Since my spreadsheet hasn't been updated in forever, here's an alternative from SKT168 and Supervolcano. A brief quote explains.
Quote:
http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?t=15203 ...And here's the rest of my original post. Hey, everyone. Over the last several weeks I've been making my own excel spreadsheet. It started off as a small personal project, but slowly grew into something larger. I'm fairly certain that this spreadsheet does more than any other spreadsheet that I've seen posted anywhere. Currently, the spreadsheet is only available in .xlsx format. It cannot be converted to .xls because of some of the formulas and formatting used. I'm also messing around with google docs, but I haven't figured that part out yet. Current Version: Version 2.100: This version contains only the updated units information, and not updated mission information! Parts of the Infrastructure and Fortifications tabs have been updated with Pengbo's formulas. I'm not exactly sure where they will work better, but I trust his knowledge of excel. Thanks to Supervolcano, Pengbo and Neeboopride for their help and contributions with this update! Here is the update link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/dnwmwz...WW_V2.100.xlsx Old Versions:: Version 2.000: Version 2 contains minor changes and updated building information. http://www.mediafire.com/file/lgydng...WW_V2.000.xlsx Version 1.000: http://www.mediafire.com/file/jbwgnk...WW_V1.000.xlsx In addition, special thanks go out to those who helped compile data and contributed ideas. Thanks to Neeboopride, Pengbo, Supervolcano, SKT168, and unison999! Enjoy, Vorpal Last edited by Vorpal; 07-01-2010 at 01:11 PM. |

Just wanted to say a great thank you to Vorpal and the other contributors.
I really like the new look, but if its possible would recommend some modifications.
Thanks once again for all your efforts and if I can help in anyway let me know. |

Thank-you for cleaning up the thread!

Yes, your first point has been brought to my attention. It will be fixed with the next update. I haven't gotten to updating all of the mission data yet. When I do, I will account for the skill points and bonuses that are received from mission mastery. I am not likely to reduce the complexity of the missions tab - it is easier for a user to hide or ignore some information than to not have it present at all. I'm not sure about the conditional formatting rules used in the missions tab at this moment. I will look at it again when I update - what is there right now is probably what was easiest or fastest to implement at the time. |

Thanks for the spreadsheet! Great work!
Just one problem: When you input 'Automated Sentry Gun' it does not add 75 to your defense. It's like it doesn't even matter when you add a new one. |

Yup... That is due to the previously mentioned error. It will be fixed as soon as I have time to work on it and release an update. I will fix this before I release a missions update. (Sorry to those people waiting on the missions update.) |

For those users with a Mac, running iWork '09, here's a modified version of Vorpal's V1.0 spreadsheet, with some elements of V2.0 included to use with Numbers.
http://www.mediafire.com/boron - ignore the .xlsx version for the moment, needs some adjusting. As soon as it's fixed, I'll edit this post. |

Your comment there could be taken as one of a number of ways.....but if you've grabbed the .xlsx version hosted there, you'll notice I've not done much other than put a different emphasis on the number of sheets needed, and all the credits to yourself and others mentioned in your original spreadsheet, still remain.
It's not like I've tried to take credit for something I didn't do, but that which I have done. So, with respect, I didn't see a need to contact you prior to modifying it for myself, and as there's been no .numbers version for those of us with iWork to draw upon, I've simply offered up one, which is merely a modestly revised/tweaked/spelling corrected version of yours. They always say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - I hope you're looking at it as such, and not some form of plagiarism. If there's any aspect you're concerned about, please feel free to PM me. |

I found a few minor errors. In the Units tab, for the Ground, Water, and Air portions, you did not extend the sum to the last row.
In Ground, the blue Offense, Defense, and Upkeep sums are inaccurate because the first two miss the bottom two rows, and the upkeep misses the bottom row. # Owned is also missing the bottom two rows. Water is only missing the upkeep for the last row. Air has all four of the columns short one row. |
