It is a religious holiday for some. I try to respect the beliefs and customs of others.......

P.s. Sorry for writing mistakes or wrong words
I'm sorry, but I do not see the point of criticizing other people's religious holidays. If you believe, great. If you don't, great---but there is no need to "hate" another's religious custom.

    Actually, it is.

Valentines day is named after a saint in Christianity. There is a lot of debate and disagreement among scholars about the origins of Valentine’s Day. We’ll probably never be able to disentangle all of the cultural and religious threads in order to reconstruct a complete and coherent story. The origins of Valentine’s Day lie too far in the past to be sure about everything.

However this doesnt necessarily mean its a holiday of worship... it was just named after a saint.

I second this. To most people Valentines is not religious. It's candies and cards and pink things

Actually, for some, it is a day of worship which includes a special mass, rites, etc.

I simply do not see the point off an " i hate" thread that criticizes the beliefs others. I don't remember seeing "I hate" Ramadan, Christmas, Rosh hashAnah, etc. Those would not be appropriate and neither is this. Really, the religious customs of all should be respected.....
