Collecting stars when tipping in new update

I love that we can earn stars for tipping with the new upgrade, but it is extremely inconvenient. They are hard to click on and I am constantly tapping the tables instead. Tipping needs to be simple and quick. Also, now when we collect tips in our restaurants, collecting the change after we already click on the table is a pain. Please fix this. Thank you!

While an update would be appreciated, I don't care for all this extra tasking.

I like being rewarded for visiting my neighbors, but all the extra tapping to collect stars and coins from tipping, cooking, or collecting my tips is not cool. Not user-friendly lavasoft. Get rid of it!

You don't actually have to tap them. If you just tip the tables, those stars get added. I think I picked them up a few times on the first day, then stopped. I still haven't dropped from a 4 star, and I never pick them up, or wait for them to pop into the star rating area.

Extra tapping to collect stars? was there an update that I wasn't aware of..? I know that they have this for fashion story but RS? please explain.

I think it depends what device you're playing on- on my iPhone4 you tap the tip on your table, then a star and coins icon pop out (i.e. two things) and then you need to tap them both to earn the EXP or money. However if you don't tap them and just sit there, it'll automatically go to your EXP/money anyway. On my 1st gen iTouch, there's no pop outs- it's same as before. You know you have the new update if on the left of your interface there's "goals" to achieve.

My question is whether the time it takes you to tap it (or to leave it) affects how much you earn, and if I were to not tap it but quit the app or go to someone else's restaurant, would I still automatically earn it?

Yes, you still earn them, if they pop out and you don't tap them. I don't collect any of them, in my restaurant or when tipping others, and they still get credited. And I agree with the different devices. I play mostly on ipod touch, but I also have one on android, and no popping stars and coins there.
