Gloriosa
9 Possible dragons from Air/Fire ranging from 8 to 16 hours.

Over 20 attempts for Gloriosa to no avail. This will be 4th Tales in a row unfinished because of failure to hatch common Dragon. I take comfort in the gold saved that would almost certainly have been invested in battle wins needed in later chapters.

I cant understand the logic behind making luck so vital a factor. Surely others like me no longer spend their gold in events where completion depends on factors beyond our control.

I don’t know for certain but I’d say it’ll auto start Sunday November 19 at 10:30 am pst. Then it’ll make the 10th chapter be Tuesday Nov 28, so your last chapter is on reset day... so you’d have a small amount of overlap with the next event.

Yes, that's why I didn't compete to be 1 or 2 on leaderboard. Not worth it if I can't bring the dragons out. I will do this and see what I can sell off, but they need to up the number of dragons per habitat to 4.

Making it 284,690 food for the main two dragons (60K less than normal) - can someone double check my maths. Hard to believe they’d lower the food amounts!

If you would have to spend gold to finish the event (to buy food etc), it might be worth noting that the Imp token can be purchased in the spell shop for 300 gold.
I think that might be the route I'll take. I find the second and third dragons not too interesting, the first one I kind of like. I have a gold sale today. So I think I'm going to buy some gold today, do the event only till getting the first dragon and then decide on black Friday: either I'll buy something off the black Friday sales or, if those don't have anything good, I'll buy the imp.

I don't have the math on it but you also have to raise the Gloriosa to level 6 so that food should be included as well. Since it's a common I hope it doesn't account for that 60,000 missing food! Thanks for doing the math on the main two!

Gloriosa is less than 3,000 food to get to a level 6. So that’s not a big impact.

Just fed my Bramble dragon from level 4 to 14. I didn’t pay attention to the food it takes to put him in to evolve that first time, but I can confirm I used 174,100 food to go from 4 to 14. So that’s lower than usual.

And why do they continue to introduce new commons for which there is no room for. Why are there now 3 red/yellow commons? Total ****!

Totally agree, every player in high levels know how rigged it is, but the powers that be only care about new players. They also make them non tradeable what a joke every thing that they want us to breed has the same fails, purple and blue= neo bubble, now yellow and red= hoot, what next?

I believe the timer is not unique to each player and the day resets for everyone at the same time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played in a year but this is how it has always been for me previously.

Thats correct. Tales are unique based on the day you start them, not the hour. My day 8 could be your day 7 but we advance to our respective next day at the same time.

The habitat (for those who have space for a habitat) for this event does not complement the event dragons. In fact, the new "common" (lol) we have to breed can't even be placed in it. I generally like to keep event dragons together and I think others do as well.

I didn't realize that was how the timer worked. :) Usually, I begin the DTs (that sounds awful:D) in the late morning/early afternoon hours, but I started this one in the middle of the night. I think that is why I never noticed before? I actually liked getting the first 2 Chapters out of the way quickly, so I think I will start activating the Tales a couple hours before game reset from now on.

I thought this was a story book and not a tournament? There are nine battles in the last three chapters! Some have to be fought with your new baby Sky Fyre dragon and I am up against ultra rares in the bingo. Another event bites the dust!

I used the same combo but got different result "Wooden" very very tricky. I think the breeding result depends also on the level of the dragons. Anyway good luck to all! Let's see how long I will go on with this.

Not much of a problem actually.. Only 3 evolution are required.. So if bramble is put for evolution from 3 to 4 in the night between day 3 and 4 (depends upon which part of the world you stay, for me reset time is 1.30 pm, so I usually do the evolution at night, finish it at 10.30 morning and start a quest which finishes by 1.30 pm), for level 7 evolution night between day 4 & 5, and for level 10 between day 5 & 6, all evolutions are complete.. You wouldn’t get anything for breeding Fire Dragons as it is time based so presumably you would need to be breeding an Air dragon at least.

I thought this was a story book and not a tournament? There are nine battles in the last three chapters! Some have to be fought with your new baby Sky Fyre dragon and I am up against ultra rares in the bingo. Another event bites the dust!

If they keep making a tournament out of tales I won?t participate anymore it is hard enough to complete without this.

This tales has been unlucky for my other account too - I used precious gold to speed up to try to get gloriosa. Took nearly 100 gold. I was still 2 days behind (I started day one because I needed the weekends to be able to finish a Tales). Then I bred a diamond dragon from the “Breed Bramble Dragon with Gloriosa Dragon.” UGH. >:(

I fed my Sky Frye up to a 12 right away for the battles in chapter 9. I have to admit, this is not a bad dragon in battle, there have been a lot worse, the color combination is useful. Today I took down a blossom 11 and immovable 8 in the tourney.

By day 9 I had all the quests completed and that's after missing a day earlier in the event. The lower food requirement was awesome. Waiting for my last music note to finish crafting and then the final day tomorrow.

I had a neighbor already requesting the chapter 10 act 1 fey Keys. So maybe someone out there knows? But I’d be surprised if they announced an expansion via the end of a Tales that not everyone can finish.

I agree with you on the timing. It would have been nice to have an expansion before black Friday sale. I'm not landlocked yet but I feel so bad for those players that are.

I was talking about Gloriosa with my hunny and evidently he bought the ridiculous gold common dragon so I would keep planning with Tales. That S8 dropped off my comment about Gloriosa being impossible to happening for the week I spent baking a annoying common dragon on Tales. S8 doesn’t approve anyone passing the ridiculous way Tales is not the fun it used to be. Bet S8 reduces my comments again about the impossible comment I left about trying to pass a common dragon that S8 wants you to spend 200 gold for a idiot Gloriosa.

Send in a ticket ASAP - it's happened to my account too. Finished the tournament and it restarted battles to be at battle 1. I messaged them and they put my egg in storage that I should've gotten as a prize. If you look at the signature of Kooky Panda's posts she includes the link to send in a ticket.

For that exact reason I created 5 backup accounts for ridiculous requests like these from Tales. It still takes too long to receive the needed item from neighbors but requesting the items from the backup accounts guarantees you'll get them in a timely manner.

The only way i avoided struggles with this stage this time was by starting day 10 early. The time difference makes an extra issue for me as many of my online friends are in USA. If i wait for the final morning i only hace a few UK friends to ask from. Asking the night before meant i got all 5 within 10 minutes, in fact 7 or 8 responses, and all from USA or Canandian friends.

Has anyone else found that Dragon Story is constantly crashing and, when it does, actions previously done are lost. I was nearing the end of "A Fey Sky" and had just won a fight with my Diamond Grade 15 dragon beating a Grade 6 Daywing Dragon when it crashed and when I returned to the game the fight had not been recognised. I therefore had to fight again and this time my Diamond dragon lost! I then had to wait another hour to fight and 2 hours to use the Diamond dragon again.
I did this and got to the last fight when it happened again. This time I had even taken a screen shot of the win but it didn't register and then I had to fight a much higher grade dragon. Fortunately I had sufficient time so I managed this and have now received the Gold Fyre Dragon, but it is very frustrating.
This has happened several times previously to battles and various other actions - quests etc. After every crash I now have to remember to check what has been recognised.

Last month I had to spend 23 dolars in gold to finish the events EXCEPT Tales which I refuse to Tod the price is to high. I had 450 whatever's after getting the dragon I worked for all month.

This month I purposely spent ZERO gold on any event and came up short in all including the all month to earn dragons.

What that means is I'm still here to get the three dragons, I won't quit until I have, and to play the tournaments.

Storm 8 has ruined everything else.

I just completed the tale. I wanna thank all my nbrs that responded to my request, and thankfully the 4 battles were easy and didn't include a champ. I also have enough points to FINALLY craft Solar Fyre, it took forever, but I made it. It will be on the nest in the few hours.

From reading this, it seems like you already have your answer...like you said adding another imp won’t be doing much since you already have a couple fairytale types and one in your main account, so going for the adventure tickets would be the wiser choice b/c at least your working towards something.

I can only imagine how frustrating that is - I've had some mishaps due to glitches, but thankfully not often nor as severe. :mad:
