Have you noticed this with other LB or SB animals? I wonder if it's a sort of consolation prize for making us level up those specific animals during events when we would rather level others? I never managed to get to the end tournament. every round I lose 3 times before I win. and use the same elements in combat as others who have won. Strange!!! I'm always wasting unnecessary about 100 gems to speed up time into the next fight. After intense play and investing in real money, I am now losing interest in the game.

Fantasy, bbhome, poofyena, Myst, mylipsaresealed, alohatami, greytmom, Vitale, and Applewhite (hope I didn't miss anyone) you're very welcome! Glad some of you are having as much success with PawPaw for nature as I did! Not every animal I use are epic, some are 10 and a few are lower.. The correct element is most important! There's nothing wrong with trying the same animal you failed with again, if it's good in battle it's a higher chance it won't fail again, as you see in my results I use the same animals over and over. Good luck everyone!

PS sapphire does look strange with same color gems all over her body, I lol'd at the wart comment because that was my first thought, however I'm thinking this one may be better than aquamarine in battles, aquamarine fails more than hits for me :)

It doesn't make sense because it's supposed to be the best fighter (Ultra Rare; Level 15; using Rainbow strong against both elements of the opponents). I used it 6 times in this tournament and didn't get a single critical hit.

Yeah! I go back to the basics too when I get stuck! These tournaments are very strange. There are many times I use fighters I've used in the past on the same opponent & it fails miserably. It gets a bit frustrating at times!

I don't know what you mean. If you meant the fire element in Rainbow Dragon is offsetting the power of the Rainbow element, my Pinata Puppy (another Rainbow animal with Fire) worked quite well. It's all about luck. I just had a bad luck with Rainbow Dragon. I just like to point out (as I did many times before) that Storm8 often throws probability out. Good LUCK everyone one.

Actually, my Pawpaw Bear in the secondary account worked in my first try. It's only Level 10. My Level 15 Pawpaw in my main account is useless in four tries. Again, it's all about luck. It doesn't make probability sense.

Thank you for posting your results. Your results in most cases are quite useful. The question I have (the same question I asked before) is whether the animal gets fatigued if we use it repeatedly (consecutively). Yours (including some other players') results do not suggest fatigue is a factor. Unfortunately, I do not have any luck with using the same fighter consecutively. For example, in your posting Grand Unicorn is a great fighter for you. I counted you used it successfully for 11 times, many of them 3-4 times in a row. The question I have (the same question I asked before) is whether the animal gets fatigued if we use it repeatedly (consecutively). Yours (including some other players') results do not suggest fatigue is a factor. Unfortunately, I do not have any luck with using the same fighter consecutively. For example, in your posting Grand Unicorn is a great fighter for you. I counted you used it successfully for 11 times, many of them 3-4 times in a row. Perhaps this would cause fatigue. One long time player said their animal seems to get fatigued at around 50 battles doing both arenas. As you've seen ever tournament, I use the same animals, and many times 3-4 times in a row, with no issues. I sometimes switch to test other animals but I don't hesitate to use one I know is good back to back. My suggestion to those still doing battleground is to NOT do it during a tournament, it's permanent so it'll be right where you left off ;)

4. I don't use the 30 gem nuke, no need. I use skip each round (4 gems) to complete it and share my results with you guys. But as I said in my lengthy post explaining all this, a 30 rd tourney costs 120 gems, say you fail 5x add another 20, now that's 140 (192 in 48 rds) if ppl cap their limit at 200 they're still ahead, you get very far then have 9 more days to complete less than half! So my thinking is, these animals sell for 1000-1500 gems in the shop, I'm getting it for less than 200! And I'm free to enjoy my weekend because I hate cking in every hour..stress free! :)

My suggestion is go by the element ppl post to win a battle, you pick your best (meaning hits critical like a beast) animal of that element, paying attn to your secondary element that can slam you into neutral and you lose if your second isn't strong or neutral against enemy.

Thanks for your detailed reply. I think we're just trying to express our opinions based on what we experienced. Actually nobody really know how the system (program) works. I am a scientist so I have to trust the principles of probability (which is supposed to be what this game is about). These principles are - using the right element, higher rarity, higher level should give us a higher probability of getting a critical hit.

I play this game with a rigid discipline - I do not spend money and I try not to use gems as much as I can. Planning, time management, and diligence are the three most important factors in this game. So far, I have not had failed any tournament. So why do I complain?

It's because Storm8 threw the probability rules out (as you and other players pointed out). I strictly followed the rules of probability in my main account but used random attacks (lower rarity, lower level, but definitely the right elements) in my secondary account. My secondary still does well (although I played more casually - not doing very hour). My main account does much better. However, I am not sure if science gets an upper hand, if I take the diligence factor out (I saw many of my Epic Ultra Rare animals failing often). In the end, "LUCK" plays the most important factor, which takes the challenge out of the game from my perspective. Good "luck" everyone.

I'm struggling a bit this tournament, even using the suggested fighters. One thing I have been seeing that is unusual for me is that I will have an animal throw a weak attack, and then the next attack using that same type of attack will be critical, or vice versa (critical, then weak). I know this happens sometimes, but it has been happening to me quite a bit this time around. Also, if it helps anyone else, I just got done being stuck on round 23, Granite Golem, but using my Cursed Rose, fire attack.

I've actually had the opposite experience. I spent soooo many gems on the last tournament trying for Peridot. It seemed that every time I spent, I lost, over and over. I felt like such a chump! And no Peridot to even show for it! But many of you are saying it's worked well for you, that's good to hear.

And now on this tournament I've had a MINIMUM of 5 defeats on EVERY level except the first. Have kinda given up on Sapphire since I'm currently stuck on just level 21... but determined to at least get to 30.

I agree completely. The strength/weakness relationships (that I've worked hard to both research and document) are really not any more reliable than the random critical hits that come from neutral foes IMO. However from my experience playing other games for multiple years, I've seen devs go back and fourth adjusting the odds as usage changes. I would think the same is true here. Would be nice to see it swing a bit towards "more s****, less luck."

Regardless, I simply love the fanciful assortment of colorful creatures and constant events and happenings in this game, so I'm in it until I max my expansions and habitats to the hilt... which will be a long, long time from now!! :)

My own experience is that I use the same animals and the same strategies for every tournament and some I do well and others I struggle to complete. There is no consistency or logic for the disparity. I have to assume that the game is tweaked for each event.

You can't find them in storage. But believe me they are. When you reach the act where you need to have a feather it will automatically complete. Hope this helps

What is the deal with this tourney?! Normally the extra long ones are no big deal for me. I've been stuck on Hydro Yak all day, stupid Hydro Yak! What is the deal with this tourney?! Normally the extra long ones are no big deal for me. I've been stuck on Hydro Yak all day, stupid Hydro Yak! I've used every combo if electric, rainbow and Christmas I have with one spring thrown in for good measure. It all ends in a 1/16th inch line left. Every round has been at least five losses. What is going one? At this rate, I'll be hard pressed to finish the tales let alone win the stupid pony. Ugh, this is so NOT entertaining. Real life is less stressful, lol!

Thanks to Eluzyion's detailed reply I have had much better luck with this tournament. I have beaten higher ranked animals with level 4 creatures that I would have never tried before. That being said I would like to ask how to skip through. I am stuck on level 32. All I see is pay gems to play again.

You can spent 30 gems for a ultimate attack during fighting your opponent. That's expansive but if your stuck it can help. My suggestion is only to use it at the end if the timer is almost done, and your stuck on the last round for example. (And you really want the animal)

I pay 4 gems to skip through doing battle after battle, it never costs 30 gems for me, if you fail you can use 4 to try again but gems are the only way to skip :)

Also Ty for your feedback.. I've tested low lvl animals that have done well, but not 4s so appreciate this feedback! :)

I'll second this. I'm also having multiple losses frequently (If not every round). I keep getting down to a barely visible, microfilament of red. It is very frustrating. I'm glad the SP looks like it has warts; it makes me not care if I get to round 48. I just want to make round 30, but I'm currently stuck on 25.

It means the 4 gem spend to fight again instantly without the hour wait. I guess it kinda means skip the wait time and fight again straight away.

Ugh this tournament has really been taking it out of me. It feels like every other animal is taking 5 or more rounds to beat, and I've had at least 3 animals that took a whole day to beat. I'm currently on round 37 but even with 3 days and however many hours I still am not confident I'll make it in time

Just won the final battle against the Sapphire Pony with the Petal Peacock (rainbow/water) with 3 rainbow hits. Peacock was successful in earlier battles. Many thanks to all who posted their results, I looked at all of them and the chart as well. This was a tough tournament. One thing that would really be helpful would be to post both elements of your fighters. A number of warriors listed are no longer available (such as Alice or Big Bad) and there is not an easy way to find out what their second element is in order to find a similar fighter. Best wishes to all those still battling.

Well, just before bed I was on pearl peryton and told myself. If u win this opponent, start spending gems! Well, I beat the pearl! So I started speeding and this is what happened

Round 44 - won, critical
Round 45 - won, critical
Round 46 - loss

I suppose we have to keep it in perspective. We are playing a game. If we don't win a virtual animal, it really doesn't affect our lives on the outside much. I'm on level 138 and through the years, I may have won 5 tourney's. I just don't have time to battle every hour and as I can't afford to spend too much real money on a virtual prize, I have accepted I won't win them all. I do win most of the storybook animals and came in first on leaderboard a few times so that's ok for me. This is just a fun diversion away from real life. Though I do admit to getting frustrated when it takes 8 battles to get through a level.

I wonder what the next theme will be? I love the butterfly that's available now and the monarchy. A whole selection of butterflies would be awesome! (I'm gonna cause a riot saying this.....but no more horses and dogs for a while! After the rest of our birthstones of course!)

Skipping the wait time wise; I personally haven't noticed any difference in the amount of tried it may take per round. I usually wait until the last day to skip so maybe this effects the outcomes.
For example, Peridot Pony I skipped the wait for the last 5 rounds, it still took between 3-5 attempts per round and 7 attempts for one I think.
This game is so random for me.
