Well, the level 7 farmhouse I just tapped dropped 1 corn...lol. Never dropped anything but coins before so I guess crops are now a possibility.

For me, the only advantage of leveling up any of the coin buildings is in case a quest calls for a specific level. I had the level 6 toadstool farmhouse from the toad event, so I leveled it up just to see if it would count. I don't have enough spellbound materials to do all the other buildings, so I'm gonna take that slow.
Besides, I really don't want to give up 10 gold nuggets for the sparkling mine, unless there is a follow up quest that is important to the actual story.

As meme pointed out....coins and xp aren't really any type of reward for that amount of time and materials.

The tavern, jewelry, hatchery and stable can all also be upgraded to level seven. Collection reduction times are about two or three minutes on stable, hatchery, sawmill, mine and deep mine. I upgraded because all my supplies are maxed but it isn't anything grand so no worries about rushing things.

I agree that last even wasn't so fun. It was the first event in over a year that I haven't completed, I saw it as an opportunity to take a much needed break. This one tho is very enjoyable to me =)

The Raising the Stakes goal (leveling buildings goal) is not timed. So take your time on that one.

And I agree wholeheartedly about Ivy! Why is there always a carriage involved with these idiotic romance goals. Anyway...it's not Valentines S8.... lol.

I've been getting more than enough Ivy leaves from the bushes. I did chop a few acer trees as well but didn't see any significant difference in drop rates. Collecting from Ivy's hut isn't even necessary as far as I can tell. The holdup for me is waiting on soft feathers from the swans.

Remember, the stables drop hides. It could be 1-3 hides from stable. I always collect hides from them.

If I remember correctly it was not that grand. I didn't buy it but that was what I remember from the forum. It was a long timer and sometimes only dropped one dew. I have three unicorns and they keep me over supplied with spellbound dew. I highly recommend them if you have the MRC and the resources to craft them. I am working toward my 4th one. They also drop energy.

Pika- this happened to me, and unfortunately it seems to happen a lot. Is there something your team can do to keep it from happening? I know it isn't my internet connection, because everything else requiring internet works during these occasions. One time on a Saturday during an event, I couldn't get your game to connect all weekend which resulted in me not being able to complete the event. If I'd been able to play that day, I would have finished.

I don't regret buying it. Collection every 2 hours - drops 1-4 spellbound dew ( if I remember correctly). Average is 2.
But with it and unicorns I have managed to upgrade ALL my buildings to level 6. And made over 85 beams AND 85 blocks to spare - which I am using now to upgrade to level 7. Wouldn't make it this fast without it.

I Hope these Swans aren't going to disappoint each time we wait 3 hrs, that we don't receive soft feathers. The first dropped just "one"; second swan =nothing; third swan=1.... When any item/spawn is needed for a goal, they go rare! This has been the case since I started. And it's not just 1 or 2 players experiencing the 'phenomenon'.

I chopped several rock outcroppings yesterday from expansions & got the same as you 1-2 coal per rock.
If you have the lonely mummy from last Halloween, it also drops coal as do dragons occasionally.

I too bought the Black Swan because of the wording AND the fact that NORMALLY an item you pay gems for has a shorter timer and/ or better/ increased drop rates. Apparently NONE of these perks for the Black Swan so don?t waste your gems

I do not have the windmill,but did notice that the stables had a strongly reduced wool drop and the mines now hardly drop coal and also when chopping rock. But this is how it is done by S8 with other events as well they change the chance in drops/spawns which is needed in a particular event quest. For example when we needed 5 fangbeasts for daily munster hunt event, I haven't completed 1 of them during the munster hunt because of the low spawn rate and now get them all the time.

I got so much wing movement it's making me queasy.

Coal drops very very (!) slow. From 2 mine lv.6 (x6) and 2 deep mine lv.5 (x4) I got only 6 coal! From rocks 1-2 to 20 chop. What's going on?!

Try large rock piles again... The drop rate is much better than that most of the time for me... I just chopped 2 piles and got 14 from one and 16 from the other.

I only ever collected iron ore of them, so never collect from them anymore as I am always maxed on iron ore( not anymore though) so start collecting from them again but still no coal just iron ore.

Before the quest started, I really have high expectation with this Robin Hood. So I put all my tavern out (place to he hang out with his merry men), all my market (in case he goes to buy some goodies) and lot of cottage and farmhouses so he can help people with goodies he bought. I really hope he is some guy who our ruler can ask help to like old thomas or thurston. So we can assist him to help realm and win Ivy's heart. I want adventure. I want stories. I want some action. Some blow from ivy's potion and more.

Ivy dont need to be saved. She need to be an accompany. Equally to some adventure.

Now I'm just playing. soul-less. Sighh...

Coal is my stopper - normally I'm maxed but I crafted an insane number of wisps recently and I'm at nul, nada niente, we're closed. Thank you for hint regarding the onyx pearl (I found 4 in my inventory). Aside from the sources already mentioned, also the clocktower gives coal occasionally.

SW could we have the sources for coal listed on the first page, if it's not too big a problem? Thank you!

For those who need stocks:
COAL: can always be found by chopping Rich Iron Rocks. I just built up my stock
WOOD: don't forget your Icy and Twisted Willow Trees you stocked up in your inventory, you can get wood without growing the tree, but few Living Wood in them.
WOOL: remember the Lamas
LIVING WOOD: you can craft in your Potion Shop.

I like the walkers too.. besides keeping my kingdom 'alive' they keep my company too meeting them here and there. What could be done is a method to store them when out of season (like the witch) or for players when on low memory problems. I would be really depressed if they all disappeared

Yep, I'd like to know that too.

Got in a gem trap again, lost about 20 gems when I opened my game...and I have no idea on what (no sudden increase of energy noticed). Why can't S8 make a confirmation button? Other games can. I'm even less inclinded to buy and use gems like this. 20 gems is 4 gold trades :(:mad:

after you have reached chapter6.. it clearly states you have to collect from Dead Trees (that spawns Green Foxes) At this point get rid of your monster or you can't spawn the foxes! These not only drop the Green Roses you'll need.. but also Fox Tokens needed to craft your pet fox in the Trade Wagon for 15 tokens.

The level 7 cottage requires 15 yellow dye. If you are in a position to level up the cottage, you can use all the yellow and white petals from bushes to replenish the yellow dye.

My windmills never NEVER give flour.Thats why I put them in storage. Brought them out again a little while ago to give them another go but nothing for weeks so in storage again. They take so much to build too! Humph... mabe this is a glitch??? I would love them to give me flour...after all what is a windmill for??
Btw they didn't drop wool either but I bought loads of black alpacas when they came onto market so should never go short...hopefully.

I didn't even see my egg drop. Before finishing the collection from the 25 swans.. Henrich popped out and said something like 'this is the right egg'
I then checked the inventory and saw it there.
The goal automatically moves on when 1 egg is found.

I'm sure S8 choose the Trade Wagon as the crafting place to limit the Forest Fox to 1 piece. No way we can craft 2 at the same time. Foxy will remain 'single' :( Hope not.

Make living wood. You're going to need it!

Some other unusual sources for resources:

The stags from Baron's tent drop living wood about 1/2 the time, wood the other 1/2
Baby flygers drop coal about 1/2 to 1/3 the time, as do onyx pearls
Treeples drop wood and logs that can be chopped for wood

After a day of collecting, I can confirm it's not worth it to spend gems for black geese. Feather drop rates are the exact same as the white ones.

Yes, he was! At some point he's supposed to drop some special stone we use to upgrade to level 10.

I usually try to keep my posts informational and neutral but I'm currently on goal 8/10 and I have nothing nice to say but I felt the need to drop in quickly to state my piece as I likely won't be able to return before the event ends.

As I was completing goal after goal I kept waiting for something interesting to happen or to get excited about but it never came. I thought maybe there was something I wasn't seeing that would make this event interesting and worthwhile but after catching up on the forum all I see is that there is zero long term value to any of these items involved.

More birds to drop eggs? I'm full up. Another carriage that will maybe drop petals? I'm full up. Another animal that drops average pet drops? I'm waaaaayyy full up. Seems like all these items are destined for storage and I'm with the others who want the ability to store walkers that are only ever in my way or distracting.

Does this new addition to our skulk of foxes have amazing drops that will be of use, at all, ever? The treeples and boars offered such amazing drops compared to the norm that I was sad to see S8 didn't follow the trend with the animals that followed. Honestly, where is my incentive to finish this, other than just finishing an event? As I'm unable to leave a task unfinished without getting an ulcer I'll complete this but I won't enjoy it.

I'll not waste the space with my views on this lackluster, frankly stale and reused storyline as all the other posts I've seen on this topic have covered my views precisely.

I hope I'm proved wrong eventually but until then, good luck to all who endeavor to complete this and I hope you get more enjoyment from this than I have.

What will the carriage drop once it's fully built and event is over??? I can't waste resources for a useless walker/carriage

I'm sure S8 choose the Trade Wagon as the crafting place to limit the Forest Fox to 1 piece. No way we can craft 2 at the same time. Foxy will remain 'single' :( Hope not.

Craft remains open for second forest fox after first is placed. Drops rat tail, creep tooth, tomato etc... maxed on those! Could've sworn it once dropped coins with no black flag. Referring to crafted pet not spawned fox which drops green roses mostly and maybe 1/4 foxes will drop a token. Occasionally I didn't get any drops from the spawned fox!

Are you at part 9 Ivy's former flame? Craft for dressing Swanson only appears in forge when you reach this part. Swanson also looks very much like a white swan, check if you haven't stored a swan instead of Swanson .

From the front page, I believe there's a need for ten gold nuggets down the line. Which makes poor prizes more annoying.

Personally I like walkers. I like to see my Kingdom actually has people living in it. Could have done without another blooming romance though.

I read that it only requires 5 nuggets (compass) for the last step. I'm only at step 9 and I've chopped enough rocks for coal to get 4 nuggets.

Hi all, a couple of things:

* a fix went through on the black swan overnight.

* Henrick is the prize for this event and yes he definitely is a kingdom walker.

On part 8 now and pretty bored. Although I do love the graphics. I just get tired of doing the same things over and over again to level up buildings.

Oh and I wish that I had not pet Swanson enough for him to grow up. He was so cute as a baby. He just looks like all of the other swans/geese when he's grown 😞😞😞

Check out the Elven Outpost thread. The bird flies in and out with deliveries. (Which is why the outpost cannot be moved). It's somewhat interesting the very first time. After that, it's just annoying because the bird's arrivals and departures take over the board. I've learned to watch the timer, so I'm hopefully not tapping anything when it happens.

Has anyone noticed the size of those swans compared to the other farm animals? I put one next to a cow and the cow is frightened! Lol
It sure seems like a bird that big would lose more than one feather at a time. I ended up buying extra white swans too, when I realized how many feathers were needed, from birds with three hour timers and drops that are not guaranteed.

Crafting the green fox now, I'm not sure if I'll do a second one or not. That will depend on how many tokens drop while I'm collecting roses. I've also fought several foxes that did not drop anything. No rose, no token. Not cool S8!

Lastly, I'm disappointed in the lack of imagination in this one. It does feel like a repeat of Cindy and Stanley. Or Clyde and what's-her-name. Honestly, most women I know just aren't that impressed with fixer-upper carriages and men who want to 'rescue' them when they don't need rescuing.

I'm also ambivalent about another walker. They do tend to get in the way. (Kaz has taken a very disturbing interest in the swans lately. I half expect to find a few missing and a big pile of feathers when I return. O.O) And I definitely I agree with previous posts. All kingdom walkers should be part of the permanent story line. NOT prizes from timed events. We should be able to store those that are not main characters. And speaking of that.....I'm at a point in the mermaid line where Griselda is supposedly locked in the castle, and yet she's still strolling around looking quite haughty. It appears she has escaped without Old Thomas' knowledge. :confused:

As for the prizes, I have come to the conclusion that it isn't possible for S8 to give higher level players exciting prizes every time. There was a time when I'd have been thrilled to get items that dropped seeds, or petals. Fur, bones and creep teeth. I'm sure there are newer players who don't have a ton of sources for these things yet. But it sure would be more interesting if we could have a few more events with new, different, and exciting prizes and drops. (Like the Treeple and dire boars. The mermaids and elves did introduce new items and crafts, but unfortunately, their stories were allowed to just die. :( )

I just placed my forest fox. I think he looks mechanical. The way the leg is drawn looks like it was just attached to the body, add the blank stare and the twitchy tail and I think I have a robot fox!

Oh, boy thanks for the laughs this morning. Really need some for this event. I've gotten only 2, yea only 2, tokens so far from defeating numerous foxes, probably about 20. That's just too rare S8!

And repeats, don't get me started on those, bingo.

If you're gonna do timed event after timed event S8, you need to remove the random factor!

The dead trees certainly are DEAD, I've tapped 2,no spawning of the green fox! Then, you get a fox, slay him (7) times, DROPS NOTHING, Zilts, Nada! This event is also, so glitchy! It freezes up so many times...ridiculous. I'm aiming to craft the fox, then, I'll see if I finish. I'm putting Swanson in storage,I have enough resources for eggs. I am only chopping red acers. Just chopped one tree and got 8 Ivy leaves. Yellow acers (which cost more than red) and bushes are not as reliable for me.

I received Ivy leaves about 50% of the time from red acers yesterday, but today I am getting no higher than 40% and sometimes less.

It's definitely recommended to purchase as many swans as possible to collect the feathers. The spawn rate for the fox has been very good. I'm getting one to spawn with every dead tree. As for the foxes who drop nothing, that's very rare. About one out of fifteen might not drop a rose or token.

I have 5 swans out...I don't want to spend the coins, nor, do I want a gaggle of swans in storage. There's already too many items in storage. There are always players who have better luck than others. We've already seen that in all the previous events. I was doing well on the first day. It's okay. So true. We all experience different luck. My questionable luck is for Ivy leaves. Using a lot of energy on those. A lot of energy.
