No leaderboard points despite 28 minutes left on the clock

I am really close to the 2200 points (2185) and have spent a bunch of gems to get there. When I harvested the crops that were supposed to push me over the line the countdown for Castle of Queens event was on 28 minutes, but I received no points!
There is still 15 minutes on the clock as I write this, but nothing I do gain me points any more. Is this some kind of bug?
I'd appreciate the community prizes please. I pretty much paid for them, after all ;)
