Yes, you can sell your habitat. Just tap on it, and then tap on the "move" icon in the bottom right corner. This way you should get a selling icon.

Unless you buy a valuepack which has a habitat, that one goes in to storage. Otherwise it's not possible to store a habitat. Selling it is no problem
