This wasn't normal... for set A,B,C 2 coin dish should give 11/12 not 3 and 4 coin dish 45/46 not 27.. was obviously a glitch and thankfully all is back to normal!!

Maybe i am the only one. But what is the whole purpose of the "The success of the Mad Doctor" goal? 16 steps just to win a Golden Stamp on the end? I am at step 11 or so, and ask myself why should i cook that much for a golden stamp, i have over 100 of these. It's lot of cooking for some coins, a star, 4 helping hands and a golden stamp.

The goal is not connected to the cruise prize (a recipe of your choice with an essence).

Have you guys selected Frankie by clicking [Exchange] button in Frankie's Essence goal? Frankie will only show up after you have made a selection on who to have. You should see both Frankie and Francine options in your goal list, click Goal List button. Try visiting a neighbour or restarting your game if you have already made your selection to get him to show up.

I am am still a bit unclear as to the contents of your post #3 though. Could you check it to make sure the information is entered correctly? I chose to get Francine as my character and received the shocking soda, not the electric tonic.

I am am still a bit unclear as to the contents of your post #3 though. Could you check it to make sure the information is entered correctly? I chose to get Francine as my character and received the shocking soda, not the electric tonic.

Since clicking on Francine I notice that I can still exchange for Frankie. I don’t want Frankie as I prefer Francine. But do we still have the ability after choosing Francine to exchange for Frankie? I still see a 3 day timer beside Frankie.




ETA : I made Francine’s drink and went back to try to click on the “Exchange for Frankie” green button since it wasn’t grayed out. Thankfully nothing happened :)

When you start each day of the cruise you will see the #of gems it will cost to complete the cruise day. The #of gems is located on the right side of the dishes you need to cook in the catering area.


Each dish is designated or worth a certain number of gems. That designation or value is represented by ?ship coins? located below each of the dishes. So stew has a four ?ship coin? designation. Once you deliver the stew to the cruise, you will notice the number of gems required to complete the cruise day decrease. So the number of ship coins and the number of gems required to complete each cruise day are related.

If you take a look at post #24 in this thread below you will notice that each cruise operates on a certain set. You will notice that stew (or any other four coin dish) will reduce the gem count by 60 gems up to a certain point.

So on Day 1 it will take 75 gems to complete that day. If you cook a four ship coin recipe you will only need 15 gems to complete that day. So you would only need a recipe carrying a 2 ship coin value and a recipe carrying a 1coin value to complete day 1. Each day the gem requirement increases but the values of the recipes remain the same until later in the cruise as you will see from the thread above.

I wasn't given any choice!! I kept trying to select Frankie but it was greyed out!! I could not choose Francine and that's not the recipe I wanted. If you're going to do this you should make sure it works!! Now I'm stuck with some stinking recipe I DON'T WANT 

Both recipes are different; their ingredients are the same. The ingredient drop is Candy Corn for your update to Post 2.

Hey Everyone,

Since I have received pms and others have posted questions in this thread, I will clarify here for everyone. I am sorry there were some errors in Post 3 which caused confusion for you which led you to think you get Frankie and Francine and both recipes. E.g. Frankie and Francine and their recipes mixed up and misrecorded in their individual goals lines etc in Post 3.

To resolve this, I have updated Post 1 with their correct respective goals. Please see Post 1 on how to proceed. I hope this will clarify for everyone. Please feel free to post if you have more questions or if you need more help. Thanks!

1. You can only receive 1 Essence for this cruise
2. You have to choose Frankie or Francine (you get only one person plus one recipe; not both)
3. Proceed with their individual goal lines to get Frankie or Francine plus their respective recipe
4. The other goal line which you didnt choose will expire

Hi! I just finished my cruise an hr ahead of time, hit the collect essence button, went to go check my pantry to make sure it was there, and the game closed, which it does occasionally. When I went back into the game, no essence in my pantry and no ability to exchange it for Frankie or Francine and it shows that my cruise ship has departed if I click the cruise area, which I think must mean it knows I completed the cruise bc it's not midnight Cali time yet. Also, I've force closed and restarted the game to no effect.


I have the same problem. I finished and got the essence but can not choose Frankie it says exchange and I hit it but nothing happens. Super upset.

Considering there are 17 minutes left I'm quitting this game if I don't get this resolved as I spend money and then don't get the prize when it says I finished and got the prize. This kind of stuff is why people are complaining. I get that it's a new cruise format, but that's no reason to mess up this bad. I look forward to you guys giving me the essence that I earned so I can pick Frankie.

I finished all the cruse tasks, the mad doctor (the girl with bandage on her face) visited my restaurant once and gave me one bottle of essence. I used it to exchange the recipe of Electric Tonic, and now I start to get candy corns from Frankenstein, and I already made Electric Tonic once. It seems to me that I need another bottle of essence to exchange the recipe of the other drink (not sure the name of it), but the mad doctor never show up again. How do I get another bottle of essence?

I completed the cruise within the time limit and opted for Frankie's recipe by tapping the 'Exchange' button for his goal strand. But he has not popped by once and therefore I can't complete the second step to actually unlock the recipe.

This cruise is a shambles. Why bother giving a choice of two prize recipes? And why do we have to do extra goals on the side to get the recipe - I've devoted enough time slaving over the cruise for 10 days thank you very much.

Are you sure that you collected the Essence from The Great Dentist before you redeemed your prize? If you didn't the prize won't go through.
