Free Gold after inactivity

Does anybody know how many days you must not open the game before you can get 5 free gold?

I?ve never gotten free gold from inactivity that I can remember. I recently picked up the game again after not playing it for probably a year, and I got no gold.

I am not aware of any games that gives free gems or gold for not playing.
Where did you see or hear about this?

Just opened the app on my phone after a couple months (play more often on my iPad) and was given 150 gold for returning. When I go 1-2 weeks not playing on my iPad there I sometimes get 5 gold for coming back.

I get 10 every week and a half ... eventually in 5-6 years, we can have all the characters ��
