Question: will mining expansions ever reopen?

For those of us who mined the floating isles and didn't expect it to just close up shop suddenly, will we ever get to expand more floating isles? I'd like to have both mines working, but that hasn't been the case in ages...


Any thoughts or inside info on if they're permanently closed, or if the programmers plan to open it again one day?

Highly doubt it will happen since we just got the new land and there really isn't a place to put mire floating land that I can see.

The cool thing they could do is still let people that have the full expansions mine for food and coins in that mine instead of island parts. Maybe put the rare(very) Gold down there, too. That would be very nice...
