14 rounds completed all by my RS L15 except round10 RS ....Rs lost but opponent went down to supreme L15 ......can it last ? Doubt it :)

Got to have this dragon for my main account, I love rainbow hybrids. Got plenty of time so I won't spend gold on speeding battles. But I do use the videos, now active on my main account.
For my second account I never spend gold on battling, I even don't care about battling at all. But I always like to see how far I get, usually I get stuck at one of those level 20 champs.

For me no problems so far, rounds 1 to 9 won by Fire(15) on main account, rounds 1 to 9 won by Fire(10) on second :)
All fights were won by one, two or three bashes :D ;)

Main account, dragons are level 15 if not mentioned:
First loss round 10 against Rainbow Sentinel, Fire is in the spa. Air took care of it with one hit.
Rounds 11 and 12 won by Fire.
Fire lost against Nouveau, Forest won.
Round 14 Sour Candy won by Fire.
Round 15 Sweet Tooth won by Forest.
Round 16 Sentinel won by Air.
Rounds 17 to 22 won by Fire.
Air, Fire, Forest and Afterlife(13) lost against Berserker. Seen somebody post about Virtue, mine is only level 10. So tried a higher level pink first, but no succes. Maybe Virtue next, we'll see. Virtue(10) lost, Diamond won.
Rounds 24 to 27 won by Fire.
Fire lost against Feathered, Forest won.
Air, Fire and Forest lost against Warrior Queen, Diamond won. Which is quite surprising, usually Diamond can't beat a dent in a pack of butter :p
Rounds 30 to 33 won with 1 or 2 tries with Fire or Forest :)
Air, Fire, Diamond, Glasswing(10), Mithril(9), Light, Forest, Water and Night(11) lost against Glasswing :(

Second account, dragons are level 10 if not mentioned:
Air lost against Rainbow Sentinel... Rollback, arena cooling down but Air is not exhausted :) Tried again and won with a single hit.
Rounds 11 to 14 won by Fire.
Round 15 Sweet Tooth won by Forest.
Air and Fire lost against Sentinel, Forest won.
Round 17 Prime Chroma won by Fire.
Fire lost against Pot of Gold, Forest won.
Fire lost against Supreme, Forest won.
Forest lost against Rainbow Rose :( Somehow forgot to heal Fire, or was it another one of those lovely roll-backs? :rolleyes: Anyway, next round Fire won.
Rounds 21 and 22 won by Fire.
Magic, Air and Diamond and a whole lot more lost against Berserker. In the end Diamond claimed victory.
Fire (2x), Forest (2x), Air, Diamond, Magic, Life and Light lost against Glimmer :(

I noticed a pattern with this tournament too. I'm not going to say what it is but anyone who's stuck, you don't have to necessarily use the dragons I used but you'll notice a pattern with those that I used.

I've mainly been using Red Queen 4 since my Fairytale is busy making babies. So I would try Fairy types against Rainbow types or champs. Make sure the level difference isn't too huge. So if the opponent is level 1 don't use level 15 against them, use 3 - 6.

In one of my accounts I have gotten through round 22 (waiting for 23) using ONLY my Virtue level 13. My other account's Virtue is level 11 and it's beaten all but two opponents (I used Mithril level 12 for those). So break out your Virtue if you get stumped. Happy battling :)

I used gold to finish the tournament (no ultimates) and I will tell you Warrior Queen was a lot harder to get down than Glasswing. I lost 5 times to her as opposed to downing Glasswing on the first try. Beat Berserker with Water 15 Mb, beat Warrior Queen with Magic 12 M and beat Glasswing with Passion 11 Mb. I decided to finish early so it won't interrupt the Tales.

Ended up getting past it with my Passion. Sometimes that thing shows up big!

I'm glad more people are sharing tips on the tournament forums because sometimes suggestions out of the box can help others. This is why I almost always post my results but I do understand my results may not work for others (like my level 15 Water win against Beserker worked for me but Water failed for others, then Fungi worked for a few people). This is where all of you come in. Heck, I've been stuck on dragons for a day or more too and it helps when more people post what they used.

If you haven't gotten past Stellar Aurora yet and have a Stargazer from the last Tales then I'd suggest trying him or Lonestar. Or you could take a walk on the wild side and try Forest.

I know it's said over and over that 'nothing changes' with regard to odds of winning during these tournaments yet time after time I get stuck for DAYS. (Never an issue with normal battles). This time it's round 16-Sentinel 17. It's so far beyond ridiculous that I don't even know what to say anymore.
I NEVER expect to win these things even tho there is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't win. I so rarely even come within striking distance-- I typically don't bother.
So now I'm faced with not finishing Tales or ultimating a round I should have won at least 2 days ago. I don't use ultimates as a rule and I'd never even consider it 20 rounds from the end!
Not sure I have an actual point to make other than ERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Algo is stopping me on Rainbows End, keep doing the highest odds dragons and I have plenty of them and keep getting the same 1/8th left losses, means the computer program is stopping me. I hate that...I should not lose 6-8 times on one opponent, it is a waste of time and annoying.

I had that too...the algo wasnt letting me beat that and in my other acct I am stuck on Warrior Princess 17 or whatever its not letting me past on that one. What I finally did was started using throw away level 1 dragons and finally got past it. When the game isnt allowing you to win with the BEST you have, it is intentional so instead of repeating the diamond/passion/pyramid/soccer etc try some low level ones you can handle not missing until the game lets you past.

I've been spending hours and lots of gold trying to speed through the tournament today, so I could catch up on my dragon tales battles with regular battles. I FINALLY won the last one, took a screenshot of winning Double Dye. Paid 4 gold to start trying to win with protector dragon... realized he was still evolving, so I paid 2 gold to finish taking him to level 10. I was mid-feeding him to a 12 when my game crashed.

When I opened the game the battle tournament icon was back. I figured I'd just have to re-do the last battle... but nope, it RESET BACK TO BATTLE ONE! My protector dragon was still out of the evolver, so the server knew I'd done that. But it TOOK my dragon I'd won! I do not have time to rebattle 36 dragons- and it will royally mess up my tales if I try! I'm so frustrated!!

I posted this in the Bugs section but have no response yet.

My forgefather was my savior this tournament, it took care of Berserker and Warrior Queen (both bMb), and to my surprise, it only took 2 tries to take down Glasswing, thanks to Light Mother(mbB). Hope it helps someone.

Sorry to hear that but well done you for taking a screen shot as for not hearing back, they have limited staff supposedly working on the weekend which seems a bit weird as I play the game a lot on the weekend.

It will be sorted and it will probably be easier doing the battles required for Tales with baby dragons, good luck!

If you haven't yet, send an official report/complaint to Storm8 support: https://support.storm8.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
They'll won't be able to do anything until at least Monday, but they should be able to look at your game history and see that you completed the tournament. They can send you a replacement Double Dye.

In the meantime, I would go ahead and complete the Tales like normal and just disregard the repeated tournament.

I hope it gets sorted out for you quickly!

I spent almost two days on Berserker. That is ridiculous. Just used an Ultimate which I have never, ever done before. But, I had to move on because of the Tales. All I need to do to finish the Tales is win the 4 battles in Ch. 10, and time is running out. :( After dumping all that food into Creator and Protector, I am not letting the Tales go over one stupid battle. :mad:

The Ultimate animation is very satisfying, but 30 gold is WAAAAY overpriced. It might be a minor expenditure for those who have GPDs, but lots of players don't have any. For those players (like me), spending 30 gold on one battle round is a big deal.

I think once this Tales and tourney is over I'll be taking a long vacation from the game. It's just not fun anymore.

Addition: after thoroughly checking out my game, I think I'll craft Magpie (140 Feathers collected right now) and then be done for a while. I need a break.

I'm still just chipping away. My rainbow sentinel 12 has done most of the work, level 15 guilded knight and 15 Diamond are picking up anything RS isn't. Berserker was a major jerk- spend near 2 days on it. Soccer 12 finally took him down. Wreath was my last dragon and I used king 12. I have a bit to go so I will be checking in every hour. Besides berserker I've been doing ok, knock on wood. 3 tries has been the most besides that hell dragon. I've recently been quitting early in the tournaments when I get stuck for days and days on some teenage level 6 snotty nosed brat who won't go down. It's nice to actually see the final day of one.
I'm sorry to all who have been kicked around in this tournament, good luck to everyone chugging along and lastly congrats to all who have their new dragon cooking on their nests or in a habitat already.

Chances look really slim to finish this one with a little over 12 hours to go and 8 more dragons to fight. I really dislike the 36 rounds. I remember when it was just 12 to 18 rounds in a weekend. Hard to do Labor Day activities and play these games. Oh, well. Got stuck on Berserker and Warrior Queen for too long and needed to use my gold to upgrade the dragon storage and Try to advance through Tales but even that is hard with the Tales battle requirements. Just got to the Pokey round and realized he's an odd duck in this tourney. All the other dragons (besides some of the Champs) were rainbow hybrids. I love Pokey, he's one of my favorite dragons, but have always wondered why he's NOT a rainbow hybrid? It seems very fitting, and much better than his boring yellow/blue/green typing. And, he should have been called the Quilled Dragon, as well. :D

Anyhoo, we are down to the wire now. I've got 3+ hours and 2 dragons left. It will be a close one. Might have to use a gold or two to speed the last bit of the last arena cool down timer.

But, all things considered, I'd rather have an attractive recolored dragon than something like Galleon or the Hot-air balloon dragon. With over 800 dragons, they must be running out of ideas.

So true. I thought I was the only one who thought Galleon and Hot-air were ugly dragons. However I do like the design of the Double-dye. It's just the egg that looks mismatched. It looks like it should've been used for Tropic Tide which, by the way, should've been a Tropic type instead of a Rainbow type.

Just finished the tourney with a little over an hour to go and after some heart-stopping weirdness fom my wifi. No idea why, but it wasn't working for like 8 minutes. Ugh. It was awful. I was almost in tears. Took two rounds to beat him with Glasswing and I sped the arena just to be safe in case my wifi went weird again. I need a drink.

I couldn't message you or I would have. I don't see the bomb type listed anywhere as to what colors to use against its color (bomb). It must have weakness in the code or it'd never be beaten in battle so do you know where I can find the info? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Being a programmer i wish I could look at the code and make a comparison for weaknesses but that most likely is asking (dreaming more like lol) too much. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
