40 minutes
Cake Pops: 1 pop mix, 1 edible stick
45 minutes

In the Bakery:
Edible Stick: 2 flour, 1 milk, 2 white sugar
20 minutes

Goal 3 Recipes
In the Deep Fryer:
Fried Pop Mix: 1 pop mix
1 hour 20 minutes

In the Pop Truck:
Fried Pop: 1 fried pop mix, 1 edible stick
45 minutes

In the Bakery:
Edible Stick: 2 flour, 1 milk, 2 white sugar
20 minutes

Goal 4 Recipes
In the Bakery:
Choco Cookie: 1 milk chocolate, 2 milk, 1 flour
1 hour and 30 minutes

In the chocolatier:
Fudge Drizzle: 2 milk chocolate, 1 milk
1 hour

In the Pop Truck:
Choco Pops: 1 Choco Cookie, 1 Pop Mix, 2 Fudge Drizzles
1 hour
Plus you need 8 pop mix for the 8 Choco Pops

My Suggestions:
Start making milk chocolate and if you see in newspaper buy them.
You need like 40 milk chocolate for goal 4
Keep milking those cows, making white sugar, cream and flour
You need 16 cream for 8 pop mixes

Goal 5 Recipes
In the chocolatier:
Fudge Drizzle: 2 milk chocolate, 1 milk
1 hour

In the Fryer:
Crumbly Coating: 1 Choco Cookie
1 hour 20 minutes

In the Pop Truck:
Crumbly Cookie Pop: 1 Choco Pop, 1 Crumbly Coating
1 hour 30 minutes

Suggestions for Goal 5
For Choco Pops...you need 4 more pop mix
Plus 4 more Choco cookies in the Bakery
Plus 8 Fudge drizzles
Plus 4 more Choco cookies for 4 crumbly coating

Keep making milk chocolate or buy any you see in the market
You need cream and white sugar for the pop mix.

Goal 6 Recipes
In the Pop Truck:
Grape Pop Mix: 4 milk, 2 white sugar, 1 purple grape
2 hours

This one will take 16 hours for 8 Grape Pop Mix

My Suggestions For Goal 6:
Maybe we are done with milk chocolate...
Keep making it though...sell it to help those that still need it
Keep growing that sugar cane, making white sugar and milking the cows...
You will need 8 purple grapes for Goal 6

Goal 7 Recipes
In the Pop Truck:
Apple Pop Mix: 4 milk, 2 white sugar, 1 apple
2 hours 20 minutes

Time needed for 8 apple pop mixes: 18 hours 40 minutes

Goal 8 Recipes
In the Pop Truck:
Rainbow Pop Mix: 2 Grape Pop Mix, 2 Apple Pop Mix
1 hour

Now to make these 10 Rainbow Mix :
Need 20 grape Pop Mix
40 hours
Need 20 apple Pop Mix
46 hours 20 minutes
Make the 10 Rainbow Pop Mix
10 hours
Total time for Goal 8 is 96 hours 20 minutes
Or 4 days 20 minutes

Goal 9 Recipes
In the Bakery:
Cream Frosting: 2 powder sugar, 2 milk, 1 cream
15 minutes
Cookie Sandwiches: 2 Choco cookies, 1 cream frosting
2 hours 15 minutes
Choco Cookies: 1 milk chocolate, 2 milk, 1 flour
1 hour and 30 minutes

Items needed
24 Choco cookies ( 24 milk chocolate)
36 hours
12 cream Frosting
3 hours
12 Cookie sandwiches
27 hours

Total time: 66 hours

Goal 10 Recipes
In the Pop Truck
Dark Choco Pop: 1 dark chocolate, 2 cream, 1 milk
1 hour 10 minutes
Cookies and Cream pops: 2 dark Choco Pops (from Pop Truck ), I cookie sandwich (from bakery)
2 hours

Bakery total 66 hours again for the same 12 sandwiches from Goal 9

Totals
Pop Truck
24 dark Choco Pops
28 hours
Now the 12 Cookie and Cream Pops
24 hours

Pop Truck total 54 hours

The Pop Truck will be waiting on the items from the bakery
So event time will be 66 hours plus 2 hours in Pop Truck beings you have to make last one after everything is obtained from bakery

So I think hour total is 68 for Goal 10

Goal 11 Recipes
In the Pop Truck
Cookies and Cream pops:
2 dark Choco Pops (from Pop Truck ), 1 cookie sandwich (from bakery)
2 hours
Rocky Pops (pop truck)
2 Candy Rocks
1 Cookie Cream Pop (this is the one we gave away for goal 10)
1 hour 35 minutes
But unfortunately you need fifteen more cookie Cream Pops from bakery
And twelve takes 68 hours so 15 is approximately 21 more hours
Then 15 rocky Pops times 1 hour 35 minutes

Unbelievable
68 hours plus 21 hours plus 15 times 1 hour 35 minutes

Have those planes ready to fly before you get here.
Refresh orders now.

If anyone gets Piper's Pop Truck, please post whether it can also be used to craft recipes. It looks like it will (judging by the task description), but unless someone verifies it, it's still unknown.

Also, since different levels may have different costs, please also mention those as well. For example, I'm at level 72 and...

Morgan's Pop Truck: 1,000 coins
Piper's Pop Truck: 240 gems

Can you clarify what the benefit is of having pipers truck, then?

Off-hand, I'd say the benefit is being able to get through the goals twice as fast. Who knows how time-consuming the later goals are going to be?

I'm not complaining, because the goals (so far) seem completely doable...but I have to admit, I'm getting a bit tired of crafting only milk chocolate and putting everything else on hold. The Grape Pop Mix (when I can finally get to it, I'm only on Goal 4 yet) will be a relief, even if it is even sweeter than the milk chocolate, lol.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Judging by the announcement banner, I'm not seeing any potential pets. I do see some prizes that are duplicates from a previous event, as well as a couple of new ones, but usually in those banners there would be a hint as to any new animals.

If you think needing the milk chocolate for this event is bad, try doing truck deliveries (if you're on iOS) that ALSO request milk chocolate--for two days in a row, even--and at this point I NEED the bronze bells from the deliveries in order to keep the Chocolatier going faster than normal, lol :p

Thank you for your good wishes :) I did manage to fulfill Sunday's truck order, but I haven't unlocked today's order yet--probably won't do it until after I complete goal 5 and can actually use the Chocolatier again (the order's asking for Chocolate Bananas AND Milk Chocolate).

Goal 8
Follow The Rainbow Pop
A few more colours and you've got a Rainbow Pop!
This would be a perfect snack for a Unicorn!
Get 1 Grape Pop Mix
Get 1 Apple Pop Mix
Give 10 Rainbow Pop Mix (made in the Pop Truck)
REWARDS: 200 coins, 2 name, 28 experience points

Recipes for Goal 8

Make the 10 Rainbow Pop Mix

Total time for Goal 8 is 96 hours 20 minutes
Or 4 days 20 minutes

The very interesting tidbit in this Goal is the word UNICORN
A snack for a unicorn....

I won't know what the next goal is for four days and I still see like a beehive in the prize picture telling me if there is a unicorn it could be two goals away or more and then again I like pets so reading to much into it

I think I need that extra truck if only I knew for sure that there is a unicorn. I would buy the extra truck. That would cut my time down to two days.

Ugh...I guess, the best way to plan for this would be to just start by making 27 Grape Pop Mix before giving the 8 for Goal 6, and 27 Apple Pop Mix before giving the 8 for Goal 7, and then make one more of each for Goal 8 before making the Rainbow Pop Mix...

I just hope I have enough time left...these Milk Chocolates are driving me crazy! Fortunately, I'm on Goal 5, so with any luck I'll be done with them all by mid-day tomorrow (I hope).

I'm finishing Goal 5 now. Thanks to judyandthecat, I knew to craft the cookies and the pop mix ahead of time while I was doing the milk chocolate (and overnight the fudge drizzle). I would suggest doing the same, even if it means holding off on completing Goal 4 while you are doing preparations for Goal 5 (crafting all but 1 Fudge Drizzle in advance, as crafting one is a required step for the goal).

With the help of 32 gems out of my stored up stash (from doing trains), I finished level 7 today and started level 8, got to say, I love the colours, managed to add extra slots so I can ha e 6 on the go. I may be able to let you all know, if I finish earlier than the time, if there is a Unicorn at the end, I didnt think there was a pet at the end, but since someone has said there is, I will find out and when I do I will let you all know.

My advice: open more slots, hoard apples, sugar and purple grapes and last of all try and time it so most of the craft can do while you sleep, set more up for while you are at work, good luck x

OMG, I created a problem. Guys, I'm a great big nobody, I dont know nothin' about birthin' no unicorns. I was just sharing my hopeful yet entirely speculative excitement over the storm8 wording about it all being perfect snack foods for unicorns. I mean, it sounds like a hint, doesn't it? If it's not, it's a very mean tease. But I DO NOT KNOW WE ARE GETTING A PET. I was being verbally excited in my hope.

Yes indeed! Well, they are mythical beasts, after all, so the receipt of one as a pet also being a myth would be consistent!

It’s horribly slow I know! No tips other than to keep going and make sure all machines are full before going to bed.
I ended up using some gems to speed up as I couldn’t stand it! If this is all for decorations.. well crapola! :(

Hello!

It looks like you are on Quest 4 (Choco Pop), it asks for Choco Pops, but your inventory says 0. Your inventory shows 10 Dark Choco Pops, but these are a different item. Hopefully that helps!

So there are more goals after the rainbow pops that use these dark chock pops???

The bundle pack in my game had the grape and apple pop mix and what appeared to be choco pops, so I bought it to speed things up a bit (5 of 8 choco pops made so far). Now I have these DARK chocolate pops no one has heard of yet? Really, they should have a much different picture so they don't get confused with choco pops....I'm calling some bait and switch advertising here...

For the sake of those who purchased those packs, I really hope that the Dark Chocolate Pops are a real thing that we will need to craft later and not an oversight in the naming that has subsequently prevented them from being able to use them. Since they are being displayed (for me, anyway) as Grape Pop Mix and Apple Pop Mix and then the (apparently) Dark Chocolate Pops, hopefully they will be useful later.

Really, I wish the goals had been displayed with numbers, like 'Goal 6 of X: Grape Mix It Up' or something like that, so we'd have some idea of how many goals we need to plan for. It would help us decide if it's worth the effort to use gems, etc.

Don't forget those flowers. Maybe I missed those the first time around and they were purchasable decorations. However, I didn't see them as being purchasable, so are those new as well? Are those the "name" you listed? Maybe temporarily they could be "Ice Cream Flowers" (if they are the ones depicted in the picture).

So, I see the Ice Cream Cottage and the Chocolate Scoop Shrubs are coming up as prizes. Wasn't the Fudge Fountain also a prize from the original Sweet Retreat event? Maybe that's another upcoming prize.

My best guess, based on the previous recipes for the Pop Mix, the Grape Pop Mix, and the Apple Pop Mix, would be:

- 4 milk
- 2 sugar
- 2 dark chocolate

But this is only my guess. I could be wrong. Either way, though, I'd suggest crafting a lot of Dark Chocolate and to continue crafting a lot of sugar.

I apologize if I sounded critical of the "name" place-holder. I meant no offense.

Sadly, I think I missed the Sundae Mountain...it was probably before I had advanced enough to have the resources needed to keep up and finish an event (I missed out on a lot of them because I just couldn't get to the end). Though, if the Sundae Mountain was the grand prize then, I don't think they'll offer it a second time? Perhaps that beehive cake-looking thing is the grand prize this time around...

I'm going to be stuck at least another day crafting all 27 of the Grape Pop Mix (well, 11 more, anyway), and then 2+ days for the Apple Pop Mix (when I finally turn in the 8 Grape Pop Mix)...I hope I'll still have enough time to finish the last goals.

I wish I could start on that, but my upcoming Truck Delivery is requesting Milk Chocolate, and I need to fulfill this delivery because I'm running low on bronze bells (thanks to boosting the Windmills and the Chocolatier). Right now the only advantage is that the Grape Pop Mix takes 2 hours to craft, so I don't need to boost the Windmills at the moment--I have enough time to craft all the sugar I need.

Most of the information is located in posts #1 and #2, including quantities needed and the recipes for the different items. The latest goal, as reported by draughnc, uses milk chocolate, and depending on what goal you're on, you may need a LOT of milk chocolate.

The Dark Chocolate was speculation, because the purchasable package included "Dark Chocolate Pops", and so we may need to craft Dark Chocolate to make those. However, nothing has been confirmed yet about that recipe. For now, I'd concentrate more on the milk chocolate, since that takes longer and requires additional items to craft (milk and sugar).

Hi, now just doing this quick before I rush off to work, from my head you need:

12 creams
48 milks
24 milk choc boxes
24 powdered sugar
12 flour

Makes 12 frosty pink things, 24 cookies - you need 2 cookies and 1 pink thing to make 1 cream cookie, you have to make 12 of these.

Sorry gotta dash hope this helps, it takes a long time to craft as each cookie is an hour and half, pink thing only 15 mins but the cream cookies which you give take 2 hours 15 each xx

PLEASE GIVE MORE TIME

I’m currently on the Rainbow Pop goal, with approx 30 hrs more to go until I reach the Cream Cookies goal.
On my counter it says I have 7 days left but I think it’s more like 6 days n 12 hrs
By the time I reach the Cream Cookies goal, I will have 5 days and 6 hrs left
The Cream Cookies (according to above post) goals requires 12 pink Cream 15 minutes each which total 3 hrs. 24 regular cookies at an hr n half each is 36 hrs. 12 Cream Cookies at 2 hr 15 min each is 27 hrs. I really hope my calculation is off. This goal will shave off 66 hrs or nearly 3 days from my timer.
I will have a bit over 2 days left to complete this event.
I’m surprised to see fudge fountain as prize cause this tells me I will probably see the sundae mountain also before the bee cottage thing.
I know there’s still a lot of time left n maybe the last two or however many goals there are will be less time consuming I am not hopeful that I will finish this event.
I guess the second truck at 230 gems (250-20) is a must. I am willing to pay that amount for a pet, not for a truck though. Also, there is no pet advertised for this event so there really is no incentive for me to want to purchase the second truck.

I would really like to finish this event, even if there is no pet at the end. This is one event where I find relaxing n easy, the decos r sweet, too. Please consider giving more time if the rest of goals take just as long. Thank u.

A big thanks to all those that shared new goals n recipes. A real big help for planning ahead. Thank u.

Onward we march...
Throwing chocolate at everyone.
Time I don't know if we have enough cause I have ten more hours in Rainbow Pops
Then 66 hours for Fudge fountain
Going to assume Sundae Mountain is a few days...
Unless that beehive cottage is short.
With us unable to make items until a goal is complete
Like Pop Truck will be idle when using the Bakery for next goal...

That second truck would of cut the Rainbow Pops goal to two days from four days but we didn't know so we still going to get some of the prizes.

Only good thing we got really nice house and animal skins in the sweet Retreat event.

Sigh...on the plus side, since I'm trying to do all the Apple Pop Mix first, so as to plow through the Rainbow Pop goal quickly, I have time to craft all the other ingredients needed, like Milk Chocolate, Powdered Sugar, and later Dark Chocolate. On the minus side, I'm not sure my inventory will accommodate it all. I didn't want to buy another land expansion so soon after the last one, though I do have the papers and the coins...but it will open up space, so if I have to, I will.

I guess, since this event is going on for a few more days, I'll have time to earn back the spent coins before the next event.

The cookie sandwich is the same from fudge fountain goal so each one is 180+150 minutes. Which totals 330 minutes or 5 hrs n 30 minutes
I don’t know how many we need.
We have to give 12 cookie cream pop. If only one cookie sandwich is required to make 1 cookie cream pop n dark choco pop can be crafted same time as cookie sandwich, that is another 66 hrs. Not including time to craft cookiecream pop.
I still don’t see the bee cake looking thing.
I’m not going to finish this event.

This is the first recipe oriented event that I won’t finish.
The 66 hrs all from bakery can’t be shortened since flag boost don’t work and I don’t understand why other craft buildings can’t be used in conjunction with bakery, such as dairy building, to make ingredients, n to make the entire event more efficient.
This is not an achievable event for me, I started from day one, crafting nonstop. At this rate, I doubt I will even complete the sundae mountain goal.

I totally agree with you...
I too started hour one day one and my Pop Truck is only idle when there is no recipe in it to make.

WE NEED TIME ADDED ON.

I bought the extra truck during the sweet Retreat event but didn't really need so beings there wasn't a pet didn't buy it.

Or let us use the flags for the event items.
Or geesh a silver bell for a flag for the Pop Truck would be so fantastic.

Could someone from the storm 8 team please use a calculator and check the days against the hours that the goals require. And if the extra truck was needed to finish the event then give us a heads up on future events like this.

With events like this one is there usually some big prize at the end?

I started immediately on day one, and I'm 8nlg on goal 5,the crumbly cookie pop. I'm making the 3rd pop now, and I'll have the 4th pop made maybe by midnight, but if I fall asleep, then it till morning. THEN I'll finally be able to start the apple pop goal. There is no way I'll finish. If there were a pet I'd be annoyed. The milk chocolate needs r insanely time consuming. Plugging away.

Apparently we have less than 144 hours remaining in the event. If all the above math is correct and nothing changes, then I have approximately 48 hours to finish all the Apple Pop Mix, then 10 hours for the Rainbow Pop Mix, then another 66 for the Cookie goal (#9). That cuts my remaining time to less than a day to finish goal 10 (and any subsequent goals).

I'll continue pressing on, but unless something changes--judyandthecat's suggestion about using a Silver Bell to boost the Pop Truck, Storm8 recalculates the crafting time, etc.--I'm not hopeful of success. This may well be another Beaver event for me :(

I’m pretty sure Storm8 figured that the time needed if we all bought the extra truck on day one, would make the event doable - I’m also pretty sure most of us are doing this for entertainment and don’t have money ( $10.00 in gems ) to spend on something that will never be used in this game again. I’ve bought these boost things before using gems to finish, but this is totally ridiculous - we don’t know the ingredients needed for all levels of the goals, we don’t know how many stages there are, and I personally cannot and will not spend my entire weekend on this when weekends are family time. Storm8 needs to make the goals more realistic. Most of us do not have all day to sit and play this game so we can make enough sugar. I don’t even know how someone at a lower level can possibly have the space in their barn to hold all the ingredients needed. I see other players on this forum begging for more time since the goals are so challenging, so I’m pretty sure I’m not alone with this request: Go back to making the game fun again, and let us help one another by selling event parts rather than making us waste them. I have neighbors whose stores are still full of items from the last event - it says they have 12 items for sale, but that counter goes to zero when I tap on their store. You fixed the game to fill our barns up with stuff and wouldn’t let us sell it, even if we weren’t participating in the event, and again in this event we can’t sell items. It isn’t that I don’t have the gems - I have over 300, it’s that this event is only for decorations as far as I can tell.

I don't see how anyone with a job could finish this or any past goals. I'm disabled & play pretty much nonstop & I haven't been able to finish the last 3. I wish Storm8 would make these more obtainable! I think more people would play if they knew they could reach the end instead I just want to give up & not play at all!

I totally agree!! Storm8 needs to go back to us being able to finish a goal! I know the laid people off so I guess they weren't making enough money. I feel if the goals continue to be this frustrating their going to loose even more revenue. I don't mine buying value packs or gems every once in a while but we shouldn't have to spend a lot for every goal. I spent quite a bit on the last 2 goals & wasn't able to finish. I'm not making that mistake again!!

I need to know where I had gone wrong not able to finish this event so I took time and calculated total time needed to finish each goal. Please feel free to correct me in my numbers.

The following calculation assumes
1. Start event at hour one, day one.
2. All resources (milk, sugar, flour, milk chocolate etc) available, ready to craft first event item in each applicable craft building
3. No wait time for resources so continuous crafting
4. No second pop truck
5. No gems used to speed up

Goal 2: Stick It to Them Total time required. 4 hours 15 minutes
Since both Pop Mix and Cake Pops must be made in truck, 120 minutes for the 3 Pop Mix and then 135 minutes for the Cake Pops, which is 255 minutes or 4 hours 15 minutes. The edible mix is made in bakery and is 20 minutes each, the 3 will be done by the time the 3 Pop mix are done, so that time is not added on.

Goal 3: Cake Pop Creation Total time required 5 hours 25 minutes
Can't make Fried Pop Mix unless u have Pop Mix from truck, so 40 minutes into goal before u can deep fry the first one. For 3 fried ones Total time is 4 hours. U can't make the last fried pop until the last fried pop mix is done, so another 45 minutes.

Goal 4: Choco Pop Total time required 17 hours
8 Pop Mix take 320 minutes during which time u r cooking choco cookies n fudge drizzle. By the time all Pop Mix done, u start the first choco pop, unfortunately can't craft last choco pop until last fudge drizzle done, so that's 16 hours plus 1 hour total for this goal.

Goal 5: Cookie Pop Crunbles. Total time required. 18 hours
What I did here was put the first four choco cookies to make choco pops. The first four cookies took 6 hours but the 8 fudge drizzle took 8 hours. So my fifth choco cookie was in fryer for crumbling coating before I began choco pop. By the 12th hour, the other 3 crumble coatings r done. The 4 crumbly cookie pop took 6 hours total, so total time for this goal is 18 hours.

Goal 6: Grape Pop Mix. Total time required. 16 hours
Pop truck only, entirely sequential.

Goal 7: Apple Pop Mix. Total time required. 18 hours 40 minutes
Pop truck only.

Goal 8: Rainbow Pop. Total time required. 96 hours 20 minutes
Pop truck only.

Goal 9: Frosting on Cookie. Total time required. 66 hours
Bakery only.

Total time required to complete Goal 1-9 is 241 hours 40 minutes.
Event is 14 days, so that is 336 hours given to us to complete this event.
That means 94 hours left for Goal 10 and beyond.

The second truck is essential for this event, as it will reduce tons of time for goals 6, 7 and 8, especially 8 which takes a whopping 96 hours to do. I'm finishing goal 8, heading into 9, so it's too late for me to buy the second truck. There really is no hope for me to finish, am so sad really wish had a chance to win the bee Cake looking thing.

The above calculations may be correct - but they are mKing the assumption that we have no life other than playing this game 24/7 and/or that we have the ability to upgrade the all necessary machines to all the slots available so we can take a break once in a while - which doesn’t fit into the reality of real life, people with jobs, families... need I go on, Sorm8?

I remember one event where the time taken to create items was reduced. But I can't remember which event that was. I just do events now to gain experience points and to do something different than the usual farming activities (ie train and barn deliveries). I've been playing this game a long time and once there was a time when I was successful in events, but not anymore.

I like this event because it’s pretty laid back. You get a prize with every goal so even if I know I won’t finish, it doesn’t feel like I wasted my time. Since there is no pet awarded at the end I don’t care about not finishing. I’m not a person who puts too many decorations on my farm, and I remove or replace them often, so I don’t care about winning all the decorations. I feel like I can stop at any point for this reason.

I think it sucks more knowing you’re missing out on a pet when you don’t finish an event. Only because they usually cost too many gems or you don’t get a chance to get that pet again. But then again we have so many opportunities to win more pets that this isn’t a big deal either.

I agree that there is no pressure unless we put in on ourselves. I think what has most players upset who started this event is that it started off reasonably doable, but we're finding that as we move forward with each goal, the time limit is working against us. What is most frustrating, I think, is not that there isn't a pet at the end or that we can't finish, but that after working hard for so many days and making as much progress as some of us do, we will fail because of a lack of just a few hours, or maybe just one more day. It's that we put in all the effort, and come up just short of success.

And I think, for those of us who ended up in the same situation with the Beaver event--struck down by time--this is especially frustrating and galling.

Still, that won't stop me from doing my best to get to the end.

I have noticed that the time it takes to complete some of the goals is way too long and see why it is frustrating for people. I was just explaining why this type of event works for me and why I don’t feel the pressure or frustration others do (:
Some people want to make it to the end and won’t be able to but I just don’t care to finish since the end prize is probably that bee thing or some other decoration. (Not that they aren’t cool). For me this is just an event where I don’t have to put much effort in and still can get some prizes. With the beaver event It was a bit frustrating because it was a new pet and i personally love when we get pets that are not cats or dogs but i didn’t get it even though I tried. All I got was a bird house I didn’t care for so all that effort felt like a waste. This event is the total opposite.
But again, I completely understand why for others it is still just as frustrating.

Good luck to you! I am just trying to get the flower decorations cause I actually like those haha :p

I started this event 3 days late due to the ipad dying on me a few days into the last event while on vacation and it took 2 weeks to get a replacement. I have been reading the forum since I started the event hoping that I could caught up at some point but reading the time frames that is going to be impossible. I do wonder what task will finally give the bee hive decoration or the variety ice cone shrub. The shrub was really the only decoration I was working toward. I will finish task 7 but I don't know if I will start on task 8 since that will take 4 days.

Good luck to those players who are trying to get to the end.

One player posted a little earlier about an event where the team change the craft times. The only one that I remember is the event when they brought out the flower shop. The craft time on the candles were originally 24 hours and they changed the time to 6 hours.

So I've bailed out! I wish I could sale the items (like the dark choco pops, pop mixes & rainbow pops) that I've crafted for this event so maybe others could finish. I know we used to be able to do that & I think that's another reason it was easier to finish goals. Also, they would put all the recipes needed for the event in the buildings. Now the recipes are only available when you're on a specific goal so it's harder to cook in advance. Oh well!

I think the 24 Cookie sandwich is referring to this goal. The recipe for Cookie Cream Pop could be 2 Cookie sandwich and 1 dark choco pop

I bought pipers truck this time. I bought gems this time. But even with the truck, brass bell boosts and playing around the clock, there?s just no way. I don?t mind spending some money on the game but I feel hoodwinked. This will backfire on them because folks like me won?t waste their real money only to be taken advantage of. Does anyone know if we can use the items we have crafted for this event, like the pop mixes or choc pops, after the event is over? I paid real $ for the choco pops so I hate to throw them away if I can use them later.

Is there anymore for goal 12 or this goal 11 with the beehive is final ? No unicorn then ?

So I shouldn't bother finishing up the mission then? After buying the dark choco pops which are of no use? Then spending hours crafting all the necessary items. Even after this mission is over the items crafted are worth nothing when sold. Many spent REAL money on this game. Surely this has got to be a joke. I love this game but Storm8 you have some explaining to do :(

Why would you not want to finish.
All the prizes plus more are available to be won that was in the pic for the cake pops event.
The dark Choco Pops are used in Goal ten.
I like making items and getting decorations in return.
I would of liked a pet at the end but Storm8 never once said there was a pet.

Prizes from the Cake Pops Event
5 rocky road paths
2 cherry scoop shrubs
2 ice cream planters
2 Cookie stacks
2 vanilla scoop shrubs
1 ice cream cottage
2 Choco scoop shrubs
2 pop bushes
1 Fudge fountain
1 Sundae Mountain
1 Beehive ?

Recipes for Goal 10
In the Pop Truck
Dark Choco Pop: 1 dark chocolate, 2 cream, 1 milk
1 hour 10 minutes
Cookies and Cream pops: 2 dark Choco Pops (from Pop Truck ), I cookie sandwich (from bakery)
2 hours

Bakery total 66 hours again for the same 12 sandwiches from Goal 9

Totals
Pop Truck
24 dark Choco Pops
28 hours
Now the 12 Cookie and Cream Pops
24 hours

Pop Truck total 54 hours

The Pop Truck will be waiting on the items from the bakery
So event time will be 66 hours plus 2 hours in Pop Truck beings you have to make the last cookies and cream pop after everything is obtained from the bakery

So I think hour total is 68 for Goal 10

My poor cows...96 milk, I'm going to be needing for the 48 cream and 24 milk, plus whatever else might have been needed for Goal 9 (and goal 8? I've lost track). And now I'm wondering if I even have enough time left...

Wellp, I'm halfway thru goal 8 of the apple pops, and that will be my last. I'll take my chocolate scoop shrubs and call it a day. I need 4 days for the rainbow pops and there isn't time. That's ok. It wasn't a pet event so I'm fine with it. It was a challenge, tho.

If it's helpful, I'll keep making cream and sugar to sell to my neighbors, as I don't see those at all in the paper.

Welcome to the forum. :)

Dark Choco Pops are needed for Goal 10. See Post 1 and 2 of current thread for event info.

The event screen indicates the prizes for each event and there isnt a pet in that screen; Storm8 didnt promise a pet. FYI not all events and quests offer a pet. This event is a replica of both previous Sweet Retreat (iOS) and the End of Summer (Android) events and they didnt give a pet.

If you are referring to the mention of an unicorn, it was speculations started by players and this has been addressed earlier in thread. Whilst it's fun and perfectly fine to speculate, it unfortunately sometimes may lead to misunderstandings or disappointments. I would caution members to read posts carefully and nope it was not the fault of members who speculated nor Storm8. Like I mentioned, members are just having fun with speculations.

I would continue the goals if I were you. The decorations are lovely and no harm doing it since you have come so far and just for fun. Afterall we play games for fun. :)

Bother. I was trying to figure out if there is actually enough time left for me to finish this event. However, if the math is correct and both Goals 9 and 10 each take nearly 3 days each, then that's 6 days, and we have less than 4 days to go. I can't make it.

I even tried going back and calculating if the 14 days (was it really 14 days?) would have been enough time, but my math got screwed up around goals 4 and 5: all the milk chocolate needed for 2 different items totally mixed me up. Because if one assumes that milk chocolate had to be crafted along the way, that means at least 48 milk chocolate, which would be 3 days, except that using a boost would cut that in half to 1.5 days, but then you need to add in 16 hours for 2 goals' worth of the drizzle, and then another 20 hours for 2 goals' worth of pops, and...well, you get the picture. Too difficult to count, especially when we could buy milk chocolate, but there was no guarantee, and the milk chocolate got the boost but the drizzle didn't...

Sorry, the math is just too complex at this point with too many variables affecting everything. But I'm pretty sure that, short of buying that second truck AND using gems, boosts, and every other shortcut possible, there's no way the average player could manage to fully complete this event. I might be wrong, though. But if I'm right...well...

If you go to post two page one the recipes are listed for each goal.
The recipes are available for the goal you are on at that moment.
Yes the prizes are all decorations but really nice for the valentine holiday.
So you might as well keep crafting event items and go as far as you can.

I just finished and the beehive cake is it. Pretty disappointed.

Just curious if you ever sleep during this event - and also if you kept track of how much real cash you spent for gems to be able to accomplish it all - I feel your pain of disappointment - and I?m still only making rainbow pops. This has to be one of the most challenging events in my 3+ years of playing! Seems like we used to get a lot more information at the beginning of each event from a Storm8 staff member, or a moderator, which helped us anticipate what was coming next. And we also used to have a couple of days warning us that an event was coming.

I sleep. But I play constantly.
* between meetings
* during boring meetings
* when I roll over at night sometimes
* midnight trips to the potty
* while I'm watching TV.

I'm not disappointed at all here. Beaver? Disappointed and annoyed. Turkey. Same. This one was obvs meant to be really hard and time consuming. And I just figured, I got the decorations I was able to achieve, no harm no expenditure. But I choose not to use gems or pay $ for these decorations. Those folks who really love them enough to spend, hey, ur dime, go for it. Now if there was a pet, I personally would probably have spent, depending g on the pet.

I really thought a unicorn was out there. Totally was wrong.

I would have purchased pipers truck if I k ew a unicorn was offered, but not for decorations. Unless star trek decorations happen one day...

I got past level 10 but when I saw level 11 I decided to stop as I dont think I will finish in the alloted time, I did use real money for more gems to speed up each craft, bit silly I guess as I did it twice!! ha ha, I dont mund occasionally spending real money if it helps keep the game going, this was a good but hard event, quite enjoyed doing it though as it really does help you get in to a conveyor belt way of thinking, and proves making all those milk choccy boxes is easier than we think lol, just need to expand my farm a bit now to show off the decorations lol xx

Short of a miraculous extension of this event, I believe I have reached the limit. I will be able to complete Goal 9 (Frosting on the Cookie) but not Goal 10 or 11. There simply is not enough time remaining for me to make a second 66+ hours' worth of cookies/frosting/etc.

Sigh. I'm disappointed that I'm forced to surrender and fail a second event in a relatively short span of time. But, I guess that's just the way things are going to be when I'm unable to use gems to speed things along. Oh well.

I used gems to speed up thinking I have a chance to complete goal 11, unfortunately I won’t be able to complete the last goal because aside from the Cream pop n deliveries, the goal also asks us to Give 15 Rocky Pop. I’m unable to post a photo from my iPad, I don’t know why. For those of u that r thinking of speeding up to complete the last goal, please beware that the last goal has a Give part, scroll down.

Rocky Road Ahead
Send deliveries 20
Get Candy Rocks
Get Cookie Cream Pop
Give 15 Rocky Pops

Recipe for Rocky Pops (pop truck)
2 Candy Rocks
1 Cookie Cream Pop (this is the one we gave away for goal 10)

Basically to do goal 11, we need to repeat goal 10.

I had done calculations for hours required for each goal with just one pop truck, at end of goal 9 with 94 hours remaining, if goal 10 requires minimum 68 hrs, then that left 26 hrs for goal 11. This is impossible as to do goal 11 we need to repeat 10. Anyway, congrats to those that got the beehive deco, I don’t know how u do it, it’s truly amazing feat.

To Storm8, I can’t say I enjoyed this event much, as it’s too time consuming n overly repetitive, but I did give my best, plus gems. Time to go back to those train deliveries.

PookieBear50
01-18-18, 01:16 AM
So, let me see if I'm understanding this correctly. Out of the 14 days for this event, at a minimum...

- 1 day total for Goal 1, Goal 2, and Goal 3
- 1 day each for Goal 4, Goal 5, Goal 6, and Goal 7, though there is likely some overlap here and there
- 4 days for Goal 8
- 3 days each for Goal 9, Goal 10, and Goal 11

Perhaps my math is wrong, and again there will be overlap and these are all approximations, but it looks like a player not using any boosts, not using gems, not getting assistance (buying some non-event items from the newspaper and neighbors), and only having the one truck would need around 18 days to finish the event.

I guess I was doomed to fail all along...

Well this isn't nice.
Going to upgrade post one as I was going to be done Goal 10 at 11 am this morning and had not actually seen Goal 11 yet.
So I too now will not be able to finish I thought it was the Pop candy from the plane deliveries.

It just took 68 hours to make those 12 Cookie Cream Pops in goal 10that we GAVE INSTEAD OF MADE.

Now they want 15 instead of 12 increasing the time from goal 10
It is approximately 7 hours per Cookie Cream Pop
5 hours bakery and 2 in Pop Truck
7 times 15 is 105 hours

Previous events like this.
Was make say ten of the event item in say Goal 10
Then you gave or used the 10 items in the next goal.

I started this event day one minute one my bakery and whatever machine was never idle.
I had great neighbours that were not participating that provided me with milk chocolate etc
So I never had to wait on those items.
I came up several days short of finishing.
I think the error in this event was
First day goal item should of been make
Next day goal item should of been use the item that you just spent three days making
Instead we gave and then had to remake the items all again.
If you didn't have the second truck this event was not possible.
Unfortunately I am the proof.
I am not getting the beehive prize.

I am not short just a couple of hours but DAYS

What I have now learnt for future events....the rules have changed unfortunately.
Especially if a pet is the REWARD

If a building or vehicle is for sale that is going to reduce the time to finish the event it is no longer a luxury item making the event easier but it is a necessity or you won't be able to finish.

I am a player that plays nonstop and before this event I was usually able to finish.
I am glad though this test run event was for a decoration and not a pet.

Going to have to do a lot more trains if I want the pet in future events because I will have buy the extra truck or building in order to finish the event.

I want to echo my disappointment regarding the time limits for the Pop Truck event. It is IMPOSSIBLE to complete this event with only one truck operating 24 hours a day unless you purchase the special boxes and/or spend a lot of gems. Essentially the event then becomes only a tool to make money for Storm8. I would actually be okay with this option if the game designers disclosed this information upfront before we all started with the hope of earning the grand prize only to be disappointed by the imposed time limits. I guess this is becoming the MO for this company... I quit playing Castle Story for the same reason...in order to earn the unique prizes, you had to plan on spending money for every event. Somehow this takes the "POP" out of playing...just my 2 cents

I agree. I wouldn't mind having some of the recipes continue. At the very least, unless we need them for Truck or Train orders, we wouldn't need to craft them in the large, time-consuming quantities we needed for this event. The variety, at least, would offer something different.

Off-hand, I'd say the truck was not used properly. If, perhaps, the Cookie Sandwiches had been made in the truck instead of in the bakery--which might actually make more sense--then the time limit of 2 weeks might have been manageable as we shifted crafted items from the Chocolatier to the Bakery to the Pop Truck. Instead, there was an entire goal--one that took upwards of 70 hours (nearly 3 days)--during which the truck sat entirely unused with no recipe available for crafting. That hardly makes sense.

This event was ridiculous. First, I accidently bought the truck for 250 gems (10 dollars) and then I bought two value packs (10 dollars each) and I STILL DIDN'T GET THE PRIZE! Even if i used the rest of my 300 gems I would not be able to win. This and the beaver event are the only events that I attempted and lost. And on top of that, THERE WAS NO PET PRIZE!

I was really hoping for a time extension.
No beehive for me....unbelievable.
Goal 11 over one hundred hours.

At least you got to the Sundae Mountain again. I fall short and miss that prize...again. Oh, well. I can't miss what I didn't have (except that's not really all that much consolation, to be honest, lol).

THIS. How did it make sense to set an entire sequential-recipe goal in one crafting building, and at the very end of the event too?

Congratulations to those who managed to get to the end of this event.

I have played this game for many years and will continue to play.
But now I will choose my events instead of playing every event.
And I am a player that can hardly wait for the next event...never wanting a day without an event.

This is a sad day for me.

Where did you hear this from? Are you sure that it is true? I hope that what you said is not true because I really don't have enough gems, nor am I going to buy hundreds of gems gems and value packs for 10+ dollars every single event. I spent roughly $30 real money and still didn't complete it.

Speculation from this event.
If I want the grand prize from a future event I won't take a chance on not buying the extra building.
I did not buy the extra truck this time and that was the reason I could not finish the event.

And BOTH trucks would have sat idle through the bakery only level of 70 hours!! Ugh

UGH is right and I needed that second truck to win
************************************************
48 hours plus 17 hours plus 12 hours
Total savings with second truck...approximately
3 days 6 hours would of been shaved off

***************************************

Goal 6
Pop Truck
16 hours

Goal 7
Pop Truck
18 hours 40 minutes

Goal 8
Pop Truck
4 days 20 minutes

Goal 9
Total bakery does not reduce pop truck time
68 hours

Goal 10
Pop Truck waiting on items from bakery
So second truck would not help much

Goal 11
Again need bakery event items so second truck not going to save time until after you have the fifteen sandwiches

Bakery 15 sandwiches is 75 hours

************************************************
Big time save would of been Goal 8 the Rainbow Pops
Minus two days 10 minutes

Goal 6 and 7
Minus 17 hours 20 minutes

Goal 11 time savings not calculated exactly
Because bakery takes 75 hours approximately
After bakery and Cream Pops made as bakery items come out
So
15 rocky Pops
Almost 24 hours
So minus 12 hours with second truck
************************************************
48 hours plus 17 hours plus 12 hours
Total savings with second truck...approximately

We should NOT have to constantly buy items to complete a quest. In addition, Storm 8 needs to realize when creating these events the time that is required is not realistic for those of us that have full time jobs. I did not complete this quest or the beaver quest. Please look at the response to your "polls" and take those statistics into consideration when developing these events. If timelines continue to be unrealistic, you're going to lose more and more players.

Well, now all that remains is selling off all the extra now-unusable stuff, working around the excessive amount of milk chocolate I still have until I can use them up, and figuring out what to do with the Pop truck...which, even after the event, still gives its melodious chime when you tap it.

I'm thinking maybe I'll reorganize my farm so that most of the buildings have their own individual 4x4 "lot" with its own unique (and hopefully appropriate) decorations, and maybe leaving the truck outside the Ice Cream Cottage, as though it belongs to it (which it sort of does). I just need to see if I have enough space to pull it off or not.

On second thought, though...with Valentine's Day coming up, maybe I should hold onto the Milk Chocolate. I may need it all if Storm8 gives us a Valentine's Day event...

It might be...but, there are still 3 weeks between now and Valentine's Day...Storm8 may squeeze in another short event in between and start the Valentine's Day event ON Valentine's Day. So, there's no telling what it will be.

I'm halfway to hoping it's a Leaderboard event so that I can justify my non-participation, lol. But a County Fair event would be welcome after this disappointing fiasco.

The event was, for the most part, enjoyable. The recipes were interesting and the text preceding each new set of goals was amusing. If various Cake Pops were to become a part of the regular game, they would make for interesting choices, as well as additional uses for the Milk Chocolate. Not that everything needs to have multiple uses, but Milk Chocolate--like Dark Chocolate--seem more intermediate step products than final products, which the Orange Chocolate, Chocolate Pudding, Chocolate Strawberry, and Chocolate Banana are. And other recipes (Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Ice Cream, Chocolate Sauce) all use Dark Chocolate rather than Milk Chocolate, so the recipes from this event were novel.

The other recipes--Grape Pop Mix, Apple Pop Mix, Rainbow Pop, Fudge Drizzle, etc.--could be repurposed and added as well.

Despite my best efforts, I was not able to complete all the goals, only completing Goals 1 thru 9. Following from judyandthecat's math, as well as the math of other players, it seems there was no way I would have been able to complete all 11 goals without buying a second truck early in the event...something which I could not do, having limited funds to work with and not enough accumulated gems to buy it. As a result, I feel a little *****ed out of succeeding, made slightly worse by the fact that I missed the 2nd to final prize again (I missed it during the first Sweet Retreat event) as well as the final prize, but I am also slightly consoled by the fact that at least I am not alone in my frustration.

One thing--which I mentioned before in an earlier post--is that I feel the Pop Truck was underutilized or utilized incorrectly. As has been noted, for all of Goal 9 the Truck was NOT used, equating to about 3 days in which it sat with no recipes available, while everything else--the Choco Cookies, the Cream Frosting, and the Cookie Sandwiches--were crafted solely in the Bakery. Had only the Cookies and the Frosting--or perhaps just the Cookies--been made in the Bakery and the Frosting and the Sandwiches in the Truck, it would have made much more sense.

The prizes being offered were all right, though since I already had nearly the whole set from the previous Sweet Retreat event, they were somewhat redundant for me. However, I may be able to use the doubled prizes to positive effect, so they are helpful. I wouldn't mind seeing the final prize displayed on someone's farm, but from the posts in the thread, it seems that the Beehive Cake (or so I assume it might be) is not all that impressive. I may be wrong, however.

For future reference, knowing the number of eventual goals in advance (maybe listing as "Goal X of Y") would be helpful in determining whether players should press on or--since goals inevitably increase in difficulty--quit while they are ahead. Also, being provided with a heads-up (as we received previously on some events) by at least 3-5 days (maybe the beginning of the week the event starts) would be appreciated. Even if we guess incorrectly as to what might be involved, at least we could have some time to (potentially) prepare for it. For example, had I known in advance that I might need a LOT of Milk Chocolate, perhaps it would have been easier to complete one or two earlier goals instead of having to wait for Milk Chocolate to finish crafting and then choosing between making Choco Cookies or Fudge Drizzle. The wording in the heads-up could be one way to hint at (but not actually give away) what might be needed.

Overall, this was not as disastrous as the Beaver Event, though I am still frustrated by my inability to complete the goals.

Why was the beaver event so disastrous? I finished it easily with a day to spare. I mean, I didn't get my beaver (game glitch) but I didn't find the challenge hard. Was there something I missed?

You may want to read about the hardships a lot of players complained about in the Beaver event thread. But congratulations to you on finishing the event!
