you're right, u.s. thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth thursday of november (edited because there are 5 thursdays in nov this year lol). :) so this is the announcement for the upcoming black friday sale. thanks for all your helpful threads, by the way, vanacatu!

At least the boxes are on sale in this game... I got the teacup fountain at last, a fairy grotto, a couple of fourth places I?ve always wanted (lily lamp, hunny bunny, tea cupboard). I had a gem sale but it disappeared after the Black Friday sale started. I tried four times got mostly third and fourth place. I wanted the Gladiolus fountain but got some cheap flower decorations. The only thing thing I got was nice is a pansy tea cabinet . This sale was a disappointment.

Do storm8 realise that a Black Friday sale is supposed to be the sale of the year. I've bought boxes as that is all there is for me. There's nothing that hasn't been on sale before.

I see all of the boxes are on sale. That's obviously how they make their money. Why put things out for sale when we can keep throwing our gems at the chance of getting something you'd like. An absolutely rubbish sale at any time of the year!

You have many loyal followers, like me, who have played the game for years and love it. You used to have wonderful customer service,an update each week and a goal each month.
*Customer service is gone
*Goals,if you choose to do them, are way to frequent and expensive
*Some goals,not all,are poorly timed and not season/holiday appropriate

We held out hope for the much anticipated sale, but again most are disappointed. Here is why:
*Fewer sale items then last year
*The few design items offered exactly the same as last year-nothing New
*No ovens
*No expansion sale
*No return of gem dispenser

You have players willing to spend $$$ on the game but you have to listen to them and give them something in return. My big fear is that you will lose more and more of your loyal base and give up on Bakery Story completely. Please don’t let the game end up like Fashion Story which has not had an update in nearly a year.
Listen to your players,give them what they want and you will thrive:)

I don't understand some crates. In the list (of this forum) it's appear "Holiday Gift Box 2010". On the sale, appears three different and similar: "Holiday Gift", "Holiday Box" and "Holiday present". I've opened one of each on that order. I got a "Gingerbread lamp" (it should be on "Gingerbread Box"), a "Stuffed reinder" (similar crate) and a "Mini ferris wheel" (it should be on "Christmas Present 2012").

They asked for feedback in forum for what items we would like. What do they do? Bring back exact same as last year. There are TONS and TONS of other Holiday items they could have done. Come on Storm! I am sure there will be a release for Chistmas time. Maybe then we will get what we have been asking for.
I want the snowman stove, snowman oven, snowman wallpaper and tiles, penguin hockey wallpaper, magic of christmas, and on and on. Why NOT release every Christmas/Winter related item and leave it there for 2 months for everyone to be able to get.
This would benefit Storm as many would buy gems. For this sale I didn't have to purchase any. It didn't help Storm. Listen to what your customers want please!

Theres a barista bundle, an Easter bundle, and an urban bundle. I'm not too excited about any of those since I have most of the stuff and a lot of it is available for coins anyway but the urban bundle does have a rare item in it... I'd post pics but idk how to do that.

Yeah I get you... But maybe they'll release these items separately soon as part of the sale. I remember when the mariachi fiesta bundle was available I bought it just for the mariachi band that I was missing and I ended up wasting many gems because I had everything else except the band and then about a week later when the sale was over they released everything separately for way less gems. Everyone was able to buy only what they wanted/needed as opposed to the whole thing so maybe they'll do that again

We haven't had a regular update or even new crates since the layoff, and many goal items are from RS.

But see, i started BS sinced it came out which is 2011 , i think that , they've worked so much throughout these years and i believed they are trying something new , of course i do hope they would listen to our heart , being the true santa claus this year , i appreciate all the hard work theyve given.

Dear s8 , if , if you really ,there and read our comments and couldnt think of something new , well bring back the old goals , whatever goal it is , make a poll , let the player votes from some comebacks , bring up competition like you used to , i know , i do love the idea of bringing back old appliances with new recipe but if anyone could notice , its just the same design , different colours and name , it made player thinks that youre not putting effort in designing anymore, if it makes sense. Less than 6 deco are brought back , not even one old appliances , yup that is reallllly disappointing.

overall , i really do hope that for all these years s8 , dont giveup , there are loyal players as long as the creators are still loyal to the game.
we love BS and thats why i think we shouldnt keep our words.

The “Holiday Gift Box” apparently is the gingerbread one in disguise. I don’t know if they renamed it, or it’s a glitch or SOMEthing. After reading the comments in the thread, I decided to give it a go and I got the Gingerbread Tree and Gingerbread Lamp. I made a mistake of tapping the “holiday box” and got a coat rack that I don’t want. So make sure you tap on the one that says “Holiday Gift Box” cuz there are MANY boxes that have similar names lol

Update: I got the 2nd place prize - Gingerbread House!! Woohoo!! :D:D:D

Bought the cafe pack for 100 gems! Really didn?t need anything in it other than barista counter though. Also bought 10 crates (holiday gift and cake and tea box) I got gingerbread house, soldier, greeter, reindeer, basket, icing counter twice, honey and jams, gingerbread lamp, and ms. Confectionary! Pretty happy overall!

Dear Cartoc6, No need to worry when your favorite flooring is unavailable. With wallpaper or flooring you can just continue to click and the game will let you buy as much as you want. So if you like a limited edition floor tile, buy at least 2-3 tiles then you can always add more when you?re ready.

Overall I'm enjoying this sale but it could have been so much better. I'm just buying a lot of tiles, counters and am happy to see some nice chairs and tables return. I also really like the Windows, the pillars and I did buy the fireplace stockings too. I've also tried my luck with a few crates that never go on sale otherwise and also the removed ones but I wish they would've released more of the items on the list of requests. I do want to try my luck with a few more crates but I'm just waiting to see if they release more items before I spend my gems. It's just frustrating not to know.

these items are only on sale until tuesday. certain items will be removed; others might stay. only s8 will know (or not know lol) which items will stay on the game after tuesday. if you want something, get it now. some might never be seen again.

Sorry for the confusion but yes I meant the cafe bundle instead of barista bundle lol I just couldn't remember the exact name and was too lazy to go back and check. I thought the urban was the rare item as I haven't really seen many bakeries with one but I've seen a lot of the barista now since they released it last year... Shame they didn't release these items individually this year so everyone could get them :(

Congratulations on your prizes! I'm a bit jealous but in a good way. I tried my luck with the crates and went a bit crazy. I opened 19 in total and all I got were 4th and 3rd place prizes (only 2 repeats so not too bad). I'm pretty happy with my lot but I didn't get anything spectacular this time! I've still got a lot of gems left but I refuse to gamble anymore and will hold out for the hopes of a winter sale. Good luck to anyone still trying!
