I spawned 5 trolls and finished the goal but I got 3 more after that (every time I collected I got a troll) so hopefully you'll get one soon too??

Mardi Gras has made me miss several things in my life I was supposed to attend. Classes, days at work, etc... Although I did meet Pat Sayjak from Wheel of Fortune one Mardi Gras, not as nice as you'd think. I suppose my then boyfriend should not have asked him to buy a vowel. Did you know Pat Sayjak has body guards? Anyway, I feel you on not finishing....
I bet those bodyguards weren't the friendliest types? Somehow I have always managed to get the most out of Mardi Gras, we celebrate for 4 days (officially), but it may become more. After tuesday it will be finished for sure, but hubs wants to start friday afternoon...(instead of saturday). We'll see how much play time I'll get.

Thus far I'm not dissapointed. Got to level 5 in kingdom #1 and level 6 in #2. I am a little confused however, but that's because there ar a lot of items required from many different places.

I have to gather love dust, but I'm guessing it's not a guaranteed drop, because my sparkling mines gave nothing.

Personally, I still have far to go. I have only reached the first individual prize. Maybe they will add some new goals but I still have plenty to complete. I am glad we have three weeks since I think one needs lots of engergy to complete this event.

That's right about where I am in terms of upgrades so I'll probably start chipping away at some mermaid requirements after finishing the upgrades to my booth.

I know these events take a lot of energy and I know lots of players need the full time to finish everything in an event. That being said, S8 usually never gives us an extended time table just because of extra energy needed to complete. That's the only thing that led me to think they'll add some stuff in the next few weeks like they did at Halloween. I was only curious if I was the only one thinking that way, that's all.

The spawn rate from the ponds is dismal. I just did a collection of my 13 ponds. I spawned the pink fangbeast on pond #12. When I had 9 ponds out, I frequently would collect from all of them without spawning anything. Sigh.

I have calculated that it is going to take me aprox. 18 days to complete so I am very happy with the 21 days.
Wool and water are not in the table( most higer level players probably are maxed on those but I have to constantly watch that I do not accidently use them up for something else) I calculated 60 energy for wool( I almost never get more than 1) and 0 for water as we have to collect from ponds anyway to spawn the lovebeast.

It's a little funny, and a little ironic seeing people say how easy this event is, and how oh how will they fill in the last two weeks of it?! Usually we are griping about how impossible it is. I think I am on target, but I'm not going to be slacking off. That last level will take about 7 days, using 300 energy per day.

They aren't actual boxes in our inventory. When you receive a 'bundle' the items it contains are what goes into your inventory such as Love Potions, Mermaid Scales or Living Wood.

Why? It should be at least limit of 4. This puts a damper on things.

I haven't read back to all posts bust has the Lovebeast spawn rate been discussed? I've only had 1 in 24 hours. Do they spawn from all types of ponds or just the regular ponds?

I've gotten them from both Mermaid Ponds and regular Ponds. In my queendom they normally spawn about every third or fourth pond so I've got 12 out. But as always, it varies player to player and the spawning tends to go through cycles.

The way it's written leads me to believe that there are only 3 possible drops for the third trade, the Unicorn, the Birds or the Flyger and that we can only have one of each animal. It really took the wind out of my sails to see that!

I say this because if you compare the phrasing of Trade 3 to the other trades, the wording is definitive like in Trade 1 where we only get the drops listed, not like Trade 2 which includes the key phrase "more exclusive decos" and we get other drops in addition to what is listed. I hope it's just a matter of poorly written descriptions and other drops are possible but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

The sweetheart pets do not have button eyes. The Lovebirds are rather tiny and sit atop a birdhouse. Very cute decoration. Its drops are pretty poor.

I do wish that they had mixed up the crafting buildings used. AND we can?t even speed up the magic forge. Which would be a great feature to add to the elven trades. So I have a ton of materials just sitting and waiting to be crafted. I am assuming this is deliberate to slow us down and make us want to gem speed.

there was a discussion on this earlier as pointed out is all quite logical as indicated. the Forge being the only crafting building that use of Runes can't speed it's obvious this choice was made giving priority of gem use, if necessary. we calculate time, energy, materials etc.. but developers make calculations on gem income also.

Hmm. Just did the calculation, and I will be short of teddies too. I still need 365 faerie breath petals, and I get one teddy for each three trees, so that's 12 teddies I should pick up there. And I get about one teddy each time I harvest the bloom petals. I need 138 more bloom petals, so I should get about 10 teddies there. But I need 67 more teddies. I will be short 45 teddies. That's an extra 150 trees, not for petals, just to spawn the beasts. I haven't collected any petals so far with a beast already spawned, so I have given them every opportunity to spawn.
Bloom collections are a more energy-efficient way to spawn beasts, but you can only get a few each day from that.
If the teddy drops don't improve, I will be chopping a LOT of extra trees and collecting a LOT of extra bloom petals.

I have been enjoying this event much more than the past few events (with the exception of the monster hunt), but now that I have reached level 9 on the Smoochie Booth, the pink skunks and beasts have all run away.
I realize there is plenty of time left, so I’m not worried about being able to finish. But it is extremely annoying that the dire boars have suddenly invaded again, showing up when collecting from ponds instead of the pink fangbeasts. They are also practically a guaranteed spawn from Old Thomas all of a sudden.

Feathers and pink parchment seem to be dropping ok for me. Hopefully it will stay that way. Looks like the baron bears will be my stumbling block.

I also find it odd and quite annoying that everything is done in the forges. I agree with the theory that it is because the forges have no boost. But these crafts and potions don’t have particularly long timers....so I don’t feel the need to speed them up. For me it is annoying because I’m still trying to make silver bars for gold tridents, :rolleyes: and those are 8 hour crafts. Sigh.

if not intrested in Trades 1 and 2.. you do have enough Love Potions to do the limited 3 Trades of Trade 3. you'd be missing only the Valentine decos. however, even if there's limited space to place all the decos, I would craft the decos anyway so as to use the Love Potions as it's more interesting to have the decos rather than a pile of unused Love Potions in the Inventory.

it's a dangerous syndrome because if you forget that the beast comes back from hell and stays parked in the corner of your kingdom... lots of energies go, meanwhile, chopping and fishing, trying to find an impossible, nowhere to be found, poor beast to ****...

Please, SpiritWind00 and/or S8, this is lasting from the last CS update... any answer? Any tip? Or at least a 'lil sign that you are considering the problem.

I just got a new device and have not had any rollbacks in the last few days whereas before it was driving me nuts too. Why don’t you try storing a few more things to reduce your game memory required to see if that helps. Try all the other usual troubleshooting tips in the bugs forum thread too. Are you on the latest app version as some performance issues were rolled out? I know it’s really hard. You can also reach out to Support for assistance. :)

Put your sound on to see if monsters are still lurking if rollbacks are continuing - that will definitely save you energy.

I hope it can help, but try storing items you don't *really* need, especially animated items or decorative items. Click on Edit and then pop it into the crate with the arrow to store it. I found when my game had less items it behaved much better. Still not that great, but a bit more stable which saved my sanity. Check on how much storage you have left through settings/general. Deleting and reinstalling can free up huge amounts of memory, but as soon as you start visiting again and your neighbour boards are reloaded, the memory soon goes up again. It's not going to fix the rollbacks, but maybe it might reduce them a little. If it's still going on too much, then I'd encourage you to reach out to Support. Hope that helps! :)

Have you actually completed the goal associated with leveling up to 7? Just leveling up to 7 won?t do it. You have to complete that entire goal.

Also I read a post that said that the parchments started dropping from Old Thomas at level 7 for them, so it might be useful for you to start checking Old Thomas now.
I have been reading through the thread and I also noticed that the Sweetheart fountain is animated? I want one for sure.
And Moon talked me into doing some lower trades. I love the white fences and the paths. Very pretty.

2 goals so far reward crowns which you can use to buy new citizens or walkers ( when you get enough ). You can check post 2 for which goals reward crowns. All info in the Town Square sticky thread. It will take a couple of events to get either the Baron or the other character.

The prizes wrapped in ribbons are resources to help in upgrading the Smoochie Booth.

Pink parchment will start dropping from Old Thomas' house when your Smoochie Booth is at level 7 but it's not a guaranteed drop. You'll need 12 pages total.

As Princess Celestian mentioned earlier, make sure you have completed the entire goal. That happened to me too. I had leveled up to a certain level, but had not finished the goal associated with it. As soon as I completed the goal, I was able to get the necessary item. Hope that works for you.

Make sure you’re completing “Goal 7”. Part of goal 7 requires a Booth upgraded to “level 7”. But to get to the next goal “8” you need to finish all the steps of goal 7.

Did you already brew pink ink? That might be the problem.

Check on that first and if you completed all those steps then a ticket to S8. Good luck.

Make sure you?re completing ?Goal 7?. Part of goal 7 requires a Booth upgraded to ?level 7?. But to get to the next goal ?8? you need to finish all the steps of goal 7.

Did you already brew pink ink? That might be the problem.

Check on that first and if you completed all those steps then a ticket to S8. Good luck.

Some of the post seem to contradict each other, unless I'm reading it wrong, but I still think it would be a good idea to start checking Old Thomas on Level 7. I think I got a few before the goals asked for parchment. Not a guaranteed drop, but it's worth 1 energy to try. IMO.

Like others posting here I've been seeing a lot of boars today and not so many lovebeasts. When i do get a lovebeast my game quite often freezes and then resets to before it was spawned, after that the next try will spawn nothing or a boar. I'm also pretty sure the rates of generating the various valentine beasts have been turned down, so I'm glad I tried to level up quickly at the earlier levels. I'm quite keen to finish this one!

Another reason to finish the booth, other than the 30 boxes per collection, is the reward of 250 crowns towards the new walkers in the town square. It will be interesting to see who or what is added to that in the future.

All the things that has only a chance (not guarenteed) drop for energy are not worth trying imo if you don't need the other items they drop! Chances to drop more energy are very low; sir Piglet dropped 40 energy only 2 times last year for me! And the other ones I have, usually drop about 0,1 or 2 energy (dragons, naga) don't give you more energy overall after using 1 energy for collecting, I see them as a free collection...

I’ve been keeping a list of items in the Inventory Guide under E for energy. Check what you have against the entry. They’re all a bit random though. A good idea is to stock up when you can on the 2 items to craft energy yourself in the greenhouse if you’ve time and works in with your style of play. Hope that helps!:)

Store as soon as you purchase. If you logoff game or game crashes they are then not storable. Anything chopped once will never be able to be stored ( although at one time they could but that little buggy wuggy was squashed )

Who needs love potions anyway? If you've received enough boxes to be eligible for the community prize, you've got the statue that drops potions every 4 hours.

I think I only received the potion and a few coins. It popped up along with all the other game opening ads so when I went to inventory, love potion was the only new item.

I just went through the first few posts, but i can't see anything that says the unicorn is random. Doing the trade gives you the three prizes, in order, with no other options, and after that the trade disappears.


I did three trade III trades in the Sweetheart Shack. First I got The Lovebirds, then The Pink Flyger Cub, then The Sweetheart Unicorn. After getting those three, Trade III disappeared from The Sweetheart Shack.

The Smoochie bundle is a collection of event related items that go directly into inventory. The actual box does not go into inventory. (Same for the community prizes). The harp should be in your inventory. If not, try force closing your game and check again. (Look under deco, it might be easier to find there, if you have collected several things since unlocking it.)

Come on S8, the first 2 commuity boxes should always include event only items shouldn't they and we all should be getting the exact same prize rewards period!

on another note, other than the prizes we got, am actually enjoying this stress free event. taking a lot of energy but, nothing so far has been too rare to obtain. it is a nice change from last event i failed to complete due to the super rare purple grapes in my game that are of course currently showing up in droves now that they are not really needed :rolleyes:

Don't forget to collect from Thomas on goal 7. He may be stingy but you should have plenty of time to get the 18 you need.

Having random drops in timed goals is just wrong.
Make the drops guaranteed & just do a slight increase of the total required S8. It's very simple.
Frustrating players will then diminish greatly.

Oh no! I'm glad there wasn't anything extra yesterday. I'm still chopping, chopping, collecting, fishing, no energy to spare for normal collections even. My kitchens have run dry due to lack of energy to farm. I'll be doing this on my main game till Monday at least and on the second one - which doesn't have an alicorn collection - until later in the week. I really want to see if I can get the unicorn, so don't mind everything else being neglected for once. But I keep sleeping through the middle of the night collections from the booth, and can't always do the four hourly collection during the day due to normal life. And hate those fangbeasts, dire boars and even skunkupines that I've been seeing recently. I think lots of us are at a similar stage.

According to page 1 post 4, the drops and trades are permanent, with the exception of trade 3. After the limit of one of each animal is reached, trade 3 disappears. I haven’t seen any posts about what, if anything, the Cupid faerie drops after that.

I swear these ?prizes? are getting worse and worse. After I hit the faerie prize, I have no desire to continue collecting boxes because I have no desire to get the community ?prizes?. Mainly because no one in the community is actually going to need them. They did one like this a few community events back and everyone pointed out how useless the prizes would be because most people would no longer need them. Unless the last community prizes actually drops the harder to get items for the trades, then it will be useless too.

Yeah! The Cupid trolls are back. So far I have received two bow ties, four pink bears, and a cologne. I don’t need the cologne but it has been fun and the other stuff is helpful. The energy return was a couple energy like fighting normal monsters.

I'm on the fence as to whether or not to purchase another two. While they are super cute in that odd way that I adore, I'm not sure how often large energies will drop so it's hard to determine their long term value.

My tamed cupid troll 1st drop was 2 energy.

Hope it's not going to be the same as Sweet tooth.... 1 kingdom it gave 2,2,2. Other kingdom it gave 5,2,2. For 400 gems I am rather appalled. Not sure if I had black flags because I was concentrating on energy.

Spiritwind is it possible to ask the developers to make the new Faeries Breath Trees turntable. Sorry if this has been asked before. All the other Trees turn and I know it?s a small thing but it?s annoying that the hearts are all facing the same way. I love the valentine trees and plan on keeping them after the event so it would be great to be able to move them how I want.

You should have 500 crowns now. Click on Maya is the TS and they’ll be there. They don’t go to inventory.

Just waiting to collect all the chocolate boxes to get the Faerie, and obviously the community prizes, anyway I know I now have 6 alicorns / 40 energy giving steeds. So I have one a day except for Thursday so I?m working towards getting my 7th and this is the first event I?ve had all 6 fully operational throughout the event, but I dunno I seemed to finish really quickly. I?d be interested to hear others thoughts on this. I did notice I was about a day behind the usual suspects with regards to getting out the invitations. But 10 days left seems quite a lot for me. I did have one daily Ali give me a 100 energy boost, that obviously helped. Any thoughts?

10 and the crafts disappeared from the forge. I was 1 pink teddy away from my souvenir Baron bear. Darn.

Funny you say that I?ve noticed the last few events s8 have kept these crafts open after you?ve completed the building etc. But to be on the safe side I took all day yesterday waiting to fully upgrade the Smoochie Booth to level 10 because I wanted the souvenir teddy, love dust and pink ink (the only items I needed left to craft or obtain). My mines were really stingy yesterday and only gave me 2 love dust. Once i?d got them then I upgraded I?m glad I waited now. And I?m glad I thought just incase they do disappear on this occasion. In future I will always wait to upgrade as s8 change their minds like the wind changes direction. I?m sorry you got caught out and weren?t able to complete your collection of souvenirs. I will admit there have been occasions I?ve not had the time or inclination. But it does seem unfair of s8 to change their minds after they?ve given players the impression after a few events they?ll keep them in the crafting buildings for the collectors.

Well I'm still 4 bears away from level 10 but at this point, to be at level 9 is very fast , considering I hardly ever level any event building to 10 because usually by level 7,8 i am very behind on the materials.

Yes, the coins were a nice bonus. One plus for this event is my coin balance has grown :)

I agree, I have found the last two events to be very easy to complete, finished the last event the first week. But, I am able to play all day (retired). I am glad to see that more of my nieghbors, who work and or have children, are able to get further along in the events now with less frustration. Always thought that this game was geared towards those who had plenty of time or, plenty of money.

Be aware it takes 4,5 days after getting the fearie before you have the prizes for this event!
Getting the building to level 10 doesn't give you anything more then the crowns. For now I don't see any reason to use them for a walker that gives nothing useful. Hoping for more useful things later, but we need to finish more events before we know....

I also did not make an extra souvenir Baron Bear. However, when I fought the Cupid Trolls, I got one as a drop. Actually, I just noticed that I have 2 in inventory.

Pretty sure her only drops are going to be those you need for trade 3 unless they change after the event. So if you used gems to finish the trades then she most likely will be useless.

I mentioned something along the same line as this a few days ago so you're definitely not alone in thinking this event seemed different. After thinking on it, I realized that in my realm it's never about how much energy I do or don't have to finish an event. The thing that holds me back from getting through most events easily is the dismal drop and spawn rates of most event items and monsters.

However, in my realm, the Valentine monsters and drops were plentiful and nearly a guarantee so I was able to craft the materials and upgrade at whatever pace I liked. I've decided to use my 'free time' to finish some Valentine trades (love the decos) and work on the final mermaid goal to keep busy for the rest of the event. I'm happy that it looks like everyone will be able to finish without pulling their hair out (which is how it should be) but that doesn't necessarily mean I want all future events to be so long.

Missed last one and only made one before using gems for Phoenix because I really wanted him but didn’t get sister.

I’ve been able to do lots of small check ins between things, get my energy, flowers, chops some trees, OT, chicken, mines, ponds. Usually pick a few that will lead to magic forge crafting 2 things. I think I’m behind my booth is level 8 and only 1/3 to level 9.

Do you think I think I have a chance if I check in 5-7 times a day, have two Wizard schools, 3 weekly animals for energy drops and 18 daily plus a few random drops. Those who have finished, at my slower pace do you think I still have a chance? Mods removed because I went into too much personal detail so I’ll keep it broad, though most here know I’m sick, in a flare so I’m sleeping a lot. That sleep is interfering with my collecting and playing time! lol. It’s like a full time job which is why each time I wake I do my best to colllect and get what I can. I hope this strategy works. Thoughts?

It did go quick, but I don't consider this a negative at all. For lower-level players, or players who don't have access to extra energy benefits, it gives them ample time to do the quest. For players who have unfinished storyline/other quests *cough* plethora of Mermaid stuff!*cough* it gives us time in between the timed events to either work on those or replenish resources for the next event. I enjoy timed events, but these days they are back-to-back with energy and resource draining needs. Enjoy the breather. Spend time with your family while you can--10 days will come and go and we will all be back to the grind XD

Yes, drop rates were very good and for most drops we could choose how many items we put out to collect from, so could play at a pace that suited us. Even for those where there is a limit (OT and mines), I was never waiting for a drop to craft something. I really like that there is time to spare. I haven't got the final prize yet but can take my time to get that. And yes, back to crafting silver bars :)

So I personally wouldn't mind if events were this long all the time.

Hopefully this info will help:
Event is supported in v1.9+ (Accessing a lower version after starting the event in 1.9 will reset progress) - if you didn't upgrade the app till after goal 4 to the latest version where the Town Square feature was introduced, then you might not have received those crowns. I'm pretty sure I read this issue earlier in the thread.

Goal 4: 100 crowns
Goal 7: 150 crowns
Goal 10: 250 crowns

I'll run this by Pika for validation just to be sure though.

Hang in there. Based on your energy sources (much more than I have. Lol); I believe you can do it! Especially since you’ll be able to check in frequently. I have a very part time job. And when not working I feel like I’m on this game constantly. So I do like that it’s 3 weeks long because I’m plugging away trying to finish level 10. About half way there.

Go to the Market. Touch Town Square. Touch the Baron or Maya, and you will see how many you have.
