new player - what dragon to breed for arena

hi all

I am a new player (lv50) and I need some advice about what dragon to breed for battle arena. I don't have a diamond dragon, or a champ, yet.

So, please advice. I am a very patient dad, I play this game just for my daughter fun.

For your first Diamond I would keep breeding a blue/green hybrid with a yellow/red hybrid. On one account I bred Mermaid/Firemane for my first diamond and my other account I bred Atlantis/Firemane.

So, diamond dragons are important for Arena ? except this, what "easy" dragons should I breed ?

StY away from blue/green and white/yellow. Both useless in battle. Also not much use for tropic type in my experience. Breed for any super rare blue/purple, pink/purple, black/green and pink (black swan!)Rainbow type is also super useful, especially rainbow/white, rainbow/yellow. If you don't yet have diamond, metal is beat for champions in tournaments. Breed blue/white to get him. When you get a good one, feed and raise to lvl 15 if possible.
