed the existence of such a post if the Town Square was a new-but-not-part-of-the-valentine's-goals goal, but I presumed incorrectly), so putting this here ... THANKS!

Just earned my first 100 Crowns for completing the fourth goal in the current event.

I love finally being able to store walkers when they're being troublesome during events. I also like that the two new walkers will be a prize that we can earn in the background of other events as I personally prefer my event prizes to offer useful drops. That's not to say I don't love my walkers, I think they're all lovely but don't think they offer enough in return for all the hard work we did to earn them. I hope they keep this Crown system going forward to earn all future walkers.

I have upgraded the kissing booth in the current event to level 4 and the reward was to be 100 crowns. I got the pop-up saying congratulations with a picture of the crowns, but they are not in inventory and they are still grayed out saying coming soon in the town square. Force closing does not help.

Pika, I've got a suggestion for this new feature and figured this was the place to post it.

I've read several posts here and in the event thread were people are getting confused with the Crown rewards. Once they get the notification that they've received the crowns they are unsure where to find them and when they don't see them, they think they had a glitch.

Perhaps you could ask S8 to add a tally somewhere in the Town Square that shows our accumulated crowns, like we are able to see in our bronze/silver/gold runes in the Rune Market and our coins and gold in the regular market.

Yes! They do! Thank you! I never even thought of trying that. I think having the crowns still grayed out is what threw me off. I agree with AnnirasSweets, there really should be a place where we can see the tally. Like the runes in the rune market or the rotten cabbages in the tent.

Also..... Love the idea of an actual town square building! But it would need an expansion to go with it!

But...now that I've taken the time to read over the first page (yet another great informational post, SW!) I realize how much content this could offer us. I'm actually sort of excited to save up all my crowns so I can get another walker!

I love that it's all optional and won't become a goal or task for me until I choose to purchase the character thus activating it and whatever content comes with it. I'm going to hold out for Maya first since she comes with so many additional items and the poor Baron is just all by his lonesome. I really hope that S8 keeps expanding on this with especially with the bonus quests and hopefully storylines.

I totally agree. I want Maya sooo badly that I'd probably buy some crowns to get her if only to sate my curiosity about all those items she has. Do they have drops? What's her story? I'm dying to find out. As for the Baron, I have no intentions of purchasing him seeing as how he is only a walker with no new goals or items.

There are a bunch of ways for them to work the Crowns into our kingdoms, but unfortunately as of right now it sounds like they're only going to have the Crowns earned through events. Wouldn't it be great if they had ways for us to earn Crowns just through daily playing?

Of course, this whole Town Square is still so new that there are a lot of unknowns. Will they ever give Baron some items and maybe some goals to go with purchasing his walker? Will they only create goals/storylines for new purchases in the TS or will they eventually add goals for characters we've already purchased? Like the Baron for example, if we purchase him now is that the end of it or will a new goal pop up a year from now for all the people that have him as a walker? So many questions and so many possibilities for S8 to explore that I'm really looking forward to seeing how they handle this.

When you have 1000 crowns, summon Maya and select her in the town square, a set of goals, named ?the mystic?, appear. Apologies but I haven?t taken any screenshots of those and I?m almost at the end of this quest. The first I believe starts with visiting the cottage x1 and giving a hearty stew x1. The goals that follow (not difficult), result in getting Alcina (the horse), the crystal ball, the pool of sight and the mystic tent. Alcina has a 4h collection, drops horsey stuff and a blue mystic card. Crystal ball and pool of sight have crafts that give red and purple mystic cards respectively. The mystic tent has trades using the cards.

Haven?t got that far yet. I would imagine/guess from the info on the right that ruler trade gives you energy, worker trade gives building materials, wizard trade gives glimmerdust, enchanter?s or lumin essences and knight trade gives swords and armour.

I'm so excited to finally unlock Maya but I'm wondering if I'll have enough time between events to dedicate to completing her quest/trades or however you want to say it. It's encouraging to see S8 followed through with this one, it's a good idea on paper and it looks like it will be a good gaming experience for us, the users, as well. It works fine for me. I finished the gnome event, finally had 1000 crowns and bought Maya.

After reading the forum I got worried and looked for her but couldn’t find her walking around my kingdom and I realized that I had to go to Town Square - Town Hall and check her in.

I got the quest 1x before I even had the 1000 crowns and it was gone when I restarted the game. After buying Maya it works fine! (On my Android)

I'm waiting for the pond of sight now... No, not for the pond, that's ready for sure! 😂 But 199 Heksa spawned exactly on top of it. And I was so happy all those fights against the gnomes were done.... 😡 But glad I'm going forward to that storyline too! 😉

8Regarding Maya...my pond, crystal ball, pony and tent are all making things at the moment so I can?t take a picture yet. After you have created enough of the cards it asks you to pick your card and when you go to the tent it has new cards that you have to craft 3 of-one of them was a worker card and one was a wizard card-that is all I can remember off the top of my head-but it does not say how to craft them. Does anyone know? Do I just keep making cards in all the 4 things and hope they drop? I will take a picture when one of them is finished

This issue seems to happen when you visit a neighbor who already has Maya. When this happens, please force close the game as a temporary fix. We are still working on a permanent fix so this doesn't happen anymore. Thank you everyone for your patience.


Just to double check - have you placed Maya through purchasing her with crowns?? If not, you are triggering the glitch by visiting someone who does have her. You should stop visiting until this is fixed so it doesn't keep starting for you. Force close you game, not just close it.

Thank you for posting this! I visited a neighbor with Maya, and sure enough, Maya showed up uninvited. Thanks to this heads up, I refused to engage. Didn’t even read the dialog, just force closed and reopened the game and poof! she was gone.

I do have enough crowns for Maya, but based on early reports, I am not impressed with her storyline, so I am holding out for whatever the town square offers next. I really hope the Maya bug is corrected soon, as this makes visiting neighbors an unwelcome task, due to having to constantly force close.

Ps. While you’re fixing the Maya bug, can you please fix the question marks for apostrophes error here in the forums? Please?

Have you gone to the town square and traded 1000 crowns for her? If so, you’ll need to contact support and let them know. If not, then be grateful she hasn’t shown up. For those who haven’t traded for her yet, her appearance is a bug which causes issues in the game. It is caused by visiting a neighbor who already traded for her, but it should not be triggered until you actually trade in crowns for her.

I decided to put Maya away & not let her walk around my realm in order to improve gameplay for my neighbors who do not have her. I have gotten feedback from neighbors that this solution is working! Yay! I'd rather not have her walking around creating all of this mess. So that's my workaround until it is fixed.

Did the same today after reading this. So hopefully it works. I have finished the Maya quest line, so I do hope that the buildings from the quest line do not interfere either.

If you have NOT placed Maya through purchasing her with crowns you are triggering the glitch by visiting someone who does have her. The glitch is that the goals associated with Maya start. You can stop visiting until this is fixed so this goal doesn't keep starting for you. To stop it, you need to force close your game, not just close it.

This is a known issue currently under investigation.

If you read post #118 (there's a copy above in #131).. it clearly explains all what is needed to prepare for Maya's final exchange. Quite alot!
Like you I got 2 Energy.. after days of preparations, so figured it's one of the random drops and the amount is correct.

Interpreting my card readings? I see my future is real poor!

I've figured it's best I save the materials and energy to complete something else that will gain more in the kingdom.

It's a random bet.. like buying a lottery ticket. You may win or as usual.. you loose. Maybe in the future some rich prizes will appear.. but in the meantime NONE have been reported!

Somehow Maya reminds me of the Cloud Sparrow from the Elven Outpost.. I see a similar aspect and not only in appearance. They also take and rarely.. give nothing.

Crowns are only given as rewards for participating in events. If you check out the dedicated Hub thread on the Town Square (link at the top of the first post in this thread) SW has a really detailed write up that explains everything about this new system.

collect colored cards from the horse, crafting in Pond and crystal ball.
when enough are collected craft in the Tent.. 'draw your card'.
this gives you randomly: a job card: worker/wizard/knight or ruler.
repeat over and over and over again!
when enough of job cards which are random droppings.. you can 'read your future' in whichever is completed.
this gives you final result of usually some kind of kingdom droppings.
my worker cards gave me energy.. but very few!
all crafts are only in the mystic buildings.

In the tent you keep doing enough of the first one and then as you collect from that you will get one of the other cards you need to craft any of the remains things in the tent. Hope that makes sense

Basically you have to keep crafting enough of the 'colored card crafts' to get enough to do a 'job card craft'.
Then finally you do the 'job/ knight, warrior, ruler or whatever' craft which gives drops for your kingdom.. poor or rich, depending on your luck.

Yes my iPad automatically updates the app. I have had it from the very beginning I think I picked up the extras during the event when the crowns where not being awarded. Then they awarded them separately. I think they gave me the full amount even though I was on the last part of the quest. Not going to worry too much about them for now.

It's not something I will work towards with great effort, but I will make cards every now and then for something to do.

Keep in mind there is an unresolved issue about having Maya on your board - more info in post 1 of this thread (big bright red text). Once you trigger her goals, you can store her so your neighbours games won't go into meltdown when they visit you. :)

I expect it works like Maya. The stuff just waits there for you. The new stuff doesn?t have a timer on them, they just say ?new?. The lit torches are limited to 99 and the guard dogs have a limit of 2.

If you've already accumulated Crowns in the Town Square then you shouldn't have an issue with updating since I think the problem was just for that first time when we had to update to get the Town Square. The only time I recall hearing of someone losing Crowns was when the town square was first released and some devices updated during the event. What I remember happening is that the people who were playing the event on the old version missed the first few chances to earn the crowns but, again, I'm almost positive that support helped them after the fact. If you're very worried, perhaps take a screen cap of your Crown total before you update that way if you do have to contact support you'll be able to include the pic to help things along. Good luck with you update!

My toadstool farmhouse is level 7 and it dropped one. Most of my regular farmhouses are level 1 and I’m averaging about one mask per 10-15 collections.
My three level 5 farmhouses seem to have even lower drop rates. I think I’ve only collected one mask from them after multiple collections.

So far, each trading post level requires an increasing number of masks. The relic seems to be a semi rare drop from the crow as well, I average about one in 3-4 collections. Thankfully this one isn’t timed, so I’m in no rush to finish.

Now I have to make a decision. Should I get Maya while she’s on sale, or hold on to my crowns in case something else more interesting comes along? I’m really not impressed by her or her goals, but I worry I will have regrets later if I don’t take advantage of the reduced price.

Pros:
- the Maya bug will stop pestering me when visiting neighbors who have her
- the sale price means I use less crowns
- I will have something to do if we ever get a break between timed events

Cons:
- something more impressive/enjoyable may come along soon and I’ll have used most of my crowns.
- she will go straight to the town hall jail, because I really don’t like the way she looks. (What is that bone on her head all about!?!)
- her goals seem to require a lot more resources and energy than the rewards are worth

Any other pros and cons feedback would be very welcome!

Any amount of energy rewarded from the ruler is negligible, given the amount of energy spent to make the ingredient color cards at least 3 times.

1 set of color cards:
x2 Lumin Essence: 5 Mermaid Scales, 5 water, 5 earth wisps
x3 Enchanter's Essence: 5 Mermaid Scales, 5 water, 5 Glimmerdust
x2 Red Dye: 6 red petals, water
x2 Purple Dye: 6 purple petals, water

I am sure a lot of you are past this point, but here are the drops I remembered to record from my level 2 trade post (I got some multiple times):

8 mushrooms
3 eggs
3 fish
3 hides

I am curious- do the quantities increase as you upgrade, or do the rarities of the drops?

Level 6 of what? Maya has no upgrades, just her tent, a horse, etc.

How do people have the Tradesman? I think I answered my own question! They didn?t buy the Baron! I thought we would get enough crowns from this event. Oh! Well!

How many crowns should we have got for the 3rd community goal of the last event? I have Maya and the Guardsman, but I only have 360 towards the 750 needed for the Tradesman and I have always completed everything for crowns, so should have the maximum amount available, but still way off enough to get him. Should I have enough for him by now?
