Help - got third item for dragon egg and then lost it!

Where do I report a lost golden fleece? It was the last thing I needed to incubate my egg. It popped up when I tended a sheep and I started reading the dialogue and saw the "use" screen" but I couldn't press the buttons to use the diamond or the fleece, and then a fangbeast arrived and the sheep went back to being untended. When I retended them, of course, no fleece.

Do I keep waiting or did I lose my chance?

Force close your game and check / collect again. If you had a sync error, you'll need to get another one which should drop soon.

Thanks. Force closing didn't work but hopefully it will show up again the next time I tend.
