Not being notified about New updates

I'm starting to realize that I'm not receiving notifications about new updates for Restaurant Story. I don't think I've received a notification in a few months. I've noticed that I've received requests for neighbors for items seemingly for appliances that I don't have access to. I've just downloaded the Renaissance Fair version after reading about in this forum what the mysterious ye old knobs were for. I imagine I'm having the same issue with these sapphires that neighbors are requesting. I'm also concerned that this may be happening with other games as well, not just Restaurant Story. Is there any way for this to be fixed? I know I'm missing out on gems and appliances, but I don't know what else.

It is hard when new seasonal versions come out because there is normally no in game notification unless a promotional goal is released later.
I would suggest keeping an eye on the forum .
Weekly updates threads for the games are stuck to the top of each game's discussion forum.
