There are new items to make in the workshop:
Red Thread: 5 Wool; 1 Red Dye (15 minutes)
Royal Shirt: 2 red Thread; 10 Blue Gems; 5 Wool (1 hour)
Royal Hat: 2 red thread; 5 goose feathers; 5 wool (1 hour)
Ugly Goose: 30 goose feathers; 25 cabbages (the green ones from harvesting); 1 rope (2 hours) - Plant cabbages if you do not have them in inventory and remember the boosts.


Notes on the Goose and Goose Feathers
* The Ugly Goose won't start spawning until you get to Goal no 4 when the goal asks for goose feathers
* Upgrading the carousel increases the chance to spawn the goose (doesn't happen every collection)
* The Silver Ticket exchange also has a chance to spawn the ugly goose (in addition to getting other items)
* You can get additional feathers from the Bronze or Silver Ticket exchange
* You can get additional feathers for completing the Gumptious Geese goal
* Defeating a goose will yield 1-2 goose feathers[/COLOR]


Notes on the Baron's Carousel
* Bronze tickets drop from a level 1+ carousel
* Silver tickets drop from level 3+
* Gold tickets drop from level 5+
* Ticket drops are random.


Notes on the Golden Cabbage
* Toadstool farmhouses drop 0-2 golden cabbages - and they have a slightly higher chance to drop (it's the Toadlettes way of saying thanks for letting them stay).
* Farmhouses drop 0-2 golden cabbages
* The Eggs & Dairy trade in the Royal Exchange also drops golden cabbage
* Harvesting cabbage (from your farm plots) also drops golden cabbage

Bronze tickets drop from a level 1 or 2 carousel, while the carousel must be level 3 to drop silver tickets, so while I have collected 10 cabbages, I'm going to wait until I've done my first collection from the carousel before upgrading. Hopefully by then I can upgrade it to level 3.
You need a level 5 carousel for gold tickets.

No spawns from chopping rock outcropping but did get blue gems. Would think the goose would spawn from farmhouses since collecting the cabbages there but why would it make sense...lol

I was hoping that too. Instead I got a fangbeast. It appears they have returned from the vacation they took during the monster hunt.  😑

I haven't tried chickens or cows yet, but those would be kind of logical too, since the dairy exchange drops gold cabbages. I just don't want to waste energy fighting fangies.

Royal Shirt: 2 red Thread; 10 Blue Gems; 5 Wool (1 hour)
Royal Hat: 2 red thread; 5 goose feathers; 5 wool (1 hour)
Ugly Goose: 30 goose feathers; 25 cabbages (the green ones from harvesting); 1 rope (2 hours) - -Plant cabbages if you do not have them in inventory and remember the boosts.

The Elven Boost that doubles crops collected DOES NOT double golden cabbages. Hope that helps someone :)

I got a golden cabbage too from the eggs and dairy exchange. May not be every time though (knowing this game most likely not).

Starting to make extra red dye...lucky I have the extra scorched roses. Carroussel gave me 2 bronze tickets on the first collection.

I only have 6 farmhouses out and got 4 cabbages in 2 collections in kingdom #2. And a fangbeast. ;)

I agree that Toadlette soldiers are useless and energy sucking and that they should no longer be spawning, however it isn't and issue if you park a monster.

True enough - BUT my 1st collection from the carousel dropped 2 bronze tickets (which ended up NOT counting toward 1st collections in goal area, annoying) & then my 2nd collection dropped only 1 bronze ticket. Meaning I had to wait another 2 hours to collect again so I could complete my 1st trade. Player naterdy in post #76 has a Very valid point.

This info on the first page in incorrect. The ticket booth does not have the same trades as the prize booth. It has 2 trades - one to to swap bronze tickets for silver and one to swap bronze and silver for gold. (You can see this from the info for the relavent side goal, as two of the tasks are to trade bronze tickets for silver and to trade silver tickets for gold.....it says silver, but you actually need silver and bronze - that's an error in the game though, so not an error here). Also, the ticket booth side goal is not triggered by upgrading to level 2, as I have the goal and my carousel is still level 1.

I know how much food to put in the pot just by eye judgement and do know when it's NOT enough to share.

1/ or... our goose starts dropping more feathers.. as not even in 3weeks we can collect all what is needed.
2/ or... feathers drop from from other places as well

No guaranteed spawning on level 3 carousel. (My first time no goose)
So how many times can I fight a goose if spawnrate is random?
And is it really only 1 feather every time? We need 30 for the goose + ? for upgrades...
8x carousel a day is my max, but will be hard work 2 weeks!
What's the difference between level 5 or higher?
Is it always 1 ticket and randow what color?

I really hope it's possible and I'm only missing some important info, but for now I can't celebrate this birthday with a funny event... 😕

I think the end prize are golden tickets. Dont know how many tbh. But if we want that pony who drop golden items, maybe we dont have to upgrade the building all the way to level 10. We only need to upgrade it to certain level which drop golden ticket and do not used it to mystery box. Save it until 20 and trade it. Bonus is if we collect silver or bronze, we trade it to ho get some nice stuff. And we dont spend all out feathers to upgradd the building but for crafted goose.

But this is my early planning. Still waiting for all info from who finished it early.

I just bought the ticket booth.
The Silver exchange (to get one silver ticket) requires 3 bronze.
The Gold exchange requires 6 bronze and 3 silver.

Funny....We're celebrating the Baron's 5th Birthday & so, S8 is finally admitting that THEY ARE THE BARON! That's as sadly comical as a carousel that doesn't move.

Hi, here is a part of my strategy,
Hope it helps.

I have 4 Toadstool Farmhouses.
From what i have read they are the best resourse for dropping golden cabbages.
Thus far they gave me 1 / 2 golden cabbages per collection of all 4. Most of the times they gave 2.....

This is how i play:
I collect from the Carousel.
Iron Rich Rocks seem to have a very good drop rate.
I have a Iron Rich Rock placed so if a monster shows up it is perfectly parked out of the way of buildings or sheep that i need for this quest.
I start chopping the rock(s) until a monster shows up.
I keep it parked for the time beeing.
Then i collect every 10 minutes (if possible) from the Toadstool Farmhouses.

I make sure that i have at least 20 energy if the timer of the Carousel is due.
the Goose takes 15 hit points.
I **** the monster.
I collect from the carousel.....

Not a guaranteed spawn unfortunately. Since dropping 1 single feather is most likely, it should be guaranteed to spawn.

I am beginning to lose my celebratory feelings too. I thought S8 was being nice but now there appear to be many limitations. I've had a level 3 carousel since yesterday evening. I finally spawned my 3rd goose but only have 4 feathers (1 feather may have come from a bronze trade). I have NOT received ANY silver tickets.

I also agree that red petals and wool (before the black alpaca showed up for coins) are hard items to require for events, especially because wool and red dye are definitely going to be limiting factors, so many will be used for this event it is going to hard to get enough gold cabbages, red petals wool and water without an Ali farm.

This 5th Birthday event certainly does fit with S8 as the baron (credit to NorthwoodsKing).

So I was feeling brave this morning and as I had the bronze and silver tickets, I spent the gems to get a gold ticket to do the Mystery Box and to my unending surprise I got 1 Toadstool Beam and the ALICORN! I cannot believe it but I'm certainly not complaining.

I've started a list of my trade results and the Bronze has given me: goose feather, red string, red dye, blue gem, wool, red petal, golden cabbage.

As you only get one small item from the Bronze trade I'm going to save my bronze tickets and trade them up for silvers. Hopefully those trades are better.

The two limiting factors in this event are goose feathers and wool. I was maxed on wool yesterday and used it all to get to level 7. It's nice that S8 has given us a wool source for coins. I've purchased 16 black alpacas and pulled all of my sheep out of inventory. The best use of gems is for the hat. It only takes 25 gems and relieves the pressure of needing the goose to spawn as well as saving a lot of wool.

I'm out of town on vacation and had no intention of playing the game, but this event is fun so far even with limited playtime. Don't get discouraged about the golden cabbages since the farmhouse only takes 10 min. to recharge. Just build as many farmhouses as you can fit in your kingdom and buy as many alpacas as you can afford. Good luck, everyone.

Yes, same for me. My T-farmhouse isn't that much better than the normal ones. Planting cabbages now.

For me though I think the issues is going to be the feathers - if they only come from the carousel and aren't a guaranteed drop I doubt I'll get very far with this birthday party celebration. Maybe rates will be better at level 4 or 5? Agree with meme1098's post above! Listen up S8!

Downside is that the Silver Trade is giving me the same returns as the Bronze Trade only with the added chance of a goose spawn, at least this is my experience so far. There are two booths. The prize booth which we purchase for coins. There is a separate goal for purchasing the ticket booth for gems.
Selling the prize booth won't clear the ticket booth goal.

I've been level 3 for 18 hours and I have yet to get a silver ticket and only get 1 bronze every time, a goose every 3rd or 4th time.


S8: please stop random spawns. This is frustrating. Why should players that have reached the same event level be getting different drops.

The gold cabbage spawn rate is really bad, I do not have space for 12 farmhouses like some seem to have and even they mention a drop of 2 per 12 farm houses. It is looking like an other event I will have difficulty doing and probably not finishing. Why can't we get gauranteed drops, not all players have lots of energy sources.

Gold cabbages also drop from the milk & egg exchange at the Royal Exchange (reports of one per trade) and can be randomly harvested with cabbage crops. Please note that using the elven boost to double crops collected does not double gold cabbage drops. I'm averaging 1 gold cabbage every 5-6 cabbages harvested.

My carousel is on level three and I have not yet had an ugly goose to get feathers from. I do not have anything in my kingdom that needs to be fought. I cannot craft the hat unless I get feathers. Is there a glitch in the game?

For me though I think the issues is going to be the feathers - if they only come from the carousel and aren't a guaranteed drop I doubt I'll get very far with this birthday party celebration. Maybe rates will be better at level 4 or 5? Agree with meme1098's post above! Listen up S8!

feather drops from the bronze prize trade are random, if any. so not a reliable resource as haven't seen any yet. collections so far have been wool, gold cabbage, red petals, blue stone, red ink.. NO feathers.

S8 -- Trouble getting geese to spawn & then if you're lucky to actually get a goose, it drops 1 feather. Now the Silver Trade, which should be dropping better items than a Bronze Trade, is giving out a measly 30 coins??? Come on!

1) glad to see S8 posting more in this thread then normal, thou i have a sad thought it might be bcos Stormwind isn't well. i'd rather have a well stormwind then S8 posting more thou so hurry up & get well, sending good vibes thru the ether Stormy.

2) i get so sad reading people's posts that are full of frustration about a game most of us love & it happens everytime the lucky/unlucky random spawn is involved.

it is a 2 week quest & we do have time & yes often people find they do manage to finish the quest even when they were sure they wudnt. But they don't seem to enjoy it, more endure it.

from reading pretty much all posts over last months happy players (who feel they are getting something for their money) talk about spending real pounds & pennys.

do unhappy ones spend more just to finish a quest? i can't think of any other reason. Thou it does level the playing ground between lower levels & level 50's with alicorn herds, but so did the celestial quest with the ivy's hut guaranteed rock drop that people cud gem for or wait it out.

i wish everyone good luck (& feel really quite sad that i know for many possibly including myself that it'll be a mixture of good & bad luck & success will be based on the ratio between)

hope everyone finishes or at least gets as far as makes them happy

The carousel drops tickets. At level 3 it starts spawning geese to fight. The goose drops feathers.

I don't think the geese are guaranteed, I just ****ed a fangbeast,( oh where were you last week) then clicked on the carousel, no goose :(

I have two accounts: my main account and a gifting account. I just visited my main account from my gifting account and ♡ed my prize booth (the coin one). Back in my main account, I collected from my ♡ed prize booth after completing a bronze trade and received one red ink. I had no beasties out and a goose didn't spawn. Anyone have any theories about why the prize booth would be ♡able? Anyone notice any difference if it's been ♡ed vs. not? Thanks!! :)

S8! You need to shorten the Carousel collection time or, at the very least, make goose a guaranteed spawn! 5 feathers for 1 single hat (20 feathers to just get to L7 & there's 3 more levels to go). How will this even be possible?

Upgrading the carousel increases the chance to spawn the goose and the Silver Ticket exchange also has a chance to spawn the ugly goose (in addition to getting other items). You can get additional feathers from the Bronze or Silver Ticket exchange and as a reward for completing the Gumptious Geese goal.

i agree totally with the, it being only day 2 point, not sure i explained myself well (i'm babysitting) but as i tried to say in my post it is a 2 week quest & so often in the past the forum has been filled with posters worrying at the start & then making it at the end, often only just. Am hoping this will be the same. My quest building is level 3 or 4 & that seems ok to me for day 2 it's very early days & i agree drop rates do change.

i was really just trying to say it just seems that with unlucky/lucky quests people worry more & don't seem to enjoy it as much maybe bcos of the uncertainty & things being out of your own control/destiny? & i don't like seeing the frustration. :-(

The Carousel has a chance to drop Bronze, Silver, and Golden Ticket, but you must upgrade to certain levels before the Silver or Golden tickets drop. The further you upgrade the carousel, the better the drops. You trade your tickets in the Prize Booth for a chance for different items. The Ticket Booth offers a way to trade up tickets to a higher rarity.

feather drops from the bronze prize trade are random, if any. so not a reliable resource as haven't seen any yet. collections so far have been wool, gold cabbage, red petals, blue stone, red ink.. NO feathers.
we need a reliable resource of feather collections.. not random.
random collections are not enough to accumulate what's needed.


Yes, they're random, but so are the goose spawns. I've done 3 bronze prize trades and got 2 feathers from them. I've collected from the carousal 3 times and only spawned 1 goose (although he did drop 2 feathers, so I have 2 from each method so far). The silver prize trade can drop feathers too, so 3 methods (although, granted, all random, so it would be better if we had a guaranteed source).

Correct. Unfortunately, they are not guaranteed. At the time of that post very few reports had been given as people were just starting to reach that level. Since then, it's been reported they seem to be somewhat rare. :(

I think my game only has bronze tickets. S8 isn't going to force me to spend gems (without asking for a confirmation) on the ticket booth. I just won't do the trades. My game has always been in the unlucky drop group so what's the point.

Appppppple has a great point. I would really enjoy this event and not worry on day 2 if every item wasn't random. We are all doing the exact same tasks the same number of times (in theory) why do some players have plenty of feathers and some have Ali prizes already and some have silver and gold tickets while others can't move past step 4 because no geese are spawning? Gem speeding isn't worth it either. Gem speed to have no spawn...beyond frustrating.

That's why the enjoyment leaves and negativity arrive so early in the event. If we knew every third collection spawned a goose, the silver tickets show up at this level every x collections (etc) players wouldn't get frustrated. Instead we read about the lucky and unlucky groups.

Well, for me, I'm waiting to upgrade Level 7. I've only rec'd bronze tickets. What's with the gold cabbages, when you do tap and see the word Progress flashing over the storybook, then, I see 1 cabbage? Why not more? This is how my Elven/Rune collection looks like....I have so many bronze coins, a little silver, and 1 gold. The drops are mostly bronze then the others. Exactly which levels drop silver and gold? Or, is this the same old thing of luck or unlucky? I still will play just out of curiosity to see when the better drops are coming! Hmmmm!

Seems like a great addition to our kingdoms.

I'm guessing the Ticket drops and trades are a permanent addition.

Feels slow going at the beginning but I'm sure once the Baron's Carousel is at LVL10 more tickets will drop.
I'm guessing we'll need 60 goose feathers (12 Royal Hats) to upgrade completely.
Should be doable despite the low spawn rates.

From what I can piece together so far we should be concentrating on collecting the 20 Gold Tickets to get the Pfefferknott Pony as it drops more tickets.
And the Ticket Booth will be important longterm to trade all your Bronze Tickets to Gold.
Buying now and getting the 20gem discount during the event seems smart.

Really wishing the Ticket Booth was only 1x1...
The animation at 2x2 is too large , would've been perfect as 1x1!

I have placed the carousel, and one of my farmhouses dropped a gold cabbage. You also have to buy the booth, where you swap tokens from the carousel for prizes.

haven't read an answer yet to the many questions asking S8 if the Trade Booth will be a permenant feature or not.. and hoping it is.. as this would explain the princely cost of this feature.

if on long term play we collect many bronze tickets.. yes it would be a very important feature as we would have a pile up of bronze like the 'Eleven Runes' and also similar to the 'Trade Wagon' where we could exchange our different coins into something more useful instead of loosing them due to overflow, it would be worthwhile.

certainly on a short term event of 2weeks, having so few drops per day that we can count on one hand.. this price is abit expensive.

I did get the Trade Booth, taking advantage of the gem return, as I'm being positive on it's outcome and hopeful for it's future, but certainly a risk until this question is answered by S8. I personally see it like the 'out of season beastbane' where we continue collections.. just crossing fingers and hoping I'm right thinking this way.

Hello, im new on forum. Im level 37 and i wanted to ask you guys, so there are some quests where we Have to spend money?
See my case, I have zero sheep because it costs gems. I bought one alpaca , i want to buy more but im short on coins. Probably at my level the coins is always needed for something. So I guess with 1-2 alpacas and stables I won't get a lot wool and besides im so short on red petals. Because the red flower costs gems... besides we ll need more than a hundred golden cabbages that are not dropping good....
So my question is - should I give up? I don't want to wast resources and not finish it in the end.
I really loved the hauting, but this quest is just way more difficult. And the funny thing is that it's timed! It seems impossible...Especially for players like me... who don't spend money right? Or it's more designed to people with higher levels.

Sucks only found 1 goose so far yesterday and I was clicking the carousel every 2 hours guess I'm not gonna finish this event as I can't get past level 3 all because of the terrible spawn rates
