First try in the Breeding Roost with a Magic and Air yielded an 18 hour timer, so that’s going to be either a Peacock or Trickster.
Second try in the Breeding Den with a Neo Purple and Neo Yellow shows a 30 hour timer so that can only be a Candy Hoard.
Looks like the Neo series of dragons are proving to be quite lucky, got me the Neo Gobliin on the first try and now this.
At least the events and special breeding seem easy to accomplish in DS, it was absolutely ridiculous in FS.

Do pick combos that avoid the 20 hr Magic fails and limit other Super Rares in the pool (like Peacock, Jester, Eclipse).
If focused only on Candy Hoard, I recommend Cosmic x Royal, which yields the 1 common Genie (8hrs), 3 Rares (Music 10 hrs, Trickster 18 hrs, Crownprince 20 hrs), or the Super Rare Candy Hoard.
If happy with some Diamond hybrids as a 'fail', Genie x Diamond is as above (less the Crownprince), plus the fail options of Gold, Anubis and Gossamer. I'm trying Cosmic x Gold as its the same pool above plus a possible Quasar which I'd love to have much more than a Candy Hoard!

It was probably 18 hours (17:59) so they'd either be Peacock or Trickster.

Same for me using Eclipse and Royal.
Now I’m wondering if and when I’ll get that elusive 30 hour timer.

Tried many combinations, got only genie and royal. Then I got music and cosmic which I didn't have. Tried the cosmic and royal combo as suggested, finally got 30 hours. Thanks for the help. Now I am thinking if I have enough time to get it to level 10.

Like 10 fails, still nothing, just got 2 genies, ugh! Tried all suggested combos, will try cosmic/royal next. When a dragon is part of an event, no one should get 10 fails. I had 25 fails for leaf 2dragon tales back! S8 please, if these are part of events, can you code a limit of fails for us? Seems unfair to make something near impossible for one, and other get it in first few tries. A fail limit seems reasonable to request.

I also agree with both of you. i never bred the featured dragon in the last WE. Somehow I barely made it in time to qualify for the community prizes.
This is somewhat frustrating!

Anyone noticed that after evolving the Candy Hoard that it only counted as 15 Goody Bags and 4 bombs. Candy Hoard evolves for 30 hours and should give 30 Goody Bags and 8 bombs. Not only do we get *****ed out of the last dragon for the ridiculousness of the event but we get *****ed out of Bags and bombs too huh?

I wanted a Eve (black, white, yellow) so I had night elf and griffin in den, and it's 30h ★ This would be my third candy horde ★
Still couldn't comprehend how that combo could yield a candy horde, is it that black is split to red/blue to become purple while white is recessive? ★

Black is made by purple and blue so that contributed the purple element.

Still cannot get one on either of my accounts, sick of genies. How can u breed for nothing else and still not get it, this shows how rigged this game is. Might as well give up now, sick of wasting money on a game that is great but not fair.

I feel really frustrated that I've had two dens going around the clock and have had fail after fail. If something is going to be impossible to breed than it shouldn't be worth any points toward an event!! Of course without those 250 candies I won't be able to finish😡

No luck for me either... can't breed this one to save my life!
Cosmics, enough Genies to get wishes for eternity, Peacocks, Music, Royals, Tricksters... got ALL possibilities BUT the Candy Hoard. With 2 dens working full time. So sad. :(
Also means I can't get the bonus points to get the last dragon of the event.
