Changing the daily request minimum to 40 makes all the difference, now this event is becoming really enjoyable imo. But I may be biased as I generally like storybook events which, from I gather from the forum, isn't the 'norm'

Yes it takes some pressure off. We play these games to get enjoyment from them and get all excited when a new event comes up, but then we see some impossible/near impossible task up ahead after some clever person has done the math, and then instead of enjoying it we have attention on the fact we possibly won't finish it.

With regards to the 40 neighbours requests, SparklyOctopus has spoken with the team. Seems like there is no limit to the amount you can request and receive (since it isn't a part request). Please let us know if that is not the case.

I think everyone should have no issues getting through the 40 since there's no limit. It's fairly easy with the new neighbours I see you all are adding. So don't worry about this task. Have fun and good luck to all!

I'm confused about the note that there isn't a limit because this isn't a part request. Did the developers specifically raise the limit of sending/receiving requests from neighbors for this task? Because every single time we have had to ask our neighbors for something in the past--even if it wasn't a part required to build anything--we have been limited to receiving 21 (20 neighbors + Stormie) back each day. So unless the developers specifically said that the limit was removed for this quest, I'm dubious that this won't be a problem.

If we get to Thursday and it turns out that this report is wrong, it will be likely that there won't be enough time to make corrections so that this quest is feasible.

If they changed it, they must have done it sometime today. I reopen twice a day normally, and in the afternoon open today it said one of my neighbors sent the deckhands request 2 days ago. I sent it off immediately and feel bad if they still needed it today.

I'm a little skeptical too but since it's in writing and said SparklyOctopus confirmed it, I think they would make it right if we all start screaming Thursday.

Regardless won't gem at all because those are generally lost forever even if S8 gives everyone the bird... I mean parrot.

I've collected from 5 ponds three times each now and no shipwreck trolls! I do not have a monster hiding anywhere on my board and I need 6 trolls?!? This is going to take awhile.

Which day are you on? Just curious because different people are seeing a lot different rates.... Can you add more ponds? Sometimes by having 10 or so you collect for all at once seems to do better than 2 separate tries of 5.

Yes.. that's happened to me before and I lost 100 Energy from a PinkAli. Terrible! Here's a hint on what to do before collecting anything important.. and during ur play. This includes doing the various Chapters on or PirateEvent or others. Visit a friend or nbr just before u do, so your game will update and not 'stall' as I say in simple language.

I've done 8 adventures so far and no Pirate Kitty for me neither and i checked my inventory. He looks so cute as well.

I've done adventures constantly and gotten nothing except jewels and gold paths and one gold nugget. Does a Pirate Kitty really exist?
