How to buy locked goal items ?

Ok I did not find any thread about retiring the Goals items after 5 days.
Here's what is happening if anyone could shed any light, that could help me understand what's going on!

There are three items locked by Goals ( which I never had in my Goal book )
1- The Carolers
2-Lyrics Sheet Stand
3-Holiday Choir.

Never Got those as a Goal to do, (maybe I started after the event) and now they are being retired and I wanted to buy the first 2 items.

How S8/TL put them to be retired without unlocking them for those who did not get the goals ( meaning who did not get the chance to do them )- and not meaning -they failed to do them in the timed event -in the first place ?

How are we supposed to buy items locked ?

I really wanted to buy them because I saw them at one of my neighbor's resaurant, they are really cute.
Now I am missing this chance, because TL / S8 is keeping them locked!!
Total paradox if you ask me, since we were not given the goal in the first place to get them, the usual way, now they are offered but still locked ( shakes head) ?

I'd also love to be able to buy them before they're gone forever, but they did offer that goal way back in 2012 as part of the 12 Days of Christmas goals. I was only active on BS that time so I missed it. I could understand why they're still locked for us who missed the original goal... but still, one can wish. xD

That's not fair!! LOL! I want these items too. Why even have them show up in our deco list if they aren't going to let us buy them?

These items are intended to still be locked by goal for anyone who did not complete the goals when they were originally available. We went ahead and removed these three items from the group of items being removed this week.

To be clear, this does not mean we are releasing them for everyone. There was actually an unrelated issue that would occur for players who did complete the goal once the items were removed. However, these items may eventually be removed at a later time. Sorry for the confusion!

Thank you Frozen Turtle, I think that is the fair way to do it. After all, people worked hard for them a couple of years ago so I like that they are still locked. I am sorry to everyone, but just the way I feel about it.
