yes, VERY annoying indeed! I use 2 diff strategies to try to combat setbacks due to crashing.
1- On a 'normal crashing day' if I don't crash right after battling, I immediately go to the mine (either side) and use up a bomb.
2- if I'm crashing at a greater than average rate, I try to remember to exit the game, battle as soon as I come back in and then go to the mine.
(I read where someone said they went mining so it's not my original idea.)
It takes extra time but it's worth it to me. I don't always remember but the above strategies really do help to avoid repeat battles most of the time.

Wardrum is prooving himself to be a very good fighter against yellow type hybrids.
Mithril against blue ones,
Amazon vs green and so on...
Pyramid, Metal, Diamond are good against Champions,
Diamond usually beats its own type of dragons.

A High level Metal but it's only Rare so try Breedable Super Rare or Unbreedable like the not so Gentle Knight

Such as Bronze Metal/Red it's Unbreedable so it's 3 points more higher than a Breedable Rare dragon such as Metal

Then I'd try my Saphire gemstone/blue

Hit the colors pink and white with highest level super rare you have (no cosmic cuz it's points for white not against lol)

White Use Blue, Stone, Rainbow, Champion
Pink Use Gold, Fairytale, Gemstone, Champion

DS is a memory hog, plus I think there's probably a memory leak in their software code. Devices with more RAM (not hard drive memory) and using faster, less populated networks do best.

Spooky type dragons use black smoke magic so I treat Spooky dragons like black dragons. Black is weak against white and green. Tarot types use purple magic. I treat them like purple dragons and purple is weak against pink and green. Arcane and bomb dragons use bubble magic. I treat them as blue dragons and use yellow against them. Elemental dragons use fire magic. These are tricky but I use yellow or blue against them first as red is weak to those colors. Sometimes I will use red types or purple types against them too with the exception being if Ignis (elemental/red) is the opponent.

It?s round 20 and I hate to quit. I shut down my iPad a couple times too. Warden was easy! This one is brutal, lol. Ideas? Thanks!

I hope you have already won this round but in case u haven't I used Bramble dragon lvl 13 l. Level of dragon doesn't matter much when the opponent gets on higher levels. Plus a surprise always does wonders. Use a dragon u haven't used before, baby or adult doesn't matter.

Yes, that had happened to me a few times. It happened while the game is refreshing while inside the arena. Fortunately, the game never saved the battle result and i was able to go back in the arena.
