Welcome to the new[ish] Storm8 boards! With any luck, you've barely noticed the change. We tried to keep the most active forums intact, while merging in smaller forums that will benefit from having a larger viewership.
Why we reorganized While each forum had its own perks and charm, we felt the Storm8 community was growing too spread out across the different subsections. This wasn't just the case for between games - even forums *within* a game spread thin, and often had duplicated content. An example of this was the "Support By Users, For Users" subforum. While it was intended to be a place where players could discuss the nitty-gritty of the games and help new members, it ended up overlapping heavily with the Bugs section and General Discussion. Having larger forums covering a broader variety of topics will create more conversation than the previous, more granular structure. The New Forum Structure, At A Glance Taken from the Restructuring Discussion Thread:
Regarding the Clan/ATM Forums Each game now has a dedicated forum for Clan and ATM activity (World War is linked). This differs from the "addme" board by focusing more on the group aspects of Storm8 games. In general, visit the Addme boards for codes, and the Clan codes for groups of friends. Going Forward If you have a thread in a locked forum you'd like revitalized, either post it here or shoot me a PM. Finally, let us know what you think. The forums are by no means set in stone. For instance, if forum games like Corrupt a Wish Foundation overrun the Off Topic area, we can give them their own offshoot. User-created game guides are another example - the more interest, the more likely we can spin them off into a new board. Last edited by CoffeeStorm; 08-03-2011 at 10:23 AM. |

You don't think that the forums have thinned out because your 'fan base' is diminishing, do you? I mean, really. If you tick off enough of your customers and they leave... then the same goes for the forum usage. "Support By Users, For Users"... ? ha...
